He wasn't the most popular guy in the world, it wasn't to say he didn't have friends, he had quite a few of them. There were a lot of people in his life he could call a friend, but a friend by definition is an individual of which someone has a unique attachment, but to call them friends would imply they spent any useful time together, Typically there was more time spent plotting the abuse of these so called friends. More time spent learning the weakness of his 'friends' and using them for a specific task he had in place. So these friends were more used as tools than anything else. But the definition of "Asset" is one thing, place, or person that is useful and can be used, so it would suffice easiest to simply say he had a vast number of assets at his disposal. Johnathan hadn't any friends, this was easy to admit, he had those who were useful. But what could he call Macht? Macht wasn't useful, Macht wasn't an 'asset,' John and he simply spent time together, time that was used if not to abuse one another, than to simply be, to exist. John wasn't used to this. John was actually dressed normally, was riding a normal bike, and knocked on a normal door. The two had become more what might be called 'Friends' lately since that night they ran from the hoodlums that plagued the streets. It was easy to say they weren't friends, however, since John really knew nothing of the boy, his food preference, preference in reading nor that of women... It was a stressful time for the young man with nothing but assets. | |
