Ruby would turn her head a bit to look at Finn, raising an eyebrow at what he said. Comfortable? So it was about being comfortable...? Well, she supposed that made a little bit of sense... Her eye darted away when he mentioned her eye patch, and she shrugged. "I do it primarily to make other people feel comfortable, really..." she mumbled. Did she feel comfortable with or without it? She wasn't sure... without it, people usually treated her differently--and pretty horribly at that--but with it... did she feel comfortable? She certainly fit in better, people didn't look at her that oddly, though a part of her felt having an eye patch was just as weird as not wearing one... so in a way it was a comfort thing, but was it really? If no one would look at her weird, would she still feel comfortable with the eye patch? Or would she feel comfortable without it?
The girl was somewhat lost in a trance, so deep in thought about the mere subject. "Ahuh..." she'd mumble again before trying to pull herself out of her thoughts.
After getting little to no response from Yukine, Ruby decided to go back to Finn only for him to try striking up a conversation. She crossed her arms a bit and shrugged. "Yeah I guess... though you could also get that feeling from running under the moonlight?" She shrugged again. "But that's my personal preference. And I joined Titans because... well, I suppose it's because I like Musashi and he's a really good friend of mine, and I want to be by his side. He's got a good plan, you know? I want to watch him succeed and help out in any way I can." She'd giggle a bit and say, "I didn't know there'd be so many people here that I liked! I mean... I love Dan! He's got to be one of my favorite people! I'm really happy to know he's also fighting for the cause, yeah? But then, considering his dream and goal, I suppose it makes perfect sense!" She grinned even wider, thinking back to the time Dan had explained his dream to her. It was extremely sweet, and it was one of those things that truly made Ruby happy. Just the mere thought of his dream brought a smile to her face.
"He's really a sweetie, I can't deny that I love him for that, you know?" She'd giggle a bit. "A lot of people should be more like Dan, if you ask me... but I don't know, maybe that's just my opinion. Still, I feel like this world would be a lot more pleasant a place if there were more sweet and noble people like him..." she'd sigh a bit and shrug, thinking back to her old times...
She stopped a bit when the bell rang, and she stared at the ceiling where the noise had come from as though it was the most crazy thing in the world. "What the..." she muttered. "Where does that noise keep coming from?! I swear! I've been hearing that chime all day!" The white-haired girl would turn her attention to Musashi who gave them instructions on, "It's time to go, check your lockers like a cell phone." She'd nod and salute Musashi, saying, "Aye, aye, captain!" She was glad they'd be using lockers. After all, she had no form of contact in the sense that she lacked a cell phone... or any other form of contacting others or help, to be honest... She'd turn her gaze to the window, debating if she should stay behind to talk to Musashi after the others had left, or get moving...
Of course, she loved to talk to Musashi and chat with him, but she would probably have a lot of opportunities to do that in the future... after all, it wasn't like anything was going to happen to her, right? So she'd still get to spend her free time with him, and she did need to get to know the others as well... but... right now only one thing was on her mind.
"Yup!" She'd randomly blurt out, going to the nearest window and opening it. She'd take out her grappling hook and hook it onto the ledge of the window before glancing over her shoulder and grinning at the others. "Au revoir!" She'd say before jumping out of the window and using her equipment to make a safe landing. Once on the ground she'd take the hook and make a run for it. She wanted to use whatever money she had to get a flare. She didn't know why. She just wanted one now.
