The song was stuck in his head, nothing was getting him way from his song for a while. Today he felt extra perky ever since he got a call from Sera about this new techno song she found. It was most certainly an easy tune for him to remember, and it did not get annoying after an hour of listening to it. "Well, I guess I owe her one. Whenever she wants a rematch, I'll have to accept instantly I guess." Naoki promised himself as he took off the headphones to realize that there was a box in the middle of the Courtyard. This puzzled him, and he walked towards it with caution. Once the boy got to the strange looking box, he tilted his head to the side and removed the tape off of the box. Inside was a whole supply of firecrackers and matches, all of them jumbled into a huge mess.
"Whoa... These things I have always wanted to lay with." Naoki said to himself as he put one firecracker in his hand. Little did he know that he was going to possibly hurt someone with it since he did not know how to use one of them. He lit a match and slit the small rope before standing back and laying it to the side. The problem was, he laid it to the side. By the time he realized what happened, it was too late, he shot that Firecracker, and now he must suffer the consequences of what would happen when it hit whenever it did.

Kyou was outside sitting on the floor reading a book during his free period. He turned the page, continuing to read the story with interest when he heard something unusual. Looking up, he saw a firecracker shooting right towards him! "Whoa-!" He yelled from shock when the thing crashed near him and exploded.

Naoki shuttered as he saw the Firecracker fly by a student who was reading a book and it blew up right next to him. The poor fella, it seems he was just trying to have a peaceful story to read and he had to ruin it with his ignorance. The least he could do is apologize. Naoki pushed the box of crates to the student and tilted his head. “Sorry about that man, I’m new to this whole Firecracker thing.” The magician explained as he then continued. “Do you by any chance know how to fire one of these properly? They look really fun and I want to know.”

Kyou glared up at the boy, closing his book and slamming it onto the floor. "Are you kidding me?!" He exclaimed, holding up a fist on the side of his body that had been slightly scorched from the explosion. "Do you know how dangerous these things are! You could have killed me!" He sighed, standing up and brushing himself off. "Where did you even get those from? I'm pretty sure you need a liscense to fire firecrackers, especially in a public area. You'd need the proper training and it'd have to be in a safe place where no one can get hurt," he said, hissing the last part slightly with annoyance. He adjusted his glasses. Sighing, he said, "But I guess you'd probably run off and try to get someone else to teach you if I said no... and though it's irresponsible, I suppose I could give you better instructions than most of the students here..."

Naoki smiled mischievously as the student guessed exactly what he would do of the request was denied. He did not even want to hide it, so his smile made sure he understand what would happen. As for where he got the firecrackers, that was an easy question to answer. "I literally found them in the middle of the courtyard we are both standing in right now." Naoki explained as he tilted his head to the side and smiled happily. "All right, where do you suggest we go if we want to fire these things? I doubt this would be the safest place after we both saw what just happened."

Kyou cocked his head to the side. "He just... found them? I have a bad feeling about this... either someone left them on accident, or on purpose. If on accident, they'll get upset at us for using the firecrackers... if it was on purpose, they were probably expecting this irresponsible student to blow things up and quite possibly hurt a lot of people." He gave a dejected sigh. "Well, if the former, I'll take blame for the actions. If the latter, it'd be best to use up all the firecrackers while training so no one gets hurt, and if there's any left, he won't probably hurt anyone." He stood up straight, fixing his bow-tie and looking at Naoki seriously. "You have to promise to be careful and responsible when handling a firecracker, understood? If you don't agree to it, I'll refuse to teach you and then I'll go confront the teachers about your explosive belongings, all right? As for where to practice, we can go to the old abandoned school. It's almost always vacant, and it's far enough away from other populated buildings where it should be safe enough. Follow me," He said, picking up his book and walking off to go to where the old school had been located.

There were many flaws with what was just lectured to the magician, but he decided to leave them be. If anything were to happen, he will just let those flaws kick in and backfire. For one thing, if he taught Naoki anything, this would be redirected back towards him. Besides, this school allowed students to create their own smash balls and powersuits anyways, what would this do to harm anyone else anyways. The both of them had to go to the old abandoned school huh? Well, it was one of the right places to go to that he could imagine. He put his poker card set in his pocket, not feeling the need to use any magic tricks at the current moment. "Well after what we have seen, being responsible is the only thing that would actually make sense instead of shooting them randomly." Naoki explained as he tiled his head to the side.

Kyou nodded at his statement as they arrived. "Good, I'm glad you agree," he said. If he were to be honest with himself, Kyou had been bluffing about the first part. He hoped to intimidate the older student into agreeing to be responsible with his actions--knowing that if he were actually to go get a teacher, Naoki would likely have already set several fireworks off by the time he got to them. He truly just wanted to avoid anyone getting hurt at all costs, and to do so, he needed to make sure the student was taught properly how to do such an activity and not run off looking for help from uneducated students who probably wouldn't have had any idea what they were doing. So basically, he really wanted Naoki to look to him for help, not another student, and he was willing to give a ridiculous bluff in hopes to ensure that happening.
Kyou knelt down on the ground when they arrived, pulling out one of the firecrackers and setting it on the ground. "Okay. The first step is quite simple. You have to take the firecracker and angle it roughly about 45o degrees, got it? A little more should be okay, but remember, if it's at a 90o angle, it'll be harder to light the fuse and when it actually explodes in the air, the sparks will come raining down directly over you. This is bad because it can not only hurt you, but it can also catch things on fire--other fireworks, or otherwise. Does that make sense?" Kyou asked, looking over his shoulder to glance up at the taller student.

"All right, so aim it halfway of 90 degrees. Let's see..." Naoki said as he put the rocket at a slightly wrong angle. He aimed it at 35 degrees, even though he was so sure that he had it at 45. After that, he grabbed the match and quickly slitted the item onto the ground so it could Iight itself up. Once that happened, he placed the match against the fuse and watched the fire go. Once that happened, he stepped back for the firecracker and watched it fire toward a dead tree. Upon impact, the explosive hit the tree and knocked out half of the tree. "All right, so that seemed to be a bit too low..." Naoki explained to himself as he tilted his head, but then be smiled. "I want to do that again!"

Kyou sweatdropped. "At least it only hit a tree... if we weren't so secluded, that could've been someone's head," He thought. He sighed, reexplaining. "Basically... 90os would be directly upward. Just tilt it slightly, okay? You tilted it too much. Like this," Kyou took another firecracker and demonstrated. But he didn't set it off just yet. "Now, before you set off another firecracker, you have to keep into consideration it's fuse. Okay? The longer the fuse, the higher it'll get into the air before setting off. The shorter the fuse, obviously the quicker. This is important because you need to time it right with the firecracker you have so as to not destroy anything. Okay? Watch this." He took his firecracker, aiming it and then taking the lighter from Naoki, lighting it. When the firecracker shot into the sky and exploded, it flew high over the school building and exploded in a safe distance so nothing would get destroyed, but yet people could see it at a safe distance and enjoy. "Fireworks don't need to be timed as much, since they're designed to shoot a lot higher and at a safer distance, so keep that in mind. Firecrackers on the other hand, are usually a little more dangerous because they're not designed as safely as fireworks. But they're also not as expensive, either. Okay, now, you try."

All right, just tilt it slightly from 90 degrees. That should not be any easier than the previous plan, but it still was a lot of help considering the fact that advice beat the previous plan of just trying just aim and fire with mental math. He put the firecracker up and had it point to the sky. From there, he tilted the firecracker a little to the side, but his caution from the previous explosion caused him to be a little worried on where it will end up if he pushed it too far. This caused the rocket to only be a little but still inaccurate. When he lit up the fuse, it aimed up to the sky and rained more colorful sorts of sparks.... That were about to rain on them. "Damn it! Take cover!" Naoki exclaimed as he grabbed the student by the shirt and threw him behind the old table that was laid out to the side. He quickly jumped over the table, and as his body made it to the other side, gripped the tables edge and caused it to go up. Once he squeezed in under the table, popping sounds can be heard from above, and just a few feet away, colorful sparks can be seen hitting the ground.

Kyou sighed. "You're really not that bright, are you...?" he asked with a sigh. He turned his head to look at Naoki. "I mean... no offense... But are you really incapable of defining the difference between forty-five and ninety degrees?" He sighed, waiting for the little sparks to fade out. The area was concrete, so luckily nothing else would catch fire.

"Mentally, no Einstein." Naoki relied as he put the two of them back up. "But I'm smart enough to get us to safety in time whenever something like that happens." From there, he looked back to the firecrackers, then began to wonder what their purpose was. Why the hell would there be a box or explosives laying down in the middle of the courtyard? "Is there anything about these things that are special? I mean, I found them in the middle of a school." Naoki explained as he tilted his head to the side.

Kyou smiled lightly. He wasn't the type to honestly judge someone in such a way--he knew people were equal to one another, despite anything they may have been exposed to and acted like. He didn't really think that Naoki had been an idiot, but he couldn't help wondering. It was possible he just wasn't good at math, and then when Naoki replied, pointing out that he'd gotten them both to safety, he smirked and gave a slight nod. He had to give him that much, at least.
When Naoki asked the last question, Kyou raised an eyebrow. "I wondered that too before I even agreed to help you," he said, even after the sparks had gone out. He simply laid there and said, "I'm not honestly sure. It's possible that there's some students or--more likely--teachers who had a box of firecrackers for some celebration... perhaps they were getting ready for an end of the school year celebration... But the chances of them leaving it out in the open..." His facial expression was dead serious as he glared at the under side of the table they'd been laying beneath. His face quizzical as he seemed to be contemplating elaborate possibilities. "I honestly think it was an elementary plan to commit murder." He was quiet, not knowing whether or not he wanted to elaborate to the older student. If he explained, he felt he might give himself away, and he didn't want to scare Naoki--since he knew little to nothing about Naoki and thus didn't know if a subject like murder would frighten him or not. But the way he said it, he seemed so... casual.

"Nothing new huh." Naoki said as he tilted his head to the side. Then again, the layout of the matches. They were all unorganized, if someone were to move the firecrackers enough... Would that cause friction? Being a boy who loved fire, he knew that matches lit up with Friction. "Wait a second... Hold on... Look at the way this is put out." Naoki ordered as he pointed to the box. "Not how there was no sort of specific order that this items were placed in. Say if someone were to move the items quickly, say someone knocked it over and over in a fight and caused enough friction. Would it be possible for one of the matches to light up and set the whole box to explode?"
