A brand new group is on the making, The Apostles, a Pillar-like group led by none other than our brand new headmaster, Gregoire Girard. A student body that would lead students and enforce the law on this little school of ours. Little is still known about this student body, but who knows? It might just be what the school needs.

A lunch box is seen last Friday, around 12:37:08pm with an encouraging note packed inside. This appalling display that utterly lacked manliness has left many students stunned and outrage, as some decided, after a long while, to speak out against it.

Some few hours after school had wrapped up, Kenji found himself returning to the gym. He'd already gone home for the day and deposited his things, but before he could settle in for the afternoon, he'd developed the urge to work out and be active instead. It might be foolhardy to do such a thing in the rest of the city, but at least in 552 itself, he'd come to have certain expectations of what might happen if he chose to hang around and work on himself.
Also, he'd heard that the gym was open after hours, for free.
Thus was how Kenji had come to return to school and venture into the gym, wearing naught but a short-sleeved shirt and jeans, so as not to dirty his nicer clothes. There were a few other students in the gymnasium, some running laps, others doing sit-ups or push-ups, and the rest simply hanging out on the bleachers while talking or watching the rest. Kenji isolated himself in a corner of the gym and started with a few sets of push-ups, occasionally looking around mid-workout or during his break to see if anything of interest was happening.

Sage has been in the gym since the end of lunch time. He's wearing a light blue tee-shirt and white shorts, with dark blue trim. He also has his large black glasses on, covering up his eyes. When he arrived, he put his belongings on the bleachers near the basketball hoop. He spends a fair amount of time stretching to make sure he won't get injured.
After prep, Sage gets a basketball he took from the supply closet. He practices dribbling by himself for a few minutes, then suddenly starts to move towards the hoop. He's fairly fast, but the astonishing thing is that he manages to dunk the ball in, even with his short stature. Releasing his hands from the edge of the hoop, he looks around calmly and picks up the ball.
He runs a hand through his hair as he goes to the center line. He dribbles the ball a few more times, then gets in a shooting position, and lets go of the ball. It goes in a fairly high arc, but it goes into the hoop perfectly, not even touching the rim.

"I'm not moving," Punch. "from this bag," Punch. "anytime soon." Punch. "So quit asking." Carrisa stepped from her position in front of a punching bag and frowned at the other male student who kept asking for a turn at the bag.
He sighed and stormed off to the bleachers, awaiting a turn that probably wouldn't come. Carissa went back to punching the bag, red boxing gloves on, kicking it here and there. She had on a black sports bra and red sweatpants, along with a pair of old white sneakers with paint stains all over them. Her stringy, red ponytail swung back and forth with every hit she gave the punching bag.
Eventually Carissa gave up and ventured away, and rolled her emerald eyes, as the male who'd been bothering her earlier jumped with joy and ran over to the training spot. The ball that Sage had shot made a swish, and Carissa was walking under the net when it happened. Why? Who knows... but she was there and the basketball made contact with her head. It bounced and rolled off her head, over to the sidelines. Carissa took a look at Sage and glared at him in an annoyed fashion.
Carissa took a look up, and mentally face-palmed when she noticed she was right under the basket. Taking off her boxers gloves, Carissa picked up the ball, and chucked it to Sage.
"Sorry, mate. I wasn't looking where I was going. Umm... Good hoop?" Carissa had no idea how to play basketball, or what you would call a swish, so she attempted with her best shot to compliment him. Carissa decided to just walk away and forget the whole ordeal.
Upon collecting her things, another student working out was in her way. What was he doing? Push-ups?
"Get out of my way. Why aren't you working out on the mats," she pointed to another place in the gym where various students had gathered. "like a normal student?" Carissa shoved her gloves in her gym bag and waiting for Kenji to move so she could pick up her camera laying on the bleachers.

As Kenji worked out, he overheard a bouncing noise over the droning across the rest of the gymnasium. He glanced up to see a boy of short stature and cute blonde hair dribbling a basketball, then take an impressive dunk despite his aformentioned height. To follow up, the boy shortly after managed a center line shot, to which Kenji whistled in approval. That was something he enjoyed seeing: someone's dedication to a sport or hobby paying off. Looking back down at the floor, he continued on with a new set of push-ups.
It wasn't long after that - toward the end of his next set, infact - that Kenji registered footsteps trodding in his direction, then pausing nearby. "Get out of my way. Why aren't you working out on the mats," the newcomer began, and as Kenji looked up midway through her inquiry, he could see that she dressed and carried herself much like a boxer, "like a normal student?" She then deposited her gloves and seemed to be waiting for him to move.
Chuckling, Kenji held his posture for a few more moments while responding, "I simply can't get into it as well if I'm exercising on a soft surface. It's hard for me to describe." With a quiet grunt, he pushed himself off the floor and onto his feet in a clean motion, then scratched his neck, offering a smile. "I'm sorry if I've inconvenienced you, miss."

As Sage shot the ball he noticed a girl walk under the hoop. "Oops..." She seemed rather angry, glaring at him, but then stopped and walked over. When she threw the ball over he caught it with one hand. He laughs lightly at the next statement, his laugh sounds rather musical, maybe he sings? "Rather then good hoop, it would be good throw." He smiles. "But thanks, I appreciate it."
He watches her leave and go yell at some other student about not being on a mat. "Now really, why does she care?" He walks over slowly over and started to hear the conversation. Adjusting his glasses slightly he tilts his head and looks at the two. "There's really no need to fight over something this petty." He turns to the girl. "I don't really see what he's doing that bothers you."

Carissa was surprised that Kenji had responded that way. Usually people thought she was being rude, when really, it just seemed that way. She offered him a small, small smile and nodded in his direction, standing to her full height and from the cowering position. "Nah, you haven't. I was just curious is all."
The photographer was just about to give the stranger her name, when the student who'd shot the ball earlier, approached them. "We weren't fighting and I don't know why you would think that." Carissa shifted her emerald eyes over to Kenji. "I asked him a question, and he answered it." She answered very monotonously, pulling her camera from the bleachers, pulling the strap over her neck.
"My name's Carissa. There's no need to ever call me miss. I don't act like one, and never will. What about you guys? Humor me by saying your names."

With the intervention of the basketball runt whom he had earlier observed, Kenji chuckled again. The boy had thought they were fighting and came to stop it. While his belief was misguided, it was a pleasant thought that more people in this city seemed to have commendable hearts. And so onward did the conversation proceed, with Carissa introducing herself and, to Kenji's unvoiced amusement, stated that she would never act like a lady.
Nodding, the easterner returned the introduction, addressing both her and the blonde. "My name's Kenji, Miyamoto Kenji. What about you, hoopster?"

Sage smiles as it doesn't seem they are fighting about anything anymore. He spins the basketball on his finger while listening to the introductions. He laughs lightly at Kenji's comment. "My name is Sage Honeysett." He puts on an adorable smile. "It's nice meeting you two." He stops spinning the ball and just grabs it in his hands. "Any of you play any sports?"

"Sports? They're a waste of time and athletes get paid too much. But no, no I don't. I prefer art, any form of it. Much more interesting and meaningful, ya know?" Carissa complained about sports, scrunching up her nose in disgust, before answering the question.
"Used to play rugby in Armidale with the other kids. Real fun sometimes..." She stared at the basketball in utter confusion, not having an idea about any other sports, than the ones she played in Australia. "Every now and then I'll get some shots of people playing sports, though."

"I like sports now and then. I've played my share of basketball, racquet sports, and I don't think I'm too bad with a baseball bat. Wouldn't want to do any of those professionally, though; I have different passions," Kenji explained, following Sage's question and Carissa's own response.
Speaking of which, he glanced back over at the apparent boxer, curious about what she had said of herself. "Incidentally, you mentioned Armidale. You wouldn't be from Australia, would you?" Kenji paused, clasping his hands behind his back as he waited on her.

Sage listens to the two talk, mildly interested in the conversation. He wilts a bit at Carissa's response, but everyone has there own opinions. Kenji had a more interesting response, at least for him. He smiled to himself as he imagined himself literally destroying Kenji, though he kept it to himself. Well not really sure what to say he just listens to the both of them conversing. He's a bit intrigued where the girl came from, but not enough to ask about it himself.
He tilts his head as he gets a bit bored of the conversation. Waiting for a pause he decides to leave. "Hey, I'm just going to go to the cafeteria to get a drink, so I'll see you guys later~" He walks away to the bleachers on the other side of the gym and gets his stuff together.

"Oh yeah, I lived in Australia for a long time, born there even." Carissa replied to Kenji. She offered a small wave to Sage, who'd decided to live her alone with the other student. "I wasn't born there, but it's my home. Wish I could be back there but New York is interesting too... I guess. The food and landscape just doesn't compare."
Carissa clicked her tongue, changing the accent from Australian to Californian. "But my Australian accent isn't my only accent." Californian went back to Australian. "I just prefer Australian. It sounds bad-ass and my voice doesn't resemble a snooty rich girl." She said, referring to her original accent.
The photographer pulled her camera up, aiming for Kenji. "Smile for me. Unless you don't want to smile in your picture." And whether or not he male replied by following her orders, Carissa would snap the picture, before placing the camera back on the bleachers.
"Well, we're in a gym, wanna do something? I'm bored out of my mind, and usually I'd leave, but you've proven to be worth the time."

Kenji nodded and politely waved to Sage as he chose to exit stage left from the conversation. He then returned his full attention to Carissa, listening along with interest as she detailed her birthplace and, to his amusement, her proficiency in switching accents at the drop of a hat. Chuckling as she proclaimed her preference for the down-under accent as opposed to one that sounded like a 'snooty rich girl,' Kenji pondered briefly how common that sort of talent was, outside of celebrities and ventriloquists.
The boxer seemed to also be a photographer, as she brought a camera up and commanded him to smile. Seeing no reason not to, the easterner looked into the capture lens and presented a small but genuine smile, waiting for the click and/or flash before relaxing again. At that point, his new acquaintance asked if he wanted to do something, emphasizing her boredom. Seeing as his routine had been interrupted - no offense meant to Carissa, mind you - Kenji did need something else productive to do, and she seemed to be offering something to that effect. "Sure, I'm game. What did you have in mind?"

Carissa cracked her knuckles, grinning, while furrowing her eyebrows in an amused way. "How about... We duel?" She tightened her ponytail and flicked the bangs from her face, but of course that didn't work, seeing as the strands of red hair only fell back into place. "I mean... I haven't had one-on-one practice in a long time. And it's way better than fighting a dummy or punching a bag. I'll get to learn your style while you learn mine."
Carissa's emerald eyes glimmered with excitement and curiosity, this would be fun, but only if Kenji agreed.

Kenji was both amused and pleasantly surprised when Carissa recommended that they duel. He hadn't heard a single thing about dueling since he left Japan, leading him to wonder if such a thing was a concept in the west anymore, though it seemed as if his worries had been resolved. Carissa's following speech made him think of it more as a sparring match, but even so, he was alright with it. This was the kind of scenario where Kenji could cut loose and test himself at the same time, without needing to wait for troublemakers like he'd been doing since he arrived. A proper, satisfying match.
Offering a grin of his own, Kenji's eyes seemed to flash with a steely hue. "Yeah, I like that idea. I've been dying for some one-on-one since I got here. Any stipulations? Like no head shots or below the belt, that sort of thing?" Kenji did want to know what was and wasn't allowed before he went into an agreed spar or duel, after all.
