The kick had not connected, so he had aborted the right cross afterwards, instead moving toward her as she continued back-peddling. His left leg would give a big stride though and he would pull his right arm back, telegraphing what looked like he was preparing for an overhand hay-maker.
"You pack a punch, darling! But it's my turn now!"
He would through it, through nearly shoulder over head, directed toward her face. However it was a clever disguise. Austin's punch would rapidly drop, elbow curling before it could make contact and she could grab it.
His knee's bent and he thrust himself toward her, his shoulder instead looking to slam into her midsection. It was a feint he hoped he could trick her into staying focused on reacting to a punch toward her head. That remained to be seen.

As Austin moved forward, Phoebe didn't stop. She wasn't a stationary boxer that could take a lot of punishment, staying within range and reach to land her own blows. She wore her opponents down and used the advantage of mobile movement to capitalize on opportunities and sometimes break through reach and defences when her opponent got too comfortable with her evasions.
Austin was quick. Just a smidgen slower, so they were on a decently even playing field.
Bee's advantage, then, lay within her fighting experience. And by all means...Austin was displaying signs of flash. He took the jab. He was - it seemed - having fun because of the way he spoke. And he was telegraphing on top of telling her something big was coming.
Very, very obviously telegraphing.
Even in a spar that was a red flag. She naturally assumed him competent from their previous interactions and his eagerness to see what she could do, his willingness to spar.
So as his punch came in, she weaved only an inch to the inside, making it seem like he duped her so he would remain committed, before she bobbed to the outside of his strike, around his punching arm with quick foot and legwork. With the movement, her hands traded places in her guard, allowing her to step in slightly to put some power into her low uppercut to his midsection that snuck below his arm while ensuring defence in case his elbow came up and back somehow.
She didn't stick around after, though she would have normally pursued competitively. She backed off on spritely, springy legs, her expression set and finely focused.

Austin would keep his initial plan intact. He had he had never gone through with the Overhand Right. It had curled just as he previously planned, before it had came close enough to even hit and he had dropped into a low shoulder thrust. This meant her uppercut would likely land upon his shoulder due to his shift into a lower stance.
It might sting, but Austin was still attempting to ram his shoulder and body weight against the female he was fighting. If it connected, he would probably knock her away. She might keep her footing, but she would find an unrelenting Austin following up quickly.
He would keep moving forward and if Phoebe was still standing, his left side would shift toward her as his left arm rose and he aimed to lift her up with an uppercut to her stomach. If she had lost her footing, he would take the extra step and try to punt her like a football across the gym floor.

Being that Phoebe completely moved to the outside and thus Austin's side, and Austin's forward motion was committed to, the brunette wouldn't be in danger of being shoulder-checked.
She drastically slowed her momentum from dancing away as she saw him naturally continue forward to burst forward, behind him, and plant her shoed foot against his rear in a solid hit that was meant to make him fall forward - hopefully not onto his face, as he had a rather pretty friendly one - and down onto the floor. That...would be something her little brother would be keen to do.
She would then back off, not at all intending on beating on him. She took a breath, watching regardless of whether he fell or not. This was good. And tough.
She really didn't want to be hit. But chances were likely she was definitely going to be on the receiving end very shortly.

Austin watched as she moved around toward his backside, the only adjustment to his moment had been to straighten up. So when he felt her foot hit his rear, his lead would slide forward so that he could shift his weight and save himself from falling. He would pivot on that leg, bringing his left side counter-clockwise as those hazel hues turned to look at her again, that cocky smirk still present on his face.
"If you wanted to touch it, you could have just asked.."
A chuckle would escape his lips as he began to walk toward her again. As he approached striking range, his walk turned into a quicker stride as his hands lifted into his loose boxing stance again, elbows raised and hands resting near his jaw-line. A stiff jab would be sent toward Phoebe as he approached. This time, he was going to pick his shot carefully.
She was nimble and she knew how to move. That served her well, but he had yet to land anything solid. He was unsure of how she would react when he actually did. But he was enjoying it thus far. And he was sure it would warm up before it died down.

Bee's head cocked to the side at the quip. She cleared her throat, uncomfortably, but made no comeback. After all, she hadn't touched it: she'd kicked it. That was a pretty big difference, she figured.
She watched his approach, hopping lightly in place, gauging as his hands came up. Likely straight on...yes. Phoebe used her high-guard hand, knocks her forearm against Austin's with force and pressure as she moved slightly to the outside of his strike, hopefully bending it inwards.
And instead of attacking with her low-guard hand, used her inside foot's sole to smack against the side of his knee, hopefully making him crumple. If he did, her foot would touch down against the floor, lightly, before jerking forward to connect to his side, likely along his upper arm and shoulder to make him fall away from her.
It was something new for her. More experimental than anything.

Austin watched her movements and had been prepared to react this time on a more serious note. The jab had been sent with less intent to hit, more so to bait the girl and pick apart her reactions the best he could. She moved toward the outside of his left jab and using her forearm to knock it inward.
Austin would react by retracting his left jab and pivoting on his left leg as he brought his right side counter-clockwise, knee's bending as he would look to drive his right fist into her stomach, thrusting as if he was trying to punch through her.
It was likely her kick would be on it's way around the same time he sent his punch. Her foot would probably connect to the side of his knee, but he would remain standing in his lowered position. If the punch landed, Austin's fingers would look to grasp at her shirt and lift her up as he twisted back the opposite way and looked to throw her like a rag-doll by her shirt.
If all went well, he would begin moving toward her immediately, not giving her much time to prepare. It was time to keep he pressure on her, make her sweat. Austin was interested in seeing how she fought when her opponent took a more relentless approach.

Oh no!
As Austin lowered himself, Phoebe knew she was in for it. She couldn't really do much, so Austin's fist drove into her abdomen and she exhaled in a pained whoosh! But, she shifted her weight, using her foot against his knee coupled with the blow to send herself tumbling away considering she would no longer have time to even think of setting it down with the simultaneous attacks.
Look, Ma! No throw required!
It would also push Austin's knee further inwards. It might make him topple, but at the very least it would prevent him from immediately springing after her. She twisted and rolled to her knees, coughing lightly with her abdomen already complaining. She probably had a bruise.
But she used the momentum and leaned back to bring herself back up to her feet, having gained a small bit of distance, she worked to keep it while maintaining her breath, her calves and thighs working to keep the movements fluid and non-jarring.
Guy packed a lunch. Holy cow.

Austin wasn't able to grab her because his punch, along with her foot to his knee, would send her away from him. His balance was off-set a little, but he would recover quickly, kick off his hind leg that caught his weight. He would push himself toward Phoebe once again.
He would move directly toward her, shifting toward his left just before he's reach her. His left arm curled defensively near his head as he dropped low and then threw his body toward her. His right bicep looked to slam against her chest as his right arm would attempt to curl over her shoulder. Austin was attempting to lifted her up and essentially clothes-line slam her backwards and onto the gym floor.
If it worked, and he hand managed to slam her onto the ground, he would be resting at her right side. His right arm would look to keep her pinned and that left fist of his would shoot a couple quick punches for her face. He was holding back a little power in his punches, but he didn't want her to know that. This was just for fun, though.

Coming back up and seeing Austin moving in, she had to wonder how he'd recovered so fast—or would have, if she wasn't thinking about what he could be doing.
He was pretty speedy and she was roaming backwards, which cut hers but also made it easier to shift directions and turn her body.
Which was what she did, now. Turning to essentially face Austin's side more than facing him directly, Bee would duck and crouch somewhat, tucking her chin in just in case his arm still made a glancing blow to her head. Bee stuck out a foot as she did so to trip Austin up! He was likely moving too quickly in his attempt to clothesline her to be able to stop, but she was aware it may not work all the same.
Still. She could hope.

Austin would be unable to clothesline Phoebe as he had planned, due to her ability to dodge. Knuckles was beginning to see that she was rather slippery. She would successfully trip him up, his left hand catching himself before he would hit the ground, landing upon his knees. His head turned immediately back toward Phoebe to make her location known.
"You sure know how to bring me to my knees.."
He'd chuckle slightly as he pushed himself back to his feet, watching over his shoulder incase she was feeling froggish. If not, Austin would turn to face her as soon as he made it to his feet and begin to move toward her. He was going to have to figure a way to get her to play his game instead of dancing around.
Taking a few quick steps toward her once again, Austin would throw a simple left jab, lowered to aim and hit her in the chest. However it would be retracted shortly after as Austin hunched low. His was looking to get a reaction. Movement in any direction or her trying to intercept the blow. Either way, he was going to adjust and throw his body toward the girl, pulling his right knee up to thrust it in her direction, to try and find Phoebe's body.

She was starting to feel tired. Not terribly surprising, as this spar seemed to edge more towards a fight. And she had to stay on her toes, with her and Austin so closely matched, and the high and intense emotions from not that long ago, it was no wonder.
So even though she continued moving backwards, it was more little by little to gauge her opponent as he came in. She sucked in a quick half-breath and darted to the outside of the jab, her lower arm dipping ever so slightly lower so that as she weaved to the outside, she could use the twisting motion of her body for a hook that would connect along his abdomen just below his ribs. A firm exhale would tighten her core and give a bit of an extra oomph to the blow, though she wasn't aiming for damage or lasting hurt.
He might get a bruise, though.
Still, if Austin used the knee it would strike her side and send her stumbling a step and then down onto the floor, rolling over her side to displace some of the momentum.
And maybe push back to her hands and knees, and feet.

Austin had not been expecting her return fire, when he knew he probably should have, it had cost him a punch. But he had landed his knee at least, sending her stumbling before falling to the ground. Austin would suck some air in, stretching out before rubbing at the spot the punched, briefly. Beads of sweat had begun to drip his forehead, the tank top he wore beginning to absorb.
It had been fun thus far and he knew he could go on a little while longer if he wanted. But that really depended on whether or not Phoebe wanted to continue. He wasn't trying to hurt her and he was sure she wasn't aiming to do so either. He would begin to step toward her slowly, arms dropping to his sides as spoke.
"Heh, you're pretty tough.. For a girl."
He would give a chuckle at his playful words. She was tough, regardless of her sex. He still felt like teasing. They had been pretty even. Austin was glad he had got to see her in action finally. A smile appeared on his face as he extended both his hands toward her.
"Get all that angst out?"

Bee automatically looked for Austin as she pushed up to her knees. When she saw his arms lower, she slumped back onto her derriere and gently crossed her legs, chest rising and falling in quick but excited breaths. Were they done? She could probably be done!
"For a girl..?" She laughed and shook her head. "Oh come on, don't tell me you subscribe to that!"
She grinned, the serious and focused fighter disappearing now that she was no longer fighting. It wasn't so much a personality switch as diligent training taking hold, and her competitive drive (and sometimes a drive to survive) came forth. She could be a scary fighter, when needed.
Still, she knew that her body, as a female, was less powerful than the male counterpart. Still, she didn't take offense to it. But, in her mind, she was strong for a teenager. Because she was fearless, she would go toe to toe with a male and not think twice.
Her hands lifted to settle themselves against his palms and squeezed, letting him help her or just using him as a hand hold to rise to her feet. Whichever it was, she nodded.
"Well, before for most of it, actually. But this....yeah, this helped, too~! I'd like to continue, but, I think I'm a bit overloaded from earlier~"
Still, she would grin, lips stretching wider than before, in genuine happiness, and think nothing of quickly throwing her arms around him for a squeeze!
"Thanks, Austin!"

After helping her up, Phoebe had thrown her arms around him to give a hug. He was actually a little taken aback by it. He hadn't been expecting it. Austin also wasn't sure how he was suppose to take it. She seemed like the kind, up-beat type. Maybe hugging friends was something normal for her. But he still couldn't help but wonder if it was something else.
"Any time you need me, I'm there. I mean it."
His right arm would return the hug, wrapping around her back as his left remained at his side. His smile would stay upon his face, but it seemed the young outlaw was blushing, at least a little bit. Maybe Austin was reading a little too much into it. He wouldn't deny he liked her arms around him. But he would release when she did, and lift his right hand up to slick his hair back into place.
"I was glad to hear from you tonight. It was fun."
