Samurai Blue (Kazuya's House)

"... Is that so... To be perfectly honest, the only roommate of sorts I ever had was my older sister, and we already get along well, so I've never had a real roommate, one that wasn't blood related to me."

Hearing Sarah mention Pillar titles though, brought a slight smile to Kazuya's face. He had actually been a Pillar at one of his previous schools, Point Hope High, he had been the Student Body President, and had remained unchallenged, even up to his death at the hands of Marquise. The previous school he had transferred from, Public High School #42, he had no desire to become a Pillar, and even now, he didn't have much of a desire to challenge any of the current Pillars. Maybe in the future, he would, but for now, he was just concentrating on settling into the school.

"... I have a few friends, but they either have their own place or are living with family. The first few weeks I was here, I spent mostly to myself and just trying to earn the credits I needed to graduate. Being a social butterfly was never really my thing though. But my door is always open to any of those I know that need help or a place to stay."

Having finished his egg and sausages by now, he was now working on the toast, and was using half of his slice of toast to mop up any leftover yolk on his plate.

"... Who knows, my potential roommate could even end up being my future girlfriend... if I ever get a girlfriend that is."

"... Maybe in the future, I'll need a wingman, but you would be my first choice, no doubt about. Besides, and I am not trying to insult you, but I'm not interested in you anyways Sarah. I definitely do agree that we'd make better bro and bra anyways. Currently, there hasn't been any girl that I've set my eyes on, though that's mainly because I don't know many girls right now."

Though it wasn't from a lack of trying on Kazuya's part, he just hadn't had much time for socializing. Between the confrontation between a teacher and some of the students, the attack at the mall, just to name a few, he had been kept rather busy, meeting others, much less girls, had been the furthest thing from his mind. He liked Sarah, but only as a friend, as he saw her as someone he could talk to, be sarcastic with, and she wouldn't mind his dry humor.

"... I know a couple girls, aside from you, but I'm either not interested, or don't know them well enough yet."

"... I hear you on that. I mean, I'm not ashamed to admit you're really pretty, but I can never see you as anyone but a close friend... and wingman, if the right girl ever comes along."

Kazuya had been in love with three girls before, Sephora Tsorovan, when he had been at Public High School #650 and Point Hope High, Emi Hitokata, and then Sacricia Emily Lourdes E. Delos Santos, both at Public High School #42, but had only been in two relationships before, with Emi and then Emily. The first one with Emi obviously didn't work out, and the second one with Emily was still up in the air, but he was fairly certain it might as well be chalked up as not working out either, since he hadn't heard any word from Emily since he went back to Japan for bit.

"... Oh, you were dating the School Captain. My first relationship didn't work out, since we started dating right after meeting each other, like you and Macht did. My second relationship lasted a lot longer, since I knew her for much longer, and didn't really realize I liked her until much later on."

If the one girl Kazuya ever ended up liking and possibly date did come along, he wouldn't realize he liked her right away. When it came to love, Kazuya was pretty dumb, since it took him a rather long time to realize he liked someone, which was good and bad. Good in that he would spend time getting to know the person, bad in that someone could possibly ask the girl he liked out before he could.

"... Sirynn is more of a bara little sister to me, I barely know Vivi, and this one girl, Christa, is definitely a good friend. But if the one girl ever comes along... I'd probably end up spending most of my time with her before ever realizing I like her."

"... Honestly, you'll always be Sarah No-Last-Name to me before ever being the girl that dated Macht Starke, the School Captain, plain and simple. Even knowing that now, it doesn't change who you were, and still are, to me. And I'm not interested in Sirynn, even if she was old enough, and Christa is more of a good friend than anything else. Vivi I barely know, but even if I knew her well enough, I probably wouldn't be interested anyways."

Giving a shake of his head while casually shrugging, pushing his chair back, Kazuya would get off his chair and head over to where Sarah was sitting, grabbing her empty plate and along with his own, would take the dishes to the sink to wash. After he had finished washing and drying the dishes, he would place them away, before taking a seat across from her. It's not that Kazuya was picky when it came to who he was interested in, it's just until he knew a girl well enough, he tended to act polite but emotionally distant, the years of getting into more fights than he could count causing him to create a protection of sorts, to avoid his heart getting attached to a girl, because he never wanted others to get hurt because of him.

"... Whoever that girl ends up being, whether it's with me or not me, I just want her to be happy, that's all."

"... You're welcome, I'm always more than happy to help you if you ever need it. You're quite the fast learner, so I'm sure you'll progress fairly quickly without my assistance. I'll keep that in mind, same goes for you Sarah, if you ever feel like practicing against a real opponent, just drop me a message any time. Oh, and since we're exchanging last names, mine is Hikari."

Kazuya climbing to his feet, he would walk Sarah to the front door, and sliding it open for her, would wait for her to get her shoes on and wave to her once she had walked out the door. He would watch her head off until he could no longer see her retreating back, before sliding the door shut and head back into the hallway. Sarah wasn't the only one that had training to do, Kazuya too had more training to do for himself for the present and future, not only to get stronger so he could better protect those close to him... but for himself as well.
