courtyard sparing (Paige X Sage )

Sage was walking in the courtyard while reading a book. He wasn't really watching where he was going, but then that was unimportant. Looking up for a second though he felt that a person tapped him. Tilting his head he closed his book and turned to face the girl. "Hello?"

Sage was wearing a loose short sleeved white shirt with a pink tank top underneath. He had rather short grey shorts and just a pair of sneakers on. He looked rather cute for a guy, but anyone who knew him would know how unstable he was.

Sage looked at Paige and smiled adorably. The sociopath could still fit into society, he was just rather delicate. "Alright, where you wanna go?" He tilted his head as he assessed his outfit, deciding it was alright to spar in. He then clapped his hands. "Oh I know! To make this interesting, how bout looser has to buy the other a drink." He seem rather happy and is soon twirling with excitement.

In reality though he's wondering how to murder this girl and wonders if anyone would care... Of course Sage has been through some hard times, so if he killed the girl, wouldn't everyone be happy?

Sage would watch the other get ready as she seemed to want to fight there. Looking around the courtyard there were a few people, but not too many to have to worry about hurting anyone, not that he cared.

Now Sage has never seen this girl in a fight before, but from the stance she looked wide open. Thinking it was a trap, Sage would have to be cautious. Now Sage hasn't fought in a while, so he stretched and jogged in place for a minute or two, he hoped the other wouldn't mind. "Alright, let's start the show!"

Sage watched Paige's movements carefully. While he doesn't fight all that often, he has learned from watching others, and now would be his time to practice. Running up at a decent speed he was quick to get in front of the other since there was already a short distance between them. He tried a low sweep kick with his right foot, aimed to unbalance the other from the left side. As his body turned he tried to elbow the girl's upper arm. He knew he'd probably fail, but this would give him a good idea of her strength.

WHY DO PEOPLE EVEN WANT TO LIVE IN THIS SHITTY WORLD

Sage was right to be cautious. From the looks of things the girl was much faster then him and managed to easily dodge his attacks. "Tch." He blocked the punch using his left arm. He then saw her going towards his side which confused him, maybe it was to push him down. To counter this he would hopefully move back in time so she would miss, but if she readjusts her goal, then it would probably hit. 

Now if the attack hit he would feel odd and realize that he's slower then normal. It would piss him off, but he was still at a normal person's speed for his age, so it wouldn't hinder him that much... if everyone weren't superhuman like.... Sage would assess his strengths then and decide to step back and let himself get hit. Hopefully she would show an opening.

If the managed to dodge the attack he would turn around so he was more on her left side. A sharp jab to the side of her stomach then a very high roundhouse kick to the side of her head. Both would be relatively fast and solid and if they made connection, it'd probably hurt.

Sage noticed Paige didn't really have a poker face as he noticed she seemed rather proud. In his mind this was a good thing because she could easily lower her guard, but then he also knew that somehow she made him slower which is nothing to ignore. At first Sage was going to take the hits to figure out how hindered he was, but on second thought he tried to dodge. He hopefully dodged the punch to his back and it would end up most likely to his left shoulder blade. It would hurt, but it's better then his spine being punched.

Luckily for him, he had fairly good perception and he noticed she was also trying a kick to his lower leg. Sidestepping quickly hopefully helped avoid it since she had planned to hook her foot around. Now watching her carefully he knew she was someone who practiced fighting daily, which put him at a disadvantage. But he did notice he didn't hit her yet, at least at full force... so.

Sage took a slight deep breath then quickly rushed Paige. He wasn't as fast as he could be, but he still hit hard as he just continued an assault of hits to her front. Hopefully she would either guard or step back which worked either way since he was still coming for her, not intent on stopping. After doing this for enough time to wear her down, he would pivot his foot and do a harsh kick to her stomach with his right foot. Right after his left hand would go for an upper-cut on her chin because it would hopefully help his balance.

He sighed as his attack really didn't work. It was disappointing, but also quite fun as it would make him have to think out of the box. Now she would manage to grab his arm and pull him forwards, but luckily for Sage, he was light on his feet as his style mostly consisted on kicks. So sailing towards Paige, he was almost on top of her now with the momentum of the pull. He would plant his feet on the ground and as quick as he could he spun so he would try to hit the back of her right leg to make her buckle down.

If this worked he would elbow her left shoulder hard and knee her in the throat with his other foot after he regained his balance. Now if any parts of this did not work, Sage would try to put distance between them and wonder when this speed thing would wear off.

It all happened so fast. Paige was suddenly down and before Sage knew it, there were flames. The natural thing to do would be to back off, but Sage was tired and wanted to end this. He noticed that the fire came from his mouth and as Paige tried to make distance, Sage would launch himself forwards. It would be best to avoid the flames as much as possible since no one wanted to get burned, though he thought she would see through this.

Coming for Pagie, Sage went right through the flames. Using them as cover, he kicked Paige square in the chest. Hopefully Paige would be too surprised to be able to react to such a trick. As this happen though, Sage gets some large burns on his upper body where the flames hit the most. The pain was awful, but if he could end this, he could get help after
