Allen came in right after Phoebe.
"Sometimes, the only way to diffuse a situation and get out unharmed is pre-emptive attack. We were gonna be fighting them anyway, I just wanted to make sure we weren't the ones getting our asses kicked."
He half shrugged, returning to his seat next to his sister.

Jason listened to what the students had to say, he making mental notes as they explained what they did and why. He waited for the other students to join in the discussion but it seemed they were not interested. Jason turned to the girl who spoke up first. "While I do agree that what you did was better than attacking another student, I think it was for from the most reasonable choice of actions Miss Chaulet." He spoke in a friendly matter, he didn't want to berate or make the students feel uncomfortable. "The reasonable thing would be to go to a staff member and explain the situation to them. We could have assigned you a different locker or at the very least cleaned up the one you had. But now, since you broke that locker the school will be hesitant to provide you with another one because they assume you will break that one as well."
After that he would comment on the replies made by the Hollows siblings. "Pre-emptive self defense? That's a good strategy. I guess in this school, you may not have any other choice. But if there was another, less violent way to stop the fighting, would you take it or do you think violence can be stopped with more violence?" That was a question that Jason asked himself many times when he thought about how the school works. It would be great if he got the students' perspective on it.

Phoebe blinked. Maybe he hadn't heard her. Or maybe she hadn't been clear enough.
"Uh, well~! I said I tried to diffuse the situation, first—and by that I mean I tried talking to them to see if I could divert their intent. They, uh, wanted me to come with them. So, yes, sir. They just didn't want to cooperate with my attempts~"
She smiled. Maybe he had a long day! She hoped that cleared things up. And maybe she could have done it, but she wasn't about to lay blame on Allen for him beating the four to the punch, so to speak.

"Hmph!" Alice huffed, crossing her arms as she flicked her head to the side. "Garbage is garbage! Me pounding a locker that decrepit and gross is no different from stepping on used milk carton! Why does the school even have something that filthy in the building? It's their fault for not replacing it in the first place!"
Assigned her a different one? Please, if a run down, blood stained piece of scrap had been her first exposure to the lockers here, why would she even want one? She didn't want to dirty her belongings! It was outrageous!

Allen was pretty direct in his response.
"They were indicating intent to rape my sister and refused to go away, so I starting kicking their asses. Simple as that. Talking wasn't doing any good- if it did, of course we wouldn't have fought. But in this place, people listening to reason are hard to come by."
Allen would watch Mr. Harper with a clear gaze, uninhibited by fear or regret.
