TAG ▪ care for a game? N ikko carefully lifted up the wine glass and smiled mischievously at his opponent. He was in one of New York City's biggest casinos and having a fair game of blackjack. Of course this game was luck based, but there was a fair amount of strategy involved. He looked to the right at a large stack of chips, which could be traded in for cash when one leaves the casino. Nikko was fairly confident in his ability to read the cards and his opponent as he waved his hand at the dealer to begin the round.
The young British male was an unusual sight, not just because of his unique hair style, but also his clothing. He wore a dark purple with white lace dress that looked like it belonged in the Renaissance. In addition he was escorted around by a butler who's purpose was to make sure Nikko didn't run into too much trouble.
The first card was a four. It wasn't the best card that could have fallen, but it was low, so he scrapped the card against the table to signal that he wanted another. This time it was a seven which was in Nikko's favor. He then made the signal of placing more chips just outside the betting box, then pointing to it. The final card came down and revealed a face value. Meanwhile the opponent was having a very similar debate in his head, but he wasn't that good at a poker face, since he happened to be unconsciously sweating along his brow.
Game ending within the half hour, Nikko got up and turned to the butler. "I'm thinking of getting another drink now, shall we?" With that they walked towards the bar, the butler making way for Nikko.

Steven would have been at the bar ordering himself another drink for the night. It had been awhile since he had last done some gamberling. Normally he tended towers poker. However the fact that Steven gambled might have surprised some of the people he knew. However the little thrill it gave was alot safer the fight for his life against people like riot or fear.
Steven would have been gestrued aside by the butler trying to make room for Nikko. Steven would examine him, the clothes said female, however Steven had made that fuck up in the past with another guy in another game. What odd councidence that he would meet another such person and there to be gamberling around. If only this one was slightlest less violent then the last one.

S itting down in the seat his butler had made way for, Nikko would wait until he had the bartender's attention. "I would fancy a mint julep please" As he waited for his drink he would run his pale fingers through his soft hair, making sure there was nothing wrong with it. Afterwards he would look in Steven's direction just out of curiosity of who was near him. He would get his drink and let Kyler pay for it. With him preoccupied he would get off the stool and wander away and deeper into the casino. He was very fond of gambling and wanted to continue his conquest as soon as possible. The butler had an easy time finding him, now at a slots machine. It seems the boy was quite popular as a worker came over to ask if he might join a game. Agreeing to it, he walked with the man to the roulette area. He took a seat in one of the empty spots and then waited for his opponents as he sipped on his new drink.

Steven would await his own drink, a whiskey and coke as per usual, and take a seat at a bar stool. Planning to drink peacefully for now. He would spend awhile drinking, during the time that Nikko had been using the slot, before an attractive women, clothes meant to leave thing to the imagination but also reveal would come up to him. The women would manage to convince Steven away from the bar after getting a second drink to move over to a roulette table and join in.
Steven once he reached the table, had been about to walk away when he spotted the guy with his butler from before at the table, wanting to not tempt fate, but the women would take his arm, and with words that made Steven blush convince him to stay. I buy into the game.

N ikko watches people sit or stand around to join in the game. Unlike poker, you aren't pitted right against certain people, but this is more a game of luck. Though the goal is always winning, it's making sure to win the high bets with the most odds against you, but having luck in still coming out on top. He noticed Steven get drawn into the game with one of the servers, however, which piqued his interest was that this guy seemed rather out of place, from his clothes and all the way to the way he held himself. He thought it would be rather funny to be able to humiliate this guy, but it's really what luck has in store for them. After acquiring some chips he puts in a bet for the second column. It was a rather safe bet, but he wanted to gauge his opponent's strategies before making a big move. The roulette was a standard American one, and there were eleven people playing, including the two of them.

As the game started, Steven would see Nikko looking him over as the dress wearing boy sized up the fact he didn't look like he fit in. However Steven would ignore his look and would slam a bet on the Third 12 section of the roulette table.
Steven would see the bet coming in and then the ball would start to spin. Spinning his drink, in the hand that the women held, Steven would blush again, as he watched the table intently. The ball would skip and jump along the roulette wheel and then it would come down and land in one of the section of the wheel. "34 Red." The tables croupier would call out, and with a rack pull in the bets that had lost, including Nikko's while Steven's bet would be doubled.

N ikko watched the ball spin into action and sighed rather irritably when he lost. He could feel the eyes of his butler on him to make sure he didn't do anything rash, but a small bet like this wouldn't bother him.
Quickly he made two single bets. One on three and the other on seven. He wasn't a big fan of this game, considering it was all chance and even if the ball landed on every number but one, that didn't guarantee it would land on the remaining one.
He turned to Steven and smiled slightly, though in his eyes a brewing fire was flaring up. "My my, It seems lady luck is on y'r side." He had a fairly thick accent that showed he probably was foreign. Though once everyone bet again, he noticed they were mostly more conservative. Thinking to himself, he really wondered why Steven was here, he may even want to get his name. Taking a quick glance away from the wheel he saw a group of friends who seemed to be celebrating another friend turning of age. He clenched his fists by his side and almost ended up shaking as his vision was going in and out. Nikko hated those kinds of people and wished he could just kill them off and play his games in peace.

Steven would go for single bets as well, three of them in fact. 1, 36 and 13, each was next to each on the wheel and Steven was hoping that from the position the wheel was starting from when the man spun it and sent the ball into that it would land in that general area. Steven would turn to Nikko when he spoke and smiled at him.
"Indeed it does..." Wait there was something about Nikko voice. "Are you British by any chance?" Steven would ask him, his own accent while not thick like Nikko's, did place him as Englishmen with an education to his voice. Something that didn't match his informal appearance. Not posh exactly, but sort of a middle ground between it and a Londoner's accent.
The ball would spin, and then land in one of the pockets of the wheel "24 Black." The man would say taking in the losing bet, which included both Steven and Nikko. "Well you win some you lose some." Steven would mutter.

N iikko turned to Steven who asked a question. Oh well it would seem he asked about nationality, but he wondered why. It wasn't that he wasn't going to answer, but usually that might not be the perfect conversation starter,"Yes, I m British might I ask if thou r as well?" He would wait for an answer then he watched as he lost again. Irritated he starts to drum his fingers on the table. Finally he just picks the numbers one and seventeen. He wonders if he will win at all and maybe it would be better to have just kept his first choice. But the bets were already in and there's no turning back. This man intrigued Nikko. He was rather shabby, but seemed to know his place around the casino. He wondered what this guy did for a living, though the time would present itself later when it would be time to ask. If he lost for the third time this night, he would sigh and jump off the stool to go play a game that was more strategic. He didn't have time for games of pure luck. Of course he just wanted to play until he forgot everything, just be immersed with the illusion of his colorful night.

Steven would smile when Nikko answered his question and would respone to the confirmation and flipped question. "Yeah I am British, English specifically." He said calmly spinning his drink and placing down a couple of bets of his own.
3 and 7, Nikko's previous bets. Steven didn't believe in luck nor that previous out comes meant anything to tje later ones. He understood probabilities, and knew that any other single bet had the same odds.
"20 black." Yet another losing bet for them both.

A ngry that he lost, Nikko would stomp away from the game. He is walking over to play blackjack again when someone bumps into him. Already irritated by his loss he pushes the person hard, enough to make them stumble. The man he pushed was confused, then pissed that he was pushed by such a weak little child. Actually it was weird that there was a child even in the casino. "Watch where you're going little boy." He would then walk away, but not before Nikko could trip him over. Then being himself, he just sat right on top of this man. By now he was causing a scene."Dae not ye tell me what to dae punk. I bet ye could not even beat me in poker." The man scowls and soon they are at a table, all eyes on them. It was not a light game at all; the air was filled with tension. It was just a one hand game. There was really no bet, though at the same time there was. No one wanted to be the looser. The cards were dealt and Nikko got himself two aces. Feeling rather confident he stayed in and just watched the other. That's when he saw the guy look at the dealer with a nod as to put the next cards down.It was hardly noticeable, but the dealer actually skipped the first card and put the second card down instead. A form of cheating no less, but Nikko wasn't paying much attention to that.

Steven would watch his last bet float away as the man racked away across the table and would turn at the sound of heavy foot falls as Nikko stormed away. He then turned to the table intending to carrying on playing at the game, when there was suddenly more noise due to the altercation between Nikko and the man he had collided with. Steven would hear the challenge and would head over. The women at the table trying to keep him there, but failing and letting him go.
Steven would watch the card being played, when suddenly his eyes would spot something that was out of place. Sleight of hand being used in order to cheat by the dealer, skipping a card as the dealing was going on, a big no no in any poker game. However what to do? Really he should point out the cheating, but how could he prove it. They could easily deny the accusation if he didn't have a way of proving how the card were mark to allow the dealer to deal knowing which card was which.
Ahh what the hell, cheat himself. Steven would reach into his pocket and small speck of grit, just a small tiny piece of stone really near impossible to see. He would then dip the speak into a bottle of water on his person and flick a drop of water containing the speck unseen at the card that had been dealt by cheating.
With his mind, Steven would force the drop of water which would gain no notice from being small enough and clear that seeing it would be insane, to then score a faint X in the corner of the card. Steven would then move. Dropping down next to the guy Nikko was meant to be playing and putt a hand on the man's shoulder. Steven would speak in a loud loud voice. "Can you tell me why you just shared a knowing nod with the dealer, and then got double dealt a marked card." Steven would almost shout, snatching the card in question away and rolling as the man tried to snatch at him.
Steven would then hold up the card to some of the onlookers as well as Nikko, the X in the corner clear enough for them to see. This did not go down well with the patrons, and no doubt it would go down well with the owners as well, except maybe for different reasons.
