[Ooc: Later that night, after confession to Edgar]
Austin had skipped out of school not too long after he had spoken to Edgar Krane. There had just been way too much on his mind to stay. Book learning was one of his least favorite ways to do such a thing. And he couldn't concentrate as it was. Of course his mother still burned like a fresh wound, but Edgar's words had helped him to push it off to the side. He could not faulter.
So immediantly his mind had began to piece together a plan. A course of action in which he hoped would allow his secret to stay secret. It was tough reaching said decision, because it ultimately ended up with him betraying two member's of his MC. One of which was his god father, and the reigning president of The Apex Warriors. Skidz was the other. They were the only two now, apart from Mr. Krane, that knew he had met up with and killed his mother.
The issue was that he did not want to do it alone. But he could not use someone within his own group to help Austin carry his plans out. He needed outside help and Edgar Krane was the only one he could consider. From what Austin gathered, he was intelligent and he guessed he could handle his own physically. But his experience was most valuable.
To Austin this would be a test of trust and loyalty for Edgar. While Austin knew very little of the man himself he hoped to remedy that soon. He did however believe that he could keep a secret. In some way he felt that from his meetings. He had gained something in Austin's eyes, but there was still more before he knew without a doubt that this was a man he needed to have close.
"Yo, Mr. Krane. It's Austin. I want to talk for a little bit. Then I need help with something. Meet me at a bar called 'The Wayfarer', about 10 minutes from the docks. Not too hard to find. See you soon?"

Edgar would answer, a small crunching noise indicating he was eating some potato chips. " Ah! Yes, of course Mr. Huntsman. I'll be there shortly." Edgar would lick his fingers off as he closed the phone, pocketing it and reaching for the napkin sitting on his desk behind his sandwich, which had a single bite remaining. Cleaning his saliva from his fingertips, he would grab his sandwich and down it before locking the computer and coming to his feet. He rolled the top of the bag up and stuck it in a drawer, grabbing his cup of tea and downing it. He burped, took his keys from the bin, and headed out from his office. ********************************************************** The sound of a powerfully rumbling engine could be heard from the parking lot, though probably dully over the sound of the music and generic bar noise. Edgar would turn into a spot next to the bikes, his black Dodge Challenger flickering lights from the building. A few people outside turned to watch the man get out of the car, his white button up shirt hanging loosely over blue jeans and combat boots. He had a smoke in his mouth which he removed, giving a little smile to the women as he walked by. This brought rumbles from the throats of their men but he didn't care. Tossing the smoke, he moved inside and would approach Austin. " Quite the meeting place, Austin. This a usual spot for you?" Edgar knew Austin wasn't old enough to be in here...but he had been to many bars himself udner age. Why be a hypocrite?

"It's my home away from home. Just one of AW's legitimate businesses. Care for a drink?"
Austin had offered, but if Edgar chose to turn it down than Austin would simply order himself a shot as a waitress approached then. A simple 'Thank you, sweetheart' would be said as he moved on to his next subject. There was still time before their little play date he set up.
"So I need some information.. The pillars, who are they? What do you know about them? The way I see it, it is quite possible they could throw a wrench in any of my plans.. I can't have that. I will deal with them myself when the time cones, but anything you could share would be helpful.. I figured at least here you don't have to play the 'I'm just a councillor' game.
There was more he wanted to know, but that would do for the moment. He assumed that Mr. Keane knew of them, maybe even personally. He was still quite curious about Edgar himself, however those questions could wait for a moment or two. Once his shot arrived, Austin would knock it back in seconds and slap the shot glass back down onto the table.

Edgar watched the boy for a moment, measuring him. When the bartender offered him a drink, he held up a hand and shook his head.
"Ginger Ale for me, please."
He had a feeling there was more to this than meets the eye and he didn't want a fuzzy head. The child had brought him to a corner of the map where he felt control for a reason. To exemplify his right to attempt exerting that control over him. Edgar had nothing against the boy, really. In fact, he had come to quite enjoy their little chats. But if Austin thought, even for a moment, that Major Edgar Krane was a force he could control...he was sorely mistaken.
Still, for now, he would play along.
"552 is a school filled with deliquints. I am just a counselor, son. I've listened to stabbings, brutal sessions of torture and rape, as well as various other problems children in those walls have. Yes, that includes problems like yours."
He wasn't lying about hearing those things- he had recorded sessions with almost every student there. He just..stretched the truth when he said he was just a counselor. He was, technically...but only for now.
"Not that I mind sating your curiosity. The Pillars are School Captain Mark Kent, First Pillar Saya Shinrai, Second Pillar Ali and Third Pillar Alvan Ibrahim. All are great fighters, all have very different personalities and backgrounds, and all are much, much stronger than you. What else is there you wish or need to know about them?"
He would take a sip of his drink, waiting for the questions to be forthcoming.

"Anything. Weaknesses.. Maybe even class schedules, or daily routines. As you told me before, Edgar. Knowledge is a powerful tool. I come to you because I trusted you enough to tell you what I had done.. I think you have more access to that kind of information than I do at the moment."
Austin would sift into his pocket and pull out a pack of cigarettes, resting them vertically as he pulled one from the pack. He would lean back a little bit as he lit up a smoke, inhaling then exhaling through his nose. His elbows would drop to the table soon after as he leaned closer toward Mr. Krane and spoke again.
"I'm not asking for it all now- You can put it in writing or on a usb, I'm not retarded, I can read. That was just a little business I wanted to get outta the way. I'm actually more interested in you man, You seem like a man with stories.
There was sincerity in his voice when he spoke. Austin wasn't lying about wanting to know the man more. Oddly enough, he was actually beginning to feel a little better about being around him. Maybe he believed his confession might have brought them a little closer in some way. Or maybe he was making a mistake. For now though, he wanted to rest a little before there was more business to take care of.

Edgar watched the boy speak, insisting that he just wanted to know a little more about Edgar. Mr. Krane could respect that, but despite the sincerety, knew he was in hostile territory. And he wasn't referencing the bar- he meant New York in general. He had no allies here, and for the leader of a gang to bring him into his house while school was out sent a message. That "Knuckles" had plans. He almost smiled at it. He was taking his advice and trying his best to turn it around on Edgar. Perhaps part of him even meant what he said- but whether he realized it or not, just the act of trying to dig showed he'd thought about it and adapted.
"I respect that. But you must understand, Mr. Huntsman, that while I am a counselor, I have plans of my own. And though I am touched at the courtesy and trust you are showing me, I can't offer my services currently, beyond being your counselor and friend."
At least in regards to himself and his past, as well as his future goals. Still, Austin had asked about the Pillars as well, and Edgar thought of a few things he could tell him that would harm his own desires, or goals. He would seem to think a moment.
"I can, however, give you a little information about the Pillars at least. Nothing substantial, as the school year just started, but enough to work with. You have Alvan and Ali. They are nearly a tandem pair- they work hand in hand in most things. Alvan is strong and fast, but not too bright. He looks to Ali for orders on most things. Ali covets the positions above him, though he seems quite kind. Which, in truth I suppose, he is. He just doesn't respect the Captain or First Pillar for how they handle, or don't handle, certain things."
He gave the bartender a thank you as he delivered his drink, taking a little sip from it. He would continue after.
"Saya Shinrai and Mark Kent are peas in a pod yet almost polar opposites. Despite rumors and assumptions, they have never fought. In fact, many people believe if they did, the First Pillar would come out on top, which is one reason I assume they haven't. Saya is brutal, and effecient. She is an honor student, though anyone who hasn't seen the documentation wouldn't know it. Likes books, and art. Never even seen her on a computer. Mark, on the other hand, cares about one thing- combat. He has fought everyone in the school, almost, and has grown so bored of beating people he doesn't even try when he fights them anymore. And that includes the fight he had with you. Had he been trying, you would probably be in the hospital, and it wouldn't have lasted as long as it did. If it comes down to a scrap, don't face them without several others at your back. You will lose. At least right now, anyway."
Edgar took another drink, then shrugged.
"Anything else, as far as schedules and the like, I don't know. I don't have the time to memorize them."

The outlaw took mental notes about everything Edgar was saying when it came to the pillars, but he felt slightly jaded by the fact that Mr. Krane here wasn't very fourth coming about himself. Who could blame him though? Austin was generally a scum-bag and criminal. It could be hard to trust someone like him unless you truly knew him.
"Mark was strong.. I'll give the bastard that. But he is human. I will deal with him myself when the time comes."
Maybe those words were said with too much confidence. Austin was never going to admit that he had been outclassed. As far as he concerned, he gave the dude more trouble than many ever have. And as much as he hated the fact that he had lost, it had given him a reason to focus harder and improve himself even more. All this thought about fighting had pushed Austin to throw another request at Edgar.
"A little off-topic, but.. You bein' in the military and all, I bet you got a handle on your shit. Think maybe you can help me improve my game a bit?"
Austin was going to search out anyone he thought could help him out. And right now, this guy was at the top of his list. Part of him really wanted the help, however if he declined it wouldn't deter Austin. It would just force him to put his faith in someone else. Hopefully, he wouldn't have to do that. It would be hard for anyone to gain Austin's respect as Mr. Krane had done.

Edgar cocked an eyebrow. The statement about Mark didn't surprise him- The School Captain was king of the hill, and everyone was gunning for him or would be eventually. The request for training was a surprise, however. He had heard of Austin fighting many people, but hadn't actually thought to test him. Edgar thought for a moment, wondering how this could fit well in his plans. Austin seemed...so eager to please him. To have Edgar be a part of his life.
Perhaps he could use that to his advantage.
He put a hand on Austins shoulder.
"I would be more than happy to teach you a few things, Mr. Huntsman. Just don't go telling people that Uncle Krane is handing out lessions. I don't want to start a martial arts dojo."
He offered a smoothe grin.

Something of a smile formed on Austin's face at the response he received. He was actually happy hearing him say yes. It wasn't often he asked someone to help him out in such a personal way, but he was glad he had. He knew that he would only grow stronger under tutelage from Edgar. While he hadn't seen him in action, Austin could read him enough to tell he wasn't just a desk jockey counsellor for the school.
"Hah. Don't worry, Unk. I won't tell anyone.. And I'd prefer it if you did the same. I don't usually ask these kinds of things.. We can find some time soon."
Shifting again in his seat, he would reach into his pocket again to pull out his burner phone, checking the time. Those hazel hues would lift once again too meet Edgar's before Austin would take another drag from his cigarette and flick the ashes into the ashtray on the table. He would then speak, his voice a little lower as if he was making sure that no one from his own crew could accidentally hear in the bar.
"So.. The other day, remember when we were talking about loose ends? Guess one end was looser than I thought.. Three of my warehouse locations have been compromised. I figured out who it was.. I got him held up somewhere nearby. But that bastard, Skidz.. He's a tough little asshole. He isn't spilling who he told.. I really need to know. It's important to find whoever he told, before they come for what's mine.."
Austin would inhale another.puff of smoke, before exhaling it and dropping the cherry against the ashtray, leaving the remains as he folded his arms and rested against the back of his chair again. Part of Austin was still struggling with allowing an outsider into his personal circle. And he had never been great with asking for another mans help with much of anything.
"I could use your assistance.."

Edgar slowly set his glass down. Was Austin trying to insinuate that a teacher at their school help him torture someone for information? He would remain silent for a bit, processing this new request. He would put an arm on the bar and look out at the people inside, as though wondering how many people, exactly, would overhear that conversation.
"I make a point, Mr. Huntsman, of never letting people place me in situations where I have the least amount to gain and the most to lose. Lets, for instance, say that I was a hidden enemy of yours. I think we both know that isn't the truth but lets just...play pretend. You need somehow, to take me from being your enemy to being your friend. You put me in a compromising situation, get record of it, and put it over my head without my care to how I might feel about it."
He picked up his glass and took another drink, offering a small smile.
"It's no offense intended for you, nor is it a judge of your character. But you and I...we're not that close of friends yet, for me to help you with a situation like that. Perhaps in the future, but not now. Believe me when I say, though, that there are many creative ways to get someone to talk. You'll think of something."
Just earlier, Edgar had gotten Austin on film confessing to his mothers murder. Edgar would not put himself in a similarly compromising situation, where he might be filmed torturing a person, who may or may not be innocent, in order to give Austin some form of control. He didn't know if that was the childs intentions but he had no desire to find out.
"You stop by my office later this week, and we'll go few rounds, see where you're at. Until then, Austin, try not to get yourself killed."
He would grin and pat the boy on the back once, grabbing his glass and downing it before moving like he would head for the door.

"Suure. That sounds like a plan then. I'll catch you around."
Edgar was smart. It was true Austin had something similar to what he spoke of planned. However he knew now for sure that wouldn't happen. Austin would think of something else down the line. Standing up, he would grab his cigarettes, following Edgar out the door. Those eyes would fall upon the sweet ride parked outside.
However he would only admire the vehicle for a few seconds before his phone would begin to blow up. A few text messages before it would start to ring. Austin would light up a cigarette just before he answered the call, ears perking up over the roar of engines and other chit chat outside.
"Jesus, Prez! Some assholes fire-bombed our warehouses, Knux.. You need to get your ass to the docks!"
"DAMN IT! Too fuckin' late.."
Austin continued to swear as he rushed away from the guidance counsellor and his car, jumping o to his bike before he started the engine and tore off and down the road. It was clear something bad had happened, and now he had to go clean all the bullshit up and find out exactly what went wrong. This night had not gone as planned.

Edgar would pause with his door open, watching Austin make a break for it and take off on the bike. He thought about following along to see what the issue might be...but with Austin displaying that he had taken Edgar's words to heart, the elder Krane would be far more wary of the boy. Proud, but wary. He had to use him wisely. He would light himself up another smoke and hop into his car, rolling down the window a bit. He rolled it down all the way, however, when he saw the woman from earlier still standing there, her man having taken off.
Edgar would grin. A little game, perhaps. He would waggle his finger forward, having her come over to the car. She was a gorgeous brunette, and after speaking with her for a while teasingly, she would be hopping in the car with him to head back to his place for a little fun.
If the woman was with someone in Austin's gang, he could test the boy. If he wasn't, then Edgar got laid anyway. Win win.
His engine roared as he backed out, and made his way home.
