A lunch box is seen last Friday, around 12:37:08pm with an encouraging note packed inside. This appalling display that utterly lacked manliness has left many students stunned and outrage, as some decided, after a long while, to speak out against it.

[OoC: Participants are limited to those who signed up, and are on the list found here. Rounds will move on at the discretion of the QC, but participants will be expected to post once every 24-48 hours from the moment the next round goes up. ONE POST PER ROUND - any more than that will be deleted and disregarded. The only weapons that may be used in the event are those that can reasonably be found in the area. Throughout the event, there will be random dice rolls to influence situational and environmental hazards. What the GM says, goes, so do not add details that were not originally included. Rewards will be based on participation and contribution, as well as how well people play to their stats. (Eg. Jimmy and Bobby both have starter stats. Bobby gets hit with a haymaker to the face and is knocked out reasonably. Jimmy takes that hit over and over and just keeps getting back up. Bobby is likely to get a better reward than Jimmy.) DO NOT POST UNTIL THE FEAR QC HAS POSTED.] In Northern NYC, traffic was being congested due to a very unusual sight in the city - a single, incredibly large figure was sighted in the area, and his very presence instilled the citizens with fear. There was no instance during his initial appearance to cause panic, however, a strange black mist seemed to emanate from his body, and it slowly began to spread out and afflict the people of the city with horrible, vivid hallucinations of their worst fears come to life. Over time, the police came out to stop this menace, though as they fired upon it, they discovered bullets had virtually no effect on this large figure.

Superstition... fear and jealousy.
The song "Dragula" by Rob Zombie was just beginning to play, the song was coming from a Crown Victoria police squad car that was almost wrapped completely around a telephone pole. A towering African-American male was standing in the middle of an intersection, he was masked and had athletic attire. The mask was a hockey mask similar to Jason the killer's except it was black and had a hairline crack that began from the bottom and ran up the middle. Scribbled across the forehead of the mask in red sharpie was the phrase "Fear always wins" A tight yellow Under Armour shirt with soft pads integrated on the shoulders and by the ribs. Below he had black shorts with pads integrated on the sides of the thighs and pads on the buttocks. He was also wearing black cleats. Torn into the torso of his shirt was the word "FEAR" capitalized.
The black mist barely shrouded Aegis as he took in his surroundings. Three law enforcement officers approached him cautiously. As he stared them down, his eyes had a bright yellow glow to them. The first officer to approach Aegis was equipped with a shotgun, Aegis remained in his spot. The officer opened fire, one shotgun shell to the chest. Aegis took the blast to the chest like it was nothing. The shells didn't even penetrate his skin, they merely bounced off.
The masked man simple crouched down and jammed his fingers clean through the asphalt, he gripped the rebar underneath the intersection. As he jerked his arms upwards he ripped up the asphalt causing the three officers to get flung into the air, as they flew they would each land on different car hoods in the congested traffic.
Aegis turned his attention to a crowd of civilians that began to quickly disperse. He walked over to the crowd standing on the sidewalk and watched as some of the civilians stopped and stared at him, they probably weren't looking at him, but they were probably looking at the hallucinations that were being brought about.. The mist was a crowd killer so to say and it left them petrified.
"Hurts doesn't it? Feeling petrified like a deer in headlights.. All of the fear coursing through your body as your hair stands up and you sweat bullets.. and there is nothing you can do about it. The embodiment of fear stands before you and you're helpless you trembling fuck.." Aegis said as he circled his prey. He stopped after a full circle and laughed.. rising his arms into the air as he began to let out a harsh battle-cry that could be heard for blocks.
"FEAR AEGIS!!!!!"

Post by Kyou Kobayashi on Jun 8, 2015 22:33:56 GMT -5
Kyou was unsure what was going on. He had been summoned to the northern part of New York City, due to some kind of strange circumstance and need of backup. Kyou was a part of the police force--true that was--but he hadn't actually been told to go there. He happened to have his personal radio on and overheard the message--and he decided to check it out and see what was going on despite not being dispatched directly on this mission. In fact, he could likely get into trouble for trying to get involved without orders--but for all they knew, he was some pedestrian. After all, he was young and short, and hardly looked like a member of the police corp at all. And officially he wasn't a member--he was still a student at school, but he was treated as an official cop--given the privilege to work on certain missions and crime scenes when he was available. But as Kyou got closer and closer, the things he saw started to lack sense.
Suddenly, there were people on the ground, bleeding and dying--screaming in agony and pain. Kyou got off his bike and went to one of the civilians--kneeling down to shake the unconscious woman--but his hand got shocked with a small zap of electricity upon contact. He yelped from surprise and drew back, looking at his hand and trying to figure out what was going on. Why did that happen? And had it really hurt him? He opened and closed his hand, trying to test it out and came to the conclusion that he hadn't felt pain but--but in his head he could still feel the tingling sensation that ran up his entire arm. Was this some kind of illusion? Or was it reality? He looked around, adjusting his glasses as he took in the view of all the people who were writing in pain and spwrawled on the floor in their own pools of blood. Cars were crashed everywhere--and there were even fires. And Kyou could see that in the middle of it all, there, standing in the center of a traffic was a tall mysterious man he'd never seen before. Police shot at him, but he seemed unaffected and retaliated.
"Stay calm... stay calm," Kyou told himself, looking at all of the bodies. He didn't know what was going on, and a swirling fear welled up inside of him. He didn't know why--and that was exactly why he was afraid. He didn't know what was going on, or how all of these people had been so horribly hurt. There were so many that he felt paralyzed--unable to do anything because he didn't know what to do.
What Kyou was unaware of was that most of the things he was seeing and felt were illusions. Mere chaos within his own mind. He hadn't seen the mist--and he hadn't seen all of the people who were confused and scared--unsure of what was going on. He could hear the screams of people in panic--and his mind was telling him that when he had tried to help that woman he'd been hurt--though somehow he felt that his body wasn't in pain--and was it? It was just an illusion--but Kyou didn't know that. He didn't know there weren't so many people around--people who were hurt and dying. He didn't know that there was nothing for him to do to help them because they weren't in need--he didn't know. In his head, he was in the center of some kind of massacre and he was unequipped and unprepared to do anything to help the situation. Kyou liked to deny things--one of them being that he had fear. But if he were to be completely honest to himself, there was nothing that he feared more than being in that kind of a helpless situation. To be unable to do anything when people need help--or to get them out of their situation. He was afraid of failing what he thought he was supposed to do--and somewhere, deep down inside... he feared he'd ever have to be put in those kind of situations again.

A day without school, a day without formal events or fights or training. Yes it should have been everything that Varus wanted and more; however, his mother made sure that it wasn't the case. He needed to walk several blocks to the liquor store and pick up lottery tickets for Mom because that was her "lucky store". The first time she picked up a ticket there she won about fifty dollars and despite coming into only single digit winnings she had hope for the small emporium.
"Oh come on! What the Christ is causing all this traffic?" his mother shouted as she banged her fist on the car door. Luckily the window was rolled down.
Varus peeked his head out of his own window and beyond the stream of cars there stood a masked man with mist emanating from his body. To most it was a sight to behold but for Varus it meant trouble and not the Team Rocket kind but rather, the "I bet this has something to do with PHS #552" kind. It was not fun.
"Varus Williams where do you think you're going? There are police, guns, and madmen over there. Do you know what you're getting into?"
As Varus left the car he simply shrugged in response.
"You know me. I go where the trouble is."
He weaved through the various cars (thankful that traffic was frozen in time) until he reached the sidewalk. From what it seemed like, the bullets weren't doing anything to the masked figure (making it angrier if anything) and the gas was only spreading further. Should he continue onward or would his curiosity lead to his downfall?
"It's been a long time Varus." a warped voice murmured behind him.
"Leah is that you?" he asked, nearly jumping out of the seat of his pants.
A gun appeared in her left hand as she continued walking toward him.
"You know you're the reason why Valor's stuck with me," she grinned, "if you cared about him at all you'd leave him be. Not that it matters. He likes slinging meth, coke, weed, the holy trinity of monosyllabic narcotics. I have to thank you for getting him into it."
"No, no, no! You're lying to me!" Varus yelled, clenching his hand into a fist, "stop acting like it's all my fault."
In the background, he heard a rumbling and the voice of who he presumed to be the mad man.
"Hurts doesn't it? Feeling petrified like a deer in headlights.. All of the fear coursing through your body as your hair stands up and you sweat bullets.. and there is nothing you can do about it. The embodiment of fear stands before you and you're helpless you trembling fuck.."
"Hey don't you dare ignore me," she cocked the gun, cold anger evident in her voice.
The skin around her eyes cracked, trailing down to her now-white face. Beneath the cracks, black light glowed and the sound of bullets resonated as Varus fell to the ground. As he touched his side, he saw blood trickling yet something felt odd about the whole situation. Why wasn't he dead yet?
"Now it's time to end your misery and Valor's."
Varus staggered to his knees as Leah's cracking intensified.
"FEAR AEGIS!!!!!" rang out as Varus attempted to block the shot from Leah.
If only he knew the truth behind the illusion.

Sarah had been in the area getting off from work when the mist first started, and it was in this mist that she had been trapped in her own hallucination.
"Hey Lou."
"Mom..." Before her was her mother, looking as she did on the night that she found her.
"You disappointed me, Louie. You drank, you've been drinking. You've been drinking out on the town like-"
Like a little cunt.
"YOU FUCKING LITTLE CUNT!"
"No..... not you.... never you!" Sarah drew Breaker from her large duffle bag where she had stashed her work clothes. She pulled the blade out as she saw her step-father appear next to her mother.
"You grew up awful sweet this past year, girlie. Why don't you come sit with your pa?"
"YOU'RE NOT HIM, YOU'LL NEVER BE HIM! I'LL KILL YOU!" She screamed at the top of her lungs, her free hand clasping around her father's dog tags as her step-father began to walk toward her, her mom's face turning away as it always had.
The things we fear most have already happened to us...
"You're not... you're not here.... this isn't right, YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE IN PRISON!" She yelled again and as he got closer she closed her eyes. She closed her eyes and she prayed him away, she prayed to all the gods and goddesses, and then she felt something familiar.
And she focused very hard, and began to clear her mind and her body of the pollutant which had been fowling it up.

Steven had been minding his own business. Moving through the city on his day to day activities, when he heard the chaos. The sound of gunshots, as he walked through the crowd on the side walk caused him to look up at the cause, and there it was. The man and the black mist. Steven mind suddenly caught a blaze, with rage and fear. Not due to the mist, as the man was still dealing with the police officers when he had first looked up. The fear theme to his attire and the mist, Steven knew what was coming as 'The Aegis' started to move toward the crowd.
Steven moved in a flash, grabbing a couple civilians before the mist reach them, near the back of the crowd and dragged them away as quickly as he could. So as to not get touched by the mist, and at least save a couple people from its effects. "Run!" he shouted at them, and pushed them on their way once he had put some distance between the crowd falling under the fear effect, and them.
Steven spun and faced the crowd and the man, as the man started to circle the group and then cry to the sky. 'Aegis?' Steven saw no shield or man of protection here, except that which the man wore. "Fine then, time to get to work." Steven started to walk slowly back towards the mist and the man. Who was focus on the crowd it seemed, and did a couple things as he did so. Firstly, he pulled out the special bottle of water, that he owned. Poured the content into his mouth and held it there, mixing around in his mouth with his saliva. Then he pulled out, the small deodorant can and lighter. There was no intent to try harming the man with the thing, as he already been shot and seemed uncaring. No the idea was burn away the mist, and that is exactly what he did.
Pulling the can up, and flicking the lighter on while still at the range of the flame away from the edge of the mist, about 3 foot and let loose. Pouring flames at the sky to try to, hopefully, the mist from the air.

Sage was in the northern part of NYC for his day off. He wanted some new dresses and he knew a store that had reasonably good discounts on designer brands. He hums to himself happily as he exits the store. His weird delusion hasn't been showing up at least for the past week which made him feel slightly calmer. It was when he looked at the commotion did he stop humming.
He blinks as he absorbs everything in. Some weird large burly man with a weird mist seeping from his body. He started saying some random shit about fear which got Sage thinking. Fear as people always said, was the only thing to actually fear. Well without actually realizing it he was slowly walking towards the hellish scene as though he's in a trance.
As Sage walks he noticed that a figure was standing on the sidewalk - Mikey. Sage's eyes lit up as he ran over and glomped his lover. "Mikey!! You came back for me!!" However Sage freezes slightly when he realizes how cold Mikey is. He tilts his head confused and lets go. "Are you okay? Do you need me to get you anything?" Then without saying anything Mikey just turned and started to walk away. Sage's eyes widened as he was confused. Was he being left alone?
Sage runs after Mikey only to be slapped away, hard enough he went flying. Groaning slightly from the pain he looked up worrying. "Why... It hurt..." Mikey smirks and pulls out a gun and points it to Sage. "Do you really think I actually loved you? You're just a worthless toy I've been using for fun." He then pockets the gun again. "You're not even worth a bullet." And then he started to walk away again.
Sage stayed sitting down as he trembled. He was alone, he was being thrown away and no one cared. He bites his lip and curls in a ball filled with fear and dread. Why... how could this happen to him...
In reality, Sage is on the sidewalk around half a block from the store he exited. He's crumpled on the ground in his little dream of fear.

As Aegis brought his arms back down to his side, he began to observe the area around him. Within the range of his mist, Aegis watched as citizens riled in pain or cowered in fear of their own insecurities. It wasn't until he spotted a man standing quite a distance away from him. Aegis remained motionless, he only watched the man pull out a bottle and a lighter. "Interesting.." A few moments later and the man began to exhale fire, it was a smart move. Gradually clearing away the mist would allow the civilians to slowly regain consciousness, but the damage was done.
Aegis walked over to a car that had an incapacitated police officer laying on the trashed hood from earlier. "How ya doin bud? Feeling a little out?" Aegis grabbed the unconscious officer's leg and he threw the officer at Steven, who was trying to get rid of the mist. Following his throw, Aegis turned to the car and he pulled the hood off of the car, he gripped the underside of the hood and intended on using it as a temporary shield until he could find something more suitable. Next, he reached into the squad car and popped off the rear-view mirror, this he put into his shorts pocket for later. With his temporary setup, he set down his hood shield and he crouched down so he could grab the squad car by the frame, he quickly pivoted in the direction of Sage and threw the squad car effortlessly in a high arc. If Sage didn't wake up or no one came to Sage's aid. The car would come down and bounce off of the building that was by the sidewalk Sage was laying on. If and when Sage woke up, he would notice the strong odor of gasoline leaking from the car.. Aegis picked his shield back up and began to backpedal away from the intersection. Having created distractions he was now creating distance for himself. The only person of interest right now to Aegis was Steven. The others should be recovering from their hallucinations.
"You there, Man of fire. You've struck my interest and as such I'll give you a fair warning.. Don't try to be a vigilante. I will put you down without hesitation."

Sarah's mind started to come to as she watched Steven trying to clear out the mist. That would certainly help with her not getting any more in her system as she made her way to the source of the roaring, Aegis. Her sword gripped rightly in her right hand she walked calmly and confidently toward her opponent, and as the mist started to clear she could see him clearly. She was able to gauge his strength.
"Fuck.... STEVEN DON'T!" She yelled, "NOT BY YOURSELF! HE OUTMATCHES YOU!" She hoped that he would trust her, he didn't know that she could quite literally see people's physical prowess in relation to hers but it was clear for her to see, she was stronger and tougher than Steven and this guy was stronger and tougher than Sarah. They were both about as evenly faster than her though. She would have gone in to fight with him too, but when Aegis launched the car she ran as fast as she could, she wanted to dive to get Sage out of the way but it was too late for her to do that.
"SHIT!" So instead, she tested her strength for the first time, putting in as much might as she could as she launched herself into the air, she kicked the car with both feet to knock it away from Sage and toward a more cleared out area. It wouldn't stop the car's momentum, but it would throw off it's trajectory to miss Sage narrowly. The gas? That might still be a problem for sure. Sarah would come down hard on her back, but to her it wouldn't feel too bad at all, in fact it felt like landing pretty softy.
I'm there... I can do this. I'm where I need to be to fight this guy.

As Steven burned away the mist, he saw the man heading over to the police officer on one of the cars and grab him. It was clear in Steven mind, that the man was likely to be a projectile, but they didn't mean it would be at him. 'Holy crap' Steven mind shouted, 'It is me.' it added as The Aegis lunched the man towards him. Steven was force to duck at high speed in order to duck the flying body. Dropping the can of deodorant in the process and slamming the now empty hand to the ground to steady himself after ducking so quickly. If the Aegis had not move so nonchalantly to the officer in the first place, and had move with all his speed to reach him and throw him. Steven would have no way of reacting in time.
Crouched on the ground, Steven looked up as the Aegis grabbed the car, and 'My god' he thought, unable to really curse out loud due to the mouth full of water he had, as Aegis started to move the weight of the car. Steven heard in the back of his mind, the warning of Sarah, who then quickly went tearing off in order to intercept the car as the Aegis sent it flying.
Steven slowly came back to his feet as Aegis spoke to him, car hood shield in hand, and a appearance like that of a walking threat to back up the verbal one. Steven had a small issue at this point. It wasn't like he could reply, with a mouth full of water. However that water was a safety net, he could breath through his nose quite happily, but speaking was not going to happen.
'Amy 2.0' He thought to himself, smirking slightly, an impressive feat with puffed out cheeks due to the water. 'I must look like a prat.' Even so Steven took a step towards the large man. Kicking the can, of deodorant that had fallen to the floor across slightly forward as if uncaring. However beyond that step forward, Steven made no overt hostile action.
However throughout the exchange, Steven mouth, or at least what it contained was undergoing a chemical reaction. Electrical charge in water, could break down the water into gas, hydrogen and oxygen. Normally this required, that the liquid contain a fair amount of free ions, such as salt water. This was why, Steven had mixed the water in his mouth with his saliva. Which contained free ions, capable of such a thing. All Steven had to do was manipulate the water with his mind, cause the electrons in side the water molecules to move in a current from one molecules to the next. It wasn't a charge that, could be used to shock anyone, but it was enough to start breaking down the water into gas.

Post by Kyou Kobayashi on Jun 11, 2015 2:50:24 GMT -5
Kyou would blink, trying to process what was going on as the fog started to lose it's effect on him, and he came to his senses. Though he was still somewhat flustered, and his mind still tried to play tricks on him, he'd woken up enough to grasp his surroundings and get a good view as to what was going on. Of course, it didn't help much.
From what he could see, Aegis was salvaging car parts--probably to use them later. The car hood would make a good shield, something Kyou kept in mind. There would likely be no attacking this guy head-on. Kyou considered himself weak, anyway. Even if he had a weapon, he knew it wouldn't do much good. Still, he had to think of something! Kyou knelt down to the ground, hiding behind one of the parked cars. Aegis didn't seem to pay Kyou any mind, and he was glad to be invisible--or at least out of interest during this particular moment. Still, at times like this, Kyou half wished he truly were invisible and that nobody could see him.
He'd be a lot more useful if no one knew he was there.
Still, there had do be something that he could do. As his mind started to contemplate the possibilities--weighing out the options and taking in his surroundings, making note of the distance, the things around him, and even the people nearby... he started to come up with a plan. There were a few people on the ground, screaming and freaking out, or had completely fainted--lying there like a corpse. Though it was considered "stealing", Kyou decided it was important to do this, so he went to the nearest man who had collapsed near by and rummaged around in the man's suit--looking for something until--aha! There it was. A beautiful, metal-cased lighter. Perfect. Kyou shoved the thing into his pocket and stood up, looking at the car that had been thrown near Sage, and he ran over to it.
He took advantage of the car lacking it's hood and started to rummage around, pulling at things here and there. Hopefully, Aegis's attention would still be on someone more important than himself, and the man wouldn't notice when Kyou ripped out the gas container inside the car. Once he'd obtained it, Kyou had to plan out his next steps. He couldn't kick the container over to Aegis and try to light it then--Aegis could just kick it back before it exploded. Kyou could only come up with one conclusion, and he didn't like it. It was quite dangerous, but he felt it was his only option.
Taking out a sharp shard of metal from the crushed car, Kyou cut open a large hole in the container of gasoline, and he ran. He took the container and got close to Aegis--not quite close enough that Aegis could grab or hit him, but close enough to accurately kick the container to the guy, a trail of gasoline following the motion from the broken container. Kyou wouldn't hesitate, taking out the lighter and breaking off the cap--throwing it into an eternal flame, and sending it airborne--it smashing into the ground and catching the gasoline on fire--hopefully lighting the trail and causing an explosion when the flame reached the majority of gasoline that would have poured out near Aegis's feet.
Of course, this would likely hurt Kyou as well, if it worked properly and blasted Aegis. Sure, Kyou would end up with some burns, but as he ran away from the explosion he'd cover his nose and moth with the fabric of his sleeve, trying not to inhale any poisonous smoke that would cause internal damage.
Kyou's plan seemed like it was to burn Aegis--and sure, Kyou hoped that Aegis's skin (although tough) wouldn't be heat-resistant, but what he was hoping for most was that he'd inhale enough smoke to pass out or at least get internal problems starting.

Heat emanated from all around him and where there was supposed to be a hole, Varus found nothing more than soot. Had he really been shot? The woman in front of him continued to crack and dissolve until she disappeared completely, leaving nothing behind but smoke.
It was...an illusion?
What the hell was that mist? He glanced up at the fiery sky as it consumed the rest of the mist. His (and everyone else's) savior had been a brown-haired man who incidentally, had an officer thrown at him.
"Hey watch out!"
Sadly, it wasn't enough for the hulking man to just throw an officer. He also ripped the hood of a car and threw it at the nearest civilian, clearly angered at Steven's display. On the other side there was a shorter, Asian boy who seemed intent on fighting Aegis alone.
Don't do it, man! You're going to die! he screamed on the inside as he looked around for something around to help the boy.
The ground around him was relatively bare so he decided to do the next best thing: head to the blonde guy lying down on the sidewalk. Sarah kicked it away (although she no worse for wear). He would be no use just standing around so he might as well be a meatshield.
"Hey, hey. Are you okay?"

< Ecko was usually one of the most cheerful people one could come around. From her demeanor it would appear as if it was hard to ever bring this girl down. But that was for people that didn't know her very well. For those truly deeply close to her they would've experienced rare moments of serious behavior. A rare moment of sadness emulating from her. Today happened to be one of those days where the serious side of her had somewhat taken over her normally bubbly form. She was a girl with a lot on her mind lately and the gloomy nature of the day mixed with the annoying honking and angry New Yorkers kinda started to annoy her. Yet all the same almost nothing could ever drown away her curiosity and the commotion drew her nearer rather than away.
~What's going on? Why's everyone in a panic?~
< Ecko just couldn't stay away as she started to briskly walk towards the direction in which everyone was fleeing from. Was that a stupid idea? Probably. Was curiosity going to kill the cat as they say? Maybe. Maybe not. Contrary to popular believe Ecko was a pretty intelligent individual capable of masterful thoughts. Upon arriving she noticed the chaos ensuing as a lone crazed figure seemed to be the epitome of the situation. It wasn't hard to deduce that considering. But what was this black mist? It didn't seem to have an odor (If it is odorless) so what was it exactly. What was it purpose? Ecko's eyes locked onto the black figure as he addressed Steven. The only one there she truly knew. What was Steven up to as well? Ecko wasn't always one for assessing a situation but she didn't want to rush into the fray either this time. As she attempted to take a step a voice sounded like a whisper in her ear caused the brunette to pause.
"Ecko."
< It sounded familiar but so faint. Quickly she looked around but unable to find the source this momentary pause kept her out of making any approach from a minor distance behind the dark figure.
~Who was that? It.. it sounded like Blake. But it couldn't.~
[Ooc: Crappy sorry.. not feeling too good.]

Sage was curled in a ball sniffling. The world hated him. Everyone hated him. He was being left alone. Sage was so far into his hallucination he was not even conscious to recognize the scent of gasoline coming from the broken car near him. He doesn't seem to be that strong mentally and would probably need help to get out of his illusion of fear.
((OOC: Short, I know but at least I'm ic...))

When Sarah ran to try and deflect the car from hitting Sage, Aegis took note. "Interesting.." It seemed there were some people arriving in the area rather than leaving.. They weren't under concentrated effects of the mist, but it lingered. What was interesting to Aegis was the fact that Sarah managed to leap into the air and kick away a car. "Seems like the man of fire isn't working alone." It was then after having that thought that Aegis could audibly notice Kyou trying to rummage around a vehicle and obtain some part, Aegis kept note of this, he showed flashes of his attention to everything in his environment. Steven was still a decent distance away, Sarah was on the ground on her back, if she could jump that high into the air and deflect a vehicle then she should have the ability to recover and at a decent rate too. Kyou had a gas tank in his possession and it was noticeable as it's going to be larger than even a standard Jerry can. Ecko, Sage and Varus were still suffering from the effects of the mist and Aegis could tell. He had no reason to physically contact them just yet. He needed a little bit more time to pass, besides it would be more fun with a full group of vigilantes.
Aegis was able to deduce that several of these people must obviously know each other, this reinforced by the fact that Sarah called out to Steven. As Kyou approached, Aegis readied his shield and jumped backwards, curling his body up well before he made contact with the car's roof behind him, he effectively used the makeshift shield as a blast shield to soak up the incredibly weak explosion if there even was an explosion at all. Quickly, Aegis stood up and tossed his shield off to the driver's side of the car. He looked at Kyou, then Sarah, then Steven. Continually he kept his eyes darting back and forth between the three. Aegis hopped into the car and used his long arms to feel underneath the dashboard. He ducked down and looked underneath to hot-wire the car and turn it on. Next, he leaned over to the glove box and he ripped it out. Aegis put the car in neutral and pulled up the emergency break, he held his foot down on the throttle letting the car bounce off of the rev limiter at 7,000 RPM (Rotations per minute). The smell of burning oil as the engine quickly got hotter and hotter would begin to fill the air, he broke off the emergency brake and jammed it in between the spokes of the steering wheel, keeping the tires and the vehicle straight. Following that action he jammed the glove box in between the seat and the throttle. He stepped out and picked up the vehicle.
"My turn."
The difference between Kyou's makeshift bomb and Aegis' is the fact that Kyou's gasoline bomb wasn't pressurized so there was little to no explosion.. The car that was getting hotter and hotter was building oil pressure, all of the fluids needed to run the vehicle were actively pumping through and the gas tank was being actively used. Aegis threw the car towards Kyou in an attempt to hit Kyou or hopefully the car right next to him. Once that car makes contact it's going to explode and the shock wave should be enough to affect Kyou and at least give him and anyone near him shell-shock along with the shrapnel being discarded. There is also a chance that the explosion would cause the second car to explode. If this were the case, then Kyou being so close to a double explosion.. There is a possibility of the explosions sending him flying into another vehicle or even knocking him out.
Immediately after throwing the car, Aegis picked up his shield and held it horizontally almost like a discus, he didn't give away his movement at all, he simply stood there with the shield, but what he was thinking.. If Sarah planned to play savior again and kick this car away, Aegis was going to sling the shield at the car causing it to explode in her face. "C'mon.. go for the bait."
By now, anyone still under the effects of the mist should hopefully be wavering in and out between hallucinations and coming more toward reality.
