A lunch box is seen last Friday, around 12:37:08pm with an encouraging note packed inside. This appalling display that utterly lacked manliness has left many students stunned and outrage, as some decided, after a long while, to speak out against it.

--- Voices and noise blended into one. Tapping, thudding, random conversations. The din was actually a little irritating. The teen had too much on her mind. To many things in the background going. She thought she had a lead on something finally and that had proven to be false. It was that which had in such a thought. She seemed a little cold today. Was it just the thoughts or a piece of her truth pushing through her veil? Anyone closest to her, which wasn't many and some not knew there was a ice princess there from time to time. Her hand remained sketching adding finishing touches as his voice broke through again. She said nothing initially. Since he was so observant this wouldn't be a matter of reading her, but noticing that the girl he met and the one sitting next to him was not one hundred percent the same. However at his question she would speak up. Firstly she turned to a blank page and let her hand move seemingly without a thought across the page.
"No."
--- Responding to the first half she tilted those shaded eyes up to look at "Professor Hollows" again. Scanning him over before returning her gaze to her new sketching. Her head never moved so the glance wouldn't be seen. It's funny how though everyone was talking amongst themselves, each conversation could be heard if one was listening. Even Cereza and Levi's.
"Considering his laid back pretty boy looks. Why not? I'd bite."
--- Cereza said it so casually. So nonchalantly with a very light shrug. Never looking once at Levi or anyone. Though it wouldn't be surprising if her last words were taken out of context by anyone who picked up on their conversation without hearing Levi's question to her. Even with that they could still be misconstrued. Not that she would care that it had been. She knew what she meant. She'd give him a chance basically. She was here already so.

Levi had always been good at reading social situations and people, but his skills weren’t even needed for this one: Something happened. Cereza seemed considerably different from the last time they had met and he could tell that talking with him was more of a not necessarily welcome distraction from whatever was going on in her head. She clearly had her own distraction going in front of her and it wasn’t his place to poke and prod into whatever was going on in her life, plus, this really wasn’t the place.
Levi smiled as he eyed the professor again “heh, I suppose we might as well give him a chance.”
His smile faded quickly as he continued to observe the almost literal cloud hovering over Cereza. He clearly wasn’t fully content with letting her wallow for an entire class and who knows how long afterwards. Still, he didn’t know her well enough to even begin to empathize more than just an outsider could, but he would try nonetheless. He leaned in just a bit, softening his voice, “I know we only met a few days ago, but if you need to blow off some steam, let me know.” He hoped the message would be received, though it was probably a bit weird to anyone listening in. There was no ulterior motive to this, he was simply trying to be a good human being and, if she would have it, a friend. He had no idea how this would come across to her, but he hoped she would read into it enough to understand, at the very least, that he meant well. Levi straightened up and looked forward, anticipating the beginning of class, not necessarily expecting an answer.

Aaron leaned Back against the white board, watching the students pile in. His eyes trailed to Phoebe, then the slick male sitting behind her. He made no sign that he even knew Austin, instead looking to the others. Airplanes, chatter. The school needed a lot of work. He wasn't here for that but if it made his life easier he wouldn't argue.
A loud SNAP would be heard as he cracked his measuring stick against the board. he snapped his own book closed as well, looking the class over. Besides Austin there were a few others without books, so he would comment.
"It will be very difficult to pass this class without a book. But don't worry, myself and everyone in this room will wait while you get yourselves one."
He set the measuring stick down, folded his arms and waited. Assuming everyone got up and got one he would continue. If they refused, he'd walk over and grab a book before slamming it down on the desk of every student that decided to act tough and ignore him. "Forgive me, I forgot that you probably still have the urge to make your tiny manhoods seem large by standing up to the teacher. Let me help you less endowed children retrieve your texts."
If they all went and got books, he would simply continue.
"Now, this is Biology one. Biology is classified as the study of life as we know it, and everything contained in it. From the physiological, to the microscopic. I want to know, however- when you hear the word biology, what do you think of? Raise your hands please."
OOC: First person to post raising their hand, assume he calls on you and feel free to answer. Ignore spelling mistakes, as this was posted from my phone.

Levi instinctively raised his hand and quickly had the urge to put it back down. He had forgotten that he was always eager to please anyone he viewed as an instructor. It was probably his upbringing, or perhaps he was just a suck up. Either way, he did have an answer and despite his shyness in front of new groups of people, he would suck it up and answer the man's question. He tended to have a negative outlook on something before participating and then usually enjoyed himself in the end, so this time, he would try a little harder to enjoy himself from the beginning.
As he was called on, he swallowed hard and took just a moment before answering in a thoughtful tone, "I think of cells and the processes that happen in them as well as what that effect has on the larger organism as a whole." The nerves quickly faded as he began to answer and he knew his answer wasn't stupid, so he had nothing to be embarrassed about...right?

Steven would contine to read through the book, in order to waste time. Engrossed in doing so he hadn't notice anyone that he knew so far. However Steven would be knocked out of his task by something hitting him in the back of the head. Not hard really, but curiously Steven would turn. He would see the paper air on the floor and scan the room to try and figure out who had thrown it.
He would notice a few student he didn't know in the class, but he would also notice Xaier, Phoebe and Austin, and Cereza but with the change in style and not looking closely Steven didn't realise it was her. Noticing that Xaier was on crutches Steven knew that it couldn't of been him. That left either Phoebe or the guy sitting with her, someone he didn't like. That surprised him. Steven interaction with Austin had not been good ones, but he gave him the benefit of the doubt. If Phoebe was his friend well her wouldn't start anything, it wasn't his way anyway. Still it seemed like he was the most likely candidate for the plane. Uncaring Steven picked up the paper, and unfolded it. Placing it on his desk, well scape paper to make notes wasn't a bad plan.
It would be at that point, the teacher finally spoke as people took there seat. Getting book one way or another. However Steven decided not to raise his hand, when the question came. He thought that it was pretty self explanatory what biology meant.
Looking around once more, Steven eye would land on Xaier, worried about what must have happened to him. Steven had heard that someone had challenged Saya from rumour but not who, so he had no idea where Xaier had gotten the injuries. Though Steven would be sure to ask Xaier what the hell he was thinking, when he did find out.
Steven nodded at him, before turning back to the teacher and leaning back in his chair. Ready to just listen to the one of the students he didn't know answer the question. It was more specific then the nwser Steven would have gone for.

Aaron grinned and pointed.
"YES! Cells! White blood cells And how they attack invaders, red blood cells that carry oxygen that let us move and fight and live. Enzymes, proteins, laminin, and others! Great, great. What else?"

--- Both her brows would've raised in a purposeful comical way as she turned her head slowly to Levi's whisper. Her free left hand placed on her chest so dramatically.
"Really? What kind of girl do you take me for? At least wait till we're out of prying eyes and ears to proposition me like that. The nerve."
--- There she was. Joking around with him as she turned to face forward at the loud snap of a ruler. What was up with guys and pulling out the measure sticks? Every chance they got. Did every single male feel the need to always put their manhood up for measurement or discussion? Cereza just shook her head at the thoughts and the sound of books being slammed on the desk of those who choose not to listen. Damn her ears. At his question she really didn't bother to raise her hand though Levi quickly did. There was that Christmas tree again. She listened to his response and awaited others. It wasn't for the lack of having nothing to say on the subject as she often read and researched on many things for personal reasons. She just didn't feel like raising her hand. Simple. Though thinking back on Levi's technical request, she considered taking him up on that offer. Later.

Ack. She'd forgotten she would have to hear whispers of how good looking students found her brother. Awkwaaaard. She could feel her ears burn; regardless of the possible context...it was awkward.
Pheebs is awkward turtle.
She remained quiet throughout people having to get theId texts, and was surprised at the speed of which someone's hand shot up.
Oh! Expansion!
Phoebe's hand lifted with a grin.
"To expand on my classmate's excellent start, it's also the study of those organisms in each level of ecosystem they reside in, from the effects they have on one another and their habitats, all the way to a global scale."

Post by Shouyo Li on Jan 23, 2015 15:28:32 GMT -5
On the verge between full deep sleep and maybe somewhat conscious Shouyo jumped awake with the sound of the ruler hitting against the board. So this man standing in front of the class really was the teacher. Resting his head on one hand Shouyo opened the book to the first chapter and briefly read through the text. He would take a small glance up to look at the student who would answer the teacher. He was surprised to see someone who actually knew the answer and even volunteered first to say it.
He knew the basics of biology but didn't say anything, it was his key goal in life to stay invisible. What was even another surprise was that the teacher seemed a little too enthusiastic. Oh and another student! A female this time, even more enthusiastic then the teacher and student A combined. All three seemed to slowly make their way on Shouyo's avoid list. Not due to personal grudges but they seemed to be the type of people who would drain his energy too much. Continuing to read the text Shouyo came across a word he was familiar with and tried to dig up it's definition.
"Homeostasis, an organisms process to maintain stability within their internal environment according to the external environment."
He would mumble to himself, it was probably the only thing he was actually pretty familiar with in biology. That was only because he would remember in Living Environment class freshman year. The only reason Shouyo was able to pass the class is because he would remember the answer to 80% of questions would be "to maintain homeostasis". Or something along those lines. Another small yawn escaped his lips as Shouyo grabbed a pen and notebook from his schoolbag to attempt at taking notes.

Levi listened to the other answers as he smiled in response to Cereza's response. A joke was always a good sign with her, and yet there was sometimes a little more to it, underneath the humor. She had gotten the message, much to Levi's satisfaction.
Levi was actually fairly engaged in the class so far, much to his surprise. Perhaps this school could be more than just a school for violent misfits. Levi would continue to listen and planned on participating more should the opportunity arose.

More people were participating than he expected!
"Great Phoebe! Habitats. Rain forests and deserts. The niche of every organism that resides in a particular environment. Wonderful!"
He turned to the next one, nodding as he spoke, grinning. Some kids here had brains! Perhaps this wasn't so terrible a place to be. And here, they needed him far more than in Cali. He would point at the student and then turn, moving to the board. He wrote homeostasis on the board.
"Yes- Homeostasis, an example of which could be the regulation of temperature in a living creatures body according to its environment. Very good! Homeostasis is a key to the progress of biology, and also one that's the most difficult to measure."
He turned around and held his arms wide.
"We are forgetting one of the key elements to biology- reproduction! Sex!"
He wrote it on the board. S E X.
"Sex is so avoided in school programs outside of health or sex Ed- and its a problem. Sex is one of the more basic instincts of every creature, and is the driving force in almost every facet of society. Biologically, it is a far more fascinating topic. You strip away the stigma and the thought of just the act, and biology is all that remains! A single egg in a human female is met by a single sperm, and because of that meeting every single cell that makes up you, sitting here now, can work and drive and push air into your lungs. We are gonna start our lesson on the scale of sperm and eggs- a microscopic scale that are the building blocks to all life in this universe as we know it."
He would open his book.
"Please open your books to chapter one, and I'll read."

Austin had let out a little sigh, pulling himself up from his seat to move and grab one of the books as Aaron instructed. He would give him a small nod before returning to his seat. Might as well play the good student even if he was probably going to sit in his chair and fall asleep in a few minutes.
One his way back toward his seat he would catch a glimps of the girl in the hoodie. As he walked by her, he would nudge her a little with his elbow as he passed. Mouthing 'Hi' to her before returning to his seat. He was doing his best at hiding the injury to his leg, but a slightly wince here and there escaped. Weakness was something he really didn't want to show.
Soon enough though, the questions would begin to fly. Austin would lean back in his chair, casting glances toward each person that answered. Silent little golf claps were festured each time someone answered correctly. He was bored, just trying to entertain himself now.
Pretty soon he would begin to doodle on another piece of paper in which Phoebe gave him. Yes, he was the perfect example of a slacker. And he totally did not care. Until he heard Aaron say something about sex.
"Sex! I know how to do that."

Steven sighed as he listened to people list of answers and in turn the teacher reply to them. This exercise seemed some what elementary, and unlike many student. Steven was hoping some really work would start soon. Though the way the teacher replied he seemed to like his job, biology was a hassle. Not because it was difficult, but because Steven had little interest in it. And someone always mentions...
Steven didn't get to finish the thought, as the teacher himself did so. Bringing up reproduction as always happened. Steven would roll his eyes at Austin's response to the teachers work. What next, was he going to turn to page whatever, and draw all over the pictures of anatomy.
Steven would turn to the page as instructed though, and leave the book open in front of him. Leaning back in his seat and looking around. He had already read part of the books first section when he had picked it up. And now he would have to listen to it to.
Instead of reading, Steven would write quickly on the paper plane from before and scune it up. Dropping it to the ground and kicking it across the floor backwards towards Xaier, as the teacher went to read from the book, and as such was hopefully distracted.
'What happened to you man? Rosett.' The note asked simply.

O-Oh God...
Phoebe felt the fire from her blush flare up her neck and turn her entire face red. Even her ears burned.
Oh God oh no.
She sank down in her chair, feeling the burn intensify at the hoots and yelled comment. Nope. Nope. Noooooo. No sex talk from Aaron please. That was awkward and embarrassing.
Meekly, she turned the pages to the specified chapter, now trying to be small and unnoticed.

(Ooc: posting from ipod for once will edit when home)
--- Cereza felt the nudge and slowly shifted her head up. Behind her shades her greys stared at him. Her brow twitched. Did he know? Was she spotted again? She was not good and being Waldo. When he mouthed the word hi he might note she seemed to just look at him before finally offering a nod. A nod really? Well it was something right? She watched him go back to his seat before turning her attention forward again. People kept responding until Professor Hollows mentioned sex. A subject everyone seemed to be so childish about. That was high school for you. Austin just had to be the one to shout the most obvious comment and Cereza couldn't help herself but to speak up. If he didn't know it was her before he might've now.
"Wow somebody give him an award. He can accomplish something simple."
--- She spoke nonchalant without glancing over her shoulder. Yip she was a snippy one. But nevertheless a good student overall. She would look at the teacher and seem to wave a hand in a gesture suggesting 'please continue'. She already Austin would banter back with her. Question was did he know who he was bantering with.
