The place was as huge as usual, and Himeko is once again momentarily stunned by the enormous manor that her aunt and her friend Raina lived in. Her phone was at a shockingly low percentage, so her white earbuds were safely tucked in her pocket alongside with her locked phone. She likes this place, it's been her escape from loneliness whenever she was small, never mind the fact that she had to find a ride here from Pennsylvania when she still lived there. Her mind goes back to those times once again, where she had bused and hitchhiked and flew the long but not too long distance from the two states. She remembers busing had always had some weird people there somewhere along the line, and it was mildly hilarious, the amount of people she had seen that suddenly burst out laughing out of nowhere [not as if she laughed with them when they laughed] and the ones cosplaying that she had undoubtedly complimented. She especially loved hitchhiking and flying, because truckers were always so interesting and flying had her so high she always felt giddy either way.
Himeko grins at the thought, because it was always a fun adventure here, and now here she is, living in New York so she can reach this place with such ease now.
She realizes she's just been standing at the doorway this whole time, so she raises a closed fist to rap on the door. She rings the doorbell afterwards for good measure, because there was the chance that her knock would be left unheard in this manor, while the doorbell would resound throughout the halls and rooms.
There's a beat of silence before the door opens with a quiet creak, and she smiles softly at the woman who's standing before her, hair blonde like her father but eyes warm in the way his never was. "Himeko, it's been too long!" The woman pulls her into a hug, and Himeko finds her chest feeling all fluffy as she hugs back her aunt. Rose was kind and protective, and she reminded her of her mother.
"'Ello there, Aunt Rose." She greets back easily, stepping back to give her aunt a small but still polite bow. "Missed you too, is Raina here too?" It's been quite a while since she's seen the girl but a year older than her and had her face squished into the girl's boobs. Himeko isn't jealous of how well-endowed her good friend is at all, they seem like a hassle to run and flip in to her, and from her experience, hugging people the way her and Raina was used to was such a marshmallow induced-- She doesn't know what word to use for that, actually, marshmallow like pillow, perhaps? Yes. A marshmallow like pillow that mildly choked her and squished her and was so soft it reminded her of a mattress.
She would look up, step in the house and see if she could find Raina to give the girl a hug, it was how they usually greeted each other anyways, and well, she loved hugs and didn't have any intention to change their little greeting. "Raaiinnnaa, where are you?"
