A calm morning, Lex had sent out a text to Matrix "Meet at the football field at 5:15pm after all extracurricular activites have ended. Training starts." Lexington walked onto the football field. A long rope was slung over both of his shoulders, at the end of the ropes was a sled. the sled had a pole in the middle that had 45lb and 35lb weights weighing down the sled. The purpose of the sled was to help Matrix increase his speed and reaction timing with some resistance training. Building explosiveness is key in short range situations, something that Matrix lacked when he first sparred Lex.
"Whew, that thing gets tiring after a while.." The dark male set down the rope and sat down in the field and pulled out his phone. He snapped a picture of the weights and sent it to a couple friends with a funny caption on it. "It's almost time..".

Matrix wakes up in the morning yawning. He looks at his alarm clock and curses. "... fuck I'm late..." He gets out out bed and quickly does his morning routine. Then he knocks on Basil's door since he knows the other hasn't woken up, or he never went to sleep in the first place. "School, get your ass up Basil." He leaves the other be after this, knowing it's no use.
From then on he's out the door. It takes him around thirty minutes to walk to the school and as he's walking he gets a text, well two texts. The first is from Lex which says to meet him later. Matrix sends a quick message back saying okay. The next one is from Basil.
"Did you buy anymore cereal?" - Basil
Matrix groans and replies with no. And so he went on with his day, school was a bore. At five he gets changed into some gym shorts and an old tee-shirt. He stretches and then walks to the field. His eyes widen as he sees the sled. First thing that comes to mind is: How the hell did he get this. And secondly what was it for. He walks over to Lex and tilts his head. "Got your text, so what we doing?"

Lexington pointed to the sled, it was loaded with 285lbs worth of 45lb and 35lb weight combined. "That's 285lbs worth of weights. Your going to pull those around the field.. I can tell your pretty strong so this should help with your explosiveness. Keep running or 'chopping' your feet in place as you try to get the sled going. Building explosiveness in your legs improves your short distance speed, jumping, kick strength, etc. In short it helps with your leg dexterity." Lexington gently waved an arm towards the sled.
"Well, get to it bud. I want to see 6 wind springs up the football field. Drag the sled 110 yards back and forth. Trust me, you WILL feel this in your legs when you're done with me.. " Lexington walked over to the stands and took a seat, he pulled out a little collapsible telescope and watched Matrix from the stands.

Matrix nods as Lex talks. At the same time he's like. "Shit... I'll be dead when I finish..." When he says to start, Matrix hooks himself up to the sled and starts to move. He first tries to just walk to see if he can move the sled, which he can, but it's coming along very slowly. He groans in annoyance and starts to try and run faster.
Eventually the sled starts to move and with the momentum, Matrix can keep it moving at a steady pace. However he's not going that fast and after two laps he slows down, then stops to catch his breath. At least he continues after that break, but it shows how bad his endurance is currently. Also he doesn't seem that fast, even if he can easily pick up the amount of weight.
In the end, Matrix ends up where he started and unhooks himself, then he wobbles for a few seconds, then falls on his back, panting. "S.. so tired..."

Around his 2 and a half pull, Lex closed his mini telescope and he ran off to the cafeteria. After opening the double doors, he looked around and found a cooler in one of the kitchens. He filled the cooler with ice and dumped a bunch of water bottles into the cooler. Watching them submerge into the ice the teen closed the cooler and slung it over his back with ease. Walking back to the field where Matrix was just about finishing up, Lex dropped the cooler in position for when Matrix finished. "You're going to be drinking a lot of water if you're training with me buddy.." Lex grabbed an ice cold water and tossed it lightly towards Matrix "Drink up and take a fifteen minute break. I'll be back" Lexington walked over to the stands and went underneath them, he had a large black duffle bag that consisted of some workout instruments. He pulled out a harness that had a large back compartment attached to it. Walking back over to Matrix after the fifteen minute break he tossed the harness over to Matrix. "Put this on!"

Matrix is still panting slightly when Lex comes over. He tilts his head to the side slightly and barely manages to catch the bottle, since he wasn't ready for it. He nods when Lex talks about the break, relieved that he would be getting some kind of a break - or else he'd be dead before he started the next round.
During the fifteen minute break, it takes him around ten minutes to recover enough that he feels he can actually move again. However, his legs are sore and he's pretty sure he'll be like that for a while. The remaining five minutes he uses to stretch, to try and get the lactic acid out of his legs. He sighs as he realizes training's a bitch, but then knows if he wants to protect Basil, he has to do it.
When Lex throws him the harness he's already standing up and catches it. He then puts it on and makes sure everything is buckled and secure. "Alright, what's next." His face looks determined as he will do everything to make this worth while.

Lexington walked up to Matrix and pulled a string that was on the compartment and a parachute burst out. It would drag him back a little bit so Lex held onto Matrix. "Alrighty, now you're going to run from one end of the football field to the next. Once you hit the 15 yardline the parachutes will pick up some lift and will pull back on your torso as you run.. This will force you to push harder when you try to continue sprinting. It's a nice way to build leg strength." Exercising as much knowledge as he had gained in his spare time training his martial arts and practicing sports.
Lex pulled out a set of ankle weights that weighed roughly 8lbs. "All you have to do is run from our end to the other side and back. Then when you get back strap on these ankle weights and run from our side to the other and back again one last time."

While Lex is explaining Matrix's next assignment, he's thinking two things: how does he carry all this stuff and where the hell did he get it. He nods when the instructions are over. Taking a running stance he starts to run, but not sprint since he knows he'll loose energy way too fast, It all goes nicely until he reaches the fifteen yard line. Cursing he continues to push on and then when he makes it to the other side he quickly turns around. This time it's much harder for him because he's already tired. And there is wind today and it's blowing against him right now. Finally he makes it back, and half of him wants to quit, but the other half knows he should finish, for the good of his training.
He straps on the ankle weights and continues on. Funny thing is, this time it's not as bad as the first, because his mental strength is already getting better. He's still fucking tired as shit, but manages to complete his task. Falling to the ground again he's worn himself out, but feels satisfied he was able to complete that.

Lexington watches the kid take off running. The parachute should take him about five minutes to fully complete. So, Lex decided to try and get a new activity lined up. Looking over in the distance he found a hill at the end of another field. The tall teen gathered the sled and the ropes and connected them together. As Matrix returned Lex walked over to him with the weightless sled. "Okay, I forgot you're not me, if you do this next activity without a break you might die. So take a twenty-five minute break and get back here. You're going to pull me while I sit on this sled and play angry birds on my cellphone. Testing your mental and physical strength on this pull. Eyeballing from here, I would say that you have to pull me about 150 yards from these stands to that hill." Lexington said as he pointed to the hill on the other side of the athletic field.
"Some hill-climbing should be good endurance exercise!" Lexington sat down on the sled and grabbed a bottle of water from the cooler and laid back against the pole on the sled. He threw on some shades and starting basking in the evening sun. Pulling out his cellphone he proceeded to play angry birds.

Matrix has only a few minutes of rest before Lex comes back over. He groans a bit and listens to the next drill, however he's thankful for the break. He does laugh slightly about the comment of angry birds and wonders if the other will actually do it.
Well during his break he checks his cell and downs another bottle of water. He's annoyed and a bit baffled by the text.
"Hey, I tried to make tea and I melted the teapot... sorry, I'll go buy a new one." -Basil
Really... how does one even do that. Sighing as his time is up, he grabs the rope connected to the sled and starts to try and run, but then stops as he realizes he's not getting anywhere. Really, how much does this freaking guy weigh. So to start out he just uses all his strength to walk forwards. Luckily for him and physics, as he starts to move it gets easier. Eventually when he reaches the bottom of the hill he stops and looks at the other. "Do I climb up?" His eyes widen as he sees Lex actually playing angry birds.

Completely buried in his phone, Lexington had not noticed that Matrix pulled him over to the hill rather quickly. "Well, Allllriiiight. You put some hustle into it, I like that man. How're those legs feeling?" Lexington locked his phone and looked around "Shit, I forgot the cooler.". Lexington made a snapping sound with two of his fingers, then he looked over to Matrix.
"OKAY! Gameplan is as follows. You're going to get the water cooler for me because I forgot to bring it. Then when ya get back you're going to pull me up the hill using the sled, but when you pull me up the hill.. You have to bear crawl. Crawl on your hands and feet, not knees. If you fall to your knees I'll make you restart." Lexington stood there and waited for Matrix. "Any questions? No? Get a move on!" Lex barked.

Matrix litteraly dies inside when Lex tells him he forgot to bring the cooler. Barely waiting for the other to finish speaking he jogs back to the cooler, not wanting to exert himself too much. When he reaches the cooler he grabs a water and drinks about half of it down, not wanting to get a stomach ache from drinking too fast. A few minutes later he finishes up the water and tosses it in the trash.
From there he debates dragging or carrying the cooler, and goes with the latter. He picks up the heavy thing and can hear some of the used to be ice sloshing around. He then starts a quick paced walk to still give him some cool down time. Reaching Lex again he puts down the cooler on the sled and picks up the rope again.
Seven freaking times. It took him that many times and over two hours to make it to the top. When he finished he was nearly seeing stars as he collapsed. If he had a white flag he'd raise it at this point because he was downright exhausted. "G.. Give me like an hour... and some food... then... I'll be good..." And that's when he passes out from lack of everything. If this was an anime his soul might be floating away at the moment.
Matrix's phone rang as he got another text. If one was to answer it they would find:
"Matrixxxx!! Don't let your soul fly away!!" -Basil
Really, did he know?

Lexington forced Matrix to restart every time he messed up. "What're ya gettin tired already!? We haven't even moved onto the fighting portion." Lexington kicked at the soil to see how easy it would be to create a ring. Walking in a circle, Lexington created an improvised fight ring for the two. The diameter of the ring was ten feet so it wasn't that big. Lexington stood in the middle of the ring and called Matrix over. "Okay, now that we've finished your conditioning it's time to test out your fighting skills and your footwork." Lexington raised both palms into the air "Okay, take some boxing jabs at my hands." Lexington had no intention of warning Matrix that he would hit back. Every time Matrix attempted to jab at either his left or right palm, Lexington would strike a quick jab back at Matrix with the alternate palm. "Stay on your toes friend."

Matrix sighs and heaves himself up. After a few minutes of breathing and just calming himself and resetting he feels a bit better that he can continue to go for a bit. He gets into the circle and stretches himself out as he listens to Lex. Then he starts trying to hit Lex.
After the first jab, he realizes Lex will respond with a jab. He quickly goes into a fairly fast paced rhythm of trying to jab the other. While he lacks a bit in the speed department, he's pretty strong.
A noticeable thing is, that when Matrix is fighting he seems to have no resetting stance as he just tries to hit from various positions, some of which are not especially good, but keep his smooth rhythm going.

Lexington stopped hitting Matrix back and continued to let him strike, slowly he started sidestepped so that they would be rotating inside the ring while Matrix continuing striking. "You've got a decent offense, I'll give you that. You're tired now.. Let's see how you react to playing defense." Lexington waited for Matrix to throw his right jab before he started reacting. He began bobbing from side to side as he tried to strike two jabs at Matrix's chest "Sometimes you just need to evade you're opponent. Not every situation can be won. Take into mind the circumstances your under. What's the opponent like, try to mentally get a break down of the way they move." Lexington kept a predictable pattern with his feet. He continued to bob from left to right alternating the foot he hopped off of.
As for his jabs he was striking light jabs with decent speed behind them. The aim wasn't to completely exhaust Matrix, but the conditioning from early would act as a great simulator to the point they were at now. Defending oneself against a quicker opponent while they're incredibly tired makes them think of outside options.
