A brand new group is on the making, The Apostles, a Pillar-like group led by none other than our brand new headmaster, Gregoire Girard. A student body that would lead students and enforce the law on this little school of ours. Little is still known about this student body, but who knows? It might just be what the school needs.

A lunch box is seen last Friday, around 12:37:08pm with an encouraging note packed inside. This appalling display that utterly lacked manliness has left many students stunned and outrage, as some decided, after a long while, to speak out against it.

[OoC: Lock your stats in your first post. The stats you begin the tournament with are the stats you will end the tournament with. No items of any kind, and no Qi allowed. Participants must post within 24 hours of each other. Failure to do so leads to disqualification. If there is no clear winner within five days of the fight being posted, it will be decided by Staff through a grading rubric. This is a no holds barred fight, so if you feel the need to break some limbs, you go ahead and break some limbs. Post your entrance in the first round, and go ahead and start fighting as soon as you like. Let's get crackin'.]
The participants of the tournament would be hit by blinding lights as doors opened before them, revealing the large arena they would be fighting in. Despite being an underground ring, the audience was large an the venue looked rather expensive, the cage itself looking like out of UFC. The cage itself was roughly ten yards in width, making a pentagonal shape. The floor remained padded, but that was the extent of the protection the fighters were going to get.
"Iiiiin the red corner, we have the Specter of #552, who - in spite of his name - is one of the friendliest fists you'll find, VALOOOOOOOOOOOO MOREEEEEEI!" The crowd roared out loudly, and the announcer waited to announce the second combatatan. "Iiiiin the blue corner, #552's Shield, he's mean, he's green, LEXINGTOOOOOON STEEEEEEEEEEEEL!"[/b] Once more, the crowd would cheer as the combatants entered the cage from either side. The announcer would eye them both with a smug grin on his face. "Remember champs, it ain't over till one of you taps or just caaaan't get back up! BAREKNUCKLE BEATDOOOWN! LET'S GOOOOOOO!"
With that, the announcer stepped back to the edge of the cage and threw a flag down to signify that the fight had begun.

Specter, huh?
Valo stepped into the ring as the crowd roared, taking a moment to adjust to the lights. He was a little irked that his fists were labeled as 'friendly', but he figured he would just have to prove that wrong through this fight. He didn't sign up for a tournament to be friendly, he signed up to win.
His opponent was Lexington, it was a man of whom he had heard much about around the school, and had seen him a couple of times before. Unfortunately, he had never come into contact with him... until now. Now Valo, someone who failed to grab the mantle of Pillar, could fight the Second Pillar. If he was someone of Vivi's, Shugo's, or Macht's caliber, then he knew he would have quite the fight ahead of him.
Bandages around his hands and feet, and a pair of red boxing shorts on, Valo was ready for the fight to begin. As he stared over at Lexington, he felt he had to give his all with this opponent, lest he end up smashed into the floor.
"Best of luck, Lexington. I'm going to give this my all."
He placed his hands up near his face, crouching down slightly at the knees before bouncing up and down in place. He was getting ready to move, just in case Lex attacked first.

Lexington walked into the ring wearing a yellow T-shirt that said 'Gold's Gym' across the front, boxing shorts for quick movement and he was also wearing boxing shoes that came up to his shins. On his right ear was a mouth piece. Stepping into the ring, Lexington looked straight at Valo. "Finally we get our 1 on 1 man" Lexington pulled his mouthpiece out from his ear and inserted it. The crowd roaring didn't affect him. In the ring it was just you and your guy and you needed to just do your job or you could get messed up badly. "Lesh gooo" Lexington advanced towards Valo with his palms up in front of his face, left palm at face level, right palm at chest level, having already seen some of what he can do in a fight, Lexington started easy and went for a low left kick to the back of Valo's right thigh.

Valo grinned, realizing that Lex was looking forward to this one on one as much as he was. As much renown as Lex had around the school, Valo was sure his own infamy paled in comparison. But Lex remembered him, and now that they were alone in the ring, they could remedy the fact they didn't get to fight when Shugo was attacked before.
As Lex approached, Valo watched him closely, keeping his guard up and looking to see what kind of attack could be coming. There! He saw the low kick coming in, stepping backwards quickly to narrowly avoid it as the kick grazed his leg barely. Landing on his feet, he'd quickly rebound and rush forward at Lex again, planning on delivering a hard right straight at his chest. WORDS ● TAGGED ● NOTES

Valo barely escaped the low kick, Lexington was actually kind of relieved because he had no clue what he was going to really follow up with. Stopping his foot and resetting his feet, Lexington switched his stance, but kept his body level. Making a smooth transition into southpaw stance.
Valo was quick no doubt about that, when he struck a hard right aimed for what seemed like his chest, Lexington's football instinct flared. Just like he would in a game, Lexington waited just a tad and used his right hand to deliver a powerful palm strike towards Valo's clavicle, also making sure to breathe when he struck at Valo. Lexington's reason for waiting an extra second or two was to use his longer arms to hit Valo, before he could hit Lex.

Lex was definitely a clever fighter, and Valo didn't take into account his longer limbs when making his initial strike. Lex's palm would hit Valo in the collar bone, and he'd fall back onto his feet, stumbling backwards and wincing a bit from the pain. It hurt like a bitch, but he wasn't going to give Lex that satisfaction just yet.
"My turn."
Valo would turn on his left heel, bringing his body around to deliver a spinning back kick with his right leg aimed for Lex's solar plexus, aiming to knock the wind out of him with his next strike. WORDS ● TAGGED ● NOTES

As Valo stumbled backwards, Lexington began to bob back and forth like he was in a boxing match. When Valo pivoted on his heel, Lex moved forward. With a leg in the air, theres not much room to correct an error. Having advanced towards Valo, Lex lifted his left arm and timed his movements carefully. Lexington moving forward prevented Valo from getting off a clean kick, Lex would take the remainder of the kick, but wrap his left arm down on Valo's leg in the area of his shin so he couldn't try to kick loose.
First Lexington would attempt to jerk backwards, throwing Valo's balance off terribly, almost like Valo would be going down into an uncomfortable split. Next, Lexington would try to strike Valo with his right fist, aiming for the exposed side of his kneecap, not in an effort to break his kneecap, but to cause immense pain. With the leg in his possession still, Lexington would start to back pedal and follow the perimeter of the ring, while he was back pedaling, Lexington would continue striking Valo's kneecap and alternate with a few right fist strikes to the thigh. Essentially Valo was being dragged around in an endless circle while Lexington struck his kneecap numerous times. "Tap out man, I can drag you in a circle all day long, it'll only get worse" If successful, the time it took Lexington to complete one circle around the ring would amount to 20 strikes to Valo's knee cap.

Lexington capitalized on Valo's kick, and there wasn't much he could do (that would allow him to keep his leg in one piece) to get out of it. Being a simple tournament, rather than a life or death situation, he wasn't willing to break his leg just to get a strike in at Lex, nor did he want Lex to break his leg if Valo continued to resist.
Having put himself in this bad position, Valo gritted his teeth as his arms broke his fall to the ground as Lexington began to drag him and beat on his leg. It seemed he wasn't willing to let go or give Valo any leeway, and he had no choice. He tapped out his hand onto the floor several times so that Lexington would stop wailing on him.
"Alright, alright! I give!"
It wasn't worth losing his leg here. If Lex let him go, Valo would roll over his hands and knees and pant heavily, hating himself for losing already. His leg was throbbing like crazy, and he figured he'd have a bit of difficulty walking for a while, it was probably gonna have several bruises all over it too. No matter how much he trained his body, he didn't have any formal fighting experience, and it was due to that that he lost so quickly.
"... I still have a long ways to go, you showed me that."
He looked up at Lexington. This makes the third Pillar that he had lost too. The only one he hadn't lost to yet was Shugo. He sighed, standing up to his feet slowly and holding his hand out towards Lexington to shake.
"I wasn't planning on going down that quick... but next time, I'll put up a much better fight. I can promise you that. As for now... you better win this tournament. I'll be rooting for you."
He couldn't lose like this again. WORDS ● TAGGED ● NOTES

Lexington paused when Valo tapped out. He let go of Valo's leg and waited for him to stand up. Watching him rise from what could probably be guessed as a painful ride, Lexington accepted his handshake and settled the match "I guess you could say it was fun while it lasted. Hopefully sometime down the road we can have a better fight. Thanks for the support" With that, Lexington and Valo's match would end. All they had to do was wait for the announcer.

"Well THAT was quick!" The announcer shouted, and the audience responded with a mixture of cheers and boos at the two fighters. A grin on his face, the man gave the two a pat on the back before taking Lex's hand and holding it over his head.
"LET'S HEAR IT FOR LEXINGTOOOOOON STEEEEEEEEEEEEEL!"
---
Lexington wins by tap-out. Both fighters receive +1 exp. Lexington advances to round two.
