Leon listened to the conversation from the cell call, seemed it wasn't much hassle which made Leon feel better. However Phoebe asked what he meant by his previous comment. He wasn't sure how to answer right away.
"They say when people fight, they learn about each other and themselves. It's true and its the best way for me, growing up the way I did."
Leon would explain first.
"But that same upbringing made me hard, cold, everything you see in Saya right now. I didn't fight people to learn about them or enjoy the fight. I faught to destroy, for power. I was angry, focused. But then everything happened and I changed."
Leon paused as he thought.
"I thought I changed. I don't know who I really am."

Phoebe would be quiet as Leon explained, her eyes roaming towards the door as he mentioned Saya's disposition. She sighed and looked back.
"...true change takes time. But. Being aware it's probably still an issue is much better than not being aware. Or worse: denying it. Right? And...you genuinely wish to change? So, that'll help. But, I have a question~ How did you try going about it when you first were working on changing and getting better..?"

Leon thought on it, looking back he had to ponder this, at first he had only taken the first steps, remaining aware that the old him was right there, around the corner... Waiting for him to slip.
"In truth, I don't know what I did outwardly. I simply stayed aware, and I guess... Focused my honor on something else."

"Then that's a good thing to focus on again, for now, right? At least...while you find your true motivation for change? 'Cause willpower is a good thing! But I know I always do better when something motivates me."
She would give him a gentle smile. Encouraging. Much like she did for Allen. It may help more than anything else. And anything that helped, she was all for, in the end.
