Regulated Methods (Christa)

Continuing to watch Christa carefully, making sure she didn't hurt herself, the last thing he wanted was for her to launch the kick, only to end up hurting herself, after a few more times, she managed to execute it perfectly.

"... Excellent, that was very good. Next... I want you to try the kick on me. Using it on a dummy is good practice, but I want you to get a good feel for using it on a real opponent, one that can evade and counter your kick. So try and hit me in the chest with the kick. Show me what you can do, Christa."

And to show he was dead serious, he would get into the stance he had gone into when he first showed her the first kick and two punches he would be teaching her.

Unlike the dummy, Kazuya wasn't going to stand still and take the kick to the chest. Instead, as she went to kick him, Kazuya would evade the kick by moving to the side, just barely though, ending up beside her. He would then launch a simple tap with the back of his hand to her arm, indicating for her to try again. He said he wanted her to try and kick him in the chest. He never said she was restricted to using just the kick alone.

She could use any moves she had at her disposal, aside from pulling any fast ones or using underhand strikes to kick him in the chest. Even forcing him to block the kick would be a success. He just wanted her to experience training against a real opponent.

As Christa dashed towards him and tried to grab both his arms, Kazuya would evade to the side, resulting her in managing to grab only one of his arms and pull it away from his chest area. If she tried to kick him in the chest area, despite only managing to get one of his arms, with his free hand, he would grab hold of her leg preventing her kick from reaching his chest. He would then try to push her backwards and into the wall behind her, keeping her pinned against it.

If she did not try to kick him, with his arm still in her grip, he would try to push her backwards, but only to send her off-balance and enough that he could free his arm from her grip, and if he was successful, would resume his stance from the beginning.

As his arm was still in her grip, unless Christa released him, Kazuya would end up falling with her. As they both dropped however, Kazuya would let go of her leg, and as her left leg came for his chest, he would block the kick with his free arm and then quickly through his weight to the side, so that the two of them would roll and he would end up on his back on the mat, her on top of him. And so he didn't end up crushing her beneath his body. Staring up at her, a slight smile would slowly appear on his face as he nodded his head slightly at her.

"That was a risky move you pulled... But it paid off. Good work. Next, I'll teach you the jab... But you might want to get off me first."

Sitting up after Christa got off him, Kazuya would climb to his feet, moving back towards the training dummy. He had been in plenty of fights in the past couple schools he transferred from, both under the Corporal Punishment System, so this was nothing new to him. If only he could hear Christa's thoughts, he'd probably just smirk slightly at them.

"Next we'll move onto the jab. It's one of the more basic punches, so I'll have you try a few times before moving on."

Standing in front of the dummy, Kazuya would launch a jab, delivering the straight blow from a distance, his arm above his lead foot, the punch quick and explosive, striking the dummy hard. As this punch was generally used for distraction, keeping distance, setting up, and defense, it wasn't an overly complicated punch to learn, and was usually Kazuya's go to punch to determine an opponent's ability.

"... Your turn. Try to get a feel for the position and execution first, then work on the striking speed and power. Go ahead."

Keeping a careful eye on Christa, making sure she didn't overexert or accidentally hurt herself, she would try it once, twice, three times, four times, the strength behind each try increasing, after a few more times, she would get the jab down pat too. Admittedly, her full strength was not the most powerful, as Kazuya had definitely felt worse, but she literally had limitless room for potential and growth.

"... Well done. Next is the uppercut. This one requires a little bit more effort to execute, so I'll demonstrate again, and then you can try it for yourself."

Stepping up in front of the dummy, Kazuya would take up his usual stance, and pulling his right arm back, he would raise his fist vertically towards the head of the training dummy, striking it squarely in what would the bottom of a person's chin. Though Christa didn't necessarily have to hit the dummy in the chin, as the uppercut usually hit the target's head or upper body.

"... Now you try. Go ahead."

Giving Christa a slight nod of his head, a small smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth, though she had hit the bottom right of the jaw of the dummy, she had gotten the hang of the uppercut slightly faster than the previous two techniques he showed her, more than likely because she already knew to take her time with the positioning and timing, before speeding the execution up.

"... Well done. You don't have to hit the bottom of the chin exactly, anywhere on the head or upper body suffices. Do you want to take a break, or continue on?"
