Ruby gave a small nod as well. "Mhm... I'm not too accustomed to most modern music, with some acceptations, of course, but it's a pretty calm song. Not a lot of lyrics--which is kind of nice. A lot of time music just puts a lot of bad thoughts into your head..." She shrugged and gave him the earbud back to him, since it was his, after all...

"Depends on what music you're listening to, I don't think mine does." he grabbed the earbud and looked at it, "You sure you don't wanna listen to more music?". I mean she said she wasn't accustomed but, it was something to listen to.

Cyrus didn't notice her scoot closer, and he changed the song to a new one, he stared out to the horizon and smiled, this was the best day he'd had at this school so far, he never thought he would even have a good day here. |

Ruby would close her eyes and listen to the music, taking it all in. She wasn't quite used to this kind of music, but it wasn't bad.

Cyrus looked to the side, Ruby had scooted closer. Cyrus scooted so they were very close. He kept on staring out to the horizion and ignored the fact that he had scooted closer.

Ruby didn't notice that he'd scooted closer. And if she did, she didn't mind it. After all, it made the little string from the earbuds closer so it was more relaxed and easy to hear. After a while she started to catch on to the melody and would quietly hum it before the song changed, and she'd listen to that one as well.

Cyrus threw his arm around Ruby's shoulders and hugged her close, "You saved my life today and I won't forget it." Cyrus smiled and stared off towards the horizion expecting Ruby to pull away.

Instead, Ruby would be more shocked than anything. But, after all, she had saved his life... so she wasn't surprised that he showed this form of gratitude. She'd give a small nod and hug hum back, saying, "Mhm. You're welcome. I really wouldn't want you to die, you know? Just doing my job."

Ruby nodded and let go of Cyrus, pulling gently out of the hug. "Well anyway... so... um, I guess I'll see you around? We should probably get off of the roof now, huh?" She asked, standing up and offering him a hand.
