OOC: Happens three days after fear.
Echoed screams could be heard coming down the abandoned third floor hallway, emanating from the old gymnasium at the end of the hall. Levi stood wheezing against the wall of the gym, black mist slowly seeping out of him as his "passenger" fought for control once again. The struggle, on top of being incredibly mentally taxing, was immensely painful.
"RAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOO!!!! AAHHHHHH!!!!"
The Asian slammed his fist and head into the wall as he fought through the pain to avoid losing the feeble mental hold he had against the flood that was the Ghoul's will.
I can feel you slipping...I NEED BLOOOOOOD!!!! LET ME OUT!!!!
I WILL NOT!!! I WILL SEE YOU DIE WITH ME BEFORE THAT HAPPENS!!!
SUBMIT!!!!
Levi's head throbbed again as the Ghoul shook him to the floor. He clutched his head in agony as the mist continued to seep from his pores painfully.

'Know your enemy and know yourself and you can fight a hundred battles without disaster.' -- Sun Tzu --- After the events that had transpired no more than a few days prior Cereza had not been herself completely. She barely recalled the event. It had happened so quickly and the fact that she had allowed herself to be taken in by the hallucinations only made the memory a little more topsy turvy. The biggest thing about Cereza was the fact she hated to dwell, furthermore she hated thoughts being pushed upon her. That is what had happened that day and she really didn't like it. It subjected her to be completely open and vulnerable which lead to her getting stabbed by a particular individual whom at first she believed was an illusion of someone else. The knife had been plunged deep enough to cause enough blood to flow that without quickened attention she would've died and she almost did had it not been for Mars coming and taking her to the hospital. Good thing she had tracking devices on those Wonderland phones. But he told her uncle which pissed her off. She didn't want people knowing and Mars was enough but no more knew than they should.
--- She felt decent enough to pull herself out of the hospital with a heavy determination. The guy wanted to play knife games will so could Cereza. Two days she had been out of the hospital and limited her contact with people for a bit, remaining at one of her many places. Today she decided to go up to the school and see if she found him there first or at least Chase. Not only that but she had left some things she wanted to retrieve. Her side still hurt. Still freshly patched up. Trademark hat had been left behind as she kept her hair back in a high pony tail for today. She was just about ready to leave when she heard the loud screaming. They were practically blood curling. Cereza wasn't always the one to investigate depended but something about it drew her attention. Who could be screaming like that? Was someone dying or something? It made her mind echo with the screams of that day. Many a students in fear hell even killing each other for whatever reasoning. Her own scream of her niece's name made her shake her head and turn to walk away from it yet again she paused and looked back. Curiosity wrapped her in it's claws and ushered her in the way of the old gym. Maybe she was a little hopeful to find that cowardice bastard that stabbed her there. It grew louder and louder and even a deep part in Cereza was wondering why did she keep walking towards it, but she did and found herself entering that gym without care suddenly. Did she have a death wish?
--- Her steps seized the moment she caught sight of the black mist from that day. That black mist that caused so much chaos for it wasn't the 'beast' that came with the mist exactly who had. He had been held and handled but the mist had been doing it's damage around in the beasts place. What was this? Somehow she forced herself to take an extra step watching the individual in pain. It only took her a moment or two to notice whom it was. "Levi?"
--- She said almost in a hush with her head cocking to the right. What was going on? Why was the mist spilling from him like that? Was he tied to what happened a few days ago? Wait....was that him? Hell her head started hurting a little trying to push in the thought and piece it all together. But it made her remember what she hallucinated and he was part of that. He somehow entered and took the place of one of her biggest regrets at some point watching his death, unable to stop it. What did that even mean? She didn't care about him like that right? Impossible. Cereza didn't let that happen not since years ago. Yet here she was a piece wanting to approach and the other saying 'just walk away it isn't your problem'. Her body twitched as to step forward but she stubbornly held herself back. She was fighting with herself as much as it seemed like he was fighting with himself. Go not go. Help not help.
[Ooc: *Crosses fingers* Development ftw much? XD]

Liv watched the boy from the shadows of the gym bleachers, staring down at the boy impassively. Sleep. Liv came here for naps during her math class, and somehow this boy was making a ruckus while seeping out black mist. Pretty cool. Liv wasn't impressed just yet, but once he began slamming his head against the wall she was sparked with the urge to start laughing. Schizophrenic maybe? Nah, that didn't explain the physical errors like expelling colored air. Damn, this school was pretty fucked up. Once his screaming began to sound like he was in genuine pain did Liv grow bored. It would be more interesting if he would just submit. Why did he bother fighting whatever was trying to force him into a relapse? Well, not everyone saw things Liv's way.
"Levi?"
Oh, that was a name Liv didn't recognize. Peeking her head further over the bleacher seat, she saw that it was a girl emerging. Hesitance was written all over her body language. Another reason to start laughing. Liv wondered if she should involve herself. There was always a good chance the girl would get in the way, women were irritating like that, and Liv felt herself hesitate. No hesitation. Do whatever makes you curious. Swinging her legs over the bleachers, she began trotting down them, skipping from one row to the next. If Levi continued to scream, she wouldn't bother saying anything until he quieted down. Liv would begin to talk if he grew quiet for a moment.
"Sounds like you should take some medication for that."

Levi heard footsteps, two pairs, coming from multiple directions. He forced himself to look up at the one that spoke to him, not hearing Cereza's hushed mention of his name. The first thing the girl would notice was that one of his eyes had turned a glowing, blood red and half of the skin on his face had grayed somewhat. Levi shouted, fighting back the pain of the Ghoul's rebellion.
"What?! Are you crazy!? You shouldn't be here!! It's not safe!! RUNNN!!! Y-!!!"
And the was when Levi caught sight of Cereza and the Ghoul inside him paused with him as Levi shed a few tears. Part shame, part fear of what the Ghoul wanted to do to her.
oooooohohohohohohoooo...boy...your screams will feed me for years after this.
No...please no...please...please...please...
kekekekekeke...love is such a stupid emotion...
Levi ground his teeth together as he forced himself to speak as the Ghoul redoubled its efforts.
"No....please run...it'll kill you..." Levi looked to the other girl next to him, "and you! It's no-AAAAAAAAHHH!!!!"
The pain intensified as the Ghoul made another push for control and for a moment Levi swore he blacked out, but he awoke a moment later clutching his head and his body on fire, the black mist intensifying ever so slightly, Levi still managing to hang on, now with a greater purpose.

--- Cereza found herself merely looking without any real emotion upon her face. She had always been the type of girl that never intentionally gave anything away. The type of girl no one could ever get a good or truly accurate read on. Trying was just tiring, however the small subtle hesitation was noticeable but what was it for exactly? Gray hues shifted towards the newcomer, some girl she had never seen before that had emerged from the bleachers it seemed. Clearly she was watching; observing. The causal nature of the girl followed by her words placed a caution in Cereza but then again she was always cautious with everyone, even without so much of a reasoning. Words would not leave her lips as Levi continued to struggle, shouting at the girl before it seemed he had took note of her own presence. Those tears, she had yet to see him cry. There was never a reason to. Were they simply tears of pain? Or was there more hidden behind that either she was merely trying not to comprehend or really could not see?
--- Her eyes met dead on with his as the recollection of that face started to come into place. It was him. He was that entity from that day? Is that why he never answered her text? This black mist, was he really behind all that? Was he the assisted reasoning behind her losing control over her thoughts and leaving herself open to almost dying? No it was apparent he wasn't in control of whatever this was. Yet Cereza so typical could find a way to lay blame in some form or another. Her brows frown just a little but nothing to show anger, maybe more a hint of confusion of how this had happened. When did it happen? What other secrets was he keeping? Wait a minute, she didn't care about him deeply like that right? So why should it completely matter his secrets he held? It wasn't like she was the most honest between them. In truth he was probably more honest than she was. He yelled at her to go. Pleaded was more like it. Cereza just looked at him at the pain seemed to intensify. What was there for her to do anyways? Come and cradle him and tell him everything was going to be ok? However he got himself into it he could get himself out of it without her right? He didn't need her, right? She really didn't mean anything to him per say right? It wasn't anything deeper than the physical, was it? Maybe that's what she wanted to believe. Maybe that's what she told herself, who knows. If it wasn't for his pain the silence she gave would've been deafening.
--- If Levi looked up at any point he'd find her simply turning around, beginning to walk away from him. It was like she was turning her back on him. But suddenly a voice cried out to her but started out low saying her name. A second past and the familiar voice echoed again making her stop in her steps, which she only had gotten about five steps away. Slowly her body turned back around to face Levi although that was not the face she saw. In Levi's place was instead someone from her past. That deep seeded regret. Caleb. He had called her name and grabbed her attention causing her chin to rise a little. Not this again. She didn't want to see him again.
'Cereza. Don't turn your back.'
~Why are you here? You're dead.~
'Don't turn your back on me.....on him.'
~Don't you dare. This isn't remotely the same. Don't you try to guilt trip me. It won't work.~
'Cause you don't care, right my little song bird?'
~Maverick...Why are yo--- Get away from him.~
'I thought you didn't give a damn. You don't have feelings for him because you're incapable of having them. You know the only thing your capable of doing and feeling... I'll take him out of the equation just like I took-- hehehe oh no wait TECHNICALLY that was you that killed Caleb right with your choice and all? What's one less liar to you huh? One less coward. Look he can't even hold it together. Come on he doesn't care about you. He would've left you too. He would've watched you burn.'
'Cereza don't listen. Don't let him in your head. Cer don't walk away. I think he does really care about you like I did.'
--- She found herself having a battle in her own head between Caleb and Maverick and herself. Caleb told her not to walk away so far she managed to stay her ground. Her brows frowned more. Who was right Caleb or Maverick? She couldn't pull herself away for unknown reasons. Outside she barely showed a thing however inside her body felt like it was heating up for some reason. Her chest felt like something ever rarely used was pounding a little too thick for her own taste. Something was crawling up and she was trying to force it back down. Would she regret still staying there? Had the black mist touched her like before? No she wasn't so close to it or had that been the illusion that she was closer than she believed?

Liv didn't like taking commands even if they were pertaining to her life. Ignoring Levi's words, she strode over to his writhing form, ignoring the black mist. Wow, this school had some cool theatrical effects. Maybe he was a Drama Club kid? Oh, what if she was intruding on their practice session? Liv cocked an eyebrow at the hesitant and obviously indecisive woman in the corner. Well, hopefully Levi liked assertive girls, because Liv had barely gotten a thorough reading on him before being forced to interject. Not bothering to care about the danger she was potentially putting herself in, Liv crouched down in front of the boy, surprised at his morphing face.
"That's some impressive makeup you're sporting. I'm jealous..."
Liv was a weaker girl, and that was how she wanted it. Men liked to dominate here and there right? It only made it that much more of a thrill. The black mist was a bit thicker down beside him, and Liv thought she heard the door creaking to her old bedroom. No, that wasn't right. She had moved. The house could never trap her again. Even so, there was the smell of methamphetamine burning the insides of her sinuses. Panic flared, but Liv wasn't going to be foiled so easily. Nice try...
"Look at me."
Reaching upwards, Liv would cradle Levi's face in her hands, ignoring any of his potential retaliation. Her forehead would bump against his own, eyes staring into his changing ones without fear. Liv was slightly shaken, sure, but she didn't understand what "fear" was. Terror? What did that do? Liv got unsettled, sure, but anything along the lines of paranoia was non-existent. First things first, Levi needed to calm down if Liv wanted to get anywhere with him. Keeping her composure, she spoke in soothing tones. If Levi threw her off, she would just return undeterred.
"Ah~Ah, make sure you focus on me."

--- And so the mental spider had started to spin its treacherous web. Inside her head it spun it's silky string, weaving about capturing her thoughts and memories. A spider's web had an incredible integrity and it held onto those things with a vengeance. It forced them right in her face. Even if she turned away there was nowhere she could ever look that it wouldn't stick. Cereza hated to dwell on anything especially her past. She had ways of dealing with it none of them which were present currently. She should've removed herself from the equation from the start. But no, she just had to listen to the damn voice calling to her. That familiar voice of her past regret. Why couldn't she escape that? Anytime his voice played in her head it was so hard not to turn and listen, even if she didn't fully listen. The girl moved towards Levi and crouched before him however her form was not what Cereza saw. Who she saw was Maverick approaching Levi and that forced a tension within her body. In reality whatever the girl said was too unheard and replaced with Maverick's voice and words.
"Look how pathetic he is. Wouldn't it be so easy to just end this right?"
--- Why did she feel something in her chest pull? That wasn't like her at all. That space in there was hardly ever touched yet today it seemed like it wanted to knock. 'Maverick' cupped Levi under his chin and Cereza again felt that knock yet she remained silent still. She could still hear Maverick taunting. Pushing. Prodding. How many times had she seen this scene play out? How many times had she witnessed Caleb's death in her mind? But now Caleb's place was imaged over with Levi's form. Why? Why was she seeing this again? It had became slightly more frequent since she kinda sorta hooked up with Levi. However anyone wanted to take that. She hated it. She really really hated it. Every time she saw it it ended the same, Caleb dead on the ground. His death her fault. Over and over she watched and each time she herself unable to move until it was too late. Maverick and West won no matter what. She could never find it in herself to react in time. To stop Maverick before he ended Caleb's life. To say it didn't wound her each time would be a lie. It was an inner turmoil she had to deal with but why the fuck did Levi have to bring that up with her. Why did he have to remind her a bit of Caleb? Why/when did it all start to get complicated?
"He means nothing to you. You mean nothing to him. All he'll do is betray you in the end and you know it. I'm doing you a favor."
--- Again Maverick taunted. Cereza couldn't do this anymore. She couldn't watch this scene play out again. She couldn't be late anymore. She wouldn't be late. Maverick couldn't continue to do this to her. Caleb couldn't continue to do this to her. Honestly she wasn't fully sure when she had moved but she had found herself swiftly going forward in what seemed like a short burst. The distance was short enough that she would definitely come completely unexpected and from what she believed was a crouching Maverick's (Liv's) side. A blind spot. At the point of reaching Liv from the blind spot she would lash out with a vicious right front kick at the side of the girl's head. Striking that area, applying that type of pressure to the temple would more than likely not just floor the poor girl but probably knock her out. Well if so, Cereza indirectly would be saving the girl right? If Levi was battling like this that creature within would've surely done more damage than the more than likely concussion Cereza gave the girl if she connected. Which unless the girl had the reflexes to react to Cereza's unexpected attack more than likely she did knock her away. Some kind of rage had built up inside the young brunette whom now would be standing right near Levi looking at whom she still thought it was Maverick.
"Stay the fuck away from him. Not this time. Not this fucking time."
--- Her back was not towards Levi. Her brows frowned in a mix of anger and almost disgust. Disgust at what though? Herself? Why at herself though? Her following words were aimed towards Levi yet all the same towards the imaginary Caleb twisting and fading away. Maybe a little towards herself as well. Her tone was low but tinted with some kind of anger and pain though only he probably would be able to hear had the other party been knocked out or at best knocked away.
"I hate you. I swear I do."
--- However was there a double meaning to those words. Her fist balled tightly at her sides if it wasn't for her knuckle gloves she might've been able to draw blood. She couldn't remember the last time she left anger in like that. The last time she let her emotions ever run her. Her arms vibrated little with the tightening of her fist but she just couldn't look at Levi. Gray hues managed to focus on whom she struck and reality set back in but it mattered not to Cereza. Now she saw the girl and if she was still conscious, if she got hit Cereza would speak firmly one word. Even if the girl wasn't she'd still say it because she was that agitated to not care.
"Leave."
--- That regret from the past really did a number on her. But it was her life, her choice, her mistake, her lesson and no one else's business. Now what? It wasn't over yet now was it.

OOC: According to Cereza, Liv has acknowledged at least being hit, so I will post with that assumption. Please let me know if that is not the case. IC: Levi stared wide eyes at Liv as she cradled his face. It would have been comforting if he didn't fear for her life. Still, her words did ground him somewhat and, for a moment, his eyes looked into hers, the Ghoul's hold weakening slightly. Stammering somewhat, Levi shakily reached a hand up and touched her face as well. "Y-you need...T-To leave...please...!!!"Before Levi could say any more, Cereza's foot forced Liv's face away from his in a blur of movement. Levi listened and watch Cereza seem to hallucinate and become somewhat confused. As he opened his mouth to speak, the Ghoul redoubled it efforts, forcing Levi's face to cringe again as the discoloration spread further, changing his remaining eye into the Ghoul's. Tears streamed from his eyes as he looked up into her eyes. He felt himself losing control and his voice became more and more distorted as the Ghoul's control became complete while he spoke. "I'm so sorry...I l-love you...Nghaaaaaaaah!!!!" In a burst of black mist the Ghoul's take became complete. Levi had now taken the complete form that Cereza would easily recognize. The Ghoul slowly stood up, it's raspy breath rattling as it lightly chuckled, it's blood red eyes peering into the white rabbit's. It spoke, with a growl, it's toothy smile persistent as it spoke. "aaaah finally. Your blood will be mine...and HE WILL HAVE TO WATCH!!" Suddenly, the Ghoul's right arm shot out, delivering a palm to the middle of her chest. If it connected, it would send her flying backwards to about middle court. The Ghoul's cackle would echo loudly as it stayed by the wall, waiting for her to get up. It planned to drag this out and enjoy this as long as possible.

Liv was surprised to say the least when the poor guy seemed to have enough strength during his seizure to reach up and touch her face. She blinked at him mildly, not used to the gesture. Levi tried to dissuade her, but Liv was stubborn. So what if he went a bit crazy? Everyone in this school was put here for that reason. It was all one big loony bin for kids who matured waaay too fast. Before she could get a reply in, her eye caught a glimpse of something moving, before a crack hit her head. Liv didn't have a chance to blink before her eyes rolled up, body slumping to the side. She was unconscious so quickly, the pain didn't even register in her body.
"What's that?"
Liv was back in her middle school uniform, waiting in the middle of their small parlor. Her mother's eyes were red and flitting about the room. She couldn't focus on her own daughter, even in the midst of an attack. Liv didn't speak a word, just adjusted the bag strap on her shoulder. Voices carried in from the living room. So, there was going to be more drugs tonight too. Trying to not make her exhausted sigh obvious, Liv gently spoke to her mother. The woman was panicking, paranoid and irritable all at one time. Liv always received the brunt of her violent reactions.
"Have you eaten?"
Immediately, those bloodshot eyes snapped back to look at Liv. Anger creased her mother's brow, but confusion was there too. The poor woman was so disoriented, she wasn't sure why all of these emotions were coming back to haunt her. Suddenly, Liv let out a bit of a startled noise when her mother lunged forwards, hands reaching out like claws for Liv. Ducking immediately, red lines formed on her soft skin, streaking downwards while her mother tore at the bag on her shoulder. Somehow, it was always like this. And Liv wasn't really afraid, she was just tired. Over and over again, another day, another attack, it was all so repetitious and mundane.
"Whatisitwhatisitwhatisitwhatisit.."
Liv finally dropped to the floor, her mother clawing at her hair before turning violent. Her bag was gone, clothes being torn and shredded off her body. The wall came to greet her, and briefly, Liv wondered when her father would return. That was laughable. Her father wouldn't be back for another two weeks. Fourteen days. Finally left alone, Liv stayed slumped down on the floor, too disassociated to come back to herself. This time, when a man she didn't recognize entered the room, Liv didn't fight the advances. She welcomed them.
Back on the floor of the gym, the orange-haired girl was in the midst of the black mist, receiving its hallucinatory effects, even while she dreamed.

'The truth is, everyone is going to hurt you. You just got to find the ones worth suffering for.' ― Bob Marley
--- For once in two years Cereza wasn't late. For once she stepped up against Maverick technically and seized from watching Caleb die before her again. All the same she had not truly put an end to Maverick. He had such a hold on her this was just her barely scratching the surface. She was hating everything about how she was feeling at this very moment. A mixture of different emotions were blending into a very dangerous cocktail within her being. Things she normally didn't let in. Things she kept in the deepest parts of her abyss were stirring to the surface and it was boiling. Heat figuratively emulated off of her. She couldn't even comprehend it for herself. All she knew was she just couldn't allow that to play again. She wasn't even in the mist at that time. It was all the memory brought up by Levi. Why did he have to remind her of Caleb? Why did Caleb have to linger her thoughts, haunting her to do what was right? Maybe she didn't want to do what was right. Maybe she wanted to do whatever she felt like. Maybe she didn't want to conform to the laws of right and wrong and just felt like bending them to her will. Maybe Caleb needed to back off a bit.
--- No one had ever seen her so angry and this wasn't even the peak. This was just the slow build up. Correction it would be a lie to say no one had there was someone; maybe two or three. Yet only one had seen her anger truly rear it's head even if it still remained just a tinge tamed above the norm of other's way of letting out their aggression. Her fist still tightened at her sides as her head turned to look at Levi. His state was hard to understand but Cereza wasn't in the most understanding of moods. Nor was she in the mindset to sit there analyze and decipher. Her brows remained frowned looking down at him as he looked back up at her with tears. Why did he have to look at her like that? It actually bothered her more. Those eyes. Was there remorse in there?
"Don't look at m--- "
--- Her words were cut short by the sound of his voice changing as he apologized. Her body froze at his last words before he 'changed'. Eyes widened just enough to show disbelief at what she heard. She had to be hearing things. She just had to because Levi's voice had mixed with Caleb's speaking those same words. There was just no way. Did he say he loved her? It was impossible right? Why? Why did he love her? How could he love her? She couldn't have given him any reason to. She barely opened up to him, actually she really hated. Her mind was being flooded with the shock he would say this and now of all times. She was vulnerable, so unlike her.
~Wha-What right does he have saying that to me? Th-that's bullshit... He's lying.... Take it back.~
--- It seemed to prove to be the ultimate distraction for the young brunette. It did such a good job at it that despite her eyes following what was now the 'Ghoul' standing up, matching her in height she just couldn't register what was before her just yet. All sound was absent minus the echo in her head. The echo resonated outward back into reality reopening the windows of sound just in time for her to hear the last words of the Ghoul. Cereza's reaction time was usually much better than this but the distraction he probably didn't mean to cause did it's damage. She would manage to raise left right arm in front of chest but it wasn't nearly prepared to truly brace for the sudden palm to her chest. Her arm would end up being pushed into her chest as she was sent flying backwards from the force. The ones you aren't prepared for hurt the most. Oh her body hit the floor rather hard as she slid a little to a halt. A grunt left her lips in the process of the contact. This wasn't gonna go well at all. Funny enough they never really got the chance to truly go at it with each other.
--- However even now Cereza was still hurt. The stab wound in her side throbbed and was in a threatening position to reopen. For a moment the wind got booted from her lungs as she tried to make a steady recovery. Her chest pounded as she propped herself up with her hands and her head faced the floor. She wasn't just going to stand there and take being hit by anyone that was for certain. She didn't get that belt from Orion for no reason. But she didn't exactly face the Ghoul that day and she only had mere fragments in her mind of what it was capable of. Beyond that this was actually Levi behind there. Levi whom just confessed something she was far from ready to hear or believe in. Oddly enough she actually got more angry as the Ghoul's words that she thought she missed replayed. Cereza's tone would hint at her agitation, her anger as she pushed herself off the ground into a standing position.
"...Fuck you..."
--- Fine so that was how it was going to be then, well so be it.
"And if he's watching he's a weak coward then so fuck him too."
--- Ouch. She was really really mad wasn't she. Or was there a hint of pain somewhere hidden inside? Was that her head mixed with her heart talking or what? Cereza didn't think Levi was weak, never once but right now her usual provocation ways just peered out and bit at him.

Cereza's hurts would sink in deeply, but not as a cut. Levi was fast to understand people and his understanding of Cereza told him that there was something to the way she acted and to the way she spoke of things like love. She was hurting inside. Not necessarily from his words and the Ghouls actions, but most likely from something in her past that Levi had, on numerous occasions, opted to refrain from prying into.
Cereza...
right, she has a name, it will be dead girl in a moment!
YOU BASTARD!!!
The Ghoul cackled as it approached in a blur, though it was direct. It would stop directly in front of her as it roared in her face, daring her to make a move as it would strive to evoke the fear it craved oh so much from the young woman.

--- For most people Cereza was an extremely hard person to read or understand but Levi somehow no matter what he managed to get a small beat on her. That was more than anyone because even that tiny beat it was pretty accurate. She hid from him still, well enough she thought but he was someone she needed to keep an eye on. She needed to be at her highest guard to prevent something from leaking out that had no business to. But why would it? Because he had some kind of freaking magical powers that's why. However Levi had so many opportunities to pry into her past and never once did he take them. He always let it be. Let sleeping dogs lie as they say. She knew it too.
--- Some things just come to bite you in the ass sometimes. Who knew that the day they met would twist and turn into something. To Cereza it still wasn't all that fantastical. No no, Cereza wasn't the girl to let her heart out. Many didn't think she had much of one. The way she used people. Manipulated them so uncaring about their feelings and the like. Had she done so to Levi? Honestly no not yet. Was she capable of doing so? Very much so. Would she do so? Probably. But his words, this scenario could it change any of that? That was a tough question. He struck a chord with her while she was in a vulnerable state. That pissed her off. If he said that any other time she might've actually chuckled about it and toyed with the thought. No he had to present it during a moment of weakness. The creature approached at a crazy speed that almost felt like she couldn't react in time if he had tried something. Then again minimal movement was just as quick but still she was taken back by the speed.
--- At best her right foot had shifted back a little for balance and bracing purposes but he had done nothing. All he had done was appear before her and seeming yell in her face. Ok now Cereza was getting more agitated. Maybe for the slightest moment there was an ounce of fear in her heart but she stood her ground. To hell was she going to allow that intimidation. To hell she was going to let him get away with hitting her and what he said. No Cereza would no strike first still, but her brows frowned twisting her face into a canvas of anger. Levi had never once seen her mad. If this was how it was going to be so be it. There was nothing that was going to save her now. Nothing to save either of them unless he himself snapped out of it, because Cereza wasn't very good at soothing a beast. She could be if she tried but she wouldn't try. No she was the type to provoke the hell out of it. She didn't know how to more or less baby anyone. To be that comforting person that could tell them it'd be ok, at least not genuinely. Unless it was her niece Amara everyone else got some bullshit water down version or nothing at all. With this creature in her face she looked at him, speaking with a stubborn strength in her tone.
"Don't fucking threaten me just to pussy out in the end.."
--- Good job Cereza. Just keep on pushing why don't you. Did she really have a death wish?
Just one more time before I go I'll let you know That all this time I've been afraid Wouldn't let it show Nobody can save me now, no Nobody can save me now

The Ghoul was somewhat surprised to see Cereza stand her ground as firmly as she did. It stood up straight, looking down on her as it grinned. Normally the Ghoul would just rip her apart, but perhaps it was Levi's feelings towards her dampening the normal reckless brutality that was the Ghoul's calling card. It's voice growled again as it eyed her hungrily.
"I can see why he likes you...you're strong willed...beautiful...yes...but I bet his confession confused you didn't it? Oh yes, he figured it might...but you're so stubborn! I can beat that out of you before you die."
Incredibly strange behavior from the beast. Levi was certainly losing his struggle for control, but his feeling and personality had never integrated with the Ghoul's so much externally. This was definitely cause for concern. Was there actually a compatibility between them? What did that mean? Too many questions consumed Levi's mind as he watched in horror as the Ghoul began to make it's next move. With another roar, the Ghoul shot it's foot out as a front kick into Cereza's chest. If it connected cleanly and she flew backwards at all, the Ghoul would pursue and, in a blur, run to her left side and grab her face with its right and continue running until it reached the gym wall, where it would slam her head into the cinder block walls of the gym.
Assuming all of that transpired, Levi would feel a fire much deeper than the rage that he often pointed at others or even sometimes himself. It was a seething hatred. Such an unforgivable act would be met with every ounce of his ire. He shook with rage as he spoke to the Ghoul within his head.
Y-You...I hate you...
Goooood...now calm down and watch me rip your girlfriend apart!
YOU WILL NOT!!!
!!!
As Levi's rage turned into force of will, Cereza see the creature release her face and clutch it's head as it screeched, the black mist pouring out once again. Would she understand? Would she attack? Maybe run?

'I will NOT lie down. I will NOT go quietly. I will NOT submit. I will NOT roll over. I will NOT comply. Don't tread on me'
Battle Cry
--- Stubborn was her middle name. It was one thing that got her in trouble often enough yet all the same it was the one thing that kept her pushing through. She wouldn't falter easily. No not Cereza. She wasn't just going to give up and take anyone's shit. Submitting? What? That wasn't going to happen. Never again. Though the circumstances were different and it was almost impossible for her to not have, but she wasn't going to again. She made that a mission, a goal. Every now and again she fell down that rabbit hole but it was never so bad was it? That was a matter of perspective. It was complicated. So many wouldn't understand. Had she ever decided to open up would Levi ever understand? Question of the year that would probably remained unanswered for a long time. If ever. Fuck the situation. Fuck Levi right now. Don't tread on her. Cereza was in no mood to be pussyfooted around. She didn't like to be toyed with or strung along. However the creature before her seemed suddenly confused as it stood up straight. No matter to her it wasn't though he towered over her or anything. They were equal in height at least.
--- Her side throbbed from that still fresh stab wound. She was able to gather her breath back from his first attack enough since he had delayed in striking her. Well that was to her advantage right? She would show the tinge of pain towards it instead she would just focus her glare upon him. At this point she just wanted him to come at her and get this over with. So odd was she even thinking about saving the boy inside? Levi, her little canary as she once called him. It didn't really seem like she was considering that as an option. But one never really knew with Cereza. The creature spoke up and even his words slightly surprised her; not the way Levi's confession had though. But she didn't expect this creature to speak of her stubbornness about it. Yes Levi's declaration that he loved her took her so off guard she didn't know whether she really heard it or not at first. How long had Levi felt that way to assume it would confuse her? Cereza's stubbornness almost didn't know any bounds, the creature was right. But about beating that out of her, while he was welcomed to try. She wasn't going to just lay there. However was that just the creature or was Levi speaking too? The Ghoul took a step back to try and latch a front kick at Cereza's trust. Now she was more prepared this time and trying to kick her there meant he could be rendered off balance a bit easier due to the fact they shared similar height.
--- Cereza's movements would be simple and utilize the thought process behind Wing Chun. Deflect and counter. From her positioning she reacted by shifting a hint to her left while palming his leg away, but she didn't stop there as her right hand shot out quickly to grab his face and viciously toss or rather push him to the ground head first. She hoped with the almost certain lack of balance she would be able to make it happen and had it gone through she didn't feel it best to stand so near. Quickly she would take three rather big steps back, just barely out of his leg range. Again her left leg was forward while the right back, this time her hands came up very slightly open palmed almost mirroring her legs. If she managed to get her hit off she would speak in an low angered tone still poking at it.
"Get the fuck up..I'll show you how stubborn I really am."
Levi... Get your girl. She done lost her mind.

Liv's cheeks were tightly squeezed between a rude grip that mussed with her makeup. She was annoyed. What did he think he was doing? The smaller girl looked up at the much older man with a bored expression. Staring him down, Liv noted the stench of methamphetamine, the sour smell rooted into his skin. The man was disgusting and his depleting mental state was becoming a threat to her. She was forced to face with a choice. Just make him go away. Liv reached her hands upward to grab the man's face. I want everything to go away. Pausing for a moment, her thumbs stroking underneath his eyes suddenly hesitated. No more, no more, I can't do anymore. His howls were quickly muffled as his hands flew away from her, cradling his face. Liv had dug her thumbs into the man's sockets with a vengeance, a punishment of sorts.
Her mind was quiet, the hysteric screaming quieting down. Liv stared up at the ceiling for a long moment, surprised at the sound of silence now that it had finally returned. Was this what it would take for her to get some peace? The man's muffled groans brought her attention back to him. But, he would try and ruin it again. Liv remembered her mother's lax body slumped on the couch in her brief high. The stress just from the image made her shaky and mind begin an uproar. No, if Liv stopped this man, well, then there wouldn't be enough people for her mother to bum money off of. Stepping forward, the girl stared down at the man with newfound realization. That's right. Trash like you doesn't deserve life. Go away. You're disgusting. I don't want you here, anymore. People like you, can go die.
