A lunch box is seen last Friday, around 12:37:08pm with an encouraging note packed inside. This appalling display that utterly lacked manliness has left many students stunned and outrage, as some decided, after a long while, to speak out against it.

[nospaces] [attr="class","biggie"] [attr="class","textie"]It had been a couple of weeks since the wall had went up, and the situation within only worsened more and more. People were growing exceedingly more desperate, their hunger and desire to get out drove them to act irrationally.[break][break]
Valo walked down the street, carrying his sword in its sheathe in his left hand. There was the occasional rioter and fight breaking out where people were mugging one another, but many people stopped when they saw Valo walking by, shrinking away into hiding. As much as he tried not to look at anyone, they made it entirely obvious that they were keeping their eye on him.[break][break]
Soon, Valo would walk out into the middle of an open street, and not a soul was in sight. It was almost silent, if not for Valo being able to hear the shuffling around him. He paused in the middle of the street, standing still and closing his eyes as he began to address those around him.[break][break]
"If you're planning on ambushing me, there's little point. I know you're there, and I promise you that you'll regret it."[break][break]
Several people would come out of hiding, surrounding Valo. Their eyes betrayed their desperation and their anger.[break][break]
"It's him... Hyperion's leader."[break] "He's the reason we're stuck in this fucking hole! Because of that damn bomb they blew up at the school!"[break] "We're going to tear you apart, you son of a bitch. Maybe present your corpse as an offering to the Apostles!"[break][break]
Valo's eyes opened, gripping his sword's hilt tightly as he drew it. Electricity emanated from the blade lightly before he held it up in front of him. Suddenly, a bolt of lightning came down from the sky loudly, resulting in a boom that could be heard all across the district as it struck his blade, charging it with lightning energy, the power surrounding the sword as he looked the men dead in their eyes. Once heralded as heroes by the populace, Valo and Hyperion were deemed as nothing more than domestic terrorists.[break][break]
"If that's what you think, then maybe I'll use your bodies as a warning to the Apostles." Post by Vivi Perish on Jan 25, 2016 19:26:34 GMT -5
somethings just fade away That morning, Vivi hobbled down the stairway of a rather run down apartment complex to the first floor. A middle aged couple was kind enough to let her sleep on their couch for the night, but she made sure to wake up as early as possible and leave just as quickly. The last thing she wanted to do was take advantage of strangers' kindness. The next few hours of the day she spent wandering the city, and managed to take a quick shower at a gas station, though she didn’t have any new clothes to change into or anything to brush her hair with. Vivi had been wearing the same battered jeans and tank top for quite a while now… she really needed to wash them. The worst part though was her lack of shoes. Pacing the streets in the cold with no shoes on hurt. At least until her toes went numb. What little money she had on her was running low, so she spaced out meal times. Really spaced them out. Last time she’d eaten was two days ago, but she’d bought a few water bottles here and there and drank at public water fountains. Basically the street life wasn’t killing her or anything, but it sucked. Later that day as she walked she heard voices around the corner. They started out muffled, but changed to shouts. That was your usual stuff around here, and she was about to turn the other way, but… well, there was a big flashy lightning bolt and a loud boom. That piqued her curiosity, of course. The violet haired girl padded around the street corner, pulling the partially torn strap of her tank top back up on her shoulder. Her gaze fell on a group of people surrounding someone. Vivi assumed he was some kind of powerhouse to get this kind of attention, as well as the one to summon the lighting bolt-- though she couldn’t see him very well. When a few of them shifted their positions, she caught a glimpse of his face and a lump caught in her throat. Valo. Part of her wanted to just run over and hug him but… how could she? She’d left without even saying good bye, and she’d promised she’d always be there for him. That she’d stop him from becoming a monster, and letting the grossness of the world take over his heart. While she doubted someone as kind as Valo could ever go bad, she still felt like… ...A liar. “Valo!”Well, that slipped out. Her voice came out loud and raspy, and even cracked a little. Vivi came closer, and would glare at any of the people who looked in her direction. One of the men stomped forward to stop her from coming any closer. When he did, she touched his chest--this sent a shock of electricity through his body strong enough to knock him out. Vivi then kept walking without batting an eye. After seeing Valo do his lighting sword thinking and Vivi tasing someone with her hand… well, she hoped some of them would take a moment to re-think their decision. “I’m, uh…” she paused, and the next few words came out in almost a whisper, "I'm sorry Valo..."( Adrian "Valo" Morei )

[nospaces] [attr="class","biggie"] [attr="class","textie"]Moving his sword up near his face, the blade would be pointed outwards as Valo gripped it with both hands, pacing around as he kept an eye on the men around him. He dared them to make even one wrong move, the lightning sparking from his body was a stark contrast to the blood red of his eyes.[break][break]
"So not one of you wants to make that first move? Shame."[break][break]
They were struck by the fear of being the first to witness the powers Valo possessed now that he had become one with the Lightning Dragon's legacy and the Wraith. He accepted their strength, let it mold him into something darker, something much more powerful than he used to be. Strength was all that mattered anymore, and he would showcase it here as a message to the Apostles that he was coming for them.[break][break]
He gripped his blade tightly, about to strike, when...[break][break]
"Valo!"[break][break]
On his guard, he would turn towards the source of the voice. Bloodthirsty eyes would widen, turning into a look of utter shock and disbelief. He stared for a moment in silence, his mouth agape, as he saw her walk up to him.[break][break]
"...V-Vivi..."[break][break]
His sword lowered as though the strength had left his arms, holding it loosely in his hand as the blade hit the ground. Sparks would fly up slightly from the impact, causing a couple of the men to shrink away out of reflex, but his eyes never left her.[break][break]
Was it really her? There was no mistaking her face, her voice, her very being. It haunted him every day since she had left him. He wished he could have been angry at her. He wished he had it in him to hate her, even a little bit, for abandoning him. He was left with nothing but the desire to get revenge for what he had lost. But despite all of that, he hoped that at least she had made it outside of the walls. But now, here she was in front of him... trapped just as he was.[break][break]
It was both a blessing and a curse.[break][break]
"I'm sorry Valo..."[break][break]
And just like that, it was like the anger and pain was never even there. He let out a gasp of relief, trying to catch his breath, and walked up to her. His left arm would come up and wrap around her as Adrian pulled her close. The sword in his hand was shaking ever so slightly as he was unable to calm his nerves, but he didn't care about hiding that right now. Vivi was here, and he embraced her tightly.[break][break]
"Vivi..."[break][break]
It pained him to see her in this state. He couldn't imagine how hard she had it, and it couldn't have been any easier with the wall going up and making it harder to even find something to eat. Seeing her again just made his resolve to tear this wall down even stronger, he wanted to keep her safe.[break][break]
One of the men behind Vivi started to approach, and wordlessly, dark energy channeled from Adrian's right arm and through his sword. As he pointed it at the man, a blast of darkness would shoot out and strike him, sending him flying back unconscious.[break][break]
"I'm sorry too... you don't have to go through this alone anymore."[break][break]
For the first time in a while, he felt a little light enter his heart again. somethings just fade away His eyes. His eyes didn't look like that before. For a split second, they were murderous… and then there was the color. He looked so different, but as he lowered his sword and his expression changed to one of surprise, it was obvious he was the same person. However, something had changed on the inside it seemed, though she didn’t know what it was. At her words, it was almost as if a weigh was removed from his shoulders, and he came forward to put an arm around her. She wrapped her arms around Valo in return, and rested her head on his shoulder, her eyes squeezed shut. She shivered slightly as she clung to him, biting her lip to keep from crying. She’d missed him so much, and the guilt of abandoning him was so crushing, sometimes it felt as though she couldn’t breath. A lump formed in her throat, but she couldn’t cry. She was way past that now. Vivi spotted the blast of darkness from the corner of her vision, and heard the noise of a body falling to the ground. He was strong… hopefully these guys would take a hint. “You don’t need to apologize,” she drew back for a moment, “I broke my promise… I never meant to, but I did.” She looked into Valo's red eyes for and took in a shaky breath. “But this time, I’ll stick by you through it all. Neither of us have to do this alone anymore.” Was he angry with her? Even a little bit? Perhaps he could just be hiding it… It would only make sense if he resented her, but he didn’t seem to. A slight smile tugged at the corners of her mouth. She couldn’t ask for a better brother. ( Adrian "Valo" Morei )
