A brand new group is on the making, The Apostles, a Pillar-like group led by none other than our brand new headmaster, Gregoire Girard. A student body that would lead students and enforce the law on this little school of ours. Little is still known about this student body, but who knows? It might just be what the school needs.

A lunch box is seen last Friday, around 12:37:08pm with an encouraging note packed inside. This appalling display that utterly lacked manliness has left many students stunned and outrage, as some decided, after a long while, to speak out against it.

Edit: Thanks for it being pointed out, phones signal and internet would not reach in the tunnels. --- Under the Dark Tower It was another day of school, well the end of another day of school at least. The main bell had rung, student's were leaving and the day seemed just like any other. As kids of varying ages cross the school courtyard in order to leave the school ground and go home, or out to whatever parties they loved. However today was not a normal day, today was a day money was to be made. Today was were accidental and unforeseen event would lead a small group of student from this school, to be thrust into danger. Suddenly a rumbling would fill the courtyard, the ground shaking. A earthquake that knocked everyone to there feet. Suddenly in one small section of the courtyard, the ground would give. Spilling away from under the people there before any of them could dive away from the growing hole. Each of them would slam in to rock, painfully rolling down a diagonal crevasse into the earth. The trip hurt, but the group would not be too beaten up, as suddenly the roll stopped and one by one the would land once more against stone. The way they had come from, blocked by more ground falling in and cutting off escape that way. Macht, Valo, Zoe, Sarah, Ruby, Yukine and Soran. Would each be feeling the trip down and on the floor, but they would not be injured really. The dirt and sand that had been around the stone as they came down had softened the impact some what. It was dark, but there was a little bit of ambient light. Just enough to see by, but not by much. Looking around each of them would be able to notice the following. Firstly they appeared to be in an abandon subway line, metal tracks in pair running along the wide tunnel they were in. Secondly the main tunnel to the north appeared blocked off, just as the way out above had been so. Thirdly, the main tunnel went to the south. However slightly farther down, a door would be on each side of the tunnel, one heading west, the other east. The east door appeared to be void of any marking, while the western door was open and swinging only on one of it hinges, the other broken.

| | Yukine would just be in the courtyard making his way along it, towards the school entrance, it had been a good day so far and he didn't think anything else could go wrong, how could it? He was having decently good luck today so he was confident in it. He'd continue walking a little and about less then a minute later the ground would start shaking violently "What the fu--" Yukine would be cut off completely by the gaping hole that opened up in the floor, unable to do anything Yukine feel into the hole, hitting off a rock "Ahh, shit...!" he'd shout on impact with the rock, it stung him a little but nothing that badly, he just got a fright, that was why he reacted so badly. A couple of seconds later, he'd hit the ground and stop moving for about a minute, he'd then try push himself up, though it was slowly to make sure he didn't damage anything. When he pushed himself up a little, he'd try take a little look around, there wasn't very much light so it was sort of hard to see but he was sure he could see a few other people "Ahh, good, I'm not alone at least" well, he kind of expected this due to the fact that he was in the courtyard with other people but it was still good to see other people, though he couldn't make out who was there. He wouldn't really look around much more since his eyes were still unfocused, so he would just push himself to his feet and go to see if the other people were alright.

Sarah had been practicing in the courtyard, practicing carrying her new hefty weapon. Getting it in was easy enough, being metal but obviously not having any sort of sharp edges she was able to simply say it was a science project that she was bringing in for grading. There wasn't any sort of bomb technology in it, just the tech that gave it its special quality. Still, explaining why she was swinging it around was going to be difficult.
Or was it? Instead of that there had been a bit of seismic activity, causing Sarah to drop to a knee and place her hand on the ground. The sword was weighing down on her back and as she fell down hard on rock she found herself trapped in with some of her classmates. A few of them she recognized, a few of them she didn't. Still, all the same, Macht was here which meant that it would probably revolve around following his example. To keep things from being awkward she kept quiet, her eye looking down the the two pathways that were open to them.
Sarah began walking down the tunnel toward the south, and when she caught sight of both doors she examined closely the one with the broken hinges. She wanted to see if the hinge had been forced off from the door, checking to see if the door had been busted to break through into the other side, or to break through to get to the side Sarah and crew were on. Her eye scanned the rest of the door.
"This way could be a trap." She said, looking over. "Anyone feeling particularly lucky?" She thought about what had just happened. The broken hinges suggested forced entry, that next to where they fell was a little too coincidental. And given that she and Macht and Valo and Soran were all here, multiple strong fighters she could see with her eye, this felt a little coincidental. "Any takers?"

| step aside bitches there's never a fucking break here. { tags } { words ### } { short notes }
Macht was laying on the bricks around the fountain when the earthquake occurred. Startled, he hopped off, only to find the ground crumble beneath his feet. He would land on his prosthetics first only so he would feel no actual pain, and from there he pushed himself up to his feet rather quickly. His eye glanced up at the hole they fell through now covered, and immediately the redhead knew this was going to be a real pain in the ass.
"Are you fucking kidding me," he said to no one in particular. Dusting himself off, Macht looked around at who was here with him, and frowned. Capable company, but only to an extent - and only one person he was even remotely fond of at the moment. Opting to speak to no one, the German moved down the path and stepped past Sarah. As he did so, he cocked his head from Valo to the other door, seeing as the smart fuck could probably check it out and was strong enough to brave any traps that may have laid behind.
Pushing past the broken door with his prosthetic arm, Macht would take a moment and wait to see if anything were to strike at him. From there, he would rip the door off the hinge completely, break it in half, and use it as a shield as he ventured through. He would move carefully, taking note of everything he could observe before he actually made any progress.
With all the weird shit he'd been through lately, it couldn't hurt to be careful.

Post by Ruby on Aug 9, 2015 13:57:16 GMT -5
Ruby was walking out of the school, silently making her way down the steps and heading off across the courtyard. She stopped when the earth started shaking, her violet eye growing wide. "Earthquake? Well, I'm glad I'm not inside where I could have gotten crushed--" she thought, thinking the best too soon as the floor beneath her gave in and she went toppling down into the darkness. She would git the rock and make herself roll to try softening the landing (not that it was bad in the first place), and finally tumble to the bottom, collapsing on her back. "Well then..." she muttered, standing up to her feet and dusting off her cloak. It was dark, and Ruby was just about tempted to take off her eye patch to see when she noticed a few other people down there as well, instantly making her think otherwise. She'd recognized Sarah... having bumped into her once before, and she'd seen Macht before as well... though knew absolutely nothing about him. She recognized Yukine, and the rest were... well, strangers to her. They all looked far stronger than her in every sort of way, and she began to remember just how weak she was in comparison to them all... probably staying back and trying to stay unnoticed would be best to avoid any trouble with them, she figured. She knew she'd likely be useless or pushed to the side due to her lack of ability in their comparison, but when Sarah spoke up and no one seemed to respond... Ruby thought that perhaps she could suggest something. "Well... there's two doors, right?" She asked, looking around. "So that's probably two paths... but we don't know which one will get us out of here." Ruby paused a moment, trying to process the situation. Everything seemed off. They were in a subway, sure, and that could be normal... but still, something gave her a bad feeling. It was an unsettling eeriness about the place that she couldn't shake... Why was one door fine while the other broken? Had someone tried to leave this place as well and exited through the good-appearing door, fount it to be a trap, and tried to get to the other door, knowing it must be the only way out... only for it to be locked, so they had to break through it to get on? Or perhaps they had gone in the door that was broken only to find it a terrible trap and tried to leave, but couldn't so they had to break it to get through? But who was to say anyone else had been down there? What if no one had been down there and whoever designed this place created two doors that looked so different as a trap in itself, trying to get the victims of this puzzle to try figuring it out when there really was nothing to figure out. Or that they would try to go through one door or the other, thinking that one of the hypothesis of one being safer than the other was safe, when in fact, it was a trick to make them go for the wrong door? Or was there even a wrong door? What if there was no trap at all and this truly was just an abandoned train station? Ruby would take a few steps towards one of the doors, still very far away from them and still close to the other people. "Well, I guess we can see if the nice door is unlocked, and if it is, then we split up in two and try to see whichever one gets us out of here?" She suggested. It seemed like the best plan to her, since no one else was suggesting anything and she couldn't think of anything else. A part of her felt like this was still some test and they were supposed to go through one door and not the other, but from her understanding, it could logically be either door... She noticed how one of the other people--Macht--headed over to one of the doors and tried to work his way to open it. Well, there you go. "Well, that is, unless we all want to stay here. I wouldn't mind staying here, this place isn't that bad... but then, you guys are probably normal and wouldn't want to be here... so I guess trying one of the doors would be best to get out..." she said, stopping in her steps and looking around. "But, what if the train came and that was the way out? When in fact, we've been thinking it was the doors all this time? Sure, this place looks abandoned and I don't see any trains... but... you never know!" Ruby paused, looking at the others, feeling like she was probably getting a lot of disappointing faces, or looks of disapproval. "Er... well, I don't know... does anyone smarter have any ideas...? Please don't hate me," she'd quickly mutter the last part, throwing up her hood and obscuring her face with shadows, heading back over to Yukine where she'd stand awkwardly behind him...

Post by Zoe on Aug 9, 2015 16:43:59 GMT -5
Zoe sighed as she leaned against the bench outside of school. The girl looked down to the violin case next to her in thought. She had to head to her music lessons in about an hour... It wouldn't hurt to get some practice in before hand right? Looking up, she chewed on her bottom lip thoughtfully. The home she lived at was way too loud to practice in. School had ended, so the courtyard wasn't too busy. She'd just practice here until it was time to go. Or at least, that was the plan as she began to prepare her violin. However, clearly, someone else had other plans. As the earth began to shake, Zoe's eyes widened. ”An earthquake!? In New York!?” she stammered as she was knocked to her rear by the rumbling. Holding her violin tightly, the girl glanced up- searching for a power user. Earthquakes didn't just happen in New York.
As Zoe tried to stand, the ground would suddenly begin to tilt, giving way underneath her. ”Ack!” she'd yelp as the girl felt herself tumble down into the crevasse of the earth. A cloud of dirt would fly up around her as she landed on the stone. Coughing, Zoe leaned up, trying to figure out where she was. Looking down, she sighed with relief. The girl had managed to keep her violin from being broken. Her shoulder ached though from landing on it roughly. She'd hold the violin with the hand of the aching shoulder before rubbing the painful spot with her free hand as she sat and tried to figure out what exactly had happened.
Where they in a subway..? Looking up, Zoe bit down on her lower lip anxiously. She didn't like being in enclosed places like this... Shuddering, the girl reached up to press against her glasses, trying to call for help... However, nothing happened. There was absolutely no reception. Was it because they were underground, or was it because someone was making it so? There was no way of knowing. Zoe would slowly glance around to everyone that had fallen down this way... From what she knew, some of the strongest students in the school were down here. Was that just a coincidence? Or was someone or something trying to state a challenge. The girl would rub her chin silently as she looked down in thought- attempting to piece everything together.
As the others stated moving, Zoe glanced up at them. She moved to stand, dusting off her skirt as her eyes looked over everyone. Of course Macht would be the one to start doing something- he was the school captain after all. Zoe glanced over towards Ruby, cocking a brow as the girl spoke. She didn't know this girl even remotely. Sighing, she spoke gently. ”Even if this was an active train line, the part of the tunnel is blocked by fallen rocks. They'd be able to tell and wouldn't run any trains this way- not only that but there was just an earthquake in New York City. I don't think they'll be running trains any time soon,” she shrugged. Cradling her violin in her arms, she'd move to begin following Macht.
”Either way, we have to act with the assumption that this isn't just a coincidence or accident. First, an unnatural earthquake in New York, then some of the school's strongest students all just happen to fall into a hole together with no way out?” she spoke, reaching to rub some dirt from her nose. ”This feels like a challenge of some sorts to me. With everything that's gone on in the past, we can't be too careful, right?” The girl would look over everyone as she adjusted her glasses and smiled weakly. Zoe was clearly nervous- even in the dim lighting. Out of all the people here, she was pretty sure she was the weakest physically. ”I don't think we should split up. If we just go through every room together, with all the skill sets we have here, we should in theory be able to handle anything...”

"Yeah. Yeah, of course. I'll call you when I get there, Stormy. Yeah, alright. No, I won't forget your burgers. Yes, I know you want three. No, I---"
Valo was interrupted from his phone call when the earth started shaking, falling to his hands and knees before the ground gave way under him. Rolling down the slant that led below, Valo would hit the ground, catching himself in a roll and landing crouched down on the ground. He looked back up at the hole he fell from, seeing it had caved in. Son of a bitch.
He was dressed a little nicer than usual (formal casual), having plans to have a little date night with Stormy right after school ended and he made it home. Looking at his phone, however, he saw that he could get no signal from down here. Son of a bitch.
He took a look at who he was surrounded with, seeing a slew of familiar faces with a couple he didn't recognize. Sarah and Soran were competent from what he understood, and Zoe was really intelligent, but it was Macht that made him feel like there wouldn't really be an issues down here. It depended on what they came across of course. Last time Valo was stuck somewhere with Macht, he, well.... kind of died and became the Wraith. And this situation was already feeling a little too much like that. Son of a bitch.
He nodded to Macht as he gestured to Valo, and proceeded to ignore the others right now. He approached the other door carefully, pulling a coin out of his pocket and tossing it at the doorknob to check to see if it was rigged in any way. He would then examine it closely, along the top and bottom and sides, and try to see if he could hear anything on the otherside. If there was nothing out of the ordinary, he would ready his Infinite Ring for the worst, and he would grab the door handle, pulling it open very slowly and cautiously. If anything jumped out, he was ready to zap a bitch. WORDS ● TAGGED ● NOTES

Sarah examining the door would see that it was smashed inwards, before Macht pulled the door off and turned part of it into a shield and lead the way into the smaller tunnel to the west. They would not go far before something would happen that would slow there travel.
As Macht led, his foot would come down on a object, a slight raise in the floor and almost the same colour, suddenly it clicked as he put his foot down. However he was lucky, for the device that he had stepped on was faulty. Had it been in complete working order, a heavy spike would have been shot up through his foot, however instead of the, all that happened was the loud bang of the fire mechanism going off and doing nothing. Sadly though, the noise was loud and if anyone else was down here they would most certainly know.
Looking ahead, everyone that was present would now be able to start picking out some of the devices. The slightly raised section of ground, and off colour nature. However some were extremely hard to see, and there may have been other they could not unless they tried, meaning that they had to go slow or they would risk getting hurt badly.
Warning: Low threat rolls in this area may lead to activating Spike Mines on this route. If this happens and extra dice will be rolled to determine who. Player action will influence probabilities.
HUDSON's Spike Mine: When this is stepped on it it launches a spike upward through the foot, with explosive speed. This does 1+1/2 INT in damage, of the creator HUDSON (52 Damage)
--
The East door would be unlocked and any one that decided to go down the east way would not have any issue for sometime the tunnel was long and straight at first and then would start to turn southwards, almost like it was following the main tunnel they had been in before.
This tunnel had not however been laid with the spike mine that the other had, but they would eventually come to a section of tunnel were leaking pipe and broken cables would a good two meter area of possible death if they tried to cross, without coming up with a way of not touching the ground while doing so. It may have been difficult, but other pipes and cable on the walls and ceiling might be able to be climbed across. However it was possible they would not hold.
Warning: Low threat rolls while attempting to cross the water, may lead to falling into electrified water. This can do varying damage and de-buffs if it occurs.

There was no one to greet them behind the door, and it opened without consequence. Good. Letting his guard down momentarily, Valo took a quick look back at the others to see who was coming down this way before he walked in to examine what was laying ahead.
Valo walked along as far as he could go, cautiously, keeping an eye out for anything out of the ordinary, his eyes scanning the walls and floors for anything that could be rigged. But soon, he would come to what looked to be a tunnel that was leaking. With the state of the pipes and the cables along the walls, chances were that it would've been suicidal to walk into it... assuming they were live wires.
It looks to be about two meters... I can make that...
It was risky if he messed up even slightly, but he was almost positive he could leap across without any worries, going back and forth to bring over the people who couldn't make the jump themselves. He was sure Soran could make it, but he wanted to be sure Zoe was safe if she came along.

Zoe said 'hey let's not split up, so of course, they split up. Sighing, the girl turned to follow Valo. She was sure Macht might be able to handle whatever he found. It only made sense to split up the group equally strength wise if no one was going to listen to logic. Nope, everyone else wanted to do horror movie logic and split up. This was either an episode of Scooby Doo or an average B rated horror flick. Either way, Zoe felt that her input was probably taken as seriously as a talking dog's at this point.
So, Zoe followed Valo along with anyone else who chose to go with him. She'd look about cautiously, definitely not enjoying this stroll. When they came across the water and wires, she frowned. Just their luck. However... Then she started thinking. Was the water even charged? There was a good chance that the wires down here didn't have any power running to them. As Valo spoke, Zoe crouched down near the water, eyeing it silently. ”There are tons of rocks from the earthquake around here, just dump a big one or two in the water to jump across and we should be fine- if it's even charged,” she shrugged as she leaned up.
"Anyone with muscles wanna test my theory out?"

"Well, you almost killed us all there," Sarah said as she walked up to Macht, turning to look behind her she realized that was both of them. "Or rather, just the two of us so far. I think we're being ditched."
She would point at a few ahead of her, "There are more. I'll follow you though if you wanna be careful where you step, I'll just follow your steps like soldiers avoiding land mines by sharing footsteps in a line." The technique seemed sound to her and it seemed like he waned to push on. All she'd have to do is keep up with his steps. If anyone showed up she'd tell them to follow in her footsteps as well, if Macht was so kind as to continue leading the way.

Is that the best you've Yukine would follow the path that valo and zoe chose, however he would walk the path rather slowly, in fact he was walking about the same speed as a turtle, this was for a specific reason, he was simply being curious about the surrounding area, it was an abandoned subway, with two path ways, each leading different ways, one probably more dangerous than the other or maybe they weren't even dangerous at all, Yukine wasn't exactly sure though, so he continued to slowly but cautiously walk along the long dark tunnel in hope of finding something but he didn't want to go too fast or he might run into something. About five minutes later of slow walking he'd stop in the distance of valo and zoe, he would eye them up, making sure they were actually the people he came here with, he didn't want to be stupid and get himself hurt or worse, killed. He'd walk up to the spot in which they were both at and look over the edge at the water and heard what Zoe said. Yukine was in no position to talk very much, so he would try to pick up one of the heavy rocks that was scattered about and throw it into the water, hoping for it to make a way for them to get across but he didn't get his hopes up in case it didn't work. "Is that good enough for you?" is all that Yukine would say if it worked before slipping behind them and sitting down on the ground.

With the sound, it was apparent that this place was booby-trapped. Before Sarah could continue going forward, Macht would stop and look over at her, cocking his head and signaling for her to back up a bit. Using the two halves of the door, he would test to see if there were any traps along the walls, and he would do it like so - placing his right hand against one door half, he'd place it against the wall to his right, and slide it along it at all his force to see if it would catch anything, or if there happened to be anything slightly suspicious. Repeat for the wall to his left.
"Don't chance it. Make yourself useful."
Being blunt, Macht would begin to work on the floor, assuming they were still safe from there. Stepping outside the hall and recovering chunks of debris from the "earthquake" a moment ago, he would place them all along the ground where he knew it to be safe past the door. Once he had a suitable amount, he would kick the debris forward to catch any traps he could see - and hopefully those he could not - without risking his health. He hoped to uncover all traps, but knew doing so was highly unlikely. However, this would give them a better judge of what was in the room, how it happened to be spaced, and just how threatened they would be walking down this path.
If, and only if the path revealed traps safely, Macht would cautiously proceed down the hall while once again keeping an eye out for anything that could screw him over. He'd observe the area a few yards ahead of him before making any actual progress, and would step very, very lightly.

Ruby would look back and forth between the two paths. She was tempted to go with Sarah and Macht, seeing as how strong they were... but she knew she would only be a burden to them and of no help at all. That being decided, she'd go with Yukine who... was walking as slow as what was possible for him... "Are you alright?" She quietly asked him. "Or are you suddenly so slow because you run soley on sunlight and there's none down here?" It could be taken as a light-hearted joke except for the fact she was partially serious... Nonetheless, she felt joining these guys was a smart idea... there was the really smart girl, and both Yukine and the other guy looked strong as well. Sure, she wasn't anything special (at all) but there might be a chance that she could prove herself useful to these new comrades... If not, she was always an extra life that could be used as sacrifice should the time come for it. However, until then, Ruby would silently watch Yukine help with one of the boulders and she'd try to assist in helping as well... though she wasn't really strong enough to move any of the much larger rocks, so she'd just try to assist in slowly pushing along larger rocks with what little strength she had... Zoe's idea seemed pretty smart, after all. And if not... "If this doesn't work," Ruby said quietly, "We could try swinging across. I think I've still got some rope on me, and if we could just somehow get it attached to the ceiling and swing across..." Perhaps it was a dumb idea, and there might not have even been any strong wires or pipes from the ceiling that they could toss the rope around anyway... but Ruby couldn't help being far less intelligent than the others. She didn't doubt Zoe's idea, though....
