A brand new group is on the making, The Apostles, a Pillar-like group led by none other than our brand new headmaster, Gregoire Girard. A student body that would lead students and enforce the law on this little school of ours. Little is still known about this student body, but who knows? It might just be what the school needs.

A lunch box is seen last Friday, around 12:37:08pm with an encouraging note packed inside. This appalling display that utterly lacked manliness has left many students stunned and outrage, as some decided, after a long while, to speak out against it.

People were touching her.
It was odd, being in the city. It was like....eyes just glazed over her. That she wasn't some great shadow behind the Captain. She wasn't the First Pillar, or untoucheable queen. She wasn't something anyone around her would be afraid of. Part of her...enjoyed that. The rest of her hated it. Hated the humanity in it. She didn't want to be famous or feared. She didn't want her name everywhere she just....wanted to be left alone.
Still, she had business today.
She was at a market in the city. Currently at a weapons stand, where several knives and long blades were. She bought four. Two knives with seven inch blades, and two others that were smaller. More concealable and able to throw easy. She stuck the two larger blades in the small of her back, held in place by a belt that was nearly silkin. It tied around to her front where it holstered the other two under her sweater. She had an interaction with a boy outside the gate name Alvin the other day- he drew needles as a weapon. God knows what else he had on him...but if he had come from inside the school, that could mean other students were smuggling knives. And if they had weapons like that, or tasers or anything else....she had to be ready.
She would turn and head back up the street. She was a mile or so from the school, on a Sunday. Most students were allowed to venture into the city on a Sunday, as long as they logged in and out. As a Pillar she didn't have to. Still, she would put it down in detention just for her own accountability.
For the law.

Sunday, Bloody Sunday~
Considering the time of year, it was busy. Even Phoebe was caught up doing her Christmas shopping...well, somewhat early. She had just enough money to pick up a couple gifts, and...what would be hers and Allen's holiday meal.
Well, most of it!
She definitely had the gifts. And, emerging from a small shop, her secret weapon. It was one of her best tricks around the holidays! A pine scented infuser! So, even if they only had an artificial tree - which really saved money, not having to buy a real tree every year - they would still have the smell of Christmas in the house. Head and eyes up, practically bouncing along to a beat only she could hear, Phoebe bobbed and weaved through the people around on the street, handing out free and friendly smiles to anyone that so much as looked at her.
Oh yeah. Christmas was gonna be a good time! Now all she had to do was get the groceries and jog back home and—
A familiar face!
Gasping with delight (not even her brother saying the First Pillar didn't get anywhere near friendly could dampen her cheerful disposition), she abruptly hauled right with a bubbled chirp, her bouncing increasing to get a better look at the person heading towards her: "Saya~! Hey, Saya!"

Saya turned as someone called out her name. Like they were...familiar. Her eyes narrowed slightly as she tried to recall where she had seen this girl.
"Do I know you?"
She kept her hands at her side, hood down, as she racked her brain to try and remember the female who seemed way too cheerful for her own good. She...had no idea. But Saya saw faces day in and day out, so she couldn't be held accountable for forgetting one or two.

Phoebe ducked around a last person to come face to face with the girl, her smile firmly in place. She wasn't really disturbed about not being remembered. An encounter or two, she figured it was okay, even if she didn't understand the reasons. Besides, maybe she just didn't leave a strong enough impression. She would have to try harder!
"Well...not well, yet~ I'm Phoebe, though, from school. Phoebe Hollows." She decided against trying for a second handshake and instead shifted her weight on her feet. "Enjoying your Sunday? Ohhh, are you Christmas shopping, too?! It's so busy, haha, it always surprises me~"

She didn't have room to get a word in with this girl. And she was standing deep inside Sayas personal bubble. That, she did not like. But there were so many people on the sidewalk....they were standing outside the bookstore that Saya had glanced at, and had been tempted to enter a few moments before Phoebe spoke her name. She reached out, snatching Phoebe by the shoulder and hauling her into the bookstore. She would put the green eyed girl back in front of her, but at arms length.
"Breathe between your sentences."
She glanced around the bookstore, a warm feeling in her chest, though it wouldn't show.
"A boy drew weapons on me the other day. I came for knives.."
She tould turn, like she had been speaking to Phoebe absent mindedly, and run her hand over the spines of some boxed books. A little bit of dust kicked up around them, but that was their joy. It was magical, for her, the way the stories seemed to come to life under the fingertips.
Her blue eyes came back to Phoebe. She...did not seem the friendliest. But despite the words, they weren't chilled or meant to sound mean. They were just matter of fact. They didn't know each other, right? So...she was treating Phoebe like an unknown. She would brush past Phoebe after, walking slowly, looking at the books. If Phoebe left....Saya wouldn't even notice.

"Wh–uhhaw!" Whatever it was she was going to go off and touch upon was cut off as she was abruptly grabbed and dragged into the bookstore. Saya was certainly fast. And strong. No wonder she was First Pillar.
Phoebe's eyes brightened considerably with sudden interest that had little to do with the books, and much more to do with the challenge that was presented with the new school...and the strength of the Pillars therein. She didn't grump or otherwise shake Saya off, but let out a small giggle at the advice in her mildly induced daze. Wow. She had her work cut out for her~
Wait, weapons?
Giving herself a liberal shake, Phoebe quickly gave Saya a once-over, looking specifically for any sort of bandages that would indicate defensive wounds or injuries...and, spotting none (or nothing obvious, anyway) she let it a great sigh of relief.
"Really? Whoa. Glad you're okay, though." She bit her lip, edging closer to read the text on the spine that the teen was very fondly caressing. Was it just the books that entranced her so and softened her, or was it this one in particular..? Her nose wrinkled a bit at the dust and she squeezed her eyes shut, waylaying a sneeze. "Hnnnngh! Ugh. Anyway. You love books, huh?"
Her eyes cracked open and she turned her head a little, giving Saya a friendly and bright smile.

Sayas eyes flicked over the tomes, taking in their names. Last of the mohicans. Wizard of Oz. Twenty thousand leagues under the sea. Tarzan-
She turned to look back at the girl she had almost forgotten about. She didn't go into any other detail about the boy who drew weapons- it had been outside the school so she hadn't had to hurt him irreparably. But the next time they met, and he even showed a hint of metal, she planned to make him take classes from the infirmary for a month. Still, she wasn't one to hold a grudge- he hadn't drawn them inside the school. In fact, his only infraction from school law was sneaking out- worthy of a detention. So...she didn't bait him, or continue to put pressure on him physically. She would wait until he slipped up again and deal with it at that time.
"Yes."
Strange. Many people didn't ask her questions. Most of the time it was to talk about her being a Pillar. Or about the Captain. Or to mock her or attack her. An honest question- similar to what that boy, Rosett, had done- was interesting. Still, it wasn't like it required an in-depth answer. A simple yes or no question, really. She would pull down Don Quixote and thumb through it a moment, thinking about the gentleman and his mission to revive knighthood in its ideal platform. Such a handsome man....
She turned to watch Phoebe, for a moment. to figure her out. She reminded Saya of someone...

She had that in common with Allen, anyway~ Phoebe gave a hum of pleasure that quickly veered into some catchy little current song, and began to paw around and through the books. Maybe she could splurge a little. Get Allen a book as a stocking stuffer. Something witty and funny...and maybe a little thought-inducing. She bit her lip, bouncing lightly on the balls of her feet every now and again.
"Hmm! Hnn~ Nooo. Does he have this one..? I can't remember..." She half-muttered, and then turned to Saya, squinting a bit to see the name of the book she was holding. "Heeeyyyy... Do you have any recommendations..? Either something you've read or would like to read? My brother loves reading, too, so..~"

Saya absent-mindedly drew a book from the wall and would toss it on the table next to Phoebe. It wasn't anything set within a really specific genre, but it was well known by anyone taking english lit. It was a young-teen novel called Touching Spirit Bear. It was one she really enjoyed. She didn't really give any direct information about it, but it was obvious that was her recommendation for someone younger than her that loved reading.
"My sister loved to read too."
She turned her eyes up higher, to the books that were on the upper shelves. It was one problem with being so short- she couldn't reach the stories, and she wasn't about to ask anyone to grab some for her. Instead, she just moved to a different shelf, again running her fingers absent-mindedly over the spines, just to enjoy the feel of them.

Yipes!
Phoebe, despite the fact the book would land safely, made a mad scramble to actually catch it, and pull it close before looking at the cover. Hmmm...did Allen have this one already..? Well! She'd have to think on that.
"Thanks~" She looked up, watching Saya look up to the top shelves. Oh! Opportunity! She bounced forwards. "Hey, do you want anything from the higher shelves? I'd be happy to grab you something if you want~"

Saya turned to look at Phoebe. She realized now who it was the girl reminded her of. Shiyo. She didn't think she liked that. But she didn't care to think about it at this point. She watched her for several seconds, almost uncomfortably long before she looked back up at the upper shelves.
"Lord of the Flies."
He didn't understand why this girl was being nice to her. They were outside the school. She wasn't second Pillar so she couldn't challenge Saya for her title. Was she trying to be her friend? She was a little off base there. That just wasn't going to happen. Once she got it she would take it and use a word rather unfamiliar to her.
"Thanks."
And she would head for the cashier!

"Okay~" Shifting her focus to the shelves, Phoebe read through the spines and then stretched up, rising as far as she could onto the balls of her feet, and to her toes, just snagging the spine to draw it down with a triumphant grin as she handed the book off to Saya.
"You're welcome~!" She immediately responded, the words probably coated with more sunshine and rainbows than Saya was comfortable with. "And thank you for the recommendation~"
She trailed after her, to the counter. She hadn't really expected a little extra, but...it was for Allen. Her little brother deserved it. He always said it was her that held them together, that gave him some sense of loving family and safety and protection...but he didn't realize he also gave her the same. So, it was worth it, every penny.
She swayed back and forth, just behind Saya in line but giving her a little bit more room than she allowed most other people.

Saya paid for her books, not replying to the thanks for the offered book. She would stick her new purchases in her pack and turn, walking past Phoebe and out the door without looking back. She wondered for a moment why this school year felt different- perhaps it was because it was her starting year as First Pillar. But it was more than likely that she just wasn't used to so many people being interested in her. People trying to talk, interact. She just wanted to be left alone.
'I'm not here for friends.'
She wasn't telling herself that because she needed to believe it. She said it out of irritation to herself. Like she was making it perfectly clear but people just weren't getting the hints.

"Uh-- Saya!"
Phoebe scrambled to pay and tucked the book into one of her bags before darting out, back onto the streets and sidewalk, hoping to at least catch up. She thought she was making progress, so Saya leaving without even a word stung.
It was really rude..!
Where did she go?
