We're in the same game Just different levels. Dealing with the same hell; just different devils.
The tournament Terra had entered was honestly for the lack of better word a bit lackluster to the bluenette. The first arena had some kind of potential to be interesting however her opponent well was high as a kite and easily choked out by her. Didn't even put up a fight. That left a sour taste in her mouth. The finale's was also what she had not expected. The arena was a simple glass cube with muck inside. Terra couldn't figure how was that a finale type battleground. Maybe she expected too much from the place. She was used to training in different conditions and surfaces. She was used to fighting in cage matches where the risk were high. Brutality was more than welcomed. But sadly she didn't get that however her last opponent a girl named Abel at least provided Terra with a laugh.
She was honestly a little impressed by the girl. Abel seemed to just be going through life and the simplest things gave her some kind of joy. Well that was what the half Russian beauty gathered from their little encounter. Abel was probably the saving grace of the tournament for Terra. Though a fight was a fight and she didn't want to do it but she had broken the girl's ankle. She warned her but the girl was tenacious and squirmed hard enough for the ankle to snap. Honestly Terra felt a little bad about that just a enough. When she almost drown the girl who then began eating the muck which naturally made her woozy, Terra agreed to go get some food after all was said and done. That dinner outing was more of an 'sorry' at this point.
After showering and changing to some street clothes: a simple black jacket, dark blue tank top and black cargo pant. Her hair styled in a particular way that seemed neat and messy (Look at Avatar for style). Terra had done the style so much that it was natural and pure muscle memory to repeat. She had her lip piercing back in that was absent from the tournament. She made her way to the medical bay. A promise was a promise in Terra's eyes and despite not actually saying 'I promise' she still felt inclined to keep their arrangement. Finding where Abel was Terra would approach the girl calmly. Giving off a warmth that many said she often gave. A smile graced her face while for now her hands remained in her pocket.
"Hey.. How's the ankle?"
Terra would glance down to Abel's ankle and then back up continuing.
"Still feeling up for some food? My treat."

Abel was being wheeled down on a stretcher to a first aid room after she broke her ankle in the final round. The tournament left Abel with a satisfying feeling knowing that she had tried her best. Managing to go in second place, she recollected about what happened to take her mind off her throbbing ankle. On the first round she somehow managed to win, and maybe busted someone's groin in the process. Good times. Then onto the second round, which had less then stellar results. Try as she may have, she couldn't land a single hit on her opponent. And to top that she broke her ankle, not that she minded. P.E was a drag anyway and she could just work out with Cain anytime. Either way she had tons of fun during the tournament. Abel had managed to brush out most of the muck in her hair, and had washed up and changed in the medical room. She wore similar clothing, just jeans and a spare red shirt. Lying down on her back, she heard someone come near her. Sitting upwards and smiling when the girl she just fought, terra, came to visit her. 'How sweet' she smiled to herself and waved her hand. "The ankle? It's fine! What's an ankle anyway?" She said optimistically. At the mention of food her stomach growled and grumbled hungerly. "Oh, ye-ah!! Always up for some good grub terra! Thanks! But I can pay too!" She grinned Terra Alianovna Dryagin

~This girl.~
Terra thought to herself noting how much of a glowing smile Abel still had plastered on herself after it all. It wasn't like she was the first person she had come across that was somewhat in that way. Ecko for example had a certain exuberance about herself as well, but Terra more than anyone knew about Ecko's serious side. Those intimate moments no one ever truly got to see. But Abel for some reason gave her though similar in some ways a little different vibe as well. Terra from their brief encounter was grabbing a vibe of innocence from the girl. Innocence was hard to keep in the world.
Now for a brief moment Terra was a little baffled and most uncertain if the red head was joking or not. Did she not know what the names of her own body parts were? Basic human anatomy? Now she hadn't even struck the girl during the match technically aside from throwing her against the glass to cause a concussion. Did her munching on that muck have a side effect or maybe she just really didn't know? Terra didn't want to judge but something was off however for now she would just oblige in answering by pointing to the broken ankle.
"The joint that connects your leg and foot which I broke."
Technically speaking Abel had broken it with her brave attempt to get out of Terra's hold but Terra placed her in that situation to begin with. Hearing the overabundance of joy Abel exuded about food the bluenette smiled again and shook her head.
"I beat you can but I got this one ok? Like I said my treat it's the least I can do. "
Terra eyed the nearby wall that had a pair of crutches. She had a small feeling that the girl probably rather attempt to walk on her own then have herself wheeled about. Once retrieving the crutches she came back to Abel and handed them over to her.
"Here you go.. Let's get some real food in that tummy. Your choice. McDonald's, pizza, some all you can eat buffet anything you like."
Once the red head was ready to go Terra would walk along side her leading them out of the facility and to her car where she would open the passenger side for Abel to get in. Once she was settled Terra would walk around and get into the driver's seat and set off for their destination, whatever it was.

Abel frowned slightly at Terra's response, figuring out that an ankle was indeed important. Glad that Terra pointed them out so she didn't have to ask Cain about ankles, he was probably too busy in his state of crying to ask her. Testing the ankle out she somehow managed to roll her foot around, and the pain she felt was exsqusite. Ding! A mental image of pop tarts popping out of a toaster apparated into her mind. Clenching her teeth and biting back tears. Beginning to laugh out of spite of her ankle and how much a little bone could cause so much pain, Abel smiled and nodded in relief as she got the crutches, though she was still laughing her head off through all the pain. Hobbling out with Terra to her car, which Abel took a few moments to marvel in amazement. 'So cool!' She thought excitedly. Hopping in, but gently placing her crutches to the side of the inside of the car, Abel considered some different food options for a brief few moments. "There's a pretty good fast food joint downtown, is that ok?" She asked Tags: Terra Alianovna Dryagin

"I wouldn't - yeah."
Terra attempted to warn Abel not to try and rotate her ankle considering but was cut short by the girls sudden laughter. Odd. Was she a masochist? Or maybe it was just how she dealt with pain? The red head was honestly catching Terra's attention greatly. She didn't know what an ankle was which must've prompted her to test some kind of theory out. Now she was having a case of the giggles. You'd think she was harped up on laughing gas. But now she was beginning to question why wasn't it in a cast? If she had one on she wouldn't have been able to attempt it. Did she come before they were able to? No. She was sure there was ample enough time. Perhaps they simply didn't care or were incompetent.
For now she had given Abel the crutches and lead her out of the forsaken place. She smiled as she held the door open noticing the girl's look of admiration of her car. The interior was just as nice. The blue strip that deleted the left front of the car mimicked itself inside with a strip on her seat and the one behind.
"Sounds like a plan. Just tell me where exactly."
Terra exited the parking out and made her way towards Downtown Manhattan. It would probably take them a bit considering the good ol' New York City traffic decided tonight would be a great idea to get a little backed up. She should've known better than to take the way she did but once it moved up just enough she would change her course and take some different paths. For now they could have a little small talk right? Terra was honestly still concerned about the ankle especially it not being properly cast.
"How come they didn't put a cast on it? Did you refuse? Cause that wouldn't have been wise.. I feel inclined to take you the hospital first and have that taken care of but hospital food is the worse and I'm certain you're starving."
She paused momentarily wondering if she should ask her following question or not. She was curious about Abel but she decided to ask maybe later in the evening. instead she placed a small hint of authority in her tone. Intentions were not to sound commanding per say but for Abel to understand Terra was not taking no for an answer and she was genuine in her concern.
"So for now we can eat but we're gonna get that ankle squared away."

Abel was still giggling a little bit when the car exited the building, and was still just as amazed at the car. Her toddler level attention span was diverted from the car and back onto her friend. Abel hadn't even asked for a cast, she was just pulled up to the doctor's room for her to change and clean up, nothing more nothing less. Questioning the professionalism of the tournament, a concerned yet somewhat comical look appears on her face "Yeah...pretty weird. They just plopped me down and left. But hey..." She trailed off after hearing the certain tone of authority of Terra. "Y-yes mom! Ma'm?! Terra!" The redhead said as she mock saluted at the mama bear next to her "Er, the place is a few blocks down, turn left at the next stop sign and then go down that road." She smiled, trying to imitate a gps lady. Abel was feeing pretty excited considering her broken ankle, and couldn't wait to tell Cain all about this when she got home "So where do you go to school? Any likes or interests?" She continued, trying to make some more small talk. Terra Alianovna Dryagin mama bear lol that's great!! XD

~Just plopped her down and left? What kind of - even where I normally go besides enough medical attention. They wouldn't have been that incompetent.~
Terra made a choice to keep her thoughts to herself on that stand point one being she didn't want the girl questioning about where she frequently fought at. That was one of the few secrets she somehow managed to keep hush from her little brother and preferred it to be as such. The place was much more violent than others. It was practically like a blood sport even so much to allowing weaponry. This tournament she had thrown herself into just didn't hold a candle the way she hoped. Maybe she just had bad luck regarding her arena's and first opponent. At least her second was amusing and now they were getting dinner. The girls little response got Terra's eyes to glance from the side as a smirk formed on her face.
"I get that a lot."
She referred mostly to the whole 'mom' thing. The blue haired girl had her moments of motherly like displays. It's just something that came natural her from taking care of Nico so much. Someone had to be the more mature responsible one and besides as the older sibling it was obvious who. Listening to the instructions by her new GPS once this city traffic move up just enough Terra took a chance and zipped past like she shouldn't have and made the turn like told. Terra never pretended to be a complete rule follower after all. Terra would follow the strip until Abel told her either where to turn or pointed out the place. In the meantime she indulged the red heads inquiry but before flicked on some music. It wasn't to drown the girl out but Terra didn't really like complete silence too much regardless of the chit chatter, a little music was always nice. Using the volume button on her steering wheel she made it wasn't too loud nor too low but a perfect pitch so they would be able to talk evenly.
"Five five two. I'm guessing you do as well considering the participants all seemed to hail from it... I have a few likes and interest music being one of them.. What about you?"
Sure she could've answered with more insight but she chose not to for now at least. Surely it would continue to come up in casual conversation and such.

Looking into the distance and still having her smile painted on her face, she wasn't that surprised when her friend said she was called mom a lot. She was a tough sparring opponent and a fierce competition, but there was another side, a nice, firm but loving personality coming from her. And Abel could relate wih her little brother, considering all of the crying he did. It might of seemed far off and impossible, but Abel could be grown up when it was necessary. Abel was hopping around mentally all over. After her question the music turned turned on, which was a catchy tune indeed. Trying to quietly hum to the best while listening to Terra's response, she was actually pretty excited to see a fellow 552er "Music is pretty great. And 552 is certainly something. But hey, when you stab your father, it's apparently a crime, even if your father was an asshole, but hey, as long as my brother won't get hurt by him, I'm fine with that." She smiled a little sarcastic, a little sad, and a bit ironically. Terra Alianovna Dryagin

We're in the same game Just different levels. Dealing with the same hell; just different devils.
Lightly her head bobbed to the music as her thumbs tapped on the steering wheel rhythmically. One of the few instruments that Terra played was the drums which she was now imitating with the beat of the song. The funny thing about Terra mentioning that she went to 552 was the simple fact her nor Nico had stepped a real foot inside it's walls outside of registering. A little unlike the usually responsible big sister but things happen. Some things needed further taking care of and all. But that didn't mean she didn't hear all the rumors or at least enough of them considering she knew a few that attended.
When Abel continued to speak bringing up the clear reason she was sent to this supposed school for delinquents to struck home with the Russian beauty. It wasn't because it was Terra's reason for being at that school no Terra choose that but the concept behind what Abel said. She felt the story was probably not unlike her own. Those green hues stayed on the road ahead a quiet aura passing over her for a few moments. She felt a small tightness form in her chest hearing Abel's words that forced a memory into Terra's mind. Terra too had 'daddy' issues but she didn't know if Abel's was to the extent of hers, still every time she thought about it her blood boiled over. Her mother abandoned them. Their father wanted to take out his rage but Terra never allowed it to be on Nico. No she took the force of his abuse unknowingly to Nico.
She would never blame him ever for it was her choice. Maybe she also felt it was her duty to protect him from such wrath. Nevertheless Terra to did something to her father and one of his friends that made her flee the home; find Nico and leave. That led into being in their uncles care and dawning the last name Dryagin as oppose to Romanoff. It also led the young Russian girl down a path honestly there seemed to be no turning back from. There was just something inside that allowed it all. Something she couldn't explain nor did she really want to accept. But they still seemed different from one another despite the mild similarity in their background. Terra blinked away her thoughts and glanced over to the girl beside her finally catching the look on her face. These were the times she wished she was a little more peppy like Ecko or hell Ecko was around to throw her over energetic self into the mix and shake it up.
"I suppose that would do it.. I don't know what happened exactly but you did what you needed to.. Essentially you're safe now."
Abel would feel a gentle hand on her shoulder as Terra stopped at a stop sign briefly offering the girl a warm smile. Was Abel truly safe? Terra didn't really know because she had no details however she could still offer something encouraging. Taking back her hand she started driving again and would continue until Abel told her otherwise unless the red head took Terra's new suggestion.
"Ya know what. I think there's a Dairy Queen not to far from here. If you want we can go there and get some ice cream on top of it all."
She was trying to change the mood because no one wanted to think about depressing things. And ice cream didn't sound all that bad considering. Maybe she thought it'd cheer the gil up too.

Even though Abel brought up her reason for being at the school causally, it seemed to resonate with her friend pretty well, and a grim mood began to set in, but Abel barely noticed. She was too busy thinking about her brother. Is he really safe? The damage that already happened... Guilt began to form on Abel's face and an uncharacteristic sadness was distinctly shown. "I-I tried to stop him from Hurting Cain...but I couldnt...n-now he's never going to be the same....dammit...." She said softly, feeling all of her mistakes crawling back up on her. She wanted to cry, or scream, or something to vent all of her frustration of not being able to protect her brother from all the harm that came their way. Sure she was able to take most of the hits and blows, but it still wasn't enough. Before she could think about more of her mistakes, a hand was placed on her shoulder. To next to her, she was met with a comforting smile, as if to say 'everything was going to be ok, don't worry'. Abel smiled back, feeling her heart rate slow down, and the weight on her chest lifted up. Taking a deep breath in and a deep breath out, she relaxed once more and nodded her head. "Yeah...it's over...we're safe.." She repeated slowly, forcing herself to believe that it was all over, which it was. At the idea of ice cream, Abel smiled and nodded her head eagerly. "Yeah! Ice cream sounds great!" She smiled, almost back to her perky old self Tags: Terra Alianovna Dryagin

We're in the same game Just different levels. Dealing with the same hell; just different devils.
Some days Terra surprised herself how well she kept everything together. She didn't emulate a coldness like others would instead she somehow managed to create a warmth in this frozen tundra of a world. However when push came to shove that heat became hotter and less comforting. Something else controlled and fueled her deep within during those times. Those moments Terra's mindset, her goals were only catering to one. Luckily Abel hadn't gotten Terra to that point where all that mattered was placing hurt upon the person before her. The Russian beauty could never describe the feeling well enough to comprehend it herself, nor did she want to admit any rush or thrill that came from it.
Terra's intentions were not to cause the red head beside her any grief, however Abel was unaware of how much of a home run she struck with her. When she exclaimed about her inability to protect her brother Terra couldn't completely share the same sentiment though it was her fear. Fear that she would fail at protecting him when he needed her the most. So many times she had tried convincing herself wholeheartedly that she really couldn't protect him all the time. She couldn't always be his guardian angel watching over his every move. She tried she really did but she just couldn't be everywhere he was all the time. He needed his space to grow and learn as she needed hers. Terra only managed to sway her own thoughts partially in that regard.
Despite Abel's small outburst of sorrow and understandable self doubt it appeared Terra's simple smile and hand of reassurance eased the girl down. Good, it was a start. While Abel settled back into her seat Terra drove offering another smile and chuckle at Abel's perkiness to the idea of ice cream.
"Heh, Dairy Queen it is."
The girl had to be roughly the same age as she but she still felt like she was dealing with a small innocent child. A child who's innocence was slightly smeared by the dark corners of the universe. But she still tried to maintain her smile and nature. She reminded her of Ecko a little in that regard however there was a time that it was so hard for Ecko to bounce back. A time where she was trying so hard to hold onto her smile and joy. Terra knew the peppy pig tailed brunette still struggled deep within but she was doing much better now than she had many months ago. How did Terra ever manage to find herself being a mama bear to so many people? Well maybe just maybe one day if it was permitted and graced upon her she would be a good mother. Mentally she shook her head at the thought focusing back on the task. It wouldn't take too long just about ten minutes or so before they reached they're destination. Luck again on their side as she managed to actually find a parking spot just across from the establishment. Let's face it finding parking in NYC? Good luck.
"Here we go. Let me get your door."
Exiting the car Terra gingerly walked around the front and opened the door to allow Abel to use her crutches and get out - if need be she would offer a helping hand. Once Abel was out the door would be closed behind and Terra would proceed to cross the street making sure to walk at a pace that kept her in line with her new acquaintance; finding it rude to walk fast and far ahead of her. Reaching the door of the DQ again Terra opened it for Abel to stroll in first with the bluenette following right behind as they headed to wait on the line. It wasn't terribly long but it was a popular place booming even at that hour.
"Order whatever you want ok? And no more sad faces tonight huh... So how about once we get our food we just have a conversation about whatever?"
And once they ordered they would end up sitting and waiting for their food since DQ was that rare fast food place that actually provided seated services. Though Terra would allow Abel to choose where they sat.

Abel smiled and embarrassingly wiped away all the tears from her face. She felt better and more reassured that everything was over. Their father wasn't going to come back. he was dead, and Abel was getting stronger. She smiled at the mama bear next to her, and wondered how Terra could be so patient with her, and came to a self realization how much of a handful she could be. Deciding that she would give at least a small try to acting more mature, she exhaled and gave another smile at terra. Seeing their incredible luck with finding decent parking, Abel politely thanked terra, took her hand, and hobbled out. But when she got out, she somehow managed to trip on her ankle and fall to the ground. Wobbling up back to her foot with a goofy grin, she hobbled alongside her new friend across the road to the Dairy Queen. When they got inside the building, Abel looked all around the menu up towards the ceiling, mainly focused on all the ice cream she could feast on. Deciding on just a small frosty, she placed her order and gave a nod to Terra. "yeah, no more crying or frowns! The past is gone, yeah!" she smiled (and hooted) and hobbled over to their seating. She neatly placed her crutches on the side of her. it didn't take too long for the food to come, and abel began to munch on her ice cream happily, enjoying the frosty goodness, not to mention she almost forgot about her previous conversation she had previously, and her cheerful demeanor returned. The only detail that was present to show that she was crying was the slightly red tint by her eyes. "so terra, Brothers, right? you hate them sometimes, but at the end of the day, you just gotta love them." she grinned Terra Alianovna Dryagin

We're in the same game Just different levels. Dealing with the same hell; just different devils.
Terra was pleased Abel started to calm down. She didn't want the ginger beside her to be filled with sorrow for the duration of the night. No one wanted to live day by day only thinking about their pain. Unless they were a sadist and enjoyed the comfort of it. The Russian beauty knew all about past turmoils. Trials and tribulations. Every day there was something Terra had to live with. There was even a point she had gotten real real low but enough of the violins.
As Abel got out the car Terra initially thought all was well until the girl tripped and fell. Terra was usually more perceptive and quicker than that but she didn't catch the girl in time. As she went to assist Abel rose to her feet with a silly grin and though Terra perked a brow wondering if she was truly ok, she knew Abel was fine. Well sorta. They were going to get that ankle fixed up ASAP. No ifs ands or buts about it. Inside the establishment both girls placed their orders with Terra paying. Abel made her chuckle with her antics as they made their way to a table. Terra being the gentleman kind person pulled her chair out to make it easier for her.
Ice cream goodness arrived shortly after they seated. Terra took the spoon and swirled around the contents of her Blizzard, making sure all the oreo pieces were throughout. All this talk about brothers made Terra wonder what Nico had been up to at this hour. The little lovely brat was always on her mind not just because she cared but cause he was always getting himself into trouble. Taking a scoop, enjoying the delectable flavors enticing her taste buds before granting a response revealing she had a brother.
"Heh, hate him? No. Dislike like him and wanna ring his little neck on the occasion? Yes.. But that's the sibling's job to be annoying to the other right? I'm sure both of ours are somewhere saying the same about us... I bet I know what mines would be saying right now..'Shes always trying to make me do stuff like laundry and cleaning up the house. All I wanna do is go skateboard but noooo she wants me to be responsible.'.."
Terra attempted her best to mimic Nico's voice not like Abel knew what he sounded like but the comedy was still there. She even found herself snickering, shaking her head and scooping up another spoon of ice cream.
Ooc: Nico was not in the tournament. The player had redacted his involvement. So Nico is unknown still.

Abel smiled and tried to give a curtsy when her seat was pulled out for her, before realizing that her ankle was broken and she bit her tongue to hold back the pain. She giggled away the light agony and quickly sat down before scooting in the table. She was happily gobbling down her ice cream treat when Terra gave her response, which Abel wholeheartedly listened to. 'oh…shit…i didn't even ask if she had even had a brother' she cursed, before breaking out into laughter at her imitation of her sibling. A few heads turned to stare at the red head, as if the multitude of butterflies fluttering gently around her didn't make her stand out already. wanting to join in on the fun, Abel began to imitate what her brother would do, making her voice all sniffly and whiny, even going so far as to shed a few crocodile tears in her act. "b-but I don't wanna do chores Abel! i wanna go check on my plants for like the millionth time. A-and i just want to hide away from my responsibilities in life, and cry a lot while listening to my punk rock albums." she lamented, before cracking up once more herself. Terra Alianovna Dryagin
