One day, after class ended, Siobhan would find that her phones and computers wouldn't work. Well, they would turn on- but as soon as she logged in, they'd flash to a black screen before code would begin flying across the screen, showing a message. If she tried to go to another computer to access accounts through the internet- that computer would freeze and display the same message as well. [[OOC I derped, pretend the message has a time]]

Siobhan tried to breathe, one even breath in and then another exhale to follow. Slowly her twitching hands grew slack on their grip handling the cellphone. Her vision swam before coming into focus. The world tilted as she almost collapsed, but then her reflexes kicked in. With a sharp crack the phone in her hand landed against the cherry wood of the desk, her sweating palms not at all soothed by the cool wood. Siobhan clutched her chest with one free hand. She wasn't breathing. How could she?
The rushing black on every screen, the littering of cords behind the monitors and computers, turning the mechanisms off and on, then back off and on once more. Nothing was working. Nothing but the listless words stretching across the black monitors in green coloring and grins. Siobhan grabbed the sides of her head in a fierce shake before throwing them down, and then up towards the computer monitor.
"Work, work, work, please- work, don't do this to me."
The black screen tried to start up before the dark color muted the starting blues and grays. Once again, Siobhan was confronted with the mocking message. This is what she got. Her punishment was coming down onto her and it was disastrous. Siobhan felt tears well in her eyes. She didn't want to go back. The idea of her father coming after her was finally cracking the fragile shell around her. His anger and paranoia would all be unleashed onto Siobhan and then there would never be a chance for allies. The light would never come filter in again.
Seized with fear, Siobhan threw the phone in her hand across the bedroom. The monitor came from the wall and onto the wooden floor. Following behind it were the silent screams in Siobhan's head, she could not speak aloud. Once the attention was brought to her, it would truly be all over. She needed time to think. How could she fix this? I can't fix this. What if Valo had an answer? All of those secrets, those illegal documents, everything, out there in the open. Siobhan told herself to shut up. Be quiet, don't speak, let me think- And then there were the files listed in neat manila folders on the hardrive, all listing every member of the Arden mafia.
Siobhan curled beside her desk trying to breathe past the panic in her throat. She didn't have a choice, she had to meet the girl on the rooftop. What about allies? What about making amends and forgetting this life? Tears began to seep past her closed eyelids. Siobhan had failed. Already, here she was lying on her back from trying to climb the fence that barred freedom from her. How could she have been so stupid? The chains of the Arden family were ever tighter as she grew older, and something like this had to be expected. Whether this was her father's wish or not, Siobhan found herself descending so far she couldn't remember which way was the escape out.
I guess, this is all I was supposed to get. Siobhan felt the tear tracks on her cheeks dry, her eyes no longer burning. The crushing of her chest cavity was only a squeeze against her lungs, but that was irrelevant. Slowly her tucked knees stretched out in front of her, arms drifting down to her sides and away from her eyes. I'll never be able to look at him again. Siobhan felt the hurt flesh across her, but that too was a good thing. She was still alive, and that was all she needed. Coming out on top was a lonely and painful thing. Siobhan should've known allies would only hurt her in the end.
(OoC: If the next post is on the rooftop, Siobhan will just meet you there)
