Appearance:
Personality:
Jason is creative, witty and friendly. He fancies himself a writer and he's not too bad at it once he sits down and actually starts writing. He is also very approachable, he can strike up a conversation with anyone over creative writing, movies, television and video games. Jason is very comfortable in social situations where he gets to joke around and have fun. He likes to analyze things and people, which is why he got into literature in the first place, he often takes a moment to analyze the situation before making any decisions.
However his major downfall is his laziness. He hardly ever has any motivations for doing anything that takes effort. So he usually procrastinates and leaves things to the very last minute. That's probably why he never finished any of the stories he wants to write. Although Jason usually calm and collected, he does have his limits when it comes to dealing with people. People who meet his friendliness with disrespect really piss him off, and if they go too far Jason would lash out either physically or verbally.
Fighting Style:
Jason has never been much of a fighter. He has gotten into fights before but to say that he has a "style" would be an exaggeration. Quick punches and grapples are his go-to if he has to fight. After being employed at 552 he started to realize maybe he should take some classes, however he never got around to doing so.
Strengths:
His creativity always managed to get him out of tough situations. Whether it was coming up with a convincing lie or a solution to a problem. Jason is also good at thinking on his feet and analyzing things quickly.
Weaknesses:
His laziness, and lack of fighting skills are going to be a major problem when teaching in a school full of juvenile delinquents. Especially with his temper when it comes to rude, and disrespectful people.
History:
Jason's dream has always been to write the next great fantasy novel. It started with dabbling in short stories and poems, it eventually grew into a love for writing. It wasn't like he was good at anything else when it came to his studies. So after high school, Jason was accepted into a college in New York and got his bachelor's degree in literature, hoping it would help him become a better writer, it didn't.
His next step was to going to get a masters in creative writing. But he didn't have the money to apply for a masters, and a BA in literature doesn't open a lot of doors career wise. After two years of working mostly in retail to pay rent. Jason finally made a decision, something that he has been dreading ever since he graduated; he was going to teach. Teaching was always his fallback plan, it wasn't what he wanted to do but it was either that or moving back to his parent's house back in Iowa. He sent in his CV to every school nearby, but even with a degree he had to teaching experience so not a lot of places got back to him.
It wasn't until Public High School 552 reopened did Jason get an answer. A full time teaching job at a school where he was encouraged to beat his students. Jason had some issues with the public high school system, but it was a stable job that paid well he had no other choice. It wasn't like he was going to finish writing that book any time soon.
