It was Ruby's first day at PHS #552. She wasn't necessarily nervous, as many students seemed to be on their first day... instead, Ruby was filled with excitement, and not for the same reasons that most fighting-prone students would be, her reasoning behind the swirling desire that spurred deep inside her soul was for an entirely different reason. She had no clue what PHS #552 was about--she knew nothing of it's reputation, of the kind of students that dwelled inside, and the like.
Still, she couldn't be bothered with "classes" or "schedules" or silly matters such as that, so the second she arrived at the school, she put the hood of her cloak up to obscure the upper half of her face, and she ran. She dashed through the hallways, weaving through the crowds of students like a speedy car--turning left here, dodging crashing there, and maneuvering herself skillfully around that kid.
"Where might he be? I will find him here, won't I? I don't recognize any faces among these crowds--he is here, isn't he? That was him who had written to me--wasn't it? I'd better check inside these rooms," She thought, her mind racing just as quickly as her body was. She charged toward the first door her eye made contact with, and she jumped, kicking the door open in one swift movement and landing gracefully on her feet after the door had been kicked open. She stood upright and regained her balance, her eye panning around the room and studying each face of the people inside.
"Damn... he's not here, either..." She muttered under her breath, turning to leave.
