(OOC: This is intended to be one of three closers for the Riot story arc. You may only join ONE of these threads at a time, but if the one you are in wraps up before the others, you may participate in the other threads to help the students win. Rewards will be the same regardless, but any additional fight EXP you earn in other threads is yours to keep.
I will be moving this thread forward at LEAST EVERY 24 HOURS, regardless of if everyone has posted or not. If you don't post, it's assumed the worst possible scenario happens if you're being attacked or otherwise. If everyone posts to the thread sooner, then the next round will begin much sooner. Please also only post ONCE per round.
This is an assault on AURA's headquarters, the MV-Phoenix. Although Kaiser sent a video broadcast to them, it's possible for anyone to join if they heard about Kaiser's challenge as word does travel. Note that Kaiser's NPCs are guarding the entry to the dock, so anyone not immediately on the ship will have to get through them first.
Please remember that just because you last longer than others, it doesn't mean your reward is automatically better. If someone goes only three rounds but goes down when they should, they'll get a better reward than someone who goes ten but keeps overplaying their stats in an attempt to stay in. I ask that everyone follows stats strictly and you remain in character. Participation is key.)
A group of six men would be stationed outside the entrance to the dock where the MV-Phoenix was situated. They would be guarding the area and making sure that no one showed up to ruin Kaiser's challenge as he approached the ship with a smirk on his face.
The white haired man stood outside the ship, quite a distance from the steps leading up, as he spread his arms open wide. He had sent another message to the ship just moments before his arrival:
"Dear AURA, I've decided to come sooner than planned! I felt like shaking things up a bit, and I grew oh-so-tired of waiting! So send your best and brightest at me so that they may be cut down in the most splendid fashion! I'll be waiting right outside your ship! But oh, please don't keep me waiting too long... Or I'll just have to come in there after you."
So now he waited. He was eager to see Shugo again, as well as his compatriots. He wanted to see what this newfound group was capable of achieving, or if they were just as weak as the Lightning Gang was. He felt that it wouldn't be all that fun with Mikey and Ty holding up potential fighters... but he figured he'd take what he could get.

"I expected as much." The blue haired boy would step out onto the top deck. He would be dressed in blue faded and torn skinny jeans held up by a grey belt. A form fitting green v-neck shirt could be seen under his black leather jacket and a strap atop his jacket led to his back where a skinny cylindrical bag kept something on his back. Around his neck, a pair of dog tags held clung close to his body, a gift from a close friend. Bringing everything together, the boy's Pillar gloves were strapped on, and for the first time in nearly a month, the boy wore his black half mask. "I've been waiting for you. And now, I'm going to put an end to you." Kaiser couldn't see it, but the boy was smiling under his mask. The same defiant eyes that angered Kaiser before would be looking at him again, but this time something else shone in them. A sense of power filled the aura surrounding the boy. His steps were made leisurely, but with meaning. Each step brought Shugo closer to Kaiser until he looked down at the man. Cocking his head to the side, Shugo decided to address Kaiser while waiting for him on the ship. "You were wrong about revenge though. That's not why I'm going to fight you." Vivi sat against one of the walls inside the ship, her knees drawn up to her chest and her forehead rested against them. She was still unsure of where her loyalties were, but she knew that Riot had to be dealt with, regardless. After hearing about Kaiser’s challenge to Aura she’d figured he might turn up around there at some point to challenge them. After all, he couldn't really expect them to come find him, right?
She wasn’t too worried about injury, that healed over time, but admittedly, she was little afraid to die. When she met Kaiser in the city, she hadn’t known he was the one who’d nearly killed Shugo. From what she’d seen and heard, it sounded like this guy seriously intended to kill them. All that set aside, the lives of her friends and the entirety of the students body were more important in her eyes. Sacrifices had to be made. After all, heroes were the ones who stepped up when everyone else backed down. Being a hero didn't mean glory and rewards, it meant paying a price. What that price would be, Vivi had yet to find out.
Then the broadcast came. Was he at the ship? Standing outside of it right now? Vivi knew Shugo was around, chances were he was probably already out on deck. The girl stood up and grabbed her wooden bokken she’d rested against the wall. Fortunately the thing was designed by Yuy Corp to withstand blows from other swords, so hopefully it’d last her a while. From what she heard, blunt force against this guy was key. ~ ~ ~
Vivi appeared on the deck, and her violet hues fell on Kaiser. He was there all right, as was Shugo. But was it just them against one of Riot’s top fighters? Shugo was a pillar, so that was something to go off of… but what was she? Just a high-schooler. Well, a high schooler with a goal. Perhaps that good do her some good. The girl didn't speak, instead she used her presence as a silent way of letting Shugo know she was there to support him.

Lexington was sitting atop a higher floor on the MV-Phoenix. Looking down he observed the gathering of guards, a white haired man stepped up and seemed to be issuing a challenge. "Tch, Donkey." Lex's comment was blunt. Turning to go back into the ship, he knew that leaving would be no easy chore. "what to pick.. what to pick.." It doesn't really take brains to know what to use for a cheap weapon when getting jumped. Lexington stood there and pondered the thought of using a weapon.. Then instead, he decided against it and went with a distractor. Only to try and preserve some energy. He proceeded to climb down the stairs as he descended closer to the entrance he stopped at the dining hall. Lex looked around and took the linen cover off of one of the dining tables. He wrapped the cloth around his waist like a waistband and he left it with a lot of slack.
"Now we roll.." Lexington left the dining hall and continued to the front. As he exited the front he stood at the top of the staircase. Eyeballing every hostile in the area. "I'm definitely going to git it today." He said to himself as he began to stretch out his arms, legs, back and neck. Getting real limber for a brawl. Once he finished Lex turned to the side to see Shugo and Vivi standing on the deck. "Let's see what this groups got.." Lex took a deep breath and waited.

Once again Mireli was exploring the ship that served as the Defender's HQ, familiarizing herself with the ins and outs until she knew it like the back of her hand. That was what she had done at Coney Island when her company first moved in. She needed to know all the exits, all the hiding places, all the secrets.
A broadcast came over the speakers, a shiver running down her spine as she recognized the voice. It was that Kaiser, the one who had challenged Shugo, the one who had almost killed him. He was here?! Issuing a challenge to the best and brightest so he could cut them down...not today. Not ever.
Miri ran up to the deck, looking around for signs of this Kaiser. Shugo was there, as was Vivi and a third boy Miri recognized as someone she had run in to before but she couldn't remember his name. Defenders, it was time to show them that they were chosen for a reason. Miri paled slightly, hoping that her novice ability wouldn't result in their failure. She would fight to the best of her ability, give her everything to defend her friends.

"You're going to put an end to me? That's cute. And if not for revenge, then what? Surely you're not pleased about me stabbing you... about my own blood mixing with yours. Why, we're practically blood brothers now."
Kaiser grinned. His men tried to step forward, but he held a hand up as a gesture for them to stop.
"No, these ones are mine. You make sure no one tries to get any sneak attacks in." He looked up to the ship, counting his opponents.
"One... two... three... four... that's it? I expected more of a welcome from this group of so-called Defenders. Oh well..." He placed his hands in his pockets, looking up towards them with those red eyes and continued to smirk. "So how about you come at me now? Give it everything you've got... so you die with no regrets."

“Sorry, I’ve already got a blood brother.”
I smirked under my mask narrowing my eyes at him. Looking past him, I saw and heard him speaking with other members of the Riot Gang. He wasn’t alone. I disregarded Kaiser’s cute comment, hoping to irritate him some with my disregard for him. I turned my head away from Kaiser, ignoring him and looked over to Mireli and Lexington. Throwing Mireli my phone, I’d speak to the two of them.
“Mir, hit the center button on the phone twice and tell it to send a message to the group “AURA.” Have the message say that Kaiser’s attacking the Phoenix. Let all of them know to keep a look out for the other Riot Members. Lex, you feel like you and Mir can take care of those mooks up there? Vivi, you know the plan.”
I did a few arm circles as I spoke to the group looking at Mir and Lex before turning to Vivi. Vivi and I had planned for this. We were to take turns fighting Kaiser. I decided to go first to give her some time to learn his fighting style. I wanted her to watch my moves to see what worked against him and what didn’t. I also wanted to tire him out a little so that it would be easier for Vivi to fight him. Walking down towards Kaiser, and stopping in front of him, my hand on the bag across my back, I pulled the top open to reveal a hilt.
“Back to your question… I’m fighting you because I’m going to kill you.”
The words came out cold and with a sense of detachment. They were carried out with determination though, and if Kaiser looked in my eyes, he would be able to see I wasn't joking. I pulled what appeared to be a wooden sword out of the thin cloth bag, holding it out to my right side. I narrowed my eyes, and pulled the sword in a horizontal slash aiming at Kaiser’s left knee with my right hand. If the blow hit, he would realize that it wasn’t a simple wooden sword. No this was a metal practice sword. No edge, but a large amount of weight behind it in order to cause blunt force damage. I wanted to goad him into pulling out those blood swords. I planned on forcing him to suffer internal bleeding in order to make him lose focus on the swords. If I forced him to use his trump card right away, I figured I stood a better chance.

Lexington rewrapped the sheets around him and fit it on his body like a toga. The teen looked over to Mireli and gave her a friendly nod. "No problem man, we've got these guys" Lexington cracked his knuckles and began to descend the stairs and jogged over towards the group of guards.
"Alright so like, if you guys could just beat each other up. That'd be greeeat." He knew they weren't going to leave, but hey there was no harm in asking. Lexington took count of all six guards, he continued looking around and hoped Mireli would be somewhere close for aid. If not, Lex was down to have fun in a 1 v 6 brawl.

Mireli was thankful that he gave her the instruction on how to send the message. She didn't own a cell phone of her own, so navigating the device was difficult. She took the device from him and touched the center button twice. It beeped, a squiggly line going across the screen.
"Send a message to AURA." It beeped again, bringing up a screen that had the name AURA at the top and a white square beneath it. "Attention, the Kaiser is attacking the Phoenix. Keep an eye out for other Riot members." She hit the button again and it sent, maybe. If that is what the green check mark meant.
She tucked the phone in her pocket, as Shugo was antagonizing the Kaiser. She clenched and unclenched her knuckles, looking to alex as he faced off against six guards. She stepped up with him, evening out the odds the slightest bit.

“Right. You’ve got this, man," Vivi nodded sharply after Shugo finished speaking.
The plan… she didn’t really like the idea of him taking on Kaiser alone. Then again, he wasn’t truly alone, was he? She’d have to play close attention the fight, and hopefully pick up on some of Kaiser’s habits and weaknesses… if the guy even had any. Vivi leaned against the railing of the ship and watched him walk down toward Kaiser. The kid was brave… after being wounded within an inch of his life by this guy, Shugo didn’t back down, he was in it to finish this.
It would be difficult to bring herself to face Kaiser as well, but Vivi knew all she needed was twenty seconds of insane courage. Just twenty seconds of ridiculous bravery. She could do this… But the question was, could she do it and get out alive? Only time would tell.
“You’ve got this…” she murmured once more.
Vivi glanced back in time to see Mireli and Lex squaring off against six of Kaiser’s goons. If things got ugly for them, she might have to step in to give them a hand.

Kaiser watched as Shugo made his way down, grinning at Shugo's bold proclamation. He placed his hands in his pockets, not taking his eyes off of his opponent. He felt completely different than their last couple of encounters, and that pleased the Riot Leader.
"Kill me? Oh, I hope you're serious..."
As Shugo brought his weapon out, Kaiser would take a step back and avoid it completely, spinning on his left heel and bringing his right foot down in an axe kick aimed towards Shugo's head quickly. Whether it hit or not, Kaiser would speak again.
"Because I've never fought an opponent who pushed me to my limit yet... I guarantee you, if you see my full strength, you'll be begging for death."
Lexington would encounter Kaiser's goons, and one of them would approach with a baseball bat, swinging it down at his head. Mireli would have another guy charging at her, aiming to tackle her to the ground. The other four stayed where they were, not expecting much out of these fighters.

Post by Zoe on Apr 4, 2015 17:53:25 GMT -5
Today she'd get away from the insanity that was her new school. She'd be going to preform with some other students from her previous school at a yacht. They had been asked to play at the even several months ago, before her incident with her brother. So, despite temporarily not being a student of the school, Zoe was still expected to show up. While the thought of having to be around her old classmates made her nervous, she knew this would be a good chance to show her teachers that she still belonged at the Academy.
So, Zoe did up her make up and hair like she use to. At the Academy, she had taken such care to fix her hair and appearance. After all, she was much poorer than all the other students. So, she was always disadvantaged. If she let her guard down, even appearance wise, they would have eaten her alive. When she transferred to the new school, Zoe had been grateful for one thing: She didn't have to put on such an heir. In a school like that, it was best to keep her glasses on and just look plain.
When Zoe stepped out of the Girl's home she lived in, she felt out of place once more. The home was in one of the more run down neighborhoods, so in her dress, coat and make up, she looked lost. Keeping her head down, Zoe continued to walk in silence. She had to get to the docks where she was meeting the boat to take her out to the yacht. So, tucking her violin case under her arm, she quickly made her way through the streets.
A look of frustration came across her face as she noticed the men guarding the entrance to the dock. They didn't look friendly. Approaching them, they'd make it very clear she wasn't going to get on the dock that way. Sighing, she moved to walk down the road some. However, she noticed several people on the dock. The guards would turn as a familiar white haired man and the others on the docks. Biting down on her lower lip, Zoe turned back to the docks. She couldn't let the chance to show her teachers she still belonged at the academy slip away! This performance was important for her future!
So, the girl would hug her violin case tightly as she tried to sneak past the guards towards the end of the dock where the blue haired man and the white haired one were. She could see them fighting, but at this point, Zoe was willing to hide on the edge on the edge of the docks until the boat got there. Current Appearance:

"Shut up and fight."
As Shugo's sword missed his target, he would already begin changing his tactics. Kaiser spinning would give away the intent of an attack. Was he just fucking with him? Shugo was fighting to save his friends, and was Kaiser just thinking this was a joke? The boy's resolve to kill the man grew as something erupted inside of him. As Kaiser's foot came up, Shugo's eyes would change. The pupils dilated as the iris's grew larger in size. The boy's body would move in and to his right by a small amount. As he stepped in to Kaiser, Shugo would bring his sword up at Kaiser's diaphragm rapidly in a diagonal motion. The attack wasn't a slash, but a strike. He aimed to fore his sword in Kaiser's diaphragm and cause blunt damage. However, in the race between Shugo's sword and Kaiser's foot, Shugo would lose. The boy's movements would cause Kaiser's ankle to slam down on his left shoulder luckily instead of his head. 1.
He had mitigated some of the pain from the attack by redirecting it's target. He would force his attack through the remaining pain, his sword was en route to land into Kaiser's diaphragm if it wasn't stopped. Had the sword landed on it's mark, Shugo wouldn't stop. The boy would throw three swift punches into Kaiser's stomach from his left arm, the one that Kaiser had just injured some. As he made the punches, the boy would push forward, closing the distance between himself and Kaiser even more, forcing Kaiser's right leg to rise higher if it stayed on his shoulder. The boy would finish off his assault by attempting slam his right foot into Kaiser's ankle.

Lexington held onto the shoulder part of the the toga that was wrapped around his right shoulder. The teen watched the man approach with his baseball bat. As the guard swings the baseball bat, Lexington pulled the shoulder linen causing it to unravel the toga, he used the sheet to wrap the baseball bat and bring it down to waist level. Next he rams the head of the baseball forward causing the handle to slam into the guards stomach. Lex pulls the bat back and takes it from the guard. Finally he swings the bat and cracks the guard in the jaw. Probably shattering his jaw. "HAH, TAKE THAT

Zoe would successfully manage to sneak by the guards, as they were too focused on Lexington and Mireli right now.
Mireli would unfortunately be tackled by the guy previously going for her, he knocked her to the ground and was getting ready to start punching her in the face.
Lexington would dispatch his foe with ease, the strike to the jaw sending him flying over and crashing into some crates. However, those crates would break and reveal Zoe trying to sneak past. Two of them decided to move towards her slowly, convinced she was another one of AURA's troops (as they weren't too smart.) Another guy was headed for Lex, swinging a chain at him from Lex's right side, aimed for his face.
The last Riot member was panicking, worried that everyone would overpower them. He was starting to dial a number on his phone to call for backup.
Shugo's strike to Kaiser's stomach would succeed, causing Kaiser to move backwards with Shugo. As Shugo continued his assault, Kaiser would jump and bring his other foot up, kicking Shugo as hard and fast as he could in order to get away and clear some distance between the two, sliding along the crowd now, a bit of blood trickling from his lip.
"Not bad... you've improved..." He said, that grin back on his face. His removed just his left arm from his pockets, staring Shugo down. "This will be more fun than I thought... so come at me again, why don't you?"
