"... and you'll have to substitute 'x' with 23, like so. That would allow you to find the variable in this equation..."
Valo was sitting at home next to Hailey, helping her with her homework. Rather, everything she did was homework, as she was home schooled, but Valo did his best to help her further her education in the same manner that he had himself his entire life. She wasn't in a healthy enough condition to go to a public school, and Valo spent any time he wasn't training or studying helping her out. It was time that he definitely didn't regret, as he very much enjoyed the company of his little sister.
"...I think I understand. Thank you, Adrian." She looked up at him and smiled, and he ruffled her hair. "I think I have it from here." She said, and she hugged Valo before he got up and left the room.
In his lab, Valo was standing and leaning onto a sturdy table, typing commands into the computer. He was attempting to, theoretically, make a vaccine based on the knowledge he had gathered thus far on genetic experimentation in an effort to save his sister's life from the disease that was crippling her body. Trying another set of formulas, he attempted to combine them and he watched the program work... they looked as though they were working... and then it failed. It wasn't enough yet. "Damn it... what am I missing?" He muttered in disappointment, pacing around his lab with his hands on his face. He spent years trying to figure this out, and the answers still eluded him, no matter how much smarter he got. All of the intelligence in the world meant nothing if it couldn't help him save her. He was pulled from his thoughts by an alarm on the computer going off. One of his targets of interest was spotted out in the open. He quickly went to grab his bow and vigilante equipment, no sooner getting the hood over his head when he heard a scream coming from inside the house. "Hailey!"
Valo rushed out of his lab and to the stairs, where he saw soldiers wearing familiar armor attempting to come up the steps. He quickly nocked an arrow and fired it at them, a blinding light would come out and hinder their eyesight. Valo's own visor would prevent the light from hurting his eyes, and he would take advantage of this time to rush in and strike quickly at each other their heads with his bow, taking them down. He rushed downstairs into the room where Hailey was, finding a squadron around her, holding her hostage. "Let her go!"They didn't comply, instead rushing Valo and attempting to strike him with their batons. He deflected what blows he could using his bow, striking them with it in response. He dropped two more soldiers, and a third charged and shoulder rammed Valo, to which he quickly pulled an arrow out of his quiver and stabbed the guy in the back. He screamed before Valo punched him in the face and knocked him out. "Most impressive, for such an insignificant whelp such as yourself... Subject Zero."Valo looked at the commander, the man holding his hands up as lightning surged from them. Subject Zero? No matter. Valo was going to take this guy down, and then beat answers out of him, and then beat him all over again for Hailey. As Valo lifted his bow and prepared to nock another arrow, lightning shot out of the commander's hand and struck Valo's bow, sending it flying away. Valo flinched for a moment before pointing his arm crossbow, firing a bolt and striking the guy in the shoulder. He trucked through it as if nothing phased him and tackled Valo to the ground, holding him down and sending electricity through his body. Valo screamed in pain before blacking out, the last thing he saw was Hailey reaching for him...
Valo woke up in a daze, laying on his front side against the cold, stone floor. He groaned in pain as he attempted to push himself up, managing to sit up after enough effort. His head was spinning, and he was feeling sore and groggy. His eyesight focused enough to see he was in a cell of some kind. The place looked sort of high tech. Looking at himself, he saw he was wearing only his vigilante outfit, but his gear was stripped from him, including his bow. ( pretty much this, but red). "Hailey?" He looked around for a moment, not seeing her anywhere. He was panicking suddenly. He got up to his feet, removing his hood as he approached the door to the cell, placing his hands on it and pulling, noting how sturdy it was. Damn, it wouldn't be easy to get out. Damn it... but my sister...Valo hit the door hard with his fist. A loud noise would reverberate through the cell, but there wasn't much more than a small dent. Clenching his fist tightly, Valo would start to strike at the same spot repeatedly, harder and harder with every throw of his fist. There was no result though. This thing was built good. "Damn it... I have to get her out of here... I have to find Hailey..." 887 words total thus far ● Macht Stärke ● let's do this shit

| fuck this shit All i wanted was a pizza.
It was one of those nights where Louie wasn't staying over, so Macht had the house to himself. He'd spent his day doing normal things like working out and playing video games, and as the night drew to a close he decided to finish it off with some League of Legends. He was also hungry, however, so before he went to his computer he order an extra large, thin-crust, triple pepperoni pizzas and a two-liter bottle of mountain dew code red. With the order placed, he sat down at his computer and loaded his game up - it ran at 60 fps at all times, even with full shadows and texture graphics... such a beauty - evidently pumped as hell to start playing.
Macht must have played through two or three games before the pizza man even showed up, and by then he was grateful because he was feeling the hunger set in. The redhead finished up his recent game (k/d/a of 30/1/15, in case you were wondering) and headed over to the door. Macht greeted the pizza man with a kind smile as he handed him $100 and told him to keep the change, then went on his merry way to dig the hell in.
However, Macht would be disappointed in finding he didn't get the pizza he ordered at all.
When the German opened the box to his meal, a gas sprayed out all over his face, causing him to stumble backward and fall over his coffee table, which shattered under his weight. A group of men in black suits stormed into his home, and as the gas began to take its toll, he stood up and started shouting at everyone and everything. He had no idea what was going on right now, but he knew he had to defend himself... and if that meant killing the pizza man, he was going to do it.
"WHO THE FUCK PUTS GAS BOMBS IN PIZZA?!" Macht cried out, and the men were surprised to find his body was fighting the gas as well as it was. He stood to his feet and put up his dukes, though he was drowsy and wasn't able to properly see everything, or anything for that matter. One man charged him from behind, batting the back of his head harshly with a steel baton, and it caused Macht to fall to a knee, dazed. Quickly, however, he reeled back and launched a heavy fist into the man's stomach as hard as he could, sending him flying back and into the corner of a wall, where his back would snap upon contact.
It was evident by now that the men were expecting Macht to go out from the gas, and they resorted to pulling out tasers. One man shot his taser into Macht's back, at first, and the electricity shot through his body as he roared out in pain. However, he remained standing. Another man shot at him with a second taser, hitting him square in the chest. He roared once again in pain, though he still remained standing. Even more angry now, Macht gripped both cords tightly and pulled the men toward him, before launching vicious backhands out at the sides of their faces, cracking them and breaking their cheeks, knocking them out in a single blow.
One man pulled out a pistol and aimed at Macht's neck from behind, firing out a tranquilizer dart. It hit Macht square in the back of the neck, and he stumbled forward a bit. The man was wide-eyed and afraid as Macht turned to face him, and the German started running toward him. However, three more men resorted to the same tactic, unloading their tranquilizers into his body as he charged. He made it to his target, but by then he had 48 tranquilizer darts piercing his skin, and this caused him to move quite sluggishly. He took one closer step toward his target and threw a weak punch, before his body went limp and he fell to the floor, unconscious.
Macht awoke suddenly on a rough, cold stone floor. It was dark, for the most part, though everything was still reasonably visible. He knew by now he was in some sort of high-tech facility, the kind that would be in the Avengers or the X-Men or some shit, but the reason as to why still eluded him. His first instinct after observing his surroundings was to check for what he had on him - which was nothing but his clothing. He cursed, standing to his feet,
Approaching the door, the German put a hand to it and sighed as his fingers ran along it. He could tell it was built sturdy, but... just how sturdy? Taking a step back and away from the door, he'd take a deep breath and compose himself. Stepping forward, Macht sent a powerful front kick toward it, the kind that would shatter concrete, though he only saw this door dent. His eye widened, and he took a step back once again. Where the fuck was he?
Refusing to give up, Macht stepped all the way to the back of the cell, before shoulder-ramming toward the door as hard as he could manage. The first time he did so, he felt it dent, and he could hear the metal bend in ways it wasn't meant to. This was good, but not where he wanted to be, so he kept going. The second time, he heard even more bending, and he could see the door was so bent-out-of-shape he could see outside - to a hallway, of some sort? The third time, he finally burst through the door, slamming hard into the floor as he did so. He was in pain, but it didn't matter - he was free from whatever fucking cell he was put into.
Only, now, he heard the sound of someone else pounding on a door just like he had been.
"Hello?! Who's there?!"

❝ | this time

... That can't be good.
Valo heard the loud banging, taking that as his cue to hurry up and get out of there. He didn't know what it was, nor did he think it was a good thing in the slightest. It could've been an enemy, or some kind of caged beast, or maybe someone else in the same unfortunate situation as him. Either way, he wasn't sure if they would be a hostile or not.
He stepped back, getting a running start and shoulder ramming the door. It dented a lot more, and he stepped back as far as he could. Taking a deep breathe, Valo would ram the door again, sending it flying off of its hinges and into the hall, landing with a loud reverberating sound. Valo fell after it, landing on the floor on his hands and knees and panting a bit, rubbing his shoulder as it ached a bit.
"Ah, that smarts..." He looked up. "...M-Macht? Don't tell me you got caught too?"
Well... that was obvious actually. If he was the source of that sound earlier, judging from the door on the floor on his end, then that meant Valo had a very good chance of getting out of here. Almost no one else he'd rather get stuck with in a life or death situation, as he at least knew Macht could hold his own better than anyone... unless he was the one who arranged Valo's capture, but he highly doubted that.
He stood up to his feet, looking around at the hall around them, and seeing only one exit. Another big door, but this one had a keypad.
"I guess there's only one way out of here."

| fuck this shit are you kidding me.
As Macht assumed, there was someone else trying to break free from the place. It took a while, but the person was eventually able to just slam through their door as he did, only when they did so and he saw just who it was, he was strangely... expecting this. His brow furrowed, and as Valo landed beside him, Macht pushed himself up to a sitting position, propped on his palms, and he eyed the other man curiously. Why was it that every time some weird shit happened and he got kidnapped, it happened to involve none other than Valo Morei, the first man Macht ever felt a deep-rooted loathing toward?
"... had to be you, huh?" he asked sarcastically as he stood to his feet and dusted himself off. The German's eyes wandered the area, and he came to the same obvious conclusion as Valo - there was one way out, and it didn't look like busting through was going to be quite so simple. Stretching his limbs a little, Macht started to get the blood pumping once again so things would flow a little better. He knew that, whatever was going on, he had to get out of here alive, and now he had Valo to worry about. Things could never be easy, it seemed.
"A'ight, Captain Obvious," Macht said sternly as he approached the door and the keypad. He began to cycle through possible codes in his mind, but not knowing the length or even a starting point meant trying them all could take hours upon hours, assuming he even had more than one chance. He could also try breaking it down, which wouldn't necessarily hurt the two since option a would have them discovered if they fucked up, and so would option b. "You got any bright ideas? Cuz if not Imma make the best educated guess I can on this keypad, and I can guarantee it will be wrong. There's like a 99.999999% chance of that."
Yes. He said all those nines.

Valo remained quiet as Macht spoke. He could hear the tone in his voice. Yeah, it was pretty strange that whenever weird shit happened, they just happened to be in the same place. It couldn't have been a coincidence, not after the amounts of times it had happened. Hell, even their first meeting was fuckin' weird. And now here the two of them were, stranded in some weird ass facility with no idea where they even were anymore. Fate definitely had it out for them, or maybe their luck just sucked balls.
It was clear that while he held Macht in high regard (for his ability, if nothing else), Macht saw him as nothing to write home about. Their difference in ability was staggering, and Valo had a long way to go before he could ever count himself as an equal to Macht. Maybe today, in this place, he could prove himself.
He frowned at the Captain Obvious comment, but walked towards the door without any remarks in return. It was obvious (hurr) that small talk wasn't Macht's thing, so Valo figured he'd keep it to a minimum for the sake of not coming off as annoying.
"A keypad, 0 to 9... 4 digit pass code... I don't think we have the time to try all 10,000 possible combinations." He crossed his arms, looking around the area for some kind of possible hint, though it was futile. In the middle of his searching, he was suddenly hit with an intense migraine, and he clutched his head in pain.
"A-argh..." He clenched his teeth, trying not to scream. Opening his eyes through the pain, everything was blurry, but he saw something strange... Four numbers on the keypad were lit up. He saw someone's finger prints on them, glowing a bright red, while everything else felt devoid of color. A few seconds passed, and everything returned to normal, and the pain ceased. He took a moment to breathe, not sure what had just happened.
"Hm..." He began to press numbers on the keypad. 8316. Nope. 3186. Nope. 1386. Nope. 1368.
... The red light above the door turned green, and the door unlocked, sliding open to reveal the path behind it. Valo looked incredulously at Macht, unsure of how this happened. In any case, the path was clear for them to go through.

What the... fuck...?
Macht stared wide-eyed as Valo entered the correct PIN, simply in disbelief. How did he know it? Was it... coincidence? Luck? Or did he know what was going on right now? It made Macht feel uneasy to say the least, but he also couldn't betray the single ally he had in this unknown place. The environment was equation filled with many a variable, and thus far he and Valo remained the only constants. So, despite the unease, he pressed forward.
"Alright, Batman," he said after the door was pushed open. Taking position in front of Valo, he figured it'd be best for the meat shield to go out first, and Valo wasn't exactly a stocky dude or anything. "Let's see what lies behind door number one."
As the door was pushed open, a blinding light would shine through, temporarily distorting Macht's vision. As it returned, he saw they were in a rather large chamber with two sets of stairs in the middle, leading to a single large set of doors at the top of it. The walls of this large chamber were all lined with doors, which would make it quite difficult to discern which way was out.
"Wanna use your detective vision to help out here?" He quipped, stepping out of the hallway. As his foot made contact with the floor, however, the plate he stepped on sank into the ground, and a deafening alarm would sound. Two by two, every door on the ground floor of the chamber would begin to open up, from the farthest end to the closest, and a countless amount of large, masked men in white coats would begin to charge in their direction. "What the fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck?!"
Without thinking, Macht's hands would reach to the large iron door beside him. With a heavy tug, he would rip the door from its hinges and launching it like a frisbee into the center of the crowd. This easily took out at least five of the men before it smashed into the floor. Seeing no other option, he charged into the fray, After shoulder-tackling many of the men out of the way, he once again took up the iron door and began to use it as a riot shield, slamming into enemy after enemy, while simultaneously paving a pathway for Valo to follow.
"COME ON, MOREI!"
They had to get the hell out of this chamber right now, before they were overwhelmed. Macht was strong, and so was Valo, but they were in uncharted territory up against a lot of unknown elements, and his last scuffle with the pizza guy showed that anything could happen provided the enemy had the numbers to back it up. He only hoped that they didn't just enter a gauntlet where the only options were kill or be killed.

It seems Macht didn't question Valo's abilities too much, which made him glad, because he really didn't know how to explain this. It was almost like he saw the past momentarily, being able to see fingerprints as though they were fresh without any need of equipment to do so. Needless to say, this would have come in handy for a lot of previous investigations he had gone through, a hell of a time saver. He only hoped this ability was a constant, something that could help them get out of this strange facility they were in. But he didn't even know how he activated it, let alone know how to control it. What if it was all some shitty hallucination?
...Wait, did he just call me Batman?
Valo held his hand up to cover his eyes as the light shone in, not expecting it at all. Taking a moment for his eyes to adjust, he saw the room that they were in, noting that this was some kind of crazy Resident Evil shit. He would have been pretty peeved if they had to go find some stupidly placed keys or emblems and position them in some menial fashion in order to open a door that just led to more puzzles and shit. He figured that would be the most absurd situation to ever possibly happen, but he had reached that point in his life where nothing was normal anymore.
"I'll see what I can do... I don't know how to control it though. So just give me a--"
Valo froze as he heard the sound of something sliding, and he looked down to see what Macht had stepped on. Covering his ears from the sound of the alarm, he looked on in horror as he saw an entire fucking army of lab coat wearing mask-faced bitches charging them. Oh boy. This just got weirder and weirder, and he was 99.9% sure they were here to throw them back in their cells. Or maybe some other worse shit. Point is, Valo didn't want to wait around to find out.
His eyes widened as he saw Macht tear off the iron door as easily as Valo tore into one of those string cheese things, only to chuck it at the men approaching them, scattering them like bowling pins. As humorous as it was to see, Valo had no time to laugh about it, and he quickly followed behind Macht through the path he made as he Ajax'd right through all of his opponents like they were nothing. No matter how much time he spent around Macht, the guy's strength always impressed him, reminding Valo that he had so much further to go.
"Macht, there's a door up ahead, give me a moment!"
He rushed ahead of Macht, getting to a door in the center of the room, another keypad next to it. Come on, come onnnn... He thought as he tried his best to focus, trying to get his eyes to "do the thing" again. He began to hit combinations on the keypad that were similar to the last door they had just gone through, but kept meeting with failure after failure. That damn beeping noise taunted him as he kept entering the wrong combination.
"Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. FUCK."
He shouted every single time he entered the wrong code. He didn't have the luxury of time to relax and figure this out calmly. They were surrounded by a bunch of dudes and Macht was trying to fend them all off himself. Of course, Macht had the advantage, so this was more of a courtesy thing to get it over with faster than anything.
On the top floor, two doors would open on either side, and much larger, heavily armored soldiers would walk out. Looking up, Valo saw a strange, but familiar black mist in the rooms behind them as they exited, before they jumped down to the floor below with a giant crash. They began to advance on Macht and Valo, shoving their own allies aside like nothing as they made their way towards the German. They looked like they would be a lot more trouble.
"Macht, use this!"
He took a short reprieve from attempting to figure out the code, pulling a ring off of his finger that he had hidden inside of his gauntlet. He tossed it over to Macht, hoping it would come in handy with all of their metal armor. Maybe that portion of Shugo's energy he lent to Valo would prove useful in a shithole like this.

| fuck this shit are you kidding me.
As Valo attempted code after code, Macht would act as the single line of defense from them to him. Iron door in hand, he would bash away enemy after enemy, swipe after swipe, but no matter how many he took down, they just kept coming. Adrenaline began to pump through his veins even harder than before, and he began to strike out faster and faster, eventually even ditching the iron door as he launched it like a frisbee into the crowd. It must have taken out a few dozen men from that single attack - and that's both a testament to Macht's strength, and the sheer numbers they were up against, here.
It wasn't difficult, so much as it was tedious, to hold these men back as Valo continued to fail at finding the code. And as much as Macht wanted to chastise him for taking so long, they both had a lot to worry about right now: if Macht went down, Valo was next, of course. But, both of their concentration would be interrupted as the two new figures arrived, and this caused the redhead to frown. "You've gotta be fuckin' shittin' me," the redhead cursed as the two made their way toward himself and Valo. "Alright, Morei, I'm counting on you to hold your own for a little bit. We're getting out of here alive, you got that?"
Catching the ring, Macht would place it on his finger and charge at one of the black mist men, holding his breath once he was within proximity. Channeling the ring's energy, he would strike at the man's stomach as hard as he could, only to find he was harder than stone itself. Macht's eye went wide as the man rose an arm and swatted him to the side, causing him to fly through the crowd and crash into - and through - a gate leading into a cell. "Mother... fucker...!" he cursed, struggling to his feet. This was going to be a bitch.
The man charged, and Macht's first response was to take the bed within the cell and launch it at the man, striking him in the face. This caused him to stumble, and Macht would capitalize on this opportunity to leap onto his stomach as hard as he could, and rain heavy fists upon his face. Two, three, four, five, six, seven - fifteen blows would crash down upon the man's face before he stopped moving, and Macht believed he was out for the count. Triumphant, he moved to help Valo. However, now his back was to the enemy, and he would realize he was wrong.
The man stood to his feet surprisingly quietly for someone of his size, and grabbed Macht by the mouth from behind. A hose held within a gauntlet would begin to spew black mist down Macht's throat, and the giant would slam the redhead into the wall adjacent to the cell. As it cracked apart, Macht's hands reached up to grab at the man's wrist and attempt to pry it from his face. Everything was getting blurry, and it felt like there was nothing he could do.
Once again, he was wrong.
A strange energy began to flow through Macht's body, almost as though he was received a second wind, and his muscles began to bulge. Eye now bloodshot, Macht grew to the man's height, and launched a heavy fist at the side of his elbow in an uppercut. One strike and it immediately ripped through the skin, breaking the man's arm and causing him to release Macht's face. Macht stumbled forward, panting, but would not waste this opportunity he'd been given. No, he pressed the momentum, gripping the man's neck with his right hand and squeezing, quite literally shattering the bone in his grip.
By this point, Macht would move to assist Valo - though he assumed the man had it covered for the most part. However, if he did not, Macht would strike at his opponent from behind, taking the man by the back and launching him all the way across the room. "Get. That. Code. Leave these fuckers to me. Got it?"
Cracking his knuckles, the hulking Starke dashed into the crowd with a bestial roar, tearing through the enemies once more. Necks would break, bones would shatter, walls would come down, men would lose their own limbs as Macht fought tooth-and-nail for survival. At this point, the mist was taking a hold of him, causing him to lose his morality and see everyone around him as monsters. Their eyes were lifeless, their skin was rotting, and their one goal was to murder both him and Morei - so he was left with little other choice. Though it pained him, he would take the life of anyone and everyone who tried to take his.
And that was going to be painfully easy.

i can't save me from myself Taking a deep breath, Valo closed his eyes for a moment and tried to concentrate, focusing on trying to gather energy into his eyes... and when he opened them, they glowed a bright red color. Looking around, he seemed to see the world in a whole different light. It was though someone had placed a dark blue filter over everything, where key things seemed to light up and pop to attention immediately.
Taking a look at the keypad, there was only one button that had any fingerprints on it that weren't his... the 0.
"Are you fucking kidding me..." Valo said as he hit the 0 four times, the door beeping successfully as it slid open. As it did, Valo turned to call to Macht.
"Hey! I got it ope--"
He was interrupted by a hard strike to the head, flying back into the room that he had just tried to escape from. Groaning in pain and rubbing the back of his head, trying to keep his vision straight, Valo would look up to see a heavily armored man standing there. The same one who had kidnapped him and Hailey previously.
"You..." He grit his teeth, standing up to his feet. Macht was preoccupied with the crowd behind them, so this man was all Valo's concern. It was how he preferred it. He had a score to settle with him.
Valo charged forward, aiming to punch the guy in the face, but the man would sidestep it, lifting Valo up and throwing him over him and through another door past the one he had just opened. Landing with a loud thud on the otherside as he skid across the floor atop the door, Valo grunted from the small pain, standing up to his feet and jumping to the side just in time for the man to come crashing down right where he was previously.
"Where's my sister..." Valo asked angrily, but the man didn't respond. Something seemed different this time. But the silence only angered Valo more. The man came charging forward, and Valo would sidestep a punch aimed at his head, returning with a swift right punch at the man's chest armor. Despite Valo's strength, the armor didn't break like he was hoping for, and the man took advantage of that by slamming his fist into Valo's gut before kicking him away.
The boy rolled along the floor before getting back up. It was strange... his body felt different after every hit, but it was as if he didn't feel any pain at all. He was beginning to feel a little dizzy though... his eyes fluttered a bit, and he felt as if something was scratching at the back of his mind. Embrace it...
The man came barreling towards Valo again, and the Morei jumped up and smashed his knee right into the guy's face as hard as he could. The man doubled back from the impact, and Valo continued his assault, slamming fist after fist into the guy's face. The man soon caught Valo's arm, however, and slammed him down on the ground. Valo gritted his teeth as the man got on top of him, the large armor making him extremely heavy as he pinned Valo in place and began to punch him in the face repeatedly. He didn't feel any of it, and it made the sensation seem so surreal. He had to get out of this while he could, before his body underwent irreparable harm.
Damn... it... he's too... fucking heavy...
The black mist lingered around the room, and seemed to intensify. Suddenly, Valo felt his muscles tense up greatly, and he would shout as he threw the guy off of him. The man landed on his side, standing up and recovering quickly but not before Valo charged in, sending his fist right through the man's armor, shattering it completely. As the man fell back, Valo would reach out and grab him by the leg, pivoting on his foot and bringing the man's body around to slam it on the ground behind him, creating a small crater beneath them.
The man looked up, seeing Valo's eyes had turned a pitch black color with red irises, and the boy stepped into the crater on top of the man.
"Where is my sister..." He repeated from before, to which the man didn't answer. His face seemed lifeless, and his body was a pale, dead color. Anger surging through Valo, the kind of which he had never felt before, he began to slam his fist into the man's head over and over and over and over, until his body stopped even twitching. He was dead, and Valo was panting heavily over the bloodied corpse. Looking down, he saw a keycard by the man's hand, and he picked it up. Climbing up out of the crater, he surmised that it must have belonged to the next door.
He looked back to see how Macht was doing, unaware of the blood coating his face and his fists at the moment.
"I have the key to the next area." He would say, holding it up for Macht to see, once he was able. ulla

| fuck this shit are you kidding me.
The second man charged at Macht with vicious tenacity, ramming into him like a hornless bull, but one that was much stronger than average. His muscles tensed, and the ground beneath him cracked as he caught his opponent. Letting out a bestial roar, Macht firmly grasped the man's sides, fingers digging into his armor, and heaved him overhead. Like a meteor, the man's body descended toward the tile, head first. Despite his armor, the force and surface were enough to cause the helmet - and the skull - to shatter completely, releasing a wave of crimson liquid that washed over not only the tile, but Macht's own body as well.
The large man's body fell to the ground like the carcass of a slaughtered cow, sending a morbid CRACK! throughout the room as it did so. Macht jumped back up to his feet, looking much akin to a beast of myth rather than a prodigal adolescent. He lost all sense of morality, and it showed in his own lifeless eye - he had one instinct here, and that was to rip apart every single foe who crossed him, and there were droves remaining. Leagues upon leagues of enemy forces remained, and surprisingly, they were still intent on crushing their opponent despite his incomparable show of physical prowess.
"DO YOUR WORST!" He roared, charging into the fray. They were cockroaches, and, one-by-one, they fell like dominoes. He was the reaper, gleefully claiming the herded souls of the damned, and the resistance they put up was laughable, at even their greatest moments. The more they struck him, the less he felt a thing. He could taste their desperation on his tongue, stimulating his fury. Their fists, their weapons, all of it collided with his flesh, pierced it even. It fed the behemoth's rage, furthering its power and increasing the likelihood that it would dominate. With every blow they landed on him, they were merely lowering their own chances of survival.
Macht had swept through more than half the enemy force in mere moments, his insurmountable strength mowing through them as though they were lambs to the slaughter. They needed to tame this beast for their own survival, a fact they realized all too late. And of course, when they happened to, their method of doing so was all too wrong. They thought they were going to bring him down, when all their actions were liable to do was destroy them.
Three of the soldiers would inject themselves with a syringe containing a concentrated form of the black mist. Instantly, they turned into ravenous beasts, matching Macht's own relentless animosity. They charged him from all sides, closing in on his location within moments and mounting the cyclops. They made an attempt to overwhelm him, albeit a feeble one. Their concussive blows rained down upon his body like hail to ants, and the force was immense. However, it would not be enough to bring him down. Instead, it would simply insure they all fell prey to him.
After a moment of being struck, Macht's eyes would glow, and he would release a wave of energy from his body that would shoot outward, immediately flooring everyone in the area - meaning only Valo and his opponent were untouched. This wave of energy destroyed the walls and floor it touched, and ripped people apart as it tore through them. By the time it ended, Valo would barely be finishing off his opponent.
"Let's go then," Macht would say, and Valo would see he was covered in blood, and no one in that room was left standing besides himself. |
