Shoji had expected on recruiting new members for the host club on his own, not to have them recruited by teachers. Although in this case, it seemed the teeny chap was forced into it. A teacher was gripping the top of a hoodie of a boy, standing before Shoji in front of the entrance of the Host Club. The Junior had been puzzled by this and quirked a brow, as the teacher explained how 'this one' was not involved in any extracurricular activities and that was not allowed and unacceptable (although Shoji couldn't help but silently question that claim.) The teacher seemed to enjoy the idea of this obviously shy fellow in the Host Club; Shoji could pick up on that glimmer of sadistic amusement and he could appreciate such. Although to have a forced member, he couldn't help but wonder how much of use and how well this boy would perform. But crimson eyes were able to catch the goods beneath the hood with how the teacher was gripping onto him, and discovered that the face of this Saito was quite attractive. In fact, he seemed more like a she, with soft, beautiful features. There was a flicker of lust, but Shoji stamped it down.
Closing his red hues, the young man smiled brightly, opening his arms as though in warm welcome, and exclaimed, "Why, I would be more than happy to take Saito in. We can certainly use new members, sir~"
The teacher seemed pleased by this and released his grip. The boy was barely on his toes and landed fully on his feet, and his head dropped down. Giving an "Excellent. Just what I wanted to hear", the teacher began to walk away, telling the Saito kid about how this would do him some good. Shoji could tell he was bullshitting; he could easily recognize a bully, since... well.
Even when the teacher was out of sight, the student had not moved or said a word, looking utterly defeated, as thought crushed in battle, and Shoji blinked before closing his eyes and smiling down at him. He took note of how the petite boy gave a small flinch when Shoji's hand rested on his shoulder, and the Junior said softly, speaking in Japanese, "Saito-san, how about you go inside and rest for a bit, hm?"
"Ah, um..." the boy blinked and peered up at Shoji, a small look of surprise on his features. Soon enough, his gaze dropped and he murmured, "O... Okay."
This was truly was shy, and exuded a lack of confidence, of fear and uncertainly. Shoji could practically smell it on him. Perhaps if he was another person, he would have felt sorry for Hiroshi. But instead the boy was a potential opportunity, a gain if things went right. Even if he didn't gather much revenue, it wasn't as though any money would be lost from a member. Well, it was unlikely anyway, and the boy didn't seem like the type to stir up commotion, so scaring or putting off customers seemed unlikely. Even if he did, Shoji could just kick him out. He lost absolutely nothing either way from this forced recruit, and not even on Shoji's end.
"I'm Wakeshima Shoji, by the way. I know you must not happy with this situation, forced into joining the club and all, but it is good to meet you either way. It is good to have another Japanese, to be perfectly honest," said he with continued warmth, hand slipping away from the slender shoulder. Patting the boy's back, Shoji gently scooted Hiroshi forward and continued, "We can make the best of this situation, I'm sure, and hopefully you will even come to enjoy your time here~"
Now, if only Shoji could manage to get the boy to uncover himself, if even just a little bit. The air of mystery was fine, and the shyness could be seen as cute, but the face, especially the eyes... those were important. So was presence, but appearance was perhaps more critical, at least initially. Appearance first, substance second. Pursing his lips, Shoji's eyes followed after the boy, who quietly scuffled forward into the room, slowly curling up onto one of the couches, with body language that begged the question, "Whyyyy?"
Shoji had to stifle a snicker.

random dude touching Kat? Haha, no. @tagged Vivi roamed the school halls, 'on patrol' as she called it. It was mostly an excuse she could use now that she was the Third Pillar. Even if it was an excuse, she still beat up any bullies and chewed out any ditchers she came across, so maybe that justified it, right?
After quite a while of this, she stopped and leaned against a wall, checking her phone for text messages when she suddenly heard voices just around the corner.
The violet haired girl pocketed her phone and peered down the hall way in time to see a tall man ushering a small figure into what she believed to be the music room. It was a bit of a stretch, but she only knew one person that tiny who always wore a hoodie covering her head. And seeing her shoved (at least the over-protective Vivi saw it as a shove) into a room sent some alarms off in her head.
Vivi quickly approached the man, stopping a few feet away from him with her arms folded across her chest. She looked up at him, her face mostly calm, but a hint of agitation flickered in her eyes.
"Mind telling me what you're doing with him?" she jerked her head in the direction of the room Katsumi had just entered, "Actually, I don't care if you mind. Tell me."

Catching sight of a swiftly approaching figure from his peripheral vision, the Junior blinked and turned his head in its direction. A violet haired, teenaged girl was making her way towards him, and while her expression was mostly impassive, she clearly had purpose, and whatever that purpose was involved in. And she certainly wasn't overwhelmed with joy to see him.
While not being here long, Shoji made sure to learn of all persons of importance, and so he recognized the girl to be the Third Pillar. Vivian Perish, he recalled her name to be. (An attractive girl, surely, but too powerful for his personal taste. She could fight back, and win.) What did a Pillar want with Shoji? He hadn't done anything wrong, at least nothing that they could possibly know about, and so he couldn't help but be puzzled. But this didn't show across his handsome features, even when she spoke very directly to him. Instead, Shoji closed his eyes and lifted a hand to his hair, scratching the back of his head. Smiling nervously (cutely so), the Host Club leader remarked, "It seems a teacher has a bit of a hard on for Saito there. Mr. Cockrum, I believe. He brought him over to my club and signed him up to join. Something about having to be involved in an extra-curricular activity."
Glancing behind him and down the hall on either side, the Junior then leaned forward towards Vivi, raising his hand to cover the side of his mouth, and spoke in a hushed, friendly tone, "Although between you and me, I think he just wanted to make poor Saito there miserable. Er... Don't tell Cockrum I said that though. Eh heh."
He straightened up, scratching the back of his head again, and then gave a small sigh. Crimson hues slid over to the classroom and sympathy seemed to shine in his eyes.
"I told Saito to lay down. He's got it rough," he remarked. Shoji then looked back to Vivi and gave a warm smile. One that seemed sweetly serene. "Although I'll try and make it easy for him."
Blinking, Shoji then closed his eyes and held his hand out to shake, introducing himself with a bright smile, "Shoji Wakeshima. Junior. I just transferred in, and started a Host Club. Should be fun when it gets going. Haha~"

He doesn't seem so bad... @tagged As Vivi listened to him speak, she felt herself relax a bit. So he wasn't creeping on Katsumi... good. He honestly didn't seem like a bad guy at all, really. Initially just by seeing him with Katsumi, she had a hunch he was up to something, but it occurred to her she was being over-protective. It was just a club, and this guy was just it's leader, right?
Vivi shook the man's hand, careful to keep her grip firm. Weak hand shakes made for poor first impressions, and Vivi didn't like to give off the feeling she was a push over.
"Vivian Perish. It's nice to meet you," she replied, "Oh, you're new? Explains why I haven't seen you before I guess."
She paused for a moment.
"A Host Club... what exactly is that, and why would it make Saito miserable?"

Her grip was firm, and gave just a glimmer of Vivi's strength. Yes, too powerful for his liking. He tended to prefer them meek, weak... But she, no one, needed to know that, and Shoji continued to smile pleasantly, warmheartedly.
"And you, as well," he replied with a nod. "I am. But my little sister, Sayuri Wakeshima... she is a freshman and was here first semester. Perhaps you've seen her?"
He ended that with raised brows briefly, before shrugging his shoulders, hand moving back to his side, the man smiling softly. "Although, she does spend a great deal of time with her music, so maybe not. She's a good girl. Probably hasn't gotten too much attention here, which... well, I suppose that's fortunate. I wouldn't want anybody hurting her."
'Not anyone else...' thought he. Shoji though... why, he was an exception. The junior closed his eyes and smiled brightly.
"My apologies. I didn't mean to go on," he gave a small bow of his head. Shoji's hands moved to his hips, thumbs hooking into the waist band. "Ah. Host clubs. They don't really have those here, do they? Oh, how do I explain it?"
He paused, and then continued, "Essentially... a host club is where people go to pay for company. Conversation. The employees attentively talk to customers, making them feel good. They serve drinks, perhaps food, and show their customers a good time. It's casual and fun, and most customers come to unwind. Or perhaps they are lonely. Whatever the reason, they come, and often again and again, to their favorite host... or hostess, depending on the club. In fact, that's the hope. Repeat customers are who bring the money in."
With a light shrug, Shoji went on, "I worked at a host club back in Japan. There, mostly alcohol is served, but... well, obviously that can't be done here, unfortunately," he ended with a laugh. His hands slipped from his pants and he scratched the back of his head, pursing his lips. "I am still figuring out what will be served, and who will host alongside me."
Crimson hues glanced over to Saito, laying down, miserably curled up on the couch. "As for Saito..." The junior looked back at Vivi. Shoji gave what appeared to be a nervous, kind smile, raising his shoulders. "I may have just met him, but I'm faaaairly certain that is not his cup of tea. Eh heh~"

Hmm... @tagged "I might have... not sure. There are a lot of faces to remember around here," Vivi replied.
She listened to his explanation of host clubs and nodded occasionally. Sounded like a business of some sort... people paying for company, huh? Interesting. When he mentioned it probably wasn't Katsumi's thing, she felt sympathy tugging at her heart strings as well as a little nagging feeling in the back of her head. Maybe she could join as well for Katsumi's sake? Help her feel more comfortable and such. Also, if the place paid, Vivi could definitely always use more money, and if if the job t was at the school, that was even better.
"Eh...? Maybe I could give it a shot so he'd have a friend with him...? That might help," Vivi suggested, but quickly regretted it. What was she getting herself into? This was what happened when you act on impulse like Stormy... she couldn't exactly back out now, though. "Is it a paying job? And do you have to be pretty attractive?"
While some saw Vivi as attractive, the girl rarely looked in the mirror and had always had the idea her looks were plain and average. She could only hope they would be good enough to join and support her friend for the time being. You never knew, maybe they'd just both screw up and get booted out?

{I'm tired. I'm sure this sucks. Sorry. x__x} Shoji blinked and pursed his lips. "Oh? Do you wish to join?
He honestly didn't expect an offer from one of the pillar's. For one of them to join... why, that would be quite good for business, and for him. It was always wise to have those in power close to you. Shoji closed his eyes and smiled brightly.
"That would be fantastic. I would love to have you~!
Shoji opened his eyes and looked down at Vivi, smiling in her eyes and across his lips. Right away she asked about money, and he knew they would get along swimmingly. A woman to his own heart. Well, partially, at least. Money was something very important to him as well. Money and wealth, riches and pleasures.
It is!" Shoji answered enthusiastically with a nod. "Every host will earn a good share of what they earn with each customer. I'll determine the exact percentage when we get more members and before we start."
He continued smiling at Vivi and chuckled lightly. "As for attractiveness level, it's good to have some looks, but dressing up and having a specific style is more important than anything. Looks may draw someone in, but how you come across is what really hooks the customers. Anyone can make themselves look good, but how you carry yourself... now that is key. Having a bit of charm can go a long way, and bring even 'unattractive' men and women good fortune."
If she wouldn't be obviously uncomfortable by it, Shoji would give a friendly pat or two on her shoulder, turning to suggest they move inside the room, before smiling warmly down at her again, closing his eyes. He remarked cheerily, his words kind and holding honesty, reassurance, and warmth, "You certainly don't need to worry, Vivi. You are not only quite pretty, but I have a sense that you will do very well. You are ambitious. I can tell. You'll catch on quickly and do very well, I'm sure."

Hmm... @tagged Shoji seemed rather pleased with the idea of her joining the club. Maybe he was lacking members? In any case, if she joined this thing it wasn't like she’d be shackled to it. If she wanted to leave, she’d leave. It wasn’t a question of who would let her, it was who would stop her. The girl was fairly convinced no one would physically try to keep her in the club, and if they did, she’d curb stomp’em. Vivi was doing this for a friend, and hopefully things would turn out for the best.
“Alright. My main priorities will be helping Saito feel more comfortable in the club and getting a good pay. So I guess that also means pleasing customers as best I can’ll be a priority,” she thought aloud.
Vivi listened as he explained being appealing to customers. She did have a soft side, but she also had a tough front she liked to uphold. If she worked at this club and acted like as much of a bitch as she did on a daily basis it wouldn’t get her many clients…
He patted her shoulder, and she followed him into the room. His optimistic attitude and reassurance was greatly appreciated, but she couldn’t help but be a bit doubtful.
“How I carry myself… so am I just supposed to be super nice? I’m not too good at that,” she mumbled, “Or are you saying, aside from someone’s physical attractiveness, clients choose depending on a host’s character? Like maybe they wanna sit with someone goofy and fun one day, or someone smart and cool the next?”
