A lunch box is seen last Friday, around 12:37:08pm with an encouraging note packed inside. This appalling display that utterly lacked manliness has left many students stunned and outrage, as some decided, after a long while, to speak out against it.

"YE—wait what?"
Momentarily shut down, as she thought it was super duper obvious, Phoebe stared. Wait he liked roses to? What was he doi—oh. Oh~! Distracted, she looked down, gently grabbing his arm in both hands to turn his inked skin more towards the faint light from the nearby lights before delicately tracing a finger over a petal.
"Wow. Wow. Okay. Uhh...yes. I like roses, too. Butthattotallywasn'twhatIwantedyoutoguess!" Just as abruptly - and gently - as she grabbed hold of his arm, she let go, once again beaming. "You're the guy that met my little brother here! Allen~! My last name is Hollows!"
Her grin stretched wider. How ironic was that?! HOW AWESOME!?

How on earth was he meant to know that. Why ask someone to guess something they had no chance in guessing. He had met so few people so far that the idea that he would randomly meet the sibling of someone he met before seemed strange, and In the same park as well. Though the youth had indeed mentioned that he had a sister.
"Small world." Steven simply said wondering how someone could grin so much without hurting their jaw. Hadn't Allen said that he could also see his sister in the role of the school captain if he didn't get there. Someone so bright and peppy as this girl was, well that would certainly be a breath of fresh air in the role.
She must have had good parents and a decent up bringing. Because Allen and her both seemed quite well adjusted compared those he knew from the past. "Didn't think I would have made enough of an impression to be mentioned however." Steven would say, maybe the pair talked about everything. Hopefully he didn't sound to bad in whatever Allen had said.

Her grin eased back into a pleasant smile. She had hoped he'd be more excited over it. Buuuut, in the end, she couldn't expect everyone to have a similar outlook as she did. Still, it didn't quell her inner joy.
"Wellll. He didn't really talk about you. But he texted me to tell me your name and where he was in case you turned out to be an axe murderer or something~" She laughed a little at that, more amused at her brother's wording in comparison to the carefree note she had sent him a few short minutes ago than the consideration that maybe he was and maybe it was just a little too convenient. She stood straight and stretched again, looking up at the sky before doing a bit of a pivot-twirl and pretty much flipping back onto the bench again. A little closer than before.

So that was who Allen had texted. HE had wondered, thinking it would have been his parents, instead it was his sister. Slightly odd, but it did mean that the pair of sibling were on good terms. His cousin James, had a cousin from what he had but he never really had interacted with the family. Something long past, that Steven had never thought about asking. There was probably bad memories there and he didn't want to annoy his cousin.
However there was a couple of words that had caught his attention. "Axe murderer?" He repeated them, wow that was nice. Though probably smart just because Steven might have seemed nice at first, that didn't mean that everyone who did was deep down, for Allen to be cautious in this day and age. Phoebe stretched and the landed back in the seat. It was closer then he could remember anyone sitting next to him in a while. Kind awkward but that he knew was hormones expect of a teenager talking and he ignored them.
"Well tell him I said hello when you see him." Steven said, taking a larger sip of his beer then normal, in fact it was probably large enough to certainly call a gulp instead. "And thank him again for me as well." Steven added, talking about when Allen had helped him.

The brunette let out a peal of laughter again as he echoed her words. "Well. It's New York, y'know? You just never know~"
Really. She probably shouldn't have mentioned it, but, the cat was out of the bag. Regardless of whether the gulp was audible or not, Phoebe glanced over, watching curiously for a moment.
"...haha, wow, do you drink often? And so fast?" She flashed her teeth in a smile again and then, as she pulled out her cell, had a better idea. "Oh. Oh oh! I have an idea. If you'd like, I can tell him to come out and hang out with us."
That was a win-win, for her. It meant she could make a new friend, probably, and she wouldn't cause Allen to worry...and she wouldn't feel like she needed to get back home so soon. And it was the weekend~!

It was true New York was New York, and indeed you could never know. She had obviously noticed his increased pace of drinking, while to him it had been mostly subconscious, and asked about the fact. He pondered for a second how to reply. Honesty or Bravado, well he had no need to impress, and well she didn't drink so saying he did could just be counter intuitive. "Not really, and usually alone to be honest." Steven would reply honestly. Once again, Steven's eyes would be drawn to the beaming smile as She offered to call Allen out.
Steven quickly looked away hoping not to be noticed his free hand reaching up and scratching the back of his head. "Sure why not." Steven replied, it would also mean that she would have someone to walk home with once they did part ways. New York was New York after all, you could never be too careful.

"Oh..? Man, I'm just completely messing with your drinking mojo, then, aren't I? Sorry~"
Despite the genuine apology, there was seemingly none of the distress from earlier. Now that she knew who he was, there was no underlying desire - subconscious or not - to preserve her safety. She blinked a few times. Unfortunately for him, her openly regarding him made it difficult to not notice him quickly look away and rub his head...
...but she didn't chalk it up to reluctance to have her brother join them. He was probably embarrassed she asked about it, further jolting him from his comfort zone.
"Okay~"
She happily agreed, fingers flicking and then flying over the numeric pad to toss the followup to Allen: Allen! Guess what! Wait. Nevermind. You might not guess. I met that Steven Rosett guy in the park. We're still there. Come join us and check the stars out!

"Oh..? Man, I'm just completely messing with your drinking mojo, then, aren't I? Sorry~" Phoebe apologised, even though Steven didn't see the need, maybe having company while drinking him off his normal form but that didn't mean that he minded the company. "Drinking mojo.." Steven suddenly laughed out. "And drink and a book is all well and good, but I'm not the sort to hate company, well on occasion. Heck ask your brother, you know the first guy apart from my cousin to come round my place." Steven would explain, as she would go on to text Allen. He had no idea how long it would take the kid to show up or even if he would, but time flies when your having fun.
"So do you jog often down my way?" Steven would ask, not having thought of it until now. If that way the case, it could mean that they bumped into each every now and then. Would be nice to know someone in the area. Most of the people around here weren't his age, and those where like the thugs he beat in basketball and then physically after they attacked him.

Ahhh, he finally laughed..~! Phoebe looked up with a grin. It was good to hear. She nodded as he explained, able to understand despite loving the company of others, herself.
"Much more often, now that I've transferred schools. Allen takes this way, most often. So we'll probably mostly take this way. Before, yeah, I'd run through here enough to be familiar with it. Just enough that it doesn't bother me, now. Not even at night." Sliding her phone away again, she shifted, angling her knees towards him, her body then following to keep aligned. "But you must be out here fairly often, judging by what you said before."

Steven would listen and hear the question, as she turned to face him slightly more. Well this would be one easy question to answer. Steven moved his free arm over the back of the bench, making sure to keep it from getting close enough to invade her personal space, they weren't familiar enough for that in anyway shape or form. With his beer carrying hand, he would gesture to one of the apartment buildings on the far end of the par, a single unfurling finger turning it into an obvious point.
"I live over there. So yeah I'm always down here, either passing through or relaxing out doors." Steven would explain, bringing the hand back down and drinking some. "It's only a shame about winter rearing its head. I don't mind the cold but staying out in it for hours, well not as easy to do as in the summer time." Steven said, and it was try. During the summer he bet he could spend the whole day out here if he wanted to, however that would have to wait until next summer to see if was true or not.

Curious green eyes peered through the dark to the lit streets and apartment complexes before her eyes roamed back.
"Yeah, well... It's not so bad if you're running around and layering up~"
It certainly gave her some rosy cheeks more often than not!

Steven would turn to look at Phoebe and eyes would scan over her form and what she was wearing. While the clothes seemed like they would do the trick for a jog though the night air, being better then the equivalent shorts people would wear in the summer.
"Won't you get cold now you've stopped though?" Steven would ask, then again maybe he felt it was colder then it was because the can of beer leaching heat way from on his hands.

"Well, probably!" She laughed, unconcerned. "But...I've been here practically my whole life, so I'm fairly used to it. And still, it's not too bad right now. If I get cold I can always get up and dance around or something."
Yep. No fear.

Steven honestly didn't know if the weather would turn worse as winter grew deeper, or even how hot it was in the summer in New York. He wasn't from the city, but had somehow gravitated there after being kicked out of home before his cousin found him.
"Well no need for me to turn round and offer my jacket then if you're so certain." Steven would replied with a amused smirk. Downing the last of what remained of the can of beer, and surprisingly not just tossing it away but putting back in the carrier bag he had the fresh cans in. However he didn't feel the need to take another out now.

Phoebe's eyebrows darted upwards in pleased surprise.
"Well! It wouldn't go unappreciated if you did." She smiled, pleased with both his words and his actions. She wouldn't have to give him a swift kick for littering. She shifted a little, letting her head tip back a little so she could peer up at the stars again, her eyes adjusting over the course of fifteen seconds or so.
"It seems like not many people would bother, nowadays."
