Melanie paced around the store. She was expected to receive a new shipment from the warehouse, but it was late. Therefore making her delivery late. She hated to disappoint clients; especially new ones. First impressions are everything. It was what made people come back every time. Well, that and her exceptional customer service. She stole another look at her watch. She still had another twenty minutes before she needed to leave to rendezvous with her client. Nervously she traced her steps back to her usual place behind the cash register to attend to her younger nursery back there. Maybe they might get here in time. Melanie was humming to herself when the door charmed letting her know someone was there. She turned and beamed at the door an began her usual greeting but stopped short when she saw his face. "Hi! Welcome to Sunflowers... Don't I know you from.... Somewhere?"

Yin was wandering around the District... Seemed some stores were still open and survived the crazy looters and such, even maintaining shipment routes at least within the confines of the District. That likely wouldn't last long. Yin decided it might be a good way to fetch some extra provisions for LG to go around and see about expanding the protection racket.
"It's possible... You got a nice place here. How have you been keeping in such nice shape with all the riots and looters?"

Melanie would pull a rose from the bouquet she was working on. "I use my flowers and ask nicely. Something I can help you with? A lost friend needing one last bouquet perhaps?"
Melanie would keep the rose in her hand just in case something happened. If this guy were to cause problems, she needed to be able to stop him before he did too much damage to the store. She didn't need Kazuya to handle all of her problems. This kid looked simple enough. She hoped he wouldn't start anything. She didn't like fighting. Plus, this little rose was too young and innocent to die...

Yin shrugged and put his hands in his pockets. Sounded to him like she was being coy and evading a true answer.
"Not really, it was just interesting to see your windows aren't broken and you were open for business... You wouldn't happen to be paying protection to one of the big groups in the city would you? RIOT? Orochi? Apex?"
Yin was curious, wondering if maybe he might be moving in on someone elses action. It would only be polite to know who's toes he may be stepping on.

Melanie stared into the guys eyes. Did he seriously just ask if her business was owned? "I own this place. I pay no one money to keep it safe. I keep it safe." Melanie would say the last sentence as she took a step toward the kid. Does he really think I am just going to back down from that?
Unless he was referring to what faction I belong to... "But I am a member of Hyperion, if that was what you wanted to know." Melanie would say as she took another step. No one took money from her store. All the proceeds went straight back into the store. If Hyperion needed money, of course she'd give it, but not until they asked. This wasn't a charity after all.
