welcome
Welcome delinquents to PHS #552. A few reminders, no rough housing, no running in the hallways, no cheating, and no talking back to your teachers. Beyond that, enjoy yourselves. After all these are the years you’ll look back on, and remember, you mother fuckers peaked too early.

A brand new group is on the making, The Apostles, a Pillar-like group led by none other than our brand new headmaster, Gregoire Girard. A student body that would lead students and enforce the law on this little school of ours. Little is still known about this student body, but who knows? It might just be what the school needs.

A lunch box is seen last Friday, around 12:37:08pm with an encouraging note packed inside. This appalling display that utterly lacked manliness has left many students stunned and outrage, as some decided, after a long while, to speak out against it.

titles and challenges
Certain characters hold special titles that are usually earned through merit or their actions in-character. These titles come with a variety of bonuses, oftentimes in the form of a special custom title/color and a personalized, powerful item. Below, you will find information on all of the types of titles, along with the rewards that come with holding each and every one.

pillar system The Pillar system was the school board's method of using the students to govern themselves. The four strongest students within the school became known as the Pillars, based on the philosophy of the strong leading the pack. The most capable of the four is known as the School Captain, who takes charge over his or her three other Pillars. The following three are numbered from one to three, typically in order of strength. While initially implemented to restore order, this system has seen mixed results.
How to become a School Captain or Pillar:
01. To claim a title as School Captain or Pillar, someone must defeat the previous title-holder in an official challenge. 02. A School Captain or Pillar may bequeath his or her title onto a person of his or her choosing. How to rise through the ranks:
01. The only way a Pillar can move up is to defeat the title-holder ranked above him or her sequentially, moving one step at a time. If a Pillar is defeated by another in an official challenge, the two exchange titles. 02. The School Captain and Pillars may not challenge one another to strip each other of their titles. Rules of Pillarship:
01. A Pillar may not deny a challenge unless the challenger in question has already lost twice within the span of 30 days. 02. Fights issued by the challenger must be one-on-one, within school grounds, with at least one other Pillar spectating. 03. Fights issued by the title-holder may follow whatever rules the title-holder wishes. 04. Pillars may not abuse their power. 05. Once started, all Pillar challenge fights must continue until one fighter concedes. The maximum time allowed between posts is 72 hours. If this time limit is exceeded, the last person to post wins the bout. Benefits of Pillarship:
01. A custom Special Item with power correlating to position. These may be upgraded. +7 for 3rd Pillar +9 for Second Pillar +11 for First Pillar +13 for School Captain. 02. Access to the Pillar Office and free reign of the school. 03. Control over the Regulators.

dragon system The Dragons are a renowned congregation of the strongest fighters within the city limits of New York City. They are a feared force that represents anarchy and discord, and have grown to be known as the anti-thesis to the Pillars. While they hold control over no specific territory or group of people on their own, each Dragon is both highly revered, and feared for his or her capabilities.
How to become a Dragon:
01. To claim a title as Dragon, someone must defeat the previous title-holder in an official challenge. 02. A Dragon may bequeath his or her title onto a person of his or her choosing. Rules for Dragons:
01. A Dragon may not deny a challenge unless the challenger in question has already lost twice within the span of 30 days. 02. Fights issued by the challenger must be one-on-one, and are no-holds-barred fights. The winner walks away with the dragon item as proof of their victory. 03. Fights issued by the title-holder may follow whatever rules the title-holder wishes. 04. No Dragons hold authority of any other. All are equal in standing. 05. Once started, all Dragon challenge fights must continue until one fighter concedes. The maximum time allowed between posts is 72 hours. If this time limit is exceeded, the last person to post wins the bout. Benefits of Dragonhood:
01. A custom +13 Special Item. These may be upgraded. 02. Reverence/Fear among the population of NYC. (In)Famous in accordance to personal alignment.

enkauston system The Enkauston system is one designed to give players rewards based on the quality of their writing, rather than the strength of their characters. The four most esteemed writers on the site each hold a title as one of the Enkauston.
How to become Enkauston:
01. To claim a title as Enkauston, someone must defeat the previous title-holder in an official challenge. 02. A member of the Enkauston MAY NOT bequeath their title onto another. There is no other method of obtaining the title than through a challenge. How to rise through the ranks:
01. The only way to move up within the Enkauston is to defeat the title-holder ranked above you in a challenge. Delta must challenge Gamma, Gamma must challenge Beta, ranks cannot be skipped. 02. The Enkauston may not challenge one another to strip each other of their titles. Rules of the Enkauston:
01. An Enkauston may not deny a challenge unless they have already won three for the month. 02. Any challenges issued must go through Rire-chan , where a prompt will be assigned and the challenge will be placed. 03. Once started, all Enkauston challenges remain up for a total of 72 hours before being closed. Entries will be graded by a rubric provided by staff. If a challenger fails to post within the allotted time, they automatically lose the challenge. 04. Content may not be plagiarized, and must be PG13. 05. Submitted stories must follow the prompt provided. Benefits of Enkauston:
01. A custom Special Item with power correlating to position. These may be upgraded. The stat boost is the power. If a player wishes to have an ability on their Special Item they must give up the stat bonus and purchase the ability. +7 for Delta +9 for Gamma +11 for Beta +13 for Alpha The Grading Rubric:
01. Literary Devices: /20 How fluent is your writing? How well can you utilize metaphors, personification, hyperbole, etc. to your advantage? How detailed is your writing? 02. Character: /20 Is your character balanced inside the story? Do they have their fair share of flaws? Do they seem overly perfect in your post? Are they overly-focused on, and do they overwhelm the plot of the story? 03. Content: /15 How well do you adhere to the prompt provided? How deeply do you understand the prompt? How well did you utilize the prompt? 04. Creativity: /15 How unique is your story, overall? How predictable is it?

reigning faction system The Reigning Faction is the group within 552 that holds the most power. This group makes the rules around the place, and all others - Pillars and Regulators included - bow to them. With their word as law, they do as they please, be it slaps on the wrist and handing out detention, or handing out corporal punishment then and there.
How to become Reigning Faction:
01. To claim this title, a group must defeat the current Reigning Faction. 02. The current Reigning Faction may bequeath their title to another group of their choosing for whatever reason they wish.
Rules of Pillarship:
01. Each faction may bring a total of six participants into the fray. 02. There is no set post order. 03. Each player most post within 48 hours of their last post. 04. A player may not post twice unless at least three others have posted since their last post, or their 48-hour time limit is about to expire. 05. No weapons besides equippable items are allowed in the fight unless both involved parties agree otherwise. 06. The faction with the last fighter standing wins. 07. If agreed upon by both sides, they may send in a champion for single combat. The faction of the winning champion is crowned the Reigning Faction. Benefits of Pillarship:
01. Dominance over every other faction within 552 - Pillars and Regulators included. 02. Free reign of the school. 03. Control over the laws and punishments within 552.
