History: A man fueled by nothing but his own greed, the Gambler has a reputation that has set him up to seem like nothing more than a myth, or urban legend. No one knows who he really is, and few people actually believe he exist. Of the handful of people who have run into the Gambler in their lives, they've all told accounts of vastly different stories. Some spoke of a benevolent man who helped them live long enough to see their grandchildren grow up, where others speak of a foul being who would rip the life from his prey while wearing a smile on his face.
Stats:
Str: 30
Dex: 30
Con: 30
Wis: 30(40)
Int: 130(150)
Qi:
T1 - Kinetic Card
The Gambler's deck of trick cards is made of a special material that can withstand his innate abilities. He can infuse these cards with kinetic energy, launching three out in front of himself in a cone. Cards deal damage equal to 1/2 his Int, and return to him after use.
T2 - Pick Your Poison
The Gambler picks one of three special cards from his deck to strike his opponent down with. Each of these card types do damage equal to 1/2 his Int, as well as provide their own additional effect. DELAYED ACTIVATION: The ability is used in one post, the card is thrown in the next.
Blue - Restores 5 int of Qi use. Can be used in any pool.
Red - The card "explodes," dealing area of effect damage to all enemies within five yards of the opponent. Splash damage is equal to 1/4 the Gambler's Int.
Yellow - The opponent is rooted if struck by the card. They may still act in their post, but a barrier is formed around them, preventing a) them from moving more than one yard from their current spot, and b) any more qi or ability items being used on them for the round. No one outside the barrier can enter, and no one inside may leave, until it is gone.
T3 - Ace Up Your Sleeve
Passively, when using any Qi ability, Gambler gains +5 Dex for that round - only applicable to attacking. Every fourth Qi ability, Gambler gains an empowered use of Kinetic Card. This empowered use does Kinetic Card's base damage, plus an additional 1/2 Int. Once all T3 uses have been exhausted, the passive expires.
T4 - Peek-A-Boo
In one post where Gambler takes no action - not even moving - he may reveal any and all parties in the area (within 100 yards of himself) for the round. For one additional use, he may teleport to any area within that 100 yards, if he remains still for one additional round and takes no offensive action.
T5 - Let's Trade
The Gambler can take anything from, or give anything to, any person of his choosing, provided he has a binding contract (be it verbal, physical, paper, etc). This can range from something as mundane and material as money or possessions, to physical changes like height, hair and eye color and accents, to even qi abilities. One trade per 25 int.
Items:
1 - Trickster's Deck +10 Int
A standard set of cards, only much more unique. Normally, these cards appear like any other. However, when the Gambler has need of it, he can change how the cards appear at any given moment. The change can be as simple as turning an Ace of Speeds into a Queen of Hearts, or something slightly more extreme, as turning it into a pocket knife. The card itself does not change, however, only its appearance - meaning even if it appears as though the Gambler is holding a knife, it will will feel like any standard card. One change per 5 int.
2 - Seer's Contacts +10 Wis
The Gambler, through the use of the Seer's Contacts, can see peoples' Qi if they are within a five yard radius of himself. These Contacts need to be activated to work, and in doing every person without a Qi appears as a fuzzy haze, where those with Qi appear normally. One post per 5 int.
3 - Limit Breaker + 10 Int
A tattoo spread across the back of the Gambler's shoulders, the Limit Breaker is said to be ancient ritual markings that release one's true potential. This removes the limit on the Qi the Gambler can obtain, meaning he can have more than 10 total abilities, and any number of abilities in any tier he chooses. The catch, however, is he may not purchase Qi abilities with QP. Instead, the only way he may obtain them is through taking them from other characters.
