He would look away- he didn't mean to say he wanted her to stop. He loved her and didn't mind at all if she sobbed until the sun set. He just...couldn't do it himself. He would take a deep breath and look back to her as she said what she did.
"There are monsters at the school- I fought them. Real ones that make me seem like a baby. And these monsters are afraid of whats coming. I am weak, Phoebe. But I'll get stronger. That's a promise."

Bee slowly shook her head with a small sniffle, still leaning against him. She reached up and tapped just above his heart.
"You're strong."
He had a strong heart. And while heart didn't always make up for physical shortcomings, it helped with drive and determination. It was one of the most valuable assets a person could have.

Allen...didn't argue that point. Perhaps that was true in some ways. In others, not so much. Like how he attacked and blamed Leon, thrashing his house. In others, like fighting and protecting (or trying to protect) those he loved....perhaps a little strong. He would stand up slowly, so she wouldn't feel pushed off. He smiled and took her hand.
"Lets go see a movie or something. Get out and do something besides constantly worry and fret over this place anymore. Lets...go be teenagers for a bit, hm?"

Everyone had weak moments. And it was what one did in the wake of them that mattered just as much. Bee straightened with a mild sigh and then blinked at her little brother. She...didn't feel like going out. At all.
She just wanted to curl up and cuddle and sleep.
But...
Allen needed that, too. So she gave a little nod and stood, leaving her blanket behind on the couch. She would stoop and gather the pictures and papers on the floor...and put them into a small pile, the pictures beneath the papers.
