A brand new group is on the making, The Apostles, a Pillar-like group led by none other than our brand new headmaster, Gregoire Girard. A student body that would lead students and enforce the law on this little school of ours. Little is still known about this student body, but who knows? It might just be what the school needs.

A lunch box is seen last Friday, around 12:37:08pm with an encouraging note packed inside. This appalling display that utterly lacked manliness has left many students stunned and outrage, as some decided, after a long while, to speak out against it.

Steven would have awoken in the hospital like many others, tired yes, but somehow not damaged. That was a good thing. Hospitals and Steven didn't go well. Steven would rush to leave, reclaiming his possessions. As well as the orange, which he had saved from the chaos at school. Lucky for him, he managed to save it. Steven would leave the hospital without speaking anyone. It would come back to bite him maybe, but not today.
As he left Steven would have made 3 phone calls. The first would have been to Shou Yamabara, the second to Mathew Collins, the last would be to Kendrick Smith. The most recent member of the Like-Minded. From there Steven would have got home. The trio already would be waiting out side of his apartment complex. With bags, obviously everything he had asked them to gather.
The four of them would head up to his place. Steven wouldn't really explain but would be moving in with a speed of man possessed. From one bag, the one brought by Mathew, Steven would grab orange after orange. Until he found most like the odd orange itself. The would come his desk being dragged out. A microscope, not the best around but good enough, brought by Kendrick. Steven thanking the goods that the younger Smith brother had one.
From there a knife would come out, slides and multiply liquids. Steven would discest the normal orange, and using different mediums, such as oils, soaps and liquids of a non-water based nature. To create slides of both the peel and main flesh of the orange. Copies for each liquid used. Then he would do the same with the Odd orange, making sure to use as little as possible. Before putting the odd orange into a plastic food bag, then in side a plastic container to prevent as much air getting to the thing.
Then he would start to examine slide next to slide. Looking for any differences in the fruit and the its odd kind.

The very first thing that would likely jump out at them would be the color of the insides. Where the normal orange was in fact orange, the Odd Orange was more red, at least a farther darker color.
The peels of both reacted the same to each liquid, if not to seem normal. For now. The flesh of the odd orange however seemed to suck up any liquid that it came in contact with and simply increase in size. The process was slow, but obvious. The rest of the odd orange seemed to increase the amount of oil around it. As if it was forcing cell division.

Steven mind boggled at what he was seeing, the fact the orange seemed to absorb liquid, not too strange. However the fact it would seem to create more oils, was insane. There would have to be matter energy coming from somewhere in order to allow it divide like that. Oil seemed to be the thing here, and there was one thing the came to mind. Steven got up, and quickly washed his hands. Washing the natural oils off his hands. Then dried them as much as he could.
He would crate another slide of the odd orange, and weight it, then he would add oil to that slide. Having weighed the oil as well. If oil and water didn't mix. But if the food was capable of creating more oils he had to wonder what they could do inside a body. Steven would look at Shou. And Shou would bring out from a bag a small, mouse in a cage. A pet of Shou's.
Steven would put the slide of both peel and flesh into the cage and then watch.

The weight after would be doubled, however the needle would bounce. Not very noticeably, but enough to catch the eye.
The mouse would get the peel and the orange and move around a bit. However what would probably stand out was the hair on its body was standing up now, every hair. The mouse also seemed to sniff a lot more.

Could the fruit being using the energy in the oil, in order to cause some form of chemical reaction boosting cell division. That would be insane, but it would explain the unnatural healing properties of the fruit. With the amount of oils in the body that, like a chemical factory. The bouncing need made the rate at which it did so obviously more impressive.
Then Steven would don some larger think rubber gloves. Open the cage a crack, and with a speed of his own, grab the creature. Trying to hold it steady his fingers wouldn't be able to feel much. What he was aim to feel for though was, a improved heartbeat and raised goosebumps. Elevated blood flow, could explain more oxygen getting to cells, add in cell production and the body could take damage by over exerting themselves and the repair or most instantly. As long as there was enough oxygen to react with.

Steven would note the harder bristle like hair on it's body, the skin underneath seemed a very dark red and it's heart rate was elevated quite a bit. It also struggled for only a few seconds before looking around as if attempting to puzzle it's way out instead of fight. It began taking deep breaths and exhaling a lot of air to make it's self smaller so as to slip out with one quick push.

This fruit was amazing if only I had the correct equipment. A proper science lab, not even the school one would do. He would need DNA machines and other things that could really pick this mystery apart. Who would be able to create something like this, and had some connection to the school in order to have got in.
Hmmm. Steven had met a few smart students, but none that would have been able to come up with the bulk amount. As well as get away supplying the whole cafeteria. No it had to be someone older, smarter, maybe with financial backing.
Someone with either a background in biology, chemistry or even just a background that meant hey would understand the process of growing food ant the like better then most to have selective breed something like this.
So any of the science teachers, anyone with a background on staff with a background in growing food. Anyone who dealt with food as well. The Cafeteria staff, the home economics teachers. There were quite a lot of candidates. This was annoying.
The rat would leap from his hand, but Steven other hand would grab out and grab a glass of water, already prepared. Swinging it and tossing the water in a wave to douse the creature and end the fruits effects, and let the pet be recovered.
Once the rat was caught, it would go back into the cage. And Steven would take the next test. He would eat some of the fruit. A decent sized mouthful. And then would wait for it to kick in.

The water would work as usual and the rat would pass out, though still breathing.
As for when Steven took his own bite he would find it taking effect rather quickly. Steam would even rush off his skin if one looked close enough as fat was burning away, Steven's body temperature would rise, his skin changing to a darker pigment as his skin became tougher. His muscle's becoming far stronger, though not bigger.
(Str, Con, Dec, Wis all increased +25 for now.)

It was quite the rush to feel, though he could feel his himself getting hot with effects of the fruit and would remove his jacket. Revealing more his arms Steven would examine them. They were darker then normal. Something really easy to tell with how pale the skin normally cover was meant to be. That would suggest a build up in melanin, Steven didn't see how exactly that would lead to his skin feeling tough. Unless the cell replication the the fruit was forcing, was adding enough extra skins cells to reinforce. Like adding a couple extra large of skin from pushing below. The melanin build up just something else being built up by a by product of the effect.
Steven would look around the room, and figure out the strongest object he could hit that wasn't actually a wall of the apartment. The kitchen cupboards would look back. Steven would go over to them. One section of the cupboard wasn't a cupboard but just designed to look like one. In fact it was solid wood through and through, holding up the counter top.
Steven would punch it with absolutely all of the boosted strength. One to see how strong it had reallymade him. In order to seriously fuck up his hand, so that he could watch the healing effect he was under as well.

Steven would smash the cabinet splintering the wood in multiple pieces and directions, as well as busting up the bone's in his hands scraping off some layers of skin. This time however with steam the wounds would slowly heal up until not even scar tissue remained.

Watching the wood break, and feeling not much pain as it broke his hand. He could feel the hand repair its self. That was when he knew that he wasn't going to be able to figure this out like he was. The strength, explainable other drugs could do it. The visual acuity, the tougher skin. He could think of explanation for them all. However the improved healing from broken bone, was insane even if slow, it was still impossible. Broken bone was something that took weeks if not months to heal.
Steven knew that his understanding, in fact the understanding of the medical field in general would not be able to explain such a thing. No matter of chemical composition, it wasn't how the body worked. Steven briefly entertained a though of magic, however would cut himself of. No to him magic was mental domination with a word, or throwing fireballs. This was just physical perfection, or as close to it as someone could hope.
Steven would approach his bookshelves. The other were eyeing him slightly worried that he hadn't spoke the entire time he had been under the effect of the fruit just working away and studying. There was only one example Steven could think of where such a concept existed. Oriental martial arts. They believe in a perfection of the energy in the body allow the body to do certain thing, to go pass what simple training alone could allow you to do. Steven would pull out every book in his collection about martial arts of any kind. Only about 20 in all, some English some Japanese.

Steven would find the many references in many different languages, cultures, and representations. However they all had the same exact thing in common. Chi, Ki, Qi, Chakra, Energy, whatever it called itself or was called by people. It was simply the highest form of understanding the flow of a person's own inner power. Some believed an extra outer source was needed, but most focused on personal understanding, a depth of knowledge and physical perfection.

Some believed an extra outer source was needed?
The realization in that fact would cause Steven to turn up from the pile of books and to look over at the fruit. Could someone really have done such a thing. Qi, Chi and all it's other names had never really been something Steven believe in. To him it was just a slightly more believable supernatural belief. Except there were hints in the world, and in non-fiction books that hinted at the possibility.
People lifting trucks off of crushed people, one armed in order to save there life. People surviving falls from planes and other such heigh which should not only kill, but if not leave cripple, only for them to come out unharmed. The people who even without being studied came up with the greatest concepts of science or mathematics on a whim, a sudden mental spark. Or Soldier who managed to see the glinting of a scope a mile away, and pull themselves or another out of harms way just in time.
Even Steven had to admit. His own past had an example of such broken limits. The wounds he survived, the length of time he had been left to bleed, by all rights he should have been dead. No man of his statue should have been able to claw on to life for so long that he could have been saved. He had to find out who had made this discovery.

From these realizations Steven would be able to realize and understand that the fruit was just a catalyst to put people in the right physical and mental state, the situation of the cafeteria erupting into the chaotic riot was the situation extreme needed to cause something like those a fore mentioned feats to happen.
Much like the exploding table before the alarm sounded.

"My god this is terrible."
Steven muttered to himself, the others looking at him worried at the word of his speaking at last. Steven knew, if this fruit was just something to make it easier, and the extreme event could puss people to the level they had been in the Cafeteria. How long would it be before other, like him figured out that event were not truly the fruit fault. But the person themselves potential unlocked. What if they unlocked it themselves. Steven saw a dark horizon in the future. Violence in the school would likely grow, if people discovered such potential.
Steven would have to warn someone.
"Guys weight here."
Steven would leave the house, even though school would have been over for the day, Steven wouldn't care. He would run to the school. Jogging all the way, until he reached the property. Climbing the gate to get in, Steven would head straight for the main building. He would be heading towards the headmasters office. However if he found another teacher on the way he would get their attention instead in order to talk to them about the Cafeteria and what it could mean for the school.
