1) MELEE QI SPLITTING: Some people have melee Qi that requires a specific method of activation utilizing a body part or an object, whereas some people have melee Qi that can be activated immediately on touch, and from any point on their body. I'm thinking we should treat these two types of melee Qi like shields and barriers, and, like barriers, give more versatile melee Qi 1/2 the damage output of standard melee Qi at each tier.
2) AREA OF EFFECT: Area of Effect abilities can be incredibly deadly, with their lack of priming and undefined distance. This needs to change. My suggestion here is that all Area of Effect Qi must have a single post of priming before it can be used. Also, distances need to be set, preferably to something like a 10 ft radius around the point of origin. I also think range should have a possibility to increase, but in doing so you would lose 5(per tier) for every 10 feet added on to the radius.
3) TELLS: Every ability must have some sort of tell that it's being used, otherwise there's almost no chance of dodging anything. Even Rakeem, when using any ability, glows bright blue. This one is, more or less, self-explanatory, I think.
4) DAMAGE CAPS: On Int-Builds, Qi can get to unreasonably high damage outputs. So, this is a suggestion limit this problem. Qi would stop getting stronger at 150 Int, relative to the type of Qi in question. I know the phrasing sounds slightly off, but here's what I mean:
