Seriously, Fuck Chemistry [Macht Starke]

Macht had been in the library already when Namina walked in. It was his free period, of course, and today he was spending it learning the beginnings of chemical engineering. With 130% in all of his classes, despite being in all AP classes available, he decided he would spend his time actually learning some things. He'd pulled out a pencil and paper and began to write down everything that stuck out to him, as well as all formulas he'd found in the first several lessons.

Macht's focus was broken when he saw a girl take a seat a couple of tables in front of him. He caught that she was on Facebook. He didn't particularly mind, but he remembered something about her. She was one of the people he'd caught ditching before, so he decided to deal with this now. Sighing and leaving his studies for the moment, he walked over and sat next to the girl, unplugging one of her ear buds.

"Skipping again, huh?"

Macht took the punch to his stomach without flinching, his skin like rock compared to any blow she could send his way. When she stepped away, surprised, he just sighed, and turned to face her. "Look," he began, nudging one leg of her chair and gesturing for her to sit back down. He'd wait for her to sit before he continued. "Don't try and pick a fight. You'll lose. That, and I don't feel like knocking out a newbie, so I'd feel bad while I dragged you back to your class." And thus was Macht's way of saying "take a chill pill."

"Chemistry, right? That's what you're ditching?" He remembered her mentioning it last time he encountered her. "Why's that?"

"You do realize without a basic knowledge of chemicals, you could really hurt yourself just from the wrong combination of household products. You know how often you're going to be using household products? All the time. Sure, you won't be mixing mercury and potassium or what-the-fuck-ever you're doing in class, but the knowledge is pretty applicable to real-world situations. Just, not literally." He laughed at her very clear disdain for the class, and pulled his phone out of his pocket. "I'll tell you what. Let's say I'm on your side here. If I ask you some basic chem questions and you can answer them all without the help of Google, I'll be cool with you ditching for today. If you can't, then I drag you back. How's that sound?" Internally, Macht was laughing since he'd just done some research on chemical engineering.
