A brand new group is on the making, The Apostles, a Pillar-like group led by none other than our brand new headmaster, Gregoire Girard. A student body that would lead students and enforce the law on this little school of ours. Little is still known about this student body, but who knows? It might just be what the school needs.

A lunch box is seen last Friday, around 12:37:08pm with an encouraging note packed inside. This appalling display that utterly lacked manliness has left many students stunned and outrage, as some decided, after a long while, to speak out against it.

Phoebe's concern about it was money. But, she didn't mention it. Money was pretty tight either way. Phoebe didn't interrupt, though, wanting him to just come out and say it. Generally...her patience was rewarded. And such was the case this time, too.
Any of her own concerns fled at his words. She'd tried to fill in where she could, how she could, but she still was aware that it wasn't exactly a family all the same. But, she also knew that her little brother loved her for it. So she wasn't insulted or even particularly upset, though there was a little bit of a jolt. She slowed them, this time, and turned him towards her.
"Hey, Allen...what did you mean by that..? Dad was gone before you could remember him. Even before I could..."

He scratched the back of his head.
"In moms room, on the top shelf of her closet, there is a small box with "throw aways" on it. Inside are a bunch of family photos and videos. I've been...watching them, since I was six. And things...seemed warmer. I mean with you, nothing has changed as much. I mean I'm sure you remember dad and are saddened by it, but you were still young. Mom and Aaron are both much older and they seemed so much happier. It felt like we were all...I don't know...much more of a family."
He glanced up at her.
"The only other thing that could have caused it was my birth. And I'd prefer if it wasn't that. So...I go with the next least painful idea. That he died, and part of my brother and mom died with him."

He was killing her. Phoebe's eyes widened. Throw aways? Photos and movies? That was bad enough, but it was his admission he thought his birth could have been what made things go wrong that really stabbed her heart. She blinked rapidly a few times, trying to keep from leaking any tears. But, she leaned down those five inches she had on him to look him in the eye.
When she spoke, it wasn't her normal cheerful self at the start. There was intensity there.
"Allen. You were just an innocent little baby. You're not to blame. Not at all, so don't even think for a second you are! You didn't give Dad cancer any more than you being born had an effect on what happened to us. Okay?" She shook her head and took a big breath, giving his shoulders a gentle shake. Her voice turned, starting to shift back to her normal upbeat tone. "Don't believe that little voice. 'cause it wasn't you. If dad could have beat the cancer...we'd be good. Things would be so different. But what's really important right now is we have one another."

He knew that. Or...at least some part of him did. There was still the little voice of down. He would offer up a reassuring smile, and sidestep to walk past her. Despite what she said, he saw the videos. And they didn't lie. Everyone kept smiling. Mom was home all the time while dad worked. Aaron was so excited when he was born. Now...everything was just mixed up. Aaron didn't even want to be around them. Mom was always gone on business trips. People thought he was just some careless teen but he knew what was really happening.
Dad died. Mom left home to stay busy so she wouldn't have to deal with it. Aaron? Same excuse. And Phoebe, who was absolutely awesome, was left to be the 17 year old adoptive mother. He couldn't help the thoughts he had.
"Sorry. You're right. I shouldn't have said anything."
He grinned.
"Lets go get some food, eh?"
He didn't know why he put the pressure on her. It wasn't like she didn't have enough to deal with without him piling more onto her plate. He would stick with her at home, if thats what she wanted. He sure as hell wasn't going to abandon her, of all people.

No no no! Bouncing forward, Phoebe spun to walk backwards in front of him, giving Allen a winning and reassuring smile, the tears banished.
"Noooo, no, no! I'd rather you say something than let it knock around in your head, Allen. That's...that's hard to deal with. We're here for each other, you know." With a pivot before she could run into anyone, she slipped back into step with him and lightly giggled. "By the way...your Canadian is showing~"
She grinned, clearly teasing.
"Next you're gonna tell me you want poutine!"

He rolled his eyes back in pleasure.
"Mmm....Poutine. If I thought there was ever a chance of getting some right now, I would ask for it, believe me."
He gave a broad grin. She always had a way of making him feel better. He didn't know how- it was like her magical power. She had the ability to turn anyone with a reasonable attitude into her best friend.

Score. Now she knew what she wanted to pick up to see him really smile.
Sometimes it was the little things. And mostly, that's what she stuck to. But c'mon, a little splurge on fries, a gravy mix, and...hm, mozzarella would be a good pick-me-up for both of them.
"Heehee~ Unfortunately, looks like we have to deal with whatever they have at the cafeteria...but it can't be that bad!"
She was actually kind of curious, and hummed a little tune under her breath. She would have said "race you!" but the halls were somewhat crowded again. No sense tempting another fight by running into someone.

Allen would grin.
"True. But still, whatever it is...it's not Poutine."
And that was just unacceptable. He would be required to make sure that was eaten for at least one meal this day, even if he had to drop by the store and pick some up on the way home from school.

Around the corner she would walk, directly in front of them. She held up her hands, indicating they should stop.
"Both of you started a fight today. It was not in self defense, as he threw the first blow."
She indicated Allen, then would look between them. Her eyes were rather cold, uncaring that the pair of them seemed to have no harm, or that everyone around her was staring at the three almost as if they were expecting some kind of mega-brawl to break out. Saya hoped not. She didn't want to hurt either of these individuals. Despite starting the fight, she knew the four they had put down and that it was probably instigated. Still...rules were rules.
"You both will be in detention. Don't make me come look for you."
She would wait for them to state that they would be doing so.

"Nope...it sure isn't." And, unable to help herself - she was pretty much squirming with the idea, anyway - she grinned. "We're gonna have a junk food night tonight. Poutine's on top of the list. What else?"
It wouldn't be too much, but, if they bought at that place, in bulk...they'd have extra, for later. Or other meals, different ones. Her exuberance was cut short by the teen that stepped around the corner and into their path. She jerked a little and stopped, more curious than worried. But she was surprised.
What? Who was she?
"...errrrr... Wait, sorry, who are you?" Literally, Phoebe had no clue. The question wasn't given in an insulting tone, but one of genuine apology and curiosity. She reached up, rubbing the back of her head with a sheepish expression.

Allen replied for Phoebe. His sister had just arrived, and wasn't at the assembly.
"It's First Pillar Saya Shinrai. She's second in command of the schools student Hierarchy."
Allen frowned. Anyone who watched that fight would know that they were just doing what they had to. He would clear his throat.
"Look...there were four of them. If we hadn't attacked first we would have risked getting jumped. We didn't have a choice."
Was there no bending of the rules for circumstances?

She stared at her, then back to the boy when he spoke. She didn't think they understood. She didn't care about the parameters of the situation. She didn't care that it was self defense. She cared that there were three men in the infirmary, and that she had to deal with tracking them down. That she spent the last fifteen minutes of her day cleaning up after them and that now she was getting gruff for it.
"I don't care. I'll see you in detention, classroom 304."
And, unless stopped, she would walk away!

First Pillar? Whoooaaaa! If it were possible for her wide green eyes to pop wider, they certainly did! She got to meet the First on her first day? That was a first! A smile broke her lips apart and she bounced forward in a skipped step, for all appearances bright eyed and bushy tailed. But she didn't raise her hands at all, even though she wanted to shake Saya's hand...there was no need to be seen as a threat.
"Hey! Nice to meet you." She came to a standstill, expression excited and, despite whatever disappointments that supper would be pushed back, not the least bit disturbed about the news. If Saya didn't think it was an attack, Phoebe would extend a hand, hoping for a handshake, her smile not straying away. "I'm Phoebe Hollows~ That's my little brother, Allen. I totally understand about the detention thing, I guess, so it's not a big deal~! Room three-oh-four, you said, right? We'll be there, don't worry."

Saya turned her eyes to the girl as she moved forward. The First Pillar was a generally defensive-turned-offensive fighter unless she otherwise had to be, and so didn't seem to flinch when the girl moved. However, when she spoke, her eyebrows came down a little. Damn, this girl seemed to have a little too much energy for Saya to feel comfortable with it.
She glanced down at the hand. Nobody offered her a handshake....what the hell was with this girl?
She looked back up at Phoebe.
"Saya. Forgive me if I don't shake hands."
And she would turn to leave!

Allen would take Phoebe's arm before she tried to go after her to continue her pep talk.
"Lets just let her go. She doesn't get any warmer sis, from what I have heard."
He knew his sister tried to make as many friends as possible, but from the rumors surrounding the fifteen year old Pillar, she didn't warm to making friends. And those who tried ended up hurt, either physically or mentally.
