Welcome delinquents to PHS #552. A few reminders, no rough housing, no running in the hallways, no cheating, and no talking back to your teachers. Beyond that, enjoy yourselves. After all these are the years you’ll look back on, and remember, you mother fuckers peaked too early.

A brand new group is on the making, The Apostles, a Pillar-like group led by none other than our brand new headmaster, Gregoire Girard. A student body that would lead students and enforce the law on this little school of ours. Little is still known about this student body, but who knows? It might just be what the school needs.

A lunch box is seen last Friday, around 12:37:08pm with an encouraging note packed inside. This appalling display that utterly lacked manliness has left many students stunned and outrage, as some decided, after a long while, to speak out against it.

. o O ( Aside from a possible assortment of Corey's characters. )
Pheebs was spent.
Between Riot's...rioting attack in Time Square, and learning that her mother had been taken, tortured, and killed - neverminding that it might not have been recently - Bee just couldn't. She sniffed a little, looking at her hand with red-rimmed eyes. Five-five-two wasn't safe, and she should have known better than to come back, especially after as little time as six months.
She couldn't hack it. She was weak. She was afraid.
Her mother - her last surviving parent, despite rarely being around - was dead at Riot's hands. Riot had broken in and taken her six months ago. Who knew what Allen and Aaron (okay, she had a pretty good idea about her brothers) and Biron and Saya would do...but she couldn't lose them, too. She just couldn't.
Riot had proven they could.
Somehow, she would convince them. They'd move, disappear. Between their mother's life insurance and the capital from her business, they could do it. They would do it. Better to sacrifice pride than to wind up dead too early.
She was sitting cross-legged on the floor of the living room, her blanket over her shoulders. She was staring at some items in front of her, the edge of the blanket overhanging from her head shadowing her face a little.

Allen arrived home, setting his new pack down. He had a few bruises, and wounds, but was otherwise alright. He turned his gaze on Phoebe, and it softened. These last few weeks....had been brutal on the girl. Hell, months had. He walked into the living room, sitting on the couch next to her. He put his hands on his lap and watched her for a while.
"Phoebe....are you....okay?"
He knew it was a very stupid question considering what they had been through he just...didn't know how to word it. So, he figured the classics would be best. He settled in...he knew what was about to come. She was....feeling despair. He knew....because he felt it too.

Bee knew who it was by the footsteps. Even with the door locked, when she had initially heard it open, the brunette gave a tiny flinch underneath the protective warmth of her blanket. She listened as Allen padded over, heard the sigh of the springs beneath the cushion, and the soft whoosh of air as his weight settled.
It took a couple moments, but she finally twisted a little and looked over her shoulder from her spot on the floor.
"...no..." She uttered, choking back the words that immediately threatened to escape just as she blinked back a sudden resurgence of tears.
She wanted to go and hug him; so she somehow managed to find her feet underneath herself long enough to sink into the couch and give him a tight hug.

He would take her gently, clutching to her as pain from her voice radiated in his chest. He would hold her for several long moments, not saying anything in order to give her the chance to settle, or cry, whichever took hold first. It was...never easy, having the pain they did. He knew Bee was strong she just hadn't found that strength yet.
"Tell me what I can do to help, Phoebe."
He spoke softly, trying to give her room and peace of mind while he worked on finding the words to comfort her.

Bee clearly was struggling. She swallowed hard, her body shuddering a bit as she strove to keep from sobbing. She sniffed, the sound stuttering.
"...I-I...I want us to l-leave, Ali. I can't do it—I can't stay and lose you and Aa-Aaron, Biron. Leon. Saya. Yun, the others-s-s. I c-can't." Her voice cracked and gave way to some quick breaths. Fearful. "They've shown th-they c-can."

And there it was. He would speak gently into the dark....they were stolen words but he would use them to help his sister, and they were true, 100%.
"Phoebe....do you know why we stayed? Why we came back and why we fight?"

She didn't want to hear the answer. Bee inhaled and held her breath, for a long while.
It was a little while later as she exhaled, that she finally managed a sound something along the lines of 'nuh uh'. She didn't know what he felt they were back for.
But if he said for pride she would box his ears.

He would not disappoint her like that. He took a deep breath.
" It's like in the great stories Phoebe, the ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger, and sometimes you didn't want to know the end because how could the end be happy? How could our world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end it's only a passing thing, this shadow- because even darkness must pass. A new day will come, and when the sun shines it'll shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you, that meant something even if you were too small or too young to understand why. But I think Phoebe, I do understand. I know now why people in those stories had lots of chances of turning back and didn't. Why they kept struggling and straining. Why the pain didn't stop them They kept going because they were holding on to something."
There was what he needed to say- taken from one of his favorite places and modified, just a little. It stuck a cord deep within him. Especially what he needed to say next. He would gently ease her away to take either side of her face in his hands, looking into her eyes.
"We are holding onto the same thing, sis. Our mom hung onto it. Aaron and Leon, Saya...we all hang onto the same thing Phoebe- That there is some good left in the world. And it's worth fighting for."

The first sentence she didn't get—this wasn't some story, this was their lives. But as he continued to speak, the words and cadence with which he spoke made her brow crumple. What...was he seriously..? Using Lord of the Rings?
He was using that here, now.
Obviously it was important to him, so she couldn't really go with her initial wtf feeling. She swallowed and sat back when he shifted, feeling absolutely miserable. How unfair was it that he could run out the door from his problems when he got worked up but he wouldn't let her in this case where it was life or death?
"...and what if...what if the people that personally make the good worth it are gone? What if I'm the only one alive after. Or you. Or Biron. Or Saya or Aaron? I-Is it good enough to just say 'well we tr-tr-tried, and got it, bu-ut I'm all-ll alone and it's good cause—cause we did a good thing' knowing your friends and family died for the good in the world and you'll never-r-r s-s-see them again?"

His brow would furrow.
"That's...a slippery slope fallacy, phoebe. What if...what if....? The people that count on us don't think that way. The people that count on them don't. If everyone in the world thought that way, Pheebs, nobody would act for fear of what may come. Why do anything, ever? It's...not a way you can face the world. But...for the sake of your fears lets assume you're right. Let's assume we all die and you are left alone in victory."
He turned his green eyes to her.
"That...is the price we pay. And that is the risk we take. If it was me, and you all died....I would be, in the end, very happy. Because everything that I had fought for, everything that my family, friends and all those I loved held dear had succeeded. That they didn't die in vain- but most of all, that they would be proud of everything we accomplished and would not just want me to fight on, but want me to live a happy life. If anything ever happens to me phoebe- I would want you to keep fighting. Living. And making sure that your life was great. I know you'd want that too."
He knew it was a very real possibility, and so he wouldn't say it would never happen. Just that it was the risk they took in life.

Bee sniffed, snuffled, and listened. Ultimately, she knew her little brother was speaking a very wise truth...
But she was paranoid, fearful, and grieving.
Especially grieving.
And the thought of losing the other important people in her life filled her heart and body with ice. No matter how quickly they'd been forced to grow up, he was still a fifteen year old boy, and she was a seventeen year old girl. She leaned forward and pressed her eyes against the crook of his neck and cried a little more, her arms holding tight again.

He rubbed her back when leaned back in, holding her to him. His voice would be especially soft, eyes liquid. But he wouldn't cry- he had to be strong. He...had to be strong for his family. That was what Aaron told him and that's what he would be.
"I know phoebe....I miss her too."
He would wrap his arms around her and just sigh, letting her cry as needed.

She squeezed Allen a little tighter, her brain feeling like a big cotton ball with a lot of pressure. It was a long few minutes before...before she realized he wasn't crying. She sniffed and gradually looked up.
"...All-Ali. You know...it...it's okay to cry, too."

He shook his head.
"I cried enough for both of us, that first day, when I....left Leon. I won't cry again until we've had our retribution, Phoebe. I...can't let myself be weak. Not again. Not yet."
If he cried, the armor would crack and their enemies would jump on it. No, he would hold it in and use it to fuel his anger. He had to have that, otherwise he would feel like less of a man. And less of a brother or friend. He already knew he needed to see Leon. To...apologize. What he did and said was unacceptable.
"I know maybe that doesn't make much sense to you. I just...need to no do it. To feel strong."
That was most of the truth, anyway.

Bee tried to draw in a steady breath, figuring that by saying he cried enough for both of them that he'd like her to dry her tears, too. And to stop being weak.
Her arms slackened a little but she didn't let go entirely; she just relaxed a bit against him.
"...you're not weak, Ali. You're strong. I want you to know that. I've never thought of you as weak."
