The year was 2020 when everything went to hell. A shortage of oil led to a fight among politicians around the world inevitably leading to an economic collapse within many countries around the world. Civil unrest occurred and within a short period of time, martial law was in effect and in order to stay alive governments of the world needed support. The governments relied on megacorporations to stay afloat during these times and in exchange, the corporations were given full power to operate how they’d like.

Now with the government as a figurehead and formality, these corporations were able to create their own cities. Dynaco did just that. Seizing the land using money from their lucrative oil business, they created “New Liberty”. This new city attracted people with promises of cheap housing and an untapped environment for entrepreneurs. In order to police the new city, Dynaco bought out a private security company and renamed it “Dynaco Contractors”, using them as a police force shortly after.
For whatever reason, you ended up here and have to deal with Dynaco as your new government, and mercenaries as your friendly neighbourhood watch… Enjoy.

Maybe your eyes are cyberoptic with a recording function and the latest iris tint, or your hearing is "boosted" to better hear the gossip in the executive lounge.
