[attr="class,"bioentry"]At first glance, Roxanne appears to be a very prim and proper young lady, which is very much true. Her posture is always fairly stiff and polite. She rarely speaks out of turn, unless something is going on that worries or concerns her. Whenever she does speak out, her voice shakes and stutters as her nerves get to her. Roxanne is very awkward socially, finding herself unable to communicate with others nervously. She doesn’t understand how people work, and it frustrates her. Her nervousness is further expanded by stage fright that usually hits her during stressful moments. She has trouble being around more than two or three other people, and when asked to speak in front of any number of people, the girl will freeze up. Due to bullying The result is a young woman who’s nerves are in the process of exploding at any given time. [attr="class","bioheader"]history. [attr="class,"bioentry"]Roxanne is a native to London, being born and raised there. Both her parents were archaeologists and she has two brothers, one older and one younger. Her younger brother is three years younger than her, and he was sent to a hospital when he was two years of age because of his weak body. Because of this, she often forgot he even existed growing up. Her other brother however, Kale, was a large influence in her life from his flamboyant hair styles to his signing her up for fencing without her knowledge or consent. Roxanne's parents were often out of town due to their work, so for all intensive reasons, Kale was basically a father figure to her, although he was only ten years her senior. [break][break] It was her third birthday when her mother decided to give her a special present. The gift was a book of fantasy written several decades ago. Her mother had read the book as a girl, and Roxanne was happy to have it. When Roxanne was seven, her brother gave her another book, saying the one her mother gave her was part of a set. Kale would go on to get her the third book in the series. She was dazzled by the books almost instantly, ecstatic to be able to learn something so fun from her older brother. The fantasy world of the books were a wonderful form of escapism. She had rarely left the house on her own aside from school as a child. Her quiet and timid nature made it difficult for her to find friends in the classroom. She was a subject of bullying in her school because of this reason coupled with her unusual family situation, but Roxanne honestly didn't care as long as she had her brother. Yes, it was a bit of a brother complex, however, it never got through the stage of just dependence. Her joy to be able to read with her brother seemed to overshadow the curiosity and fear that filled her when dealing with other people. [break][break] As Roxanne's tenth birthday drew closer, a letter arrived at the Greenfield residence. Kale read it, and then he retreated to his room. He didn't answer Roxanne when she knocked on the door, and he didn't leave the room for a long while. When he finally did, Roxanne had fallen asleep at the foot of the door waiting. The next day she was told what the letter held. Her parents had been reported deceased. The cause had been a cave in at one of their digs in Egypt. The worst part was the authorities only recovered one of the bodies. Only their father would be laid to rest. The funeral was quick and a short. The Greenfield family, while being wealthy enough to be considered one among the high social class, was well known for being the birth place of misers who piddled away their lives in worthless pursuits. Roxanne's parents were just considered another generation of insanity. Especially her father, who had the nerve to marry an unusual tattooed girl from Egypt. The few who arrived at the funeral couldn't help but whisper about his wife who hadn't been found. The tall mysterious woman with tattoos who could scare away a stampeding herd of buffalo with one glare was gossiped about frequently. Roxanne didn't remember her like that at all though. She remembered the warm smile, and how her hugs felt. [break][break] After the funeral Roxanne's brother began working. He didn't need to, the family had enough funds, but she supposed he needed to keep busy. So did she. With her brother mostly gone for work now, continuing their parent's work despite her pleas, Roxanne began to study more seriously. At times the girl felt lonely... However, Roxanne kept reading; she kept filling her mind with stories and new worlds to smash the hollowed effect of her parent's death. Soon, she didn't care about the world outside her room. She would fall asleep to her own stories, and wake up only to continue them. [break][break] One day, Kale simply told Roxanne that they were moving to the United States for his work. He had gotten a teaching job in New York. Without much of a warning, the girl found herself in a new city in a new country. Luckily for her, the shut in had never really had to worry about leaving her friends behind. Everything was going fine until she saw a certain book in a store window. It was the next book in her mother's book series. Roxanne was burning with excitement as she bought it and ran home to read it. She took the book everywhere with her as she read and reread it. However, one day, some kids from her school who enjoyed messing with her took the book from the girl in an attempt to mock her. [break][break] Roxanne stabbed the girl in the neck with scissors to get her book back in the heat of the moment. Needless to say, she was sent to 552 after that. [attr="class","bioheader"]fighting style. [attr="class,"bioentry"]Roxanne isn't a fighter. She's never been one to get into fights. The only fight she ever got into was the one that got her sent to 552, and during that fight, the scissors had accidentally made their way into the girl's neck. If she has to fight, the girl will do her best, but she's more prone to just trying to avoid trouble or running... Or begging for mercy. Other than that, she has no real tactics. [attr="class","bioheader"]strengths and weaknesses. [attr="class,"bioentry"]Roxanne is intelligent. She's good at thinking things through and figuring them out. She's also humble and won't get in over her head. To a point, the girl could be considered extremely calculative and thoughtful as well. Because of all the book's she's read, her mind is filled with some useful and some useless information. Roxanne's also quick witted and is capable of making on the fly decisions. [break][break]However, she's also easily frightened. The girl is quick to freeze when under pressure. She's somewhat cowardly and will flee or hide when terrified. She's also fairly weak when it comes to her body in general due to a life of constantly hiding indoors.
