Allen would approach the door to the Pillars office. He was...more than a little nervous. Though friends with his sister, Allen never really spent much time with her. He didn't know her at all. He knew that she had hurt her fair share of people though. He took a deep breath, wondering if her desire to befriend Phoebe extended to him.
He reached up, and knocked.
His green eyes fell to the floor as he swallowed, waiting for the pillar to answer.

"...come in."
Eyes dragged from her book up to the door.

And Allen walked inside!
"Uh....hey? You got a minute?"

"Several."
She made a gesture to the seat in front of her.

Allen walked fully inside, closing the door behind him. It was the first time he got a good look at the Pillars office- four bedrooms, a kitchen, and a main room. He knew they were letting her continue to live here, seeing as she was never beaten, and it was practically her home. He would take a seat on the couch next to her, glancing at the book before addressing one part of the reason he was here.
"I wanted to thank you for coming to see me in the Hospital. I know it was...probably weird, since we've not talked but...the gesture is appreciated."
He kept eye contact, making sure she understood he wasn't nervous or shy about things.

"You're welcome."
But to be honest, Saya went because he was Phoebe's brother.
Was that it? Saya wasn't exactly good at small talk. She was almost starting to regret inviting him inside.

Allen would take a deep breath, feeling a tightness in his chest as he continued.
"And second...I want to fight you. To...test myself."
He had yet to lose- truly lose to someone. He had to feel the bitter taste of defeat, and if he was going to go there he might as well go against the best and really feel what it's like to be put to rest.

Allen would scowl.
"You're a bit of a cold bitch, you know that, right?"
It was a title she had heard before, he was sure. He would sigh and stand.
"You could have more than one friend in the Hollows family, you know."

"Test yourself how."
She was giving him the opportunity to convince her because she cared little about pointless fights.

"I've never been beaten. Neither have you. I don't think you're that good, but everyone says you are so...I want to test myself by fighting you."
That was...partially true, right? Hopefully he would get to a point where he could get her to talk more but...from what he had seen so far, he doubted it.

That was not a good enough reason. Pointless fights like those? To test ones strength?
"You can leave."
She could have said that she only fought when necessary- like when the student body was being harassed, or when she was challenged for a title. But the last time she said that, the student challenged her without even really wanting her title.
She nodded her head toward the direction of the door. He could see his way out.

He stared down at her, then glanced at the door. He didn't want anyone else to hear him, and since she seemed rather cold, he figured she wasn't one to talk or care to talk about peoples thoughts.
"My brother and sister are both strong, and they had to sit at my bedside while i recovered from something as small as a knife wound. And every day, Phoebe might be taken by a gang and killed after weeks or months of torture. I have to get stronger, so I can protect them. If you don't want to help me, I'll find someone who will."
And he would move to do as she asked!

"...after school in the gym."
It bothered little to Saya if he heard her before he walked out. But she would be there.

Allen paused at the door, and let out a little breath.
So....the fight was on.
*****************************************************************
The final bell ringing couldn't come soon enough. As it blared through the class, he sat a while longer, the students piling out. He was staring down at his hands. The hands that had failed him, nearly getting him killed. He had grown strong since then but....it just wasn't enough. It always seemed like it would never be enough.
He would stand, sticking his books in his bag, and walk from the classroom. He made a B-line for the gym, entering it and revelling in out it cut out sound and cancelled his stress. He was here....so he was committed. He would set down his pack and pull out a water bottle, drinking from it for a moment before he would turn back and look for Saya.
If she wasn't there yet, he would stretch a little, though he didn't really need it considering he had done so that morning.
