Lachlan was walking through the halls once again, skipping class. Lachlan started riding on his skateboard until he got to the stairs and started climbing up to the roof, Lachlan emerged from the roof door feeling the wind on his face, Lachlan went over to the ventilation shafts and sat on one staring out onto the view of New York.

Sylvia, refusing to attend class if it meant seeing teachers like the principal, decided to go find some fresh air on the school roof. As she made her way to the stairs, she noticed skid marks by the base. She wondered who was rolling around the halls during class time. After a few minutes pondering, she realized that it was nothing too important. She let the thought slip from her mind and continued walking up the staircase, until finally she had reached the door. She grabbed the door handles and swung them wide open as she engulfed the fresh air. Her eyes adjusted to the morning light, which had been shining toward her face, and noticed that a male student with a skate board. Immediately feeling flustered, she couldn't help but look at the male student.

Lachlan looked over at the door when it swung open and saw a girl staring at her, Lachlan smiled "Like what you see? Just kidding, what's up?" Lachlan lay down his board and stood, "You just gonna stand there, I don't bite, unless you hurt my friends.".

Feeling even more embarrassed from the comment, Sylvia's mind began to swirl with thoughts of possible excuses. She carefully analyzed him and deduced that he could be a violent individual considering his clothing. She knew that he had to have some reason for being sent to PHS #552.
"Oh gosh, uhh.... I'm so sorry!" Sylvia frantically stuttered, "I had no idea the roof was occupied. If you want, I could leave and not bother you..." Sylvia's voice trailed off to a quiet whisper.

"No, it's fine, I don't mind. I need friends anyway." Lachlan smiled and walked to the girl, "My name is Lachlan, what's yours?" Lachlan smiled as he continued "Wanna come sit by me?" he walked over by the ventilation and sat down, "Your choice."

Sylvia was surprised by his open attitude and kind words that she had no idea how to respond. He was definitely much kinder than she had expected. She managed a small nod before replying. "Uh.. I'm Sylvia Willow, nice to meet you Lachlan." Sylvia followed after Lachlan's example and sat on the ventilation next to him. Her curiosiy got the better of her.
"W-what are you doing here instead of class?" Sylvia quickly stuttered, "I-I don't mean to be nosy! If you don't to answer, that's fine too..." Her voice began to turn into a quiet murmuring. She couldn't help but feel shy and hesitant. Afterall, since getting to the school, she hadn't met someone as kind as Lachlan.
