A brand new group is on the making, The Apostles, a Pillar-like group led by none other than our brand new headmaster, Gregoire Girard. A student body that would lead students and enforce the law on this little school of ours. Little is still known about this student body, but who knows? It might just be what the school needs.

A lunch box is seen last Friday, around 12:37:08pm with an encouraging note packed inside. This appalling display that utterly lacked manliness has left many students stunned and outrage, as some decided, after a long while, to speak out against it.

Vivi gave him a look that seemed to say ‘Ohp, I’ve been caught.’ It didn’t occur to her that telling him to buzz off about it might be the best option. Typically when this happened she totally lost her ability to easily tell good lies and go with the flow of things. It was like she suddenly had the lying skills of a little kid when it came to this. And Aaron had called her out on it. Made sense… breaking a window? Stupid. She should’ve come up with something better.
"Yeeeeah. That was a pretty shitty lie."
The fact that he was a teacher and seemed mature made her feel a little more compelled to tell. After a few moments, she decided to tell a part truth, which in the long run really was still a form of dishonesty.
“Arson, and destruction of both public and private property, among other things,” Vivi shrugged her shoulders, “But that’s how it goes.”
She glanced at the holes in the wall and sucked her teeth. Okay, so she admitted some of the things she’d done. Or at least been suspected of doing. The first one they never got any proof on. But the ‘among other things’ bit… that kind of umbrella’d all her worst crimes. Out of the four Pillars… she was extremely ashamed of it, but she was probably the most despicable.

Hm.
"I see. Other things....did you kill someone?"
He was a blunt person by nature, and despite the seriousness of the question, he didn't seem particularly phased by what he answer might be. He knew killers in this place- Austin, Leon. Both were good people now. Hell, He'd killed. Allen too. Phoebe....she was growing, and had killed. Murdered....for good reason, but regardless.
"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, I'm not gonna be pissed and ACTUALLY give you detention or anything. Though, if you need me to fix that shirt...I'm pretty good at sewing."
He turned a little red again, but seemed supremely confident. He'd grin and wink if she looked at him- he should....probably find out how old she was. This might be entirely inappropriate....okay, this definitely was, regardless of age. He cleared his throat and gave an easier smile.

Vivi met his gaze and seemed to stare for a moment.
“No,” she said simply.
Regardless of whether she had really done anything like that or not, this guy seemed to understand. He didn’t pose the question with an accusing nature. Maybe he got it. The fact that everyone has a beast inside of them that wakes up when you give them something they’re willing to fight for. Some people’s passion burned so bright, other’s got burned along the way.
The violet haired girl nodded along with the rest of what he had to say before leaning over to whisper in his ear.
“You never know who could be listening…” her voice was extremely quiet, when she spoke and she quickly she sat back on the bench.
Oh, he was offering to fix her shirt? The guy might’ve been joking but Vivi was actually really hopeful. The girl was pretty much broke all the time and didn’t have the money to spend on new clothes at the moment, so if he could fix her shirt that would be pretty freaking awesome.
“You serious?”
Didn’t matter if he was now, he better have been serious.
“You bet I fuck'n want you to fix my shirt! I don’t have the cash to buy new clothes.”
She stood up and dropped the jacket from her shoulders, before slipping the shirt up and over her head. All insecurities were gone for this brief moment in her hopefulness, and she wasn’t really worried about him ogling either. In her mind, there was nothing attractive about her body. While she had an ideal and toned figure, black markings from her face off with the Wraith marred the skin on he abdomen, and a slash mark across her stomach along with a scar that appeared to be from a stab wound did as well.
“You better fix it,” she held it out to him.

Aaron's eyes narrowed. He would furrow his brow a little too- so....she was followed? He didn't like the sound of that. He would nod and look up, opening an application on his phone before glancing at her and back down at his phone. Then he froze, his eyes coming back up to her as she held her shirt out to him. His ears reddened as his eyes trailed up her torso before he cleared his throat and reached out, taking the torn shirt and nodding.
"Uh...yeah, yeah I'd be happy to. Come on."
He'd bend down and grab his jacket, swinging it around her back and bringing it over her shoulders, patting them lightly as he smiled.
"Not that the view isn't great, but you'll catch a cold if you just start running around topless."
He chuckled and grabbed his bag, heading out of the gym and walking back toward his classroom. He would hold the door open for her and let her head in first before closing and locking the door behind him. He would close all the curtains and tap the button on his application, which immediately started broadcasting. He would head over toward his desk.
"I used to work for the government, ex-military. They have some great applications for their phones that blank signals from a given room. If you check your cell, you'll notice how dead the signal is. You couldn't even call the cops if you wanted."
He would take a seat at the desk and break out his sewing kit- yeah, so manly. But he needed that shit, his stuff got shredded all the time.
"So tell me about michigan."

Ah, thank god he was seriously going to fix it! She wiped a little more blood that had managed to trickle out of her nose and sniffled as he took it and then, moments later, suddenly became acutely aware of how well… shirtless she was. Vivi would’ve moved to pick the jacket back up, but Aaron was already on that and swung it around her shoulders all gentleman like. Honestly it was a little embarrassing. She wasn’t sure why, maybe she wasn’t used to treatment like this? But any case, she just needed to brush it off. No need to get all worked up.
Vivi followed him to the class room with upturned eye brows, and briefly glanced over her shoulder when he shut and locked the door behind them. Next he closed all the curtains before doing something with his phone and heading over to his desk to get started on her shirt. Vivi pulled herself up onto one of the desks across from him to sit, and listened to what he had to say about his little application.
The violet haired girl took out her phone and checked the signal. Sure enough… it was blocked. They were pretty secure in here, but it felt kind of ominous.
“Ex-military, huh?” she arched an eye brow, and the corner of her mouth quirked up slightly, “What a badass.”
Vivi kicked her legs slightly as the dangled over the ground, trying to muster up the courage to talk about Michigan. This was five-five-two. Almost everyone was a criminal here, and he didn’t really seem like the white knight type. Well… she was probably getting a lot more worked up about this than she needed to.
“Where do I start…?” she muttered and looked up at the ceiling for a moment, before looking back at Aaron.
“Well, the city I lived in wasn’t too different from most places you’ll see. Grew up pretty well off there. Then went to a boarding school, left, got lost, got found, and... things were pretty steady for a while,” she shrugged, “But as things go, stuff I did came back and bit me in the butt. Always does. Now I’m here. But honestly, all in all, I don’t have too many actual good memories from there. Noth’n special about that place. Noth'n interesting”

His fingers pinched the cloth as he listened, though he could tell she was avoiding some of the sore stuff. His hands worked deftly, the needle quite fluid in his grasp. Aaron ignored the comment about him being badass- death and slaughter was all his past was. He didn't view it as cool or badass- he had been serving his country. Now....now he was trying to protect what little remained of his family. He glanced at the girl and cocked an eyebrow.
"Tell me about why you think someone might be listening to you."
Nothing was coming from this room, or going. He had the walls lined with sound insulators inside, mostly for experiments he wanted to do with the kids. But it also provided a way to pretend people from hearing them, or listening in. Inside that room, tools that allowed you to eaves drop were dead. Hell, just outside the room they were dead. Aaron took no chances.
"You'll find this to be a safe environment. What did you do that made you come here?"
What...was she running away from?

Vivi watched Aaron carefully and leaned forward, resting her elbows on her knees and her chin on her hands. Why did he want to know? Pure curiosity, she imagined. Vivi did have the tendency to be overly secretive and give out very little information about herself without explanation. She felt curiosity about the backgrounds of several five-five-two students as well, but never had the guts to ask.
“Well, nosiness I guess. You never know when a student might be milling around and see it as a chance for black mail,” she shrugged her shoulders slightly, “But… I’m also careful about what I say because of a group I used to be a part of in Michigan. They’re here now.
She was silent a moment, before letting out a sigh and massaging her temples.
“A lot of things… some of them never really got proved true, like the arson bit,” she looked up, “Just imagine a crime. I’ve probably done it, or been involved or associated with a person or group who’s done it. I was part of an organized crime syndicate once upon a time... nasty stuff.”
Guilt weighed down heavily on her chest and she placed her head in her hands for a moment. Her violet haired fell like a curtain in front of her face as she squeezed her eyes shut and took a deep breath. She’d said a lot and it wasn’t even the half of it. Honestly, she felt if the general body of five-five-two knew what she’d been involved with she’d lose a lot of weight in her words and gain a terrible reputation. If she was going to be a good leader, she couldn’t risk that.

Aaron chewed his lip as he sewed, sticking the needle between his lips while she spoke and he adjusted the cloth. His face, still bruised, still hurt but not quite as badly. He looked at her face too, the girl having absorbed his Repulser fist. Removing the needle from his mouth he popped open the small freezer box by his desk and grabbed an ice pack. He would offer it to her to put on her cheek. He didn't need one- he'd be healed in a few short days and he'd had much worse. He continued to finish the repairs for a moment when she finished, trying how best to approach the topic.
"There aren't many people you should trust with that information. Not because I think they would judge you- many people have history that's just as bad. I think the only reason you should be careful not to get caught by this gang. Have you met my brother, Allen? He's a student here. When we got back, just before the murder in Time Square, he said he met you when they were fighting Mikey and Valo. Anyway....he's stubborn, and sometimes has a misguided sense of honor but...he's a good kid. He would help you if you wanted it. Or even if you just wanted a person you can trust- he and Phoebe would be it. I'm here, of course, and willing to help you but...I'm not certain how comfortable you are with talking to an old man."
He laughed. He was only 26 but still...sometimes teens had problems with talking to those who were older. Allen was bull headed but...he saw the good in people. Aaron....had a far harder time of that but he was beginning to learn.
"When all is said and done...you need a few good people at your side. If you have a gang in mind, join it. They'll offer you protection soon. Lightning or Hyperion are both good fits."

She took the ice pack and held the cold substance to her cheek, closing her eyes for a moment and muttering a quiet ‘thank you.’ Her head still throbbed, but the conversation was helping to distract her. She opened her indigo eyes again and listened to Aaron, nodding occasionally.
“Yeah. I keep pretty quiet about it. The only person I can really see myself talking to about it is maybe Valo, if he asked. Otherwise there’s no point. I mean, it’s behind me now, right?”
Well, it kind of was. Or it used to be. The fact that they relocated to NYC and were making an effort to track her down dug up the whole situation afresh in her mind, and she hated it. She needed distractions constantly, or anxiety and frustration felt like it’d eat her up from the inside.
“He’s your brother huh? Interesting kid. I remember him and girl there who seemed really close,” she replied, “I tried to stop them from getting hurt, but… ah. It didn’t go down so well. I’m sorry for that.”
She paused and looked down at her lap where she held the ice pack in her hands, pressing her fingers against it as she thought.
“I don’t they’d want anything to do with me, to be honest. The two of them hate me as far as I can tell,” she let out a wry chuckle, “You’re pretty cool, though. And c’mon Aaron, you’re hardly old.”
Vivi raised her eye brows when he mentioned the gangs, and held the ice pack up to her face once more. She’d be lying if she said she hadn’t thought about joining one. Maybe it was irrational but past experiences made her really iffy about joining gangs. And then there was the ever looming worry of not being accepted.
“I don’t think I need anyone to protect me,” she said simply.
What she meant was unclear by her words. She wasn’t implying her combat prowess was enough to keep herself safe without help—it wasn’t. Or that she wasn’t in danger—she was, almost everyday. The problem was, she wasn’t worth protecting. It was a waste of life and effort.
“I’ve considered joining one of those two gangs, though. I've met both of their leaders. But I’m not sure yet.”

Aaron would furrow his brow, pausing in his work.
"I don't think they hate you, especially if you just wanted to protect them. But....I think that people protecting them is the problem. They stomach me doing it because I'm their brother but everyone they run into have told them they are weak and should run. But....if someone stronger than you came along and your friends were in danger but this strong person told you to run.....would you? I mean, I don't know if that's what you said to them but a few people have said it already. They are good kids but just like anyone I think they want to stand up for what they believe in, not bury their head in the sand, y'know?"
Aaron continue sewing after a smile.
"If you approached him, I'm sure he wouldn't act like he hated you. You never know until you try. As for a gang- it's not always about protection. I joined LG but don't really need them. I use them as a means to protect those I care about. Numbers....they matter. Especially when those coming for them are stronger or have numbers too. And they treat each other like family, always standing together. That's important too."
He shrugged.
"I could get you set up in LG, but Hyperion doesn't seem all that bad. They need a more firm moral compass, and their willingness to accept wrongdoing in the face of an idealized "Greater good" has been the song of tyrants throughout history. But they have potential and could use good people."
Cutting the string, He held up her shirt, showing a nearly unnoticeable line of thread that made her cloth whole.
"Done. Trade ya~"
He stood up, aiming to take his jacket and hand her the shirt. He would turn around, being the gentleman he was, while she put her shirt on. He would chuckle and let out a slow whistle.
"Kinda sucks the windows are closed. People walking by and seeing you without a shirt might get questions. I could give you extra credit just to mess with them too."
He laughed, clearly kidding.
Sort of.

"I could try to talk to them, I guess," Vivi shrugged, referring to the younger Hollows.
She removed his jacket and handed it to him, before taking back her shirt. Slipping her top on once more, she stretched out her shoulders but grunted when she felt a stabbing pain somewhere in her abdomen. She'd probably gotten some internal damage from Aaron's last attack.
"I'll consider it," she replied, "I know the leader of Hyperion really well. Honestly, I'd say he's just not afraid to go the extra mile, not bridled by some idealized concept of moral justice. He'll do the right thing, just in his own way."
She paused a moment.
"Thanks for fixing my shirt, dude."
It took her a moment or so to understand what he was alluding to, but once she did, her face flushed. Just play it cool... he was just teasing.
"That wouldn't look too good on my part," she chuckled nervously, scratching the back of her head, "The Third Pillar, A.K.A. The Wicked Witch Of The West getting it on with a teacher."
She shook her head and began walking toward the door.
"Well, thanks for the fight and all that jazz. You're a pretty cool dude." |

He turned back, hand behind his head as he would shrug on his jacket, glancing down at the papers and retaking his seat. Heh- getting it on with a teacher. Yeah, unlike her, he'd be put in jail. Still, no uh....no harm in senseless flirting, right?
"Yeah haha- come back and see me when you turn 18, then we can talk."
He grinned broadly before waving her off.
"Forget about it- I'm glad to help. You ever need help or to talk, you feel free to come and see me...even if you end up joining a group that is at odds with mine, no reason we can't be friends."
Assuming she left, he would run a hand through his hair. Whew...she was strong. Still, if the fight went on he was confident he could win. But if she was able to do that much damage....what could someone else do?
