A brand new group is on the making, The Apostles, a Pillar-like group led by none other than our brand new headmaster, Gregoire Girard. A student body that would lead students and enforce the law on this little school of ours. Little is still known about this student body, but who knows? It might just be what the school needs.

Within the suburban area of New York City, in a large and rather secluded forested area, the faint sounds of metallic tings as the air was sliced could be heard. Standing in the middle of the area, a lone figure could be seen with twin katanas in both hands. Since the break of dawn, after completing his daily training, Kazuya had been practicing his Kenjutsu. Though it wouldn't help him at school, since weapons were strictly prohibited on campus, off-campus, it was free game.
Just as he was about to take a break however, he would suddenly tense up as a feeling ran through him... the feeling of being watched. Both his ears and eyes open for any sounds and signs of movement, he would have his katanas at the ready, prepared to defend himself. |

"Whoa, whoa, whoa," A man approached carrying a messenger bag, a lit cigarette bouncing up and down in his mouth between his two stud piercings in a snakebite pierced fashion. His hands up as fingertip-less gloves were raised, fingers wiggling. "Take it easy there brochacho I just come bearing a package." His hand reached into his bag as he began to whistle absent-mindedly, talking between bars of the song, "Don't suppose you could make it easier for me to find you. Businesses pay loads for special courier such as this... little Hikari..." The hand in the bag pulled out and whipped fast across as a dagger was launched in the air toward Kazuya. Turning around at the sound of a voice coming up from behind him, Kazuya would regard the courier with a wary look. A package? He didn't recall ordering anything... And it was a good thing he didn't lower his guard. As the dagger came for him fast through the air, Kazuya would swing one of his katanas in a vertical slice, to try and knock the dagger out of the air and to the ground. From there, instead of charging forward, he would instead stand his ground, katanas held at the ready and eyes narrowed at the man.

"Ohhhh no no no this won't do at all," The courier grinned as he reached into his bag and grabbed some newspaper out from it. The crumpled paper began to compact in on itself until it had a metallic look and formed a dagger. "I'm a courier, I have a package to deliver. With very specific instructions."
The dagger was passed to his other hand as he reached into the bag and repeated the process before charging in with a speed that would prove greater than Kazuyas though his sharp eye might follow the movements easily. Whistling continued whenever talking didn't, and he began swiping the throwing daggers to try and slash toward Kazuya's throat, keeping one dagger back defensively with each swipe.

Eyes narrowing further seeing the newspaper in both of the man's hands compact and form into daggers, his pupils would dilate at the speed the man took off at, but he would be able to telegraph the man's movements easy enough. Bringing one katana to block the swipes aimed at his throat, with each slash, Kazuya would move backwards, the sound of metal clashing against metal ringing out, sparks flying out from each block. With his other katana in his hand, Kazuya would aim to swing the katana out in a tight horizontal arc, aiming for the man's stomach, to cut him. |

With each clang the face of the courier would get a little more serious, but the whistling would keep up all the same as he continued his onslaught of attempts only to have the guy go for a horizontal sweep as it came in he caught it with barely just the tip but felt his own dagger get pushed into his side. He quickly lept back and to the side using the force of the blow and going in that direction as his hand grabbed at the cut.
"I'm not getting paid enough for this shit." Both hands reached into his bag as he produced five more daggers, tossing them up into the air. The five daggers soared down toward Kazuya, the first one that hit an inanimate object would have an interesting side effect.
[Qi tier 1: Dagger form (Use 8/8): Allows the user to transform everyday non-organic material into a throwing dagger, there are no special qualities to these daggers.
Qi tier 3: Dagger Storm (Use 1/2): When throwing his daggers around he can toss them up into the air where they become suspended for a moment before he picks a target for each dagger. They then launch toward that location using 3/4 {30} users int as dex
Qi Tier 4: Weighted Materials (Use 1/2): When either Courier or his daggers hit an object he can use this Qi to cause the object to add on weight equal to 1+1/4 his int in lbs. {50 lbs added to katana if used to block, otherwise to whichever clothing it touches unless missed completely}

His eyes widening seeing the man pull out five daggers and toss them into the air, all five hovering for a moment before soaring down towards him, Kazuya would dive to the side and somersault, managing to avoid the first one, but the others would require him to swing his katanas rather wildly in horizontal slices, to knock the daggers away from him, though not all of them, as a couple of them would end up cutting his clothing in various spots. Quickly getting to his feet, Kazuya would face the courier, this man had a few tricks up his sleeve, no doubt he had more. |

As it was the first inanimate object hit by any of the daggers, Kazuya would notice that one of his Katana's was now 50 lbs heavier than before, quite a hefty change. As he somersaulted the Courier dove to grab the first dagger he had thrown, two more still in his hand, and the five that he had launched still scattered. He took a puff of his cigarette the ash falling onto the ground as he would stomp on it, twisting his feet.
"So then, little Hikari, how goes it?" He would whistle quietly as he launched two of his throwing daggers to test out how his Qi was affecting his ability to swing the sword or even move effectively. He had studied his opponent and his particular skills seemed quite the matchup for the boy.

His eyes narrowing in response to the man, the effect had been immediate on one of his katana's, Kazuya having noticed one felt heavier than the other. As the man threw two daggers at Kazuya, he would swing the katana that still weighed normally at the daggers in a horizontal slice, only to find even his movement felt restricted. One of the daggers slicing the sleeve of his hoodie, gritting his teeth, Kazuya would slice off the sleeves of his hoodie, the cloth dropping to the ground, whether it did any good, was up in the air.
Dropping the heavier katana to the ground, he would hold his remaining katana in both hands, focusing on the man. The odds were definitely against him, but he wasn't going to give up. Never give in, never give up. |

The song he began to whistle would pick up in pace as he would roll his shoulders and hold his hands out. "This might just be the end, little Hikari."
All eight of his daggers would return to his hands as he gave a deadly grin. He would six up into the air while holding onto two. The six in the air suspended for a short while and then all charged their target, which was not Hikari but rather his remaining sword. Upon any of the daggers hitting it, the first one to hit his sword would weigh it down by 50 lbs as well.
He would charge once they were gone with two daggers in hand, "Nothing to stop me little Hikari, SAY YOUR PRAYERS!"

 His eyes narrowing further seeing all the daggers return to the man, as he would throw six up into the air and hold onto two, the six soaring straight for not him, but his katana, with an almighty roar, he would attempt to execute a spin attack with his katana, knowing full well the moment his katana touched one, it would be weighed down, which is why the moment he came out of the spin attack, he would drop his katana, leaving him defenseless.
Seeing the man charge once they were gone, he would not run away, but would face the man head on, to die an honorable death. Slowly lifting his hands and holding them in front of him, as he did so, he felt a heat build up inside his body, but it wasn't a painful kind of heat, or like when he had a fever, instead this felt... invigorating.
Like he could do anything.
"I WILL NOT DIE TO THE LIKES OF YOU!"
His roar echoing through the forested area, his eyes burning as intensely as fire itself, suddenly, without warning, a pillar of flame would spring up between Kazuya and the man the moment he was close enough, the flames towering high into the sky. |

"SHIT SHIT SHIT!" He yelled as he felt flames surround him and burn his clothes and skin. The daggers in his hands heated to an alarming degree and he was forced to drop them as he jumped out of the fire and charged at Kazuya, his skin was seared and his clothing was still lit in a few areas, the rest scorched, but as he charged forward he would roll, grab one of the daggers and with both hands try to stab Kazuya in the gut with it, putting both hands behind it and feeling his body disagree and scream at him with every movement as his heart practically beat out of his chest.

Staring wide eyed as the pillar of flame suddenly erupted from the ground, he was confused as all get out on how his Qi, which he thought had gone dormant all this time, suddenly resurfaced, but he wasn't going to complain about it. Pointing both his hands in front of him as the man charged at him, a dagger held by both hands as he tried to stab Kazuya in the gut, he would send blasts of fire at the man's face, to burn his face. From there, he would strafe around the man, to try and get behind him, and follow up with a heavy punch to the back of his head.

The blasts of fire to the face caused him to fumble his dagger as he brought his hands to his face, screaming out in pain from the burning in his eyes as he was temporarily blinded by heat only to take a hefty hit to the back of the head. As he fell to his knees he managed to say, "I was just... hired... dude..."
Before falling forward onto the grass. His daggers would uncrumple into balls of paper as his consciousness would fade.
(OOC: Go ahead and put a closing post if you wish, thread is finished pending staff member look over to determine if Qi is unlocked as a result.)

Standing over the fallen form of the so-called "courier," with his fists clenched up, Kazuya would glare down at the man, part of his face hidden in shadows, giving his face an intimidating look (not that there was anyone around to see), the man's daggers were now nothing more than uncrumpled balls of paper.
"... Hired to kill me. It was my life on the line."
Whirling around quickly, once he had gathered his katanas up, he would walk away, leaving the man unconscious on the ground and to his fate. |
