""You're not meeting performance expectations, kid! You're letting your family down kid!" Yeah fuck you, Tak. Yall ain't even my family..."
The school day had just ended, and Macht was on his way to tutoring, at Takehiro's behest. He grumbled all the way there, aggravated that he'd have to spend MORE of his free time at this god forsaken place, when it already ate up most of his day. And it's not like he's dumb, either. He's smart. Just, street smart.
After fifteen minutes of dragging his feet and walking as slowly as humanly possible, Macht found himself at the tutor's classroom. He stood, uneasy, outside the door for about five minutes before he pulled it open and headed inside. What he saw was a little disheartening.
He was the only guy here, aside from the teacher - a looker, too - who sat at her desk with earphones on. Macht walked in slowly, looking around and appreciating every moment he hadn't been noticed. Eventually, however, he walked in front of the teacher and waved, and she jumped, startled.
"Dear me, I didn't actually think anyone was going to show!" she exclaimed, removing her earphones.
"Yeah, well uh... I'm here. I guess."
"You're aware of what I do here, yes?"
"Uh... Yeah. I need some help with my, uh... Class work."
"Good! I mean, not good, but you know what I mean. Have a seat!"
The lady gestured toward the desks and Macht sat himself down in one. She stood and walked around her desk with a clipboard and sat it down in front of him. A list, he supposed, and his name was going to be the only one on it.
"So, M... Macht, is it?" she attempted, reading his name. She tried saying it a few more times to get it correct, then sat the clipboard down on her desk. A few more attempts and she held her hand out to him him. "I'm Ms. Rayner. It's nice to see someone taking their education seriously." Macht shook her hand with a fake smile, though not entirely fake. He was going to remember she wasn't a Mrs. "Yeah. Let's go with that."
A small chuckle left the teacher's lips and Macht began to rummage through his backpack for papers.
"So, what is it I'll be helping you with?"
"Uh..." he pulled out his binder and set it on the desk. "Everything."
