A lunch box is seen last Friday, around 12:37:08pm with an encouraging note packed inside. This appalling display that utterly lacked manliness has left many students stunned and outrage, as some decided, after a long while, to speak out against it.

[OoC: Lock your stats in your first post. The stats you begin the tournament with are the stats you will end the tournament with. No items of any kind, and no Qi allowed. Participants must post within 24 hours of each other. Failure to do so leads to disqualification. If there is no clear winner within five days of the fight being posted, it will be decided by Staff through a grading rubric. This is a no holds barred fight, so if you feel the need to break some limbs, you go ahead and break some limbs. Post your entrance in the first round, and go ahead and start fighting as soon as you like. Let's get crackin'.]
The participants of the tournament would be hit by blinding lights as doors opened before them, revealing the large arena they would be fighting in. Despite being an underground ring, the audience was large an the venue looked rather expensive, the cage itself looking like out of UFC. The cage itself was roughly ten yards in width, making a pentagonal shape. The floor remained padded, but that was the extent of the protection the fighters were going to get.
"Iiiiin the red corner, we have the prettiest little fucker you've ever seen, this man takes his hair more seriously than Patriots take freedom, MARCELIIIIS LUHCROOOOOTCH!" The crowd roared out loudly, and the announcer waited to announce the second combatant. "Iiiiin the blue corner, a sasquatch comin' up and outta nowhere, MUSASHIIII HATOOOORIIIIIIIIIIIII!" Once more, the crowd would cheer as the combatants entered the cage from either side. The announcer would eye them both with a smug grin on his face. "Remember champs, it ain't over till one of you taps or just caaaan't get back up! BAREKNUCKLE BEATDOOOWN! LET'S GOOOOOOO!"
With that, the announcer stepped back to the edge of the cage and threw a flag down to signify that the fight had begun.

Here we go again...
This wasn't the first time Musashi had found himself in a situation like this. It was only a few months ago that he had entered himself into another tournament that involved a lot of people from 552. He didn't have much luck the first time out. He almost had the guy, but the fight ended before he could finally make his move and he ended up losing the fight. Come to think of it Musashi hasn't seen the guy since. Perhaps before the year ended he could meet up with the guy and have a friendly rematch.
For now that was all in the past and he had to focus on the fight that he was going to be entering now. He had just come home from his training and he needed to see how far he had gotten. From the looks of things many people he was above were clearly above him now. Well at least according to their status in the school now. Maybe all the multitasking he was doing along with his brother kept him from achieving the strength he had hope to obtain during his time away from the school.
"Alright.... Lets see how far I have come."

"This time... I am going all out. Sorry Orion, should I break the seal?" **Marcelis heard his silly announcement, of course everyone digs his hair, and never understand it takes about a thousand strokes a night-- Let's not go into that, and keep focus shall we? Ahem, now. This was a more normal fight, no guys with crutches and such, just some good one on one action. And he likes it. Well, by first sight you wouldn't think that he would, but he does, possibly even more than Cereza. She was the more calculating one, and Orion made him emulate such behavior, to teach him more restraint. But if anything, he can't afford to do that now... not in this fight. He walked into the cage and his bare chest exposed to the light shine into the ring. He was wearing hand wraps and shorts, the best he could do in this situation as he saw his opponent enter the ring after them. And now he awaits... for any sign, to explode. To rush, to get going, the water splashed on his body was not to wake him up... It was to cool him down, he was going to be the aggressor in this fight... "Come on... Come on... Let's go!" **Before the flag waved down as he started to bounce on the balls of his feet, staring forward at his opponent. He started in a new stance that he normally would be in. His left arm would bent at the elbow, with a loose fist and forearm swinging across his . It would be like the pendulum swing with certain rhythm. His right arm bent at the elbow as his loose right fist sit a little close his face. His body quickly dashed forward as he had his left side facing Musashi. He moved only when the flag went down and not a second later... he reached HIS maximum distance and threw left jab. It came to him like a whip, swinging and cracking at the tip to hit his face. If it landed, he would throw a couple more to get the ball rolling, he was seeing what his opponent can do. ~Not yet... Not yet.~.:OOC:. Str/20 Dex/20 Con/20 Wis/20 Int/14

Here we go...
This place definitely had a huge upside. The problems with most fights was that there was just too much running away and countering. Which of was going to be expected in this fight, but the difference would be the lack of running room. It would be like gorilla warfare, this was going to be a quick straight up fight. Well at least he hoped it would be. He didn't really know the guy he was up against, but he had seen him twice before. So that had to cont for something right? Maybe not.
Marcelis was already in his stance and he seemed like he was ready to fight. From the looks of it the guy had to have some kind of training into boxing which was pretty cool. He hadn't seen to many people who used that in fighting. Musashi would do his best ti imitate the same stance, whether or not it was going to be effective simply did not matter. He was sure that there was no way in hell that it had the same stability, but Marcelis didn't know that. As soon as the flag went down the guy would come in with the first strike.
This guy was definitely bold and you could see that he was definitely going to try to set the tone for the fight. He didn't know the guy like that, but he liked him already. This was going to be a good fight indeed. His first move consisted of a left jab aimed at the top of his head. The guy was smart and measured the distance perfectly. His arm was in reach just enough to hit him, and his body was far away enough to protect his body from any openings. Musashi was a big fan of chess and from the looks of it this was definitely going to be a chess match. He was going to have to make sure that he was careful with every move he made.
Musashi would dodge the quick jab by ducking down a little to his right while shifting his head slightly to the right. He was sure that the guy didn't expect the punch to land and was probably looking to really cause havoc during his next move. Regardless Musashi would be quick to make his next move. Immediately after moving out the way of the jab he would take a quick left step forward and would attempt a right straight leg kick to Marcelis's left knee using momentum from the movement of his left leg.
Musashi didn't expect this kick to land, but the goal was to have Marcelis play his game instead of having himself play his way of fighting. The move was a safe one, because if Marcelis moved out of the way he would able to quickly plant his kicking leg back to the ground because of the short distance of the kick. This didn't mean that he was out of danger, the move just meant he wouldn't be off balance and left open without any way of getting out.

**Attempting to gauge a distance is a little tricky for Mars. He was actually near-sighted, so he might have believe that the jab would be safe enough to be able to retract back to put him on a better footing. Everything is all in planning, sadly Marcelis needed a little more time to get his bearings to what he was up against, getting hit was in part of the job. The opening move was a simple one, but rather effective one. If anyone would know boxing, he was copying a very famous welterweight champion, Tommy "The Hitman" Hearns. And for his long reach and lanky limbs, he was able to control the range and fight with just one punch a modified version of the original jab, the infamous "Flicker" Jab. Not many was able to master it, and Orion thought with Marcelis long arms, the jab would prove to be quite the useful tool. Of course, he did know that Mars likes to in-fight, but he didn't know the true reason why... Which would probably piss him off later if he found out. The jab was little shallow, but the power wasn't in the impact, more of the whip-like motion it resembles. When it rolls out and "snaps" the hit can cause a bit of stun and even cause swelling if landing on the same spot. But sadly, the flicker didn't and his opponent, Musashi was able to get under it. Marcelis eyes brighten up as he thought he was going to get in closer, but to no dice, he went for a safe leg kick, it wasn't a bad counter of course. IN all honestly he would have done the same in the different circumstances. He cocked the left fist back as his schoolmate went for the low leg kick, aimed at his left knee, Marcelis respond in tow... "Tch... Alright..." **The low leg kick was checked by lifting it up and blocking the side of his shin. The impact would be lessen as Marcelis would be able to plant the foot down and keep his stance, any other boxer would not have known what to do, maybe dodge back? Well that would seem like a safe assessment, but Mars was trained differently. He traditionally trained Karate, so checking kicks were not a fore-long thought. And with that he didn't have to get himself into a bad position. As he put his leg down, he would use his right leg to initiate a side-step sliding away but towards Musashi's right side. When landing quickly, he would pivot just a bit to have his left side face Musashi's right side. He would be slightly closer where he would throw another flicker at his right temple. If that landed, he would take a quick step forward to release a left compact hook to the body, around the solar plexus. The Jab could cause him to stumble a bit away from him which would have Mars take a step in to land the hook. From there a right fist to the jaw, a right cross if you will... It would be a small combination. ~Hope you ready for the long haul buddy...~

Alright, everything is going just as planned... Time for the fighting to really begin.
Typically in situations like these people were very hesitant to make any sudden moves that could possible lead them to getting hit. This usually prolonged the fight longer than usual, and quite frankly, Musashi didn't have the time for that kind of fight. The guy would manage to block his low kick with the side of his shin. He didn't know that the guy was going to choose that as a means of countering, but it showed the that the guy might be knowledgeable in other areas of fighting. The guy wouldn't hesitate to make his next move as he side stepped to 'his' left side and went in for a quick flicker to his 'left' temple.
Usually in situations like this the opponent, which was himself would attempt to try to dodge. The keyword was definitely try. At this point they were too close to start dodging each others hits efficiently. Mars or himself weren't Dragonball Z characters so completely dodging was out the question. However, what he could do was lessen the punishment of the blow by 'attempting' to dodge. Which is exactly what Musashi would do. "Aargh!" A grunt would escape his mouth as he quickly attempted to take a small right step backward so he could lean back to dodge. The 'flicker' would graze against his temple.
But it would still be enough to knock his heads backward a little leaving him in somewhat of a daze from the impact, and the sudden movement to try to get out of the way from it. The first hit has been landed.. From here Musashi had to make sure that he acted fast so that he could recover from the hit to the temple, but Mars definitely had other plans. This guy was truly a boxer, and he didn't hesitate to try to capitalize off the hit that he had just gotten on him.
The next strike was going to be a hook to his solar plexus. This guy was the real deal, and definitely someone he would definitely try to link up with for another fight later. Musashi would counter this hook by shifting his body to 'his' left while side stepping to the right with his planted right leg. The punch that he had thrown would graze his stomach area that was sure to leave some abdominal pain as the fight went on. Two hits for him.... Now its time to get one hit from me. By taking advantage of his counter and the position that Mars would be in from slightly stepping forward with the hook he would attempt to throw a quick, but fully extended jab to Mars funny bone in his left elbow.
If this were to land this was going to send a extremely painful shock to his elbow and his arm, and would make him unable to his that arm efficiently for quite a while throughout the fight which could give him a huge advantage. Not to mention the shock would prompt Mars into immediately pulling his left arm back as a reflex. If his perfectly time counter was to be a success he would plant his left leg backwards and would attempt a sweeping right kick aiming for the guys 'left' hip bone while he was reacting to the pain in his funny bone.

"Participants must post within 24 hours of each other. Failure to do so leads to disqualification."
Due to taking over 36 hours to respond to the fight, Musashi Hattori is disqualified and Marcelis Lacroix wins by default. Marcelis moves on to round two. Both fighters receive +1 Exp for their bout.
