SOCIAL BEHAVIOR
THE INTROVERTED DEVIL
The first and foremost attribute one may notice about this troubled teen is his ice cold demeanor. It can be quite the frustrating first experience. He is brash, insulting, can be downright unapproachable at times. Ty isn't very fond of strangers, and generally leaves the task of "making new friends" up to the very few people who've managed to pierce through his thick skin. Ty is a boy who finds solitude and peace within himself; being by himself. Yet he does enjoy the company of his very close circle at times. Despite his introverted tendencies, Ty can be extremely antagonistic towards virtually any and everyone, especially toward his family and friends. This being of course being a result of his inability to express his true feelings, thus he simply lashes out and antagonizes the people around him. It is his own twisted way of motivating and loving them. Another key attribute contributes in his character is his ambition. There is absolutely no lack of it in this boy and as a result displays strong leadership capabilities. He portrays extremely awkward charisma about him, despite his painfully abrasive and unapproachable attitude. Perhaps the charisma roots from the fact that once a person does break through the seemingly impenetrable shell, Ty places his complete and utter trust into the person, which is everything to this boy and rare. The people closest to him most likely stick around because of the one redeeming quality that the emotions for them burn bright, and he would do anything for them. When it comes to someone he is attracted to, Ty isn't the smoothest operator but not terrible either. While incredibly bashful on the inside, he tries to use his "coolness" to cover it up. To summarize: An extremely tough shell of a man shoving down mountains of baggage and emotion.
Fighting Style:
JEET KUNE DO - BASIC NINJUTSU
Ty actually started training at the very early age of 6 in the art form of Ninjutsu. However, displaying his rebellious nature at very early age towards a father that was hardly there in the first place, he converted at the age of 11, and began to learn under one of his father's old triad friends, a master of Jeet Kune Do. While his little brother Musashi continued his Ninjutsu training, Ty decided to completely go off the grid and delve into a Chinese Kung Fu style. This of course at first set his father off, but after some convincing from his mother and father's friend, his father allowed him to continue his training in the foreign style. The basis of Ty's fighting style is to strike fast, accurately, and adapt to any situation. "Be Like Water" is perhaps the ultimate philosophy of the fighting style. "Being Like Water" allows Ty to calmly evade and flow with an assault from his enemy, like a peaceful stream, or beat down aggressively like the waves of a tsunami. Though Ty prefers this style of fighting, he realizes that Ninjutsu also has its perks that are not taught in Jeet Kune Do. With the combination of the two, Ty has proved to be a very deadly opponent in combat. His father could not help but to be proud.

BIOGRAPHY
MEMOIR OF A MISUNDERSTOOD DEVIL
The first born son to Tyashi and Talia Hattori is one kid with an interesting story indeed. His father was full blooded native of Tokyo, Japan while his mother was born in New York to an Irish woman and an African American man. Ty's parents met one day when Talia moved from New York to Tokyo to escape the dangers of the great melting pot, little did she know she was trading one danger for another. Saving Talia from sudden death at the hands of a group of petty muggers one day, Tyashi and Talia soon fell in love and created their first born, Ty Hattori. Following soon behind him would be his little brother, Musashi. Ty was practically raised by the streets of Tokyo, despite having both of his parents in the household. His father being heavily involved with the Triads in Japan obviously contributed to this. His mother often tried her hardest to keep Ty from a life on the streets, but to no avail. She would have a bit more success with his brother Musashi, however, but the two often found themselves in trouble, Musashi being the better of the two. An outsider looking in could say that Musashi takes after the tough sensitivity of Talia, and Ty of the hard love of his father. Due to the "family business", Ty and Musashi received home schooling for virtually half of their lives. Their lives were incredibly busy, bouncing from their combat training, to their education, to the streets, to their social lives, to girls. The boys forcefully became excellent multi-taskers.
Perhaps the reason Ty took up from his father so much is the reason he was always at odds with him. At odds about his father's decision making in terms of the family and why the family simply could not run away from their lives. Ty at the time barely understood the complexity of organized crime. He thought his father a weak man trying to impose strong practices on his sons. And for this, Ty often rebelled. His earliest staging of rebellion being the boy taking up Jeet Kune Do instead of practicing his family's tradition of Ninjutsu. Ty often scolded Musashi for continuing Ninjutsu, calling him "just as weak as their father". Ty grew up a radical and harsh boy, but cared for his family despite his reservations and beliefs. Ty often found himself defending his little brother in street fights, even taking beatings for him. Talia often scolded the siblings for getting into trouble, only to praise them for always having each other's back. Ty always replied, "I have his back. He tries to have mine."
Tyashi's gangster lifestyle would eventually catch up with him. Tyashi always had the plan to move his family back to New York to escape this life. His plan almost came to true until the man was apprehended by a U.S. government agency a year before the boys came of high school age. Ty and his family were told that his father was killed on the streets. His brother and his mother seemed to realize this fate was inevitable, but Ty cried for his father. The boy swore never to shed tears again, vowing to be strong for his family. Stronger than his father ever was. Talia scraped up what (illegal) funds they had left over from Tyashi and moved her family back to New York. At least she could start anew there. She could work hard, get her sons through school and move to a much nicer neighborhood. This obviously meant she could no longer home school the boys and therefore sent them off to public school for the first time in their lives. The boys would be sophomores when they started. Talia tried to send the boys to one of the better schools in New York, Public High School 122. Ty, in attempt to help his mother decided to comply. Believing that if he could escape his father's legacy he could save his brother and mother. Musashi, however tired of living under his Ty's shadow decided against PHS 122, and went to a different school despite his mother's wishes.
Ty and Musashi fought constantly about this dilemma, often leading to actual fist fights with one another, until one day Musashi said something that got through the stubborn brain of his brother. "I have to forge my own path now. Like you did away from dad." Ty would never admit it verbally, but he knew the fool was right. He let his brother go. Ty's school was much further away, therefore he was sent to live with his uncle, Rocket, a pretty successful business owner. Rocket and Talia absolutely despised one another, but Rocket owed Talia a big favor. Rocket was never home, so it worked out for Ty; they stayed out of one another's way. At his new school, Ty of course came in as the troubled kid from the streets in the midst of hundreds of rich kids. His first day was an encounter with a gang of preps who tried to bully the boy. This of course, simply was not going to happen. On this day, Ty received his nickname, Nine, for getting into approximately nine fights in one week, each day starting at nine, with nine different boys, and he managed to put all nine in the hospital. The boy was suspended from the school quickly. Upon his return, he'd made a relatively solid reputation for himself and was able to stay out of trouble, up until the very last day of school. All nine of those prep boys returned, out for revenge. It was to be the biggest brawl of the school's history: Ty's gang he had accumulated over the year against The Preps of the school.
After facing expulsion from the school, Ty is to join his little brother at PHS 552. A notorious school for notorious little delinquents. Nor Musashi or Talia have any idea that Ty is being shipped off to this school, for Ty still lives with his uncle. Public High School 552. It would seem the boy was doomed to his father's path after all. A school crawling with gang warfare and violence. Could he possibly survive and save his family in this special kind of hell?
OLD BUSINESS AND NEW ENEMIES
Following the events of the great 552 Pillar Battle, in which the entire school erupted into a monsoon of chaos and violence to fill four simple titles, Ty carried his brother out of the school and left him in the care of their mother Talia. Naturally Talia scolded the eldest Hattori brother for not protecting his brother and constantly warning him that he had his father's ambition in him and that it'd get their entire family killed. Though at the very same time, Talia understood that the school they attended was dangerous, and it was ultimately an eat or be eaten situation. The woman broke down in the middle of her attack on her oldest son. She simply did not understand why they couldn't escape the persistent violence that plagued their lives. The only thing the red haired devil could utter to his mother was a simple: "I'll get us out." Silence fell over the room and the Hattori mother went to care for the badly injured Musashi. Though the circumstances were less than desirable, it felt good that the three of them were together like this again. It'd been a long time. Ty knew he needed to see her and be with her more, but he was simply too busy. Busy trying to make the best life he could for a family that only knew violence. And the only way he knew how was through the ways of his father. Talia, still clearly perturbed broke the silence and began nurturing her eldest son as well. Offering him something to eat. Ty explained what was happening at their school, and Talia understood as best a mother could. "Well, you can't let rats overrun it." Ty was happy she understood. But why wouldn't she? She married a gangster after all.
Talia then explained that before Ty could continue with his plans and ambition, he had to settle some old business for their family. Their father owed a favor that had never been fulfilled before he passed. A favor to some very dangerous people. And naturally those dangerous people had decided they wanted to pass on the responsibility to the remaining family members. They knew what Tyashi's sons were capable of. They had threatened to come after the Hattoris if they didn't work off their debt, and naturally Ty knew the burden was his to bare. Both Ty and his mother agreed that they should keep Musashi in school and Ty be the one to travel back to Tokyo to deal with the mess while Musashi continued to deal with the crap at 552. Building a base, increasing their power. Getting the Hattori name on the streets. It was simple, and thus the eldest Hattori boy complied.
He caught a plane back to Tokyo over the next couple of days and was picked up by his new debtor. A Yakuza mobster who went by the name of Ning. Ning explained to Ty that his father owed him a certain amount of money and was prepared to pay it back in full. But right before this could happen, Tyashi's tragic "accident" occurred. Ty bluntly stated that he didn't have any money. Ning laughed at the boy. This was not new information to the Yakuza. Ning explained that though his father owed him, they were still good friends. And so naturally he wanted to offer Ty a different method of repaying his debt. It was simple, truly. The old neighborhood they stayed in had been completely overrun by a small time gang of high school punks. Small time, but they packed a pretty decent punch and the Yakuza forces were spread much too thin dealing with bigger fish to send men to deal with it. The neighborhood was important because it was one of the safest routes for transporting "goods", and this high school outfit had been hitting their caravans, making it exceedingly difficult to pass through what used to be theirs. The punks realized they were in the middle of a war and didn't have time to deal with them, so it was almost to easy. He figured Ty would love the opportunity to liberate his old neighborhood while fulfilling his father's debt at the same time. Ning even went through the trouble to gather the remaining members of Ty's old Tokyo gang for him to help him sort out the mess.
Ty did still possess an emotional attachment to the place. He felt it was his duty to help these people he cared for so dearly. After being reunited with a few members of his old gang, they explained that their families aren't safe and there wasn't much they could do since Tyashi had died. Many of them had either gotten out, were killed, or simply joined up with the new gang. The red haired devil had been happy to go to war with these bastards. After months of guerrilla tactics and brawls in the streets of Tokyo, the young Hattori managed to lead his friends to victory and reclaim the neighborhood. It wasn't easy. Some of his old friends he had to fight against, some of them re-joined. It all eventually led to a final showdown with their leader. A towering and very large young man whom Ty battle alone. In the fight, the Hattori sustained a broken arm injury, but nonetheless, he put the brute down and into a coma, and drove the rest of his supporters out of the neighborhood. It felt great to be back into the saddle this way once again, but the victory was short lived. Ty knew he had to get back to New York and help his brother claim what was rightfully theirs: their freedom.
He said his goodbyes to his old allies. Ning, estatic with Ty's work, bought the boy a plane ticket back to the Big Apple ----
"Stay in touch." The older mobster stated to Ty. "Don't hold your breath. We're done for good. Do not threaten my family again or I will liberate you next." Ty remarked. Ning could only laugh. "Your empty threats are cute, boy. Witty. The truth is, we could never be done with each other, Ty. Why, we're practically family, you know?" Ty shifted uncomfortably. The hazel hues narrowed as he stared down into the stumpy man's soul. "You don't know anything." Yet another bellowing laugh from the man. "On the contrary, son. I know plenty. But I can confidently say that there is much you know nothing about... Even about your own daddy." And with that, the man rolled his window up and drove off, leaving the boy at the airport. The words snaked throughout his body, chilling his very soul. What exactly did Ning mean? Ty knew everything there was to know about his father... Right?
PRESENT DAY
The Hattori's flight has finally touched down. His uncle Rocket even picked him up from the airport. His right arm in a cast the boy was finally back. Now it was time to make his return. To obtain true freedom...
