He came up with a strategy. The environment would be his weapon. Even though he knew he couldn't beat him, he could try . He went towrds one of the lamp posts and swirled around it. He used the speed from to try and grab on to the roof. It may look like he is running away, but he was actully studying his opponent so that later on, he could beat him.
He also wanted to see his true power, and for that to happen we need a little bit of rage.

Okay so things where going downhill. But his goal was to see his true strength. He will do whatever it takes to stand up and keep trying to avoid his hits (he probably won't be able to block him anyway).
"Your mom is so fat that she use cheat codes on fitness excersice games, you mom is dumb that she concentrated on the apple to make apple concentrate!!"
He knew that his jokes probably won't affect him...but hey its rage candy. He stood up from being hit on the wall and looked behind Soran.
"Oh boy.."
He will use the old tactic of distraction. With him distracted, he could probably find a place to watch him and defend himself until an opening appeared. He would use the giant sign that had the school name on it as a base for now.

Such hits where to much....But he deserved it. He knew he would have to beat Soran if he wanted to beat Shugo.
