Welcome delinquents to PHS #552. A few reminders, no rough housing, no running in the hallways, no cheating, and no talking back to your teachers. Beyond that, enjoy yourselves. After all these are the years you’ll look back on, and remember, you mother fuckers peaked too early.

A brand new group is on the making, The Apostles, a Pillar-like group led by none other than our brand new headmaster, Gregoire Girard. A student body that would lead students and enforce the law on this little school of ours. Little is still known about this student body, but who knows? It might just be what the school needs.

A lunch box is seen last Friday, around 12:37:08pm with an encouraging note packed inside. This appalling display that utterly lacked manliness has left many students stunned and outrage, as some decided, after a long while, to speak out against it.

Phoebe, after spending about five minutes with her back on the floor, finally recovered enough to begin moving, at least, and that was a painful process in itself. Bee had to carefully position and move herself to sit, then turned to her knees, then got back to her feet. Stiff. Sore. Hurting.
Ugh.
Snuffling.
The teen brushed her arm against her cheeks again and resisted the instinctive urge to hiss in pain. Bee turned her eyes from the jacket on the floor and made her way up the stairs, her body protesting all the way. Her teeth pressed together, jaw gritting, and she finally made her way to the living room, figuring Aaron would be there, drink in hand, watching the TV that she could hear.
She stared hard at the back of his head and stepped forwards, setting her hands against the back of the couch. If he wasn't her brother she would have...
Bee frowned. "...you...are such a jerk..."

Aaron would look up at Phoebe and give a little smile. He leaned over and grabbed the pillows so she could come and get off her feet. He would then rest his arm on the back of the couch and watch her until she sat. He would take a drink and talk while he was watching "Godzilla vs Mecha Godzilla".
"You took it well. You always do. And you can think I'm a jerk but you needed- maybe even still need- a kick in the ass. That's something even you can't deny."
He took another drink, and looked almost like a cat, licking his paws.

She dubiously eyed the pillows a moment, then straightened with a grimace...and moved around the couch to sit and gingerly press one of the pillows between her ribs and her arm, choking back a whimper. She didn't want his sympathy over this...though chances were likely he wouldn't give it, anyway, judging by his words.
Her eyes shifted and her head turned a little bit so she could look up to him, her lips pressing together.
"...yeah, well...I gave serious consideration to walking out the door after you pretty much said you gave up on me. I'd be lying if I said just hoping to end it that way wasn't appealing, Aaron...I just..." She turned her head forward, seeing but not seeing the screen. "I've never been so afraid and I don't know how to stop."

Aaron shrugged.
"I have given up. I've given up on coddling you too. You aren't kids anymore, and you have seen more in your youth than myself. You are so used to having Allen's approach, and moms approach- to talk and explain, and feel it away. The problem is those things don't help sometimes. Sometimes you need someone to put a fist in your mouth and tell you to deal with it."
He took another drink and looked at her after the last bit.
"You can be so thick headed sometimes. Stop saying you don't know what to do or how to stop. That's just confusing yourself. You know how, you've already started. You just don't understand it yet. YES!"
He shouted, Mecha Godzille giving Godzilla a good blowback. He was throwing down hard and the beast was taking it like a champ. Sometimes, it was good to root for the bad guy. Their dog, Arturus, padded into the room, sniffing and licking his hand before curling up on the floor, tail wagging.

Bee sank back into the couch at his first four words. He had given up. That hurt more now than it did when he was aiming to hit her. The brunette turned her eyes to her lap, twitching her fingers before relaxing them again.
...he'd given up...
She listened to his last words, though her heart felt like it sank all the way to her pelvis. His sudden shout had her jerking with a sound of pained surprise!
She hissed an inhale and groaned with her slow exhale before she got up with the precision of a person with broken ribs. Bee clenched her eyes before opening them so she could walk away, back the way she came.

His hand would be on her shoulder, holding her rooted to the couch.
"Did I say you could go?"
He took another drink, leaning back but keeping his hand firmly there. He said what he said on purpose. He knew how she would react. He would continue to watch as Godzilla got back to his feet. After a few moments he spoke calmly.
"You don't get it. I gave up when I came back from the military, Phoebe. I had been around for a few weeks prior to that, watching you guys. And you don't need me to be this rock for you now. I am, and always will be, there for you guys."
He turned to look at her.
"But you are rocks of your own now, and to each other. People gravitate to you, and look to you guys for laughter and enjoyment and strength. Courage. When I say I had given up- I meant I had given up trying to take Dads place. I thought that would be obvious but, I guess, from the outside it wouldn't be. So when it comes to things like this I'm going to be harder on you than Allen will, because I was sure you could take it. You've just shown me the most important thing you could."
He removed his hand.
"You proved that I was right."
He gave her a crooked smile, his eyes twinkling. It was his way of try to encourage her without babying her. He hadn't given up on her in the sense that he thought she was hopeless. He had given up trying to pretend she isn't as strong as she was. Those days...were over.

Bee grunted and then groaned at the added strain on her ribs before she relaxed, her gaze arrowing to her elder brother.
"Who said I was leaving? ...Aaron, I need some sort of painkiller. I don't particularly want to go to the doctor's right now."
She would, however, remain seated with her brow crumpled a bit. She could feel what was now a cold sweat creeping along her scalp and down the back of her neck; not from exertion but from pain. Bee kept her breaths steady yet light for the time being, listening...and even nodding a little so he wouldn't think she was upset and tuning him out. She looked back up at him after a time and leaned lightly against his shoulder.
"...I'm always gonna need you...as my older brother, Aaron. Same with Allen... Might be able to be his and my own and other people's rocks, but...you'll always be one of mine."
She stretched her leg out and brushed her foot against Arturus' side.

He would blink.
"Oh...you seemed like you were getting ready to bounce. Sorry- go get yourself some of the good stuff- vicoden, upstairs. There are bandages too."
He would hear what she said, but just let out a low "Hmm..." in response.
Arturus would turn to look at her, something like a smile on his face as he panted before laying back down.

Bee glanced at him as she got up, giving his arm a pat and smiling at the dog, that happy beast. He wanted any attention he got and then some.
She knew what he said made sense but...she needed just a couple minutes as she went upstairs to grab the meds and bandage...and take the former while almost agonizingly winding the latter around her ribs.
Between her face and the bruising on her chest, she looked a fine mess. She frowned a little at herself before heading back downstairs - pillow and all - to make her way back into the living room.
Bleh. Pain.
Slow moving.
She was gonna die, moving so slow.

Aaron would come back into the living room, holding his beer and a soda for Phoebe. There were Pizza rolls on the table and he had netflix up- it was clear she was staying and he wasn't about to force her to watch old, corny movies with him. He had SUITS queued and would smile.
"I called to school tomorrow and told them you won't be in. I'll be taking you to the doctor to have the ribs checked."
He wasn't leaving room for argument.

Bee stopped in the entrance and stared at the spread for a moment, and the series queued up on the screen. A lump lodged itself in her throat.
She had been going to ask if he wanted to see a movie, after all.
Pheebs wandered to the table to pick up a roll or two and looked back at Aaron. She swallowed her first bite and...gave him no argument, no disagreement.
"Okay."
She padded over to him and leaned up on the balls of her feet to plant a quick kiss of gratitude against his cheek.
